The Barn is West County's newest gym offering functional fitness group classes, personal training, and wellness workshops. Our classes are designed to help you reach your fitness goals in a supportive and inclusive environment. Come in for an effective workout and a fun time!

Best gym on the planet. I’ve never been interested in space travel but if The Barn moved to Mars, I might just move to Mars too. I feel so lucky to have this gym and community right here in Sebastopol. Please never leave!

The Barn is the best workout, hands-down! It doesn’t matter your fitness level, age, or body type—all are welcome, and you'll feel that warm vibe immediately because the trainers are very personable and make you feel comfortable in a non-judgemental environment. The classes are a perfect mix of strength and cardio, with plenty of modifications for different fitness levels. The trainers are incredible; they explain everything and also go into detail about how it will help with your knees, back, and abs, etc. They always keep a watchful eye to ensure you’re making all the right moves and aligning properly. The endorphin boost after every class is addicting. Zoe and Urban created a beautiful community for all to enjoy, and I’m incredibly grateful for The Barn!!

Cannot recommend this place enough.

The community is incredible and is truly intergenerational with folx in their teens, 60’s, and everything in between working out together. It’s common to see baby’s come with their parents and be supported by other members of the class. People are encouraging, supportive, playful, all while pushing themselves to get stronger without being competitive or strutting. At my first class people came over and introduced themselves and welcomed me, I’ve seen it happen again and again, it’s that kind of place.

The coaches are all super knowledgeable and have a gift for communicating clearly and effectively how to safely do the movements in the workout all while keeping things engaging and fun. They collaborate on programming and it is extremely well thought out so that if desired you can come everyday without over taxing one area of the body. Bonus is that programming is posted online for each week so you can see what the week will look like or do the workouts when not able to make it to class.

Today was the first day in the new space and it’s clear that the offerings are only going to get better. The increased amount of square footage and new equipment and recovery facilities they’re adding along with the high quality nutrient dense food offerings make this place a one stop fitness and recovery destination.

If you’re looking for a place to workout you’ll get that and so much more at the barn.

I've tried a lot of gyms over the years, but nothing compares to The Barn. The trainers here are phenomenal—knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in your progress. They don’t just put you through the motions; they focus on teaching proper form and ensuring that moves are done safely and effectively.

The workouts are incredibly fun and unique. No two sessions are the same, and they’re always creative, challenging, and designed to keep you engaged. You can tell the trainers put a lot of thought into their programming and a bonus is the workouts are posted on their website ahead of time. Plus, they always take the time to incorporate thorough warm-ups, which sets the tone for a safe and productive workout.

The community at The Barn is diverse and supportive. Members are friendly, and it’s easy to feel comfortable and included during workouts. The atmosphere is professional yet approachable, making it an enjoyable place to train. I highly recommend!

The Barn is....the best. Zoe and Urban, the owners, and all the coaches re warm and funny and kind and encouraging (and relentless). I love the atmosphere with babies and dogs and an incredibly mixed group of students from weaklings like me to pregnant women to ripped guys who look as though they spend all their time grunting in a weight room. but I suspect they're just working hard at The Barn. One important thing to know - you're responsible for knowing what you can and can't do and they will always help you scale a particular move and work toward doing the real thing. I can't believe how much stronger I am than when I started a few months ago. I'm so grateful for The Barn community.

I've tried workout classes at probably a dozen gyms and the Barn is by far the best workout experience. The coaches are super knowledgeable and perceptive. They'll tell you if they see you doing something that could hurt yourself. The classes are all different, which keeps it interesting for those of us who get bored easily with the same movements. I never check the day's workout before I go, because I fully trust it will be worthwhile. The gym community is so supportive and non-judgmental, with folks of all ages. I especially recommend the Barn to anyone (like myself a year ago) who is new to the area and looking to build local community. I love the Barn!

I absolutely love the vibe of this gym. The owner brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as well as the entire staff. This community is welcoming and accommodates all ages and fitness abilities. I come from a CrossFit gym and in the less than 30 days I’ve been here my fitness has improved in ways I thought weren’t ever going to get better. I’m strengthening and training in a way that leave my body feeling stronger and not hurting like I was before. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Once upon a time I used to be in the gym six days a week when I was in my 30s. Then life happened and the best I could do with the circumstances I was in was home workouts, which were good and kept me fairly toned, but nothing to build or keep muscle. Then 60 happened and all of a sudden I had horrible balance! Because I had stopped doing strength training, I had become weak, particularly my legs. Discovering The Barn has been a game changer. At first I was extremely intimidated; everyone seemed so strong and fit. But I made myself keep going despite my discomfort. I’ve been going for eight months now, and I am feeling much stronger and more confident. Sure, there are still days where I wonder if I can do the workouts, but I get through them and after I’m finished, I feel GREAT! This is a fantastic, very supportive environment. Like a big workout family (I might need conditioning, but I’m still very picky). The owners and coaches are amazing and absolutely know what they’re doing. Incredibly knowledgeable. I’m really grateful I found them and highly recommend.

This is the best place for group training that I've found in Sonoma County and I've tried them all through ClassPass. The programming is well done and thoughtful. The trainers are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The community is absolutely amazing! The facility is clean with ample equipment, two bathrooms, a shower, lockers, and water. Great strength training and cardio mixed in (but not relied upon). Go!

I love the Barn! This gym is run by highly trained fitness coaches, who have the capacity and genuine desire to support each individual student no matter where you are at in your fitness journey. Don't be intimidated by the dumbbells; this place is an incredible resource for novices and experienced fitness geeks alike. It's also super family friendly - people are bringing their babies and dogs in regularly, which is an absolute delight.

I love this place!! As someone with a long history of injuries, I appreciate how comfortable, safe, and smart the workouts are. The coaches and community are warm and awesome - they make me feel totally comfortable taking it easy if I want to, and they inspire me to push it if I'm up to it. I’m VERY picky when it comes to fitness (former bootcamp instructor and personal trainer, and total fitness freak, so I’ve been to all kinds of gyms and classes from CrossFit and boxing to yoga and Pilates etc.) And The Barn is hands down my favorite gym experience so far.

Gorgeous, well-equipped space, phenomenal trainers, super friendly members, fun music, and an all around good vibe. It’s so much more than fitness too. It’s truly a community hub.

They put on workshops, offer 1:1 training, have a bodyworker, and are always eager to guide their members toward greater wellness of all kinds (not just physical, but mental, emotional, and social too). Can’t recommend it highly enough. I’m there almost every day. Come say hi!
