In the first 45 minutes, Emily guides you through a specific strength program where you and a partner take turns rotating through a variety of exercises. As your partner lifts, you spot and encourage them. And then you switch roles. This enables you to learn the exercises more quickly and get proper rest time between sets.
Then we transition from the gym to yoga mats in a calm and peaceful space to cool down, discuss the reflection of the day, and stretch. Reflection topics center around mental and physical health and overall well-being. The purpose of this time is to challenge you to get out of your comfort zone and go deeper within. Emily encourages you to reflect and capture your thoughts in your journal or share with the class.

Emily is a fantastic trainer. I have been working out with her for about 3 years and I appreciate how thoughtful she is when designing my workouts. The Anchor Method is a great way to help teen girls get together and get fit with guided work outs. Emily is great at what she does, she is always able to bring the energy when teaching class. Anchor is always a fun and positive environment. I definitely recommend!

Emily is amazing. She makes me work hard while making it fun. She is so knowledgeable about the human body and knows how to work with injuries or strengthen my body in a way so it wont hurt in the future. Anchor is an amazing place for teen girls to get in a guided workout with body positive instruction, community, encouragement and a fun environment! My daughter is really enjoying her time at Anchor and I'm so happy she has this space. This is the first type of fitness/workout/sports she has stuck with. Emily is an amazing trainer and the girls love her!
