The Bar Method Campbell is a boutique fitness studio offering barre classes for students of all levels. The signature method uses your own body weight, the ballet barre and a few props to create a transformative workout that results in long, lean sculpted muscles. Not only does it reshape your entire body, but it allows you to channel your inner strength and leave class feeling strong, confident and poised. Highly-trained instructors customize the exercises to ensure they are safe and effective for any age and every body, including modifications for pregnant women and students with injuries. I absolutely love Bar Method Campbell! The studio is always spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and has some of the most friendly and engaging instructors. From the moment I walk in, I feel welcomed and supported.

The owner, Hafiza, goes above and beyond, not only is she knowledgeable and approachable, but she also plans fun community outings that bring the studio together. It truly feels like more than just a workout class; it’s a community.

One of my favorite instructors is Cassie. She’s incredibly friendly, always cracks the best jokes, and has a way of keeping the class fun while motivating you to push yourself. Her energy is contagious, and she makes every class something to look forward to!

If you’re looking for a class that’s under an hour, challenges every part of your body, and offers a nonjudgmental, inclusive atmosphere, this is the place. The small, targeted movements pack a serious punch—I’ve felt myself get stronger with every visit! Highly recommend!

The perfect way to start my weekend! The class was just the right level of challenge, with thoughtful modifications that made it ideal for my postpartum body. Absolutely disappointed in their customer service. I left home to attend a class for the first time at this location after having an amazing experience in Fremont. The traffic got worse as I was on the road and my predicted time went up so I was late to the class. I had two friends I drove 40+ minutes to meet and attend this class with - they let the instructor know I’d be late. I knew I needed to put my things away quickly and grab some weights once I got there. There was plenty of room in the studio for me but the instructor Cassie said I couldn’t come in because I may injure myself without a warm up. That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard and she was unwilling to compromise or allow me to warm up and catch up. The website says anyone participating voluntary acknowledges and assumes all risk associated with the use of the service so I think it’s an embarrassing excuse that she would be worried about them assuming risk. I also don’t see on their terms of service or FAQ anything about not participating past a certain time. I got there with plenty of time to get an excellent workout in and she refused me entry into the studio to do so. I tried this class first via ClassPass in Fremont and told the ladies there that it was the best class I tried out of all the types. After this experience I don’t know if I want to support a business with such poor customer service and lack of decency despite me explaining my situation.

I am not someone who likes to workout and have always struggled sticking with something when it comes to exercise. I can genuinely say I absolutely love barre and specifically this barre studio! The staff is so welcoming, and the studio is always filled with so much positive energy. Each class offers a great mix of challenge and motivation, and I always leave feeling energized and excited for the next class. Sometimes I wish I could go to more than one class a day!! Bar Method is such a great full body workout. The instructors are friendly, helpful, and not over the top. They make it easy to show up and stay consistent. i just wanted to add to my previous post as i have, after a year and a half, continued to enjoy my experience at bar method campbell. the most recent challenges have literally made me challenge myself to take a few extra classes, try a new format, take a class from a new instructor, make a new friend, etc. and all to be able to garner a new pair of grippy socks...the things we do for a new pair of socks - ha! even more than this, i have continued to foster friendships with both the instructors and clients and am always happy to see new and old faces when i walk in the door. and of course, as is the goal with any new workout routine, i see physical changes in my body making the "no pain, no gain" proverb truly hit home.

Over the years, I've tried countless workout styles, but Bar Method is the one that truly stuck—and for good reason. It's the only workout I’ve consistently returned to week after week. Every class offers a slightly different experience, keeping things fresh and engaging, but at its core, you’re always getting a comprehensive full-body workout that leaves you feeling strong and accomplished.

Now, don’t be fooled by the graceful movements—this workout packs a punch! You might not be drenched in sweat (unless you're in a Bar Strength or Bar Cardio class), but you will feel it the next day—in the best way possible. That soreness is proof that you're building endurance, and stability from the inside out.

