Cassidy is deeply knowledgeable about Pilates and guides her sessions with efficient attention to every detail, thus maximizing results - both targeted and full-body (including breathwork). I'm an avid long-distance runner. Running, a repetitive aerobic activity, does not employ very many muscles. I find her techniques (and her calm, empathetic, clear communication style) perfectly compliment my running and enhance my overall fitness. Utmost effects in minimal time ... Cassidy offers the best exercise deal out there!

Amazing and empowering. I can do lots of things because I am stronger, fitter and smarter thanks the Cassidy and her team. From daily carrying of things and small people to long hikes and workouts, I feel better and an injury free. The βremoteβ workouts are great. They add structure to our Work-from-home days and an extra refresh to get back to work after. Class has been amazing even though remote. Cassidy has been a great community builder and a huge asset to all her clients.

I am not a reviewer of any kind but this one, we've got to give it to them!!
I was first introduced to Pilates five years ago and it has been the only form of exercise I do regularly. My best friend owns the most prominent Pilates studio franchise in Asia (and Europe, to a certain extent), and as a result, I have always been privileged to the best instructors in each city that I travel to or live in. These are trainers who train movie stars/singers, etc. But the Body Gallery and what Cassidy has done is a whole different league altogether.
The focus is strengthening you and the effect does come fast. In the first few sessions, I was puzzled. I didn't know there is muscle in a certain spot I was suggested to try to work on.
Since it is not easy to get a schedule at the Body Gallery, I do see other instructors in another city where I often travel to. I even feel the improvement when I work out with other instructors, even after 1-2 sessions at Body Gallery.
I didn't look up Body Gallery on Yelp so I didn't have any expectation when I started. I was just looking for somewhere close by and truly stumbled upon this place. How lucky was I? In the past 3 months, I have felt so much better than I have ever been and I spend less on body massages. I would suggest anyone to train here as long as you don't take up my spot!!

Several years back I tore my meniscus and it was one of the best things that ever happened to me because, following knee surgery and on my doctor's recommendation that I try Pilates for rehab, I found Cassidy. I had never heard of Pilates, I didn't know what it was supposed to "do", I didn't even know how to spell it. I think at the time I was expecting some kind of physical therapy or exercise routine. What I received from Cassidy was so much greater and so lasting - personalized one on one attention and a way to heal, strengthen and balance my entire body! My knee has long since recovered (better than ever) and I continue to work with Cassidy because she always brings out the best in me. I feel great -and it's fun! I highly recommend Cassidy and The Body Gallery!

I went to Cassidy after neglecting my body for over 2years of no exercise, I work as a hairstylist and have always suffered from bad backs, aching hips and legs.
I am absolutely amazed at how Cassidy has helped me re-align my body and to strengthen areas to give me full support in my work.
What I also find so amazing is how much she understands the body and I can go in with an ache and pain in my back and she can immediately pinpoint it, press it, manipulate it and the pain is gone!! Bloody Brilliant, as we say in the UK!!!!
Its been almost a year of working with Cassidy and now I don't have any problems with my body at all, and my core strength actually has just that - strength!
There are muscles under there that she found and worked and I don't think I could live without my weekly sessions with Cassidy.
I highly recommend Cassidy and all at the Body Gallery to anyone who needs to fine tune their body : )

I started seeing Cassidy a couple of years ago because I was having arm, neck and shoulder pain due to years of working at a computer. I had previously tried acupuncture and chiropractors to treat this and only found temporary relief at best. But within a few sessions with Cassidy my symptoms diminished dramatically. Not only that, her approach can prevent this from happening again in the future because essentially I've been taught new skills: I have new sensory awareness of how I'm holding my body and a repertoire of targeted exercises and stretches that I can do. I continue to see Cassidy but the focus has gradually shifted to general fitness and that's been great too.

Love the body gallery. Cassidy is amazing. I have been doing pilates at her studio for over 15 years. It has been incredible for me both mentally and physically. I have noticed huge improvement in my posture. The issues I have with the curvature of my spine have greatly diminished and I no longer experience lower back pain. What I have learned here has taught me to be more effective in all the exercise I do. Even my golf game has improved!
I have tried other classes and instructors when I have been on vacation and there is no comparison. Cassidy and all her instructors ( i have taken classes with several of her teachers) are a cut above!

I am an older runner, and had a few chronic aches and pains that I had sought treatment for over the years, but with no success. After several tries, I just resigned myself to the pain. For years. After just a few sessions with Cassidy, my most severe problem completely resolved, and has not recurred. Other problems have also resolved. My posture has improved, my strength has improved, and I no longer pronate when I run; I can tell that because my running shoes wear out evenly now. Wow, is all I can say. Pilates with Cassidy has had more positive impact on my health than any modality I have used to date. I enthusiastically recommend Pilates at the Body Gallery.

Having done yoga for years, I was slow to check out Pilates but my chiropractor suggested I give it a try. After my first one-on-one session, I'm hooked! Cassidy did a full assessment of my body, spine and alignment and then got to work with me. Within that hour's time my abs felt stronger, my hams loosened and I walked out feeling ready for more. I recently completed The Vital 7 program at The Body Gallery and was blown away by the results I saw. I recently moved to the Bay Area and signed up for The Vital 7 hoping it would help me meet people and find a routine for self-care in this new city. Life goes into upheaval during a move and I have to admit my highest hopes were simply to get through the class, but I ended up getting SO much more. I found each class to be the perfect amount of challenging. Each week I was gaining more body awareness, more strength, and access to muscle groups that I had kind of given up on.
I really appreciated the assessment model of the class because it gave me a lot of perspective on how I had improved and what I could continue to work on going forward. It was a check-in for me and my body. During the first assessment, when the teacher asked me to lift my body like a plank from flat on the ground to the top of push-up position - I laughed and thought to myself, 'yeah right!' Before the last assessment at the end of the class I was mentally preparing myself to be disappointed and to not see much improvement, but this stuff WORKS! I still have a ways to go before I can match the skill of the instructors, but the improvement I saw was phenomenal. AND I feel more motivated than I ever have before to keep up with the exercises even after the program has ended. I am truly grateful to Cassidy and her team at the Body Gallery for helping me see my own strength, especially in the middle of so much life transition. I would highly recommend checking them out!

