I've been taking the Bar Basics class for a little bit and I just love this place. Its also pregnancy friendly which is amazing. Highly recommend! The instructor is very hands on and always super helpful and kind. I love that she remembers our names in class. It feels very personable in a big room. There's modifications for almost every move. So anyone can do this class and take other classes they offer as well.

I hadn’t been back to the bar since COVID and the studio that I had gone to closed so I had some reservations going back to the bar and going to a new studio. But all the reservations disappeared once I got to class. Every single instructors/front desk were friendly and made me realized how much I missed this community!! It’s been 1.5 years and it’s the best decision I’ve made!!

I love Bar Method Pasadena so much.

Pros:
- Incredibly knowledgeable with thousands of hours of training -- I've mainly taken classes with Anna and Emily, the GOATs fr
- Hypermobile friendly (!!!)
- Diverse classes of (mostly women), all ages and body types. If you have any medical concerns like back, knees, or even just your age, they're amazing with modifications.
- Community: it's locally owned (hi emily!!) and many people have been coming to the studio for years -- you see people with 100, 500, and even 1500 class socks.
- Culture: it's not an intense culture like Crossfit or competitive like some pilates studios. The instructors + staff set the tone that we're not there for competition or looking at others during class to compete -- we're there to better ourselves.
- Form: the instructors are great about correcting form in a gentle way
- Beginner friendly: it's super beginner friendly - they always explain exercises well and demonstrate before doing it. There are beginners every class and most I end up seeing again, so don't be intimidated!

Also, they opened up their studio to help the community during the fires.

- Cons: It's hard. But it gets easier. lol. Also, I wish there were more class times, but if the only suggestion you have is - I want more, you're going something right.

Logistics:
- There are lockers and they provide keys.
- There aren't showers AFAIK, so plan accordingly!
- Parking: Easy parking at the structure at Delacey - no circling for parking stressing about timing.

This is everything a fitness studio should be imo.

This place rules! All of the staff and instructors are fun, kind and informative. Since I started at the studio, I feel at home and part of the family. I used to be a bar fly and now I am addicted to Pasadena Bar Method. I’m challenged by the workout and have fun in the classes.
I’m in great shape! It took me only a couple weeks and my whole body has changed, let alone my clarity of mind and elevated mood. The endorphins are no joke. I brought a guy friend and he digs it too. Walked away sore and happy!

I'VE BEEN LOVING IT HERE! The instructors are wonderful and fun, with helpful personalized corrections. The diverse and welcoming classes have made my return to exercise easy and enjoyable, even as a barre beginner.

The new member program was great to try things out, and the oldpas parking garage is very reliable. I'd appreciate more cardio classes and weekend evening options, or even access to other locations' livestreams for greater flexibility.

I LOVE BAR METHOD PASADENA. Listen… I’m not a fan of gyms and exercise type spaces. Tried another barre studio but ehhh. Then I came here and I loved it. Beautiful studio loft, calm, and welcoming environment (including complimentary toiletries). Staff are so kind and helpful. Classes are challenging and my body felt amazing even after the first week. I LOOK FORWARD to going and always have tab on my phone open to the class schedule. Signed up for my first unlimited monthβ€”my first time ever buying more than a x number of classes anywhere. The Bar Method is the best thing I ever incorporated into my weekly routine.

I was looking for a workout class that challenged me, so I tried the 60-minute class. It was a bit much for me, so I tried the 45 -minute express class and it was the perfect fit! I go 2-3 times a week and I feel physically, emotionally and mentally stronger. I have also lost a little weight!

I love all of the instructors as they are friendly and encouraging. A special shout out to Madison and Emily - thank you so much for always pushing me! <3

Incredible experience! I walked in a few mins late (don't do that! *scolding myself*) and the reception lady (who also seems to be either an instructor or at least someone very familiar with the instructions) kindly allowed me in, got me set up at lightning speed, which let me catch up with the rest of class.

Our instructor was Camille and she was amazing. This is my second barre class ever, and my first at another studio in LA was harder on a cardio standpoint, but I much much prefer Bar Method's way of barre. They emphasize precision, posture, incorporates more breathing and stretching, which is the reason I take barre and pilates. I feel like for a cardio workout, I could do it on my own at the gym, so I'm not primarily looking for a cardio workout at barre. At the end of class, I felt refreshed and energized, and it was definitely a good workout (especially for your core) but doesn't leave me dead. Really excited to book my next class!