One of the things I really appreciate about Bar Method is that there’s no fancy machinery involved. Everything is done using your own body weight, with a focus on precise, controlled movements that build strength, improve posture, and increase flexibility. Occasionally, you'll use simple props like a ball, hand weights, or sliders to deepen the challenge, but it never feels overwhelming or complicated. The Studio 💖
Let’s talk about the Campbell studio, because it’s a gem. The space is just the right size—not too big, not too small—and it's beautifully decorated, giving major chic-boutique vibes the moment you step into the lobby. The studio is always clean, especially the carpeted workout area, and there’s plenty of parking, which is an underrated but very appreciated bonus.

What really sets this studio apart, though, is the community. From day one, I felt so welcomed. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, approachable, and encouraging. If you ever have questions or need modifications, they’re more than happy to help. I especially appreciate how attentive and caring they are—when I was dealing with some lower back tightness, Hafiza (the owner and one of the instructors) personally spent time after class giving me stretches and tips to help me recover safely. That kind of support goes a long way.

If you're new to Bar Method, don’t be nervous if instructors adjust your form during class. It’s part of what makes the method so effective and safe—form is everything. Even after all this time, I still get corrections (and I welcome them!). Every day your body feels a little different, and the instructors help you make the most of where you're at. Plus, there are always modifications available for different levels, and ways to challenge yourself as you grow stronger—whether that’s using heavier weights or signing up for a more intense class.

I've had a membership at this studio for ~1.5 years now and it is one of the best workouts I've done for my body and my back. I was doing yoga for years and taught prior to re-injuring my back. I have tried various studios throughout the Bay Area through classpass and I have class packages at several other studios, but barre has been such a big help to recovering from an old back injury. It's low impact, but intense strengthening and working of muscles I've never used before. The instructors are excellent (there aren't any I wouldn't go to). They are also very consistent so I know what I'm getting when I go. The studio is clean and the equipment is great. Lots of parking. I've convinced a couple of my friends to try it and they also bought class packages. I would highly recommend! And they have cute socks.

I attended classes at the bar method Campbell for several months between last year and this year. I only stopped going because I moved away, and I am so sad that there is nothing similar around my new home.
First of all, I loved the variety in the class formats. They offer a variety of classes that focus more on strength, cardio, or regular barre. From time to time they would try out new class formats as well to gauge member interest. What I love about barre is that, with consistency, you can feel real progress after just a few classes. And the variety in the formats at the barre method ensures that you never get bored! The classes are also taught by different instructors, and I always learned something new from each of them. They’re all fun, energetic, and accommodating to different fitness levels and situations. I left every class feeling accomplished about the workout I’d done, and energized by the workout and the atmosphere in the studio.
The studio is well kept and it’s set up in such a way that you can really get into the workout once it starts, without outside distractions. The carefully curated music playlists really help too! Every month or around certain holidays, there are little optional challenges that you can sign up to to keep you motivated.
Finally, the owner Hafiza always went above and beyond to make sure my experience was smooth: she helped me figure out the best membership and accommodated my schedule changes into the membership so I could always get the best value. She was usually available after classes and otherwise responded to email promptly.
I loved my time at the barre method and I wish I could keep going! I highly recommend this studio if you’re looking for a fun, challenging workout in a welcoming environment.

I started taking barre lessons here about a year back and love this studio! The instructors are super friendly, attentive and engaging. They give clear directions and provide corrections and modifications to ensure everyone has a good workout. I always go back feeling stronger than I walked in. This studio was taken over by a new owner last spring, and it's a shell of what it once was. What drew me there was the community, and I was part of that community since 2018. I even had friends throw me a surprise baby shower at the studio in 2019 - that's the kind of place it was. The vibe was always upbeat, with instructors who would banter with clients in a playful, respectful way. Some of the instructors who really drew a crowd have been pushed out by the new owner (there are some good instructors who are still there, but overall, the big personalities seem to not be what the new owner appreciates...). With many of the newer instructors, the music has been turned down several notches, which has created a much less positive, energetic experience. While the owner views this as less "distracting", it's also less fun. There are new signs all over the studio with reminders about how you are supposed to behave there -- unnecessary reminders to not take cell phones in the studio (never seen someone bring one in...), to not wear shoes in the bathroom (ew...) and to not talk during class. The only sign missing is a reminder to wear deodorant. There are other barre classes in the area that are worth checking out if you're looking for a more playful, community vibe.