Having trained as a dancer for most of my life, I was surprised how much I didn't know about core and pelvic stabilization. I've been taught the importance of a strong center that incorporates the abdominals, obliques and lats; but, no one has ever shown me how stabilizing all the way down to the deepest pelvic muscles can strengthen movement and prevent injury. Love me some Body Gallery! I was a part of the first ever Vital 7 set of classes (once a week matt classes, tailored to help improve specific mobility problems). This was my first experience with Pilaties and really my first experience working out since having two back surgeries. I loved how the classes were designed specifically to address my problem areas due to my back injury. All of my workouts felt safe, and never did I feel like I was pushing the limits of what my recovery would allow. My typical routine (before the Vital 7) would be to go hit up a gym... max out HARD... be sore as all get out the next day... and thennnnn... never go again. Thats not how the Vital 7 works. Its all about steady, gradual improvement to get me back to business. I was instructed by both Chelsea and Amanda, who are as sweet as they come. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to regain their physical mobility and get back to feeling awesome! Ya HEARD!

Cassidy has taught me so much about exercise, my body, and balance.
I went to her because I wanted her to help me engage my core significantly. It turns out that all those crunches haven't done a darn thing.I have so much more body awareness. All those aches, pains, and pulls I feel on my left side are because I am not engaging my left glute. Amazing. She figured it out right away and helped me in the very first session. I felt immediate results. Longer, leaner, more graceful, and that darn hip pull I've spent time and money on trying to fix was gone!
She's worth every penny. I received more out of 60 minutes with Cassidy, than I have with any yoga, group pilates class, running, stairs, bootcamp, muay thai, boxing, hiking, step aerobics... you get the picture.
Invest in yourself so you won't walk around crooked and in pain later!

After being a gymnast for over 16 years, as well as being bodyworker, I "know" bodies really well. Still, I was impressed with what Cassidy told me about my past injuries, imbalances, strengths, weaknesses and genetic dispositions after just 20 seconds.
That's only the beginning of Cassidy's talent! She helped retrain my body by teaching me how to fire muscles that I didn't know how to fire and relax muscles that were over-working . She taught me simple tips to improve my posture at work and in yoga that would allow my body to receive the benefits without causing more problems. I'm also able to run again which I haven't been able to do in years.

Cassidy is a pilates guru. She has so much knowledge on how the body works, and uses it to plan your sessions, and long term goals. She works with you one on one to gain strength and understanding on each movement and exercise. Her patience and humor make each session a joy. The Body Gallery is a highlight of my week...(and I really don't love traditional exercise.)

Look, if I'm honest, I've never been to another pilates studio, so there's no way for me to compare The Body Gallery to another studio as the rating would suggest I be able to do. But I can't imagine that any pilates instructor could be better than Cassidy. Hence, the 5 stars. I don't care if I can't compare it to another place. I don't need to.
I went to her to help me rehab my bum shoulder that has been bothering me for some time. Cassidy not only provided me with exercises to specifically assist with strengthening my shoulder, but pointed out other abnormalities with my posture, gait, etc., that were either contributing to my shoulder problems through overcompensation, or would hinder my ability to re-strengthen my shoulder. She also helped me understand how all of these other issues related to the problem I had gone to see her for in the first place, showing me other exercises to help curtail each issue.
Cassidy's attention to detail on how the body moves and how each muscle relates to the other is really impressive. I wholeheartedly recommend her as an alternative to traditional physical therapy

I'm an avid beach walker, and a few years ago, noticed that my right hip was bothering me. Cassidy was able to determine that the slope I walked on every day was contributing to my pain. She gave me some exercises, and suggestions on how to prevent the problem, and I'm happy to say that I have been walking pain-free now for years! Thanks Cass! You're the BEST!

Cassidy at The Body Gallery is fantastic to work with. I know that statement echoes a lot of the other reviews, but it's 100% true.
I've had back issues for several years and I've done a lot of physical therapy (among other things) in the past, with lackluster results. I decided to try something different this year, and a friend recommended Cassidy to me. Working with her has been fantastic. I've learned a ton from our one on one sessions, she's even taught me subtle things that have greatly improved the effectiveness of stretches that I've been doing for years.
Cassidy's insight into the human body and movement is amazing. After watching me walk and evaluating my posture she was able to teach me which of my muscles weren't firing and how that was contributing to my back pain. (Not to mention making me walk funny) Thanks to her, I'm walking normal now and my back pain is decreasing.
I would highly recommend the body gallery to anyone who wants to learn more and improve the way they move.

Cassidy and The Body Gallery are fantastic. Not like your typical fitness-focused gym pilates, this studio is dedicated more to healing and long-range well-being. There's an amazing amount of attention paid to the slightest of body mechanics.
I found the personalized analysis and game plan very useful. In my case, I came in initially with a tightness in my back that wouldn't quit. That has since subsided and I have gained a variety of simple tools (homework actually) that I can, should be, and have been implementing on my own in between studio visits.
If you're looking to make a worthwhile investment in taking care of and strengthening your number one instrument -- a.k.a. your body! -- I'd certainly recommend checking out the aptly named Body Gallery.

I have never meet a Pilates teacher more passionate about Health and Fitness than Cassidy of The Body Gallery.