The class participants were very diverse of all ages and fitness levels. No one would feel out of place here.

I’ve been to over 200 workout classes in the Los Angeles area, lift regularly, and I have never had an instructor force their fingers on mine to forcibly pry a weight out of my hand mid workout like I experienced at The Bar Method Pasadena. A weight the instructor felt was too heavy for me but was actually a weight a lot lower than I normally use β€” it was 8lbs, in non-bar classes I use 12-15lbs. A weight I knew I could handle in a triceps kickback despite being challenged in the first workout of the circuit. This instance happened in January and I’m still deeply triggered by it. She said nothing but just began to put her hands on me to get what she wanted me to do. I am able-bodied. I did not give consent. I was not hurting myself or anyone. Do not touch me. Do not pry or force your hand. I’ve already contacted customer care online, but please know this instructor crossed a serious physical boundary with me and I do not trust them to not do it again in the future. Again, I really want to reiterate the amount of classes I’ve done both on and off ClassPass. Never has inappropriate instructor contact been an issue anywhere. This class wasn’t my first time at The Bar Method Pasadena but I will never return and will never recommend any of the studios to anyone. CorePower Yoga Pasadena is a great alternative with great instructors.

I had a fantastic experience at the Bar Method today. Although there was a mix-up with my reservation (i.e. I didn’t make one), the owner, who was working the front desk, was incredibly kind and accommodating, allowing me to join the class despite the oversight. I was fortunate it was the 8:30 am Monday morning session, which might have been less busy, but I was very grateful to participate alongside my friend whom I was visiting from out of town. The class itself was excellent and challenging, providing a thorough workout. Overall, the combination of exceptional service and a great class made for a wonderful visit.

I was long mourning the loss of my former Bar Method location, Bar Method Silver Lake - and I just want to say - Bar Method Pasadena has me back in love with barre again! The instructors are so positive, uplifting, upbeat - and the space has such an inclusive spirit. Emily's class is a particular fave, but there are so many stellar instructors here who want you to feel your strongest and best. I have never been someone who enjoys working out - at all. And so I've had a really hard time throughout my life sticking with any workout routine. But I LOVE the Bar Method, and really look forward to taking classes as often as I can. The pace is good, the routine is stable enough to get comfortable with how to do the moves right, yet varied enough to never get bored. They offer modifications to make moves easier or more challenging, depending on your abilities. And the majority of the instructors are great - encouraging without being annoying. The best part for me is the ability to get a link to a Zoom class that I can take (within a 24 hour period) as it works with my schedule. I really, really hope that continues even when life returns to "normal".

I have been a member of this studio for 8+ years because the effectiveness of the exercise is unbelievable and the staff is top notch. No other exercise has given me the results I want in such a short amount of time and is low-impact so it's very safe for me since I have had a couple of knee surgeries from an ACL/menisci tear. I have seen other members who have taken regular classes transform, which is so motivating because I am on the same journey. You can do the research about the effectiveness of Bar Method but honestly, it's the staff at this location that makes me coming back because they are so good at what they do and truly care about their clients. They are professional, friendly, encouraging, warm, understanding, and funny! Such a lovely group of people who are invested in seeing you progress and are there to help you achieve your goals. Though you're in a class setting, it feels like you're working with a personal trainer because they are always watching and correcting your form to make sure you are safe and getting all the benefits of the exercise. I love this studio and have not found anything better. If you're curious, give them a try!

Richard was a great instructor. Being the only guy in a class full of women who do Bar method on a regular basis can be a bit intimidating. Especially since I've never done bar method before. He made me feel very comfortable, even though my wife had to stifle a giggle when I could barely get my foot on the bar. Richard didn't single me out but offered enough adjustments that I felt I was taken care of.

First time to a barre class. My daughter attends regularly and I wanted to try it at least once. I routinely do weight workouts and play basketball for cardio and this added some new variety to my routine. Thigh exercises were killer!!! I’d do it again.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The studio is bright and clean with awesome amenities and the workout will have your legs shaking like crazy! Definitely a place to check out. It never gets easier which I love. I've noticed changes to my body and I'm so much stronger than when I first started going. Definitely worth checking out.