I was nervous to come here in fear it would be cliquey and stuck up but NOT HERE! Every instructor is welcoming, engaging and helpful in ensuring you’re doing the moves the right way (so you can get the most out of each one).

I love that the classes are 45 min but don’t let that fool you, you’ll leave feeling more toned and stronger.

At 46, I am in the best shape of my life thanks to the bar method. A low carb diet and running were no longer effective for weight management. I knew I needed to change my routine. I decided to add bar to my regimen and within five weeks, noticed my body was changing. I was getting stronger, sculpted, had better posture and my sciatica had diminished significantly. Six months later, my friends, family and I are in awe of my toned and chiseled body.

Bar is challenging but I always look forward to class even if I'm tired. The bar method Campbell team is incredibly warm, engaging and talented. They remember your name, give praise when due and provide guidance when necessary. The facility is clean and comfortable with nice showers and plenty of towels.

I instantly fell in love with The Bar Method in Campbell after taking my first class back in the fall of 2017! The workout is like nothing I had ever experienced before and spikes my heart rate higher than what I could do when working out on my own. This is the BEST workout there is. I have been a club bar member since July 2018 and I could not recommend it more. The workout is intense and empowering and after a stressful day I can come into the studio in a mood and leave feeling confident, strong, and rejuvenated. The community is also wonderful and I love the kindness and welcome that everyone extends to each other. I never could get myself motivated to workout before barre, but now it's so easy to find the desire. I love seeing results and feeling like my best self.

I really love The Bar Method. It is not the kind of workout where you are dripping sweat, but it targets your muscles in a different way that is really a challenge. It also works muscle groups that are hard to isolate and thus infrequently excercised. It is low-impact to your joints. The instructors are well-trained, motivational, and give very personal attention during the class. I had a severe wrist injury and the owner took the time to thoroughly review and modify all excercises that were not appropriate for me. They have childcare at select times. As other reviewers have said, parking is easy. What's not to love?

This is the best hidden gem of a workout studio in Campbell! One year ago I cancelled my gym membership and all other workouts due to health reasons; as someone who worked out on the daily and thought a good sweat meant more calories burned, I was in a really difficult place. As soon as I got clearance from my doctor to work out again, I started seeking out low intensity workout studios - yoga, pilates...and then I found Bar! I love workout classes but am always a little nervous at first. When I stumbled upon Bar Method in Campbell, little did I know that it would soon become a home away from home for me! I live for these classes every week! While low intensity, these workouts will sneak up on you and the muscles you didn't know you had. Every single instructor is not only so nice but incredibly knowledgeable, unique in their way of teaching, and they always remember your name! Love that personal touch. I started taking classes at Bar Method a year ago and I love it! I used to be a runner, but after pregnancy and injuries that was getting harder to do. I needed a work out that would help me exercise my whole body, but also help me take care of my injuries and Bar Method fits that bill. I love the fact that Bar Method has a basis in physical therapy so my joint injuries feel better the more I work out. The instructors are really knowledgable and watch closely to make sure that everyone is doing each exercise correctly to avoid any injuries.
The owners, Stacy and Shadin have created a wonderful, welcoming community here. Each person is respected and celebrated for what they can do. The instructors are friendly and work hard to meet each person where she's at and help her improve from there, rather than pushing everyone to meet a certain ideal.

I need to start off by saying I have never worked out before in my life, well maybe a little here and there around the house but nothing that was going to get me the kind of results I was wishing for and I did not want to join a gym. I just turned 39 and I was about 30-40 lbs overweight and realized I am almost 40 and if I didn’t do something now to change my lifestyle, I will never do it. So I went on-line and searched for “gyms for women only” and not much was out there but I did come across The Bar Method and I went to their website and everything that I read and saw seemed interesting so I thought I’d go check it out in person to see what it was all about. I showed up on a Saturday morning and a class was in session, I was so nervous and sat in the office area hoping someone would come out to talk to me, I sure didn’t want to interrupt the class so I just waited (probably 5 minutes or so). After waiting, I realized I should probably just leave (thinking to myself as I walked out the door, well I tried) then to my surprise a sweet lady named Alexis came running after me asking me if I was just in there? She apologized for not helping me sooner as she was helping out in the class, I told her no worries at all and I explained to her how extremely out of shape I was and that I have never worked out in my life and I wasn’t even sure this was the place for me. I also told her I couldn’t even touch my toes and she explained how everything works at the The Bar Method and she made me feel so comfortable and told me that it was ok if I couldn’t touch my toes =) I also told her I was looking for women only gyms and she let me know that The Bar Method is for both women and men but in my opinion since I’ve been going, I would say it’s about 90-95% women and if a guy happens to be there it’s not a big deal at all! She then told me they were offering a free class that weekend so I signed up for the Sunday 9am class. That Sunday morning I was wide awake at 5:30am nervous as hell to go to the class lol…but I did it and I absolutely LOVED my very first class. It was hard and extremely challenging but the instructor (Alivia) I had that morning made me feel so comfortable and she helped correct me when I was doing a pose the wrong way. Now, let me catch you up to today…I just took my 45th class and I LOVE THE BAR METHOD MORE THAN ANYTHING. My body has toned up and changed so much AND I CAN FINALLY TOUCH MY TOES!!!! I am so beyond proud of myself and I absolutely love barre class and absolutely LOVE Each and Every Single Instructor!!!!!! If you feel intimidated or nervous, don’t! The Bar Method will welcome you with open arm and make you feel so comfortable!

I started barre about 2.5 years ago and it is the ONLY workout I have been able to stick with. I am petite, inflexible, was never a dancer, ballerina, into the gym, running, cycling, yoga, etc, but I love BM. I never wanted a bulked up "gym body", so BM allows me to shape long, lean muscles and the toned beach-ready body I desire. No matter how long you've been doing it, every class will continue to challenge you and you will never feel like you've plateaued. I even went through a pregnancy and was able to continue going well into my third trimester with easy modifications. It has helped me regain my confidence postpartum-- mentally, physically, and spiritually. The variety of classes work well with my busy schedule and I love the instructors here. They always know your name, seem very invested in you, and help you to attain your best form which is the only way to get fantastic results.

TheBarMethod changed my life! I used to be that person who hated exercise and could never make myself go the gym. I tried different types of activities like Pilates, yoga, personal training and even ballroom dancing and couldn't commit to any of those. After trying The Bar Method class I knew I finally found "my thing". I've been going for more then a year now about 3-4 times a week and I love how it make me feel . My body changed dramatically! I am toned and stronger then I ever was in my life! For me this is something that I am planing to do forever! About a month ago my husband decided to try because he saw the wonderful changes in me and my body. Now he comes with me couple time a week. I am in my 50’s and I have tried many exercising programs over the years. This is the first and only one that I can honestly say that I enjoy. The instructors are very friendly and attentive to your individual needs. I suffer from chronic lower back pain and they make sure to modify exercises for me as needed. I try to attend class 4-5 times a week. I can definitely feel and see the difference in my body and muscle tone. I highly recommend giving this studio a try.

Love this studio and the ladies who own it and teach. It’s truly transformed my body and I love the way I feel during and after either a 45 minute express class or a full hour long class. I have better posture, long, lean muscles and my body is stronger than it’s ever been. They also introduced me to some life changing workout clothes/loungewear that I wear everyday. Highly recommend this workout to all ages, shapes and sizes.
