I was looking for a gym to learn how to do different workouts and to help me develop a consistent workout routine. I’ve heard many great things about The Camp so I decided to check it out. Everyone was so welcoming on my first day! The trainer was constantly checking in on me during the workouts to make sure I was pacing myself, which I appreciated. As a beginner, I liked that the trainer was able to modify each station to my workout pace. In addition, the group was so encouraging, they kept me motivated!! If you’re looking for a place to workout at, I’d definitely recommend trying out The Camp!

I recently completed my trial class with The Camp Midtown and it was such a great first experience! First, I called The Camp Midtown and spoke with Antonio who was extremely helpful and patient in answering all of my questions. When showing up for my trail class, the front desk was friendly and also took the time to answer any questions I had. Jose was the instructor for my class and he was wonderful in checking in, reminding us to take breaks as necessary, and showed us modifications if needed. At first, I was timid as I’m usually not a very active person and consider myself to be “an extreme beginner” but this was such a wonderful experience. Music was upbeat, great staff, challenging classes (in a the best way), and you definitely feel the sense of community that The Camp Midtown has. If you’ve been considering this or if you’re tired of your boring regular gym, definitely try The Camp Midtown!!

For some reason all the reviews went away after I left a true one star review. I will be filling a BBB complaint along with any other complaint I possibly can. The people that work here and the workouts are awesome!

The corporate/admin practices of the camp are greedy and nefarious. Be aware when you sign up for a “month to month” there’s a cancellation fee along with your next months member fee they will not tell you about until it’s time to cancel. It’s hundreds of dollars to cancel! It’s not like you’re renting space from them and they need to find a new tenant! It’s a simple money grab!

They moved locations and said if it doesn’t work out you can cancel no problem. I tried to make it work for 4 months and it just wasn’t working out. I went 2-3 times in 4 months. Basically over $500 free for them. I went to cancel and they slapped me with $275 to cancel even tho it’s been over a year and they changed locations.

They are now sending me to collections. I hate putting this review on here because I genuinely loved the workouts and instructors but this is not a way to run a business.

They will most likely delete this review today but I will keep reposting until they change their billing practices.

Edit: I just wanted to add for any and all new members, since they don’t tell you or quickly brush by it, if you sign up for a “month to month” and you need to cancel within the first year, the cancellation fee is over $200 in addition to another month fee. So total to cancel in the first year is at minimum about $350. It’s something to think about an absolutely have a clear picture of before you sign that contract. You’re welcome.

I contacted The Camp Clovis to ask about their 21day detox program. I was greeted like an old friend. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. After completing the initial program I can honestly say this is the BEST gym I've ever been to. The trainers, the staff, and even the members are all so welcoming and working hard every day. It's such a good environment to be in and so much knowledge, support and laughter gets shared all the time. It really is like finding a group of friends to get healthier with and I can't say that about other gyms I've been to. I highly recommend The Camp Clovis.

Down nearly 30 pounds! Classes are great, community is awesome, and group accountability keeps me going every day. I prefer the 5 AM class (amazing start to the day) but they have a ton of options for classes both in the morning and afternoons. Jose Ramos is an awesome trainer! All the trainers are amazing, but Jose puts together the best workouts - he gives us plenty of space, corrects form, and holds you accountable. From day 1, which was over 3 yrs ago, Camp Clovis has been what I look forward to every single morning. I moved to Fresno 5 yrs ago and didn't know anyone, no friends. This is the place where I have made friends, this is what I consider my extended family. The vibe, the support, and the focus on a healthy lifestyle is what you will find here. When one of us is struggling with a workout or energy, we push and cheer each other on...with hugs, high fives, and 👊. Lots of positivity. All of the staff is very friendly and can provide advise on food/eating guidelines, supplements, and specific exercise alternatives if you have any injuries. Coming up on 5 years since my first challenge at The Camp! With all the incredible, talented people here, it is literally my therapy, even though I hate working out. Motivation to exercise at home or at a regular gym fades fast for me. So boring, I’d rather watch paint dry!
I would never push myself as much, or even know what I’m capable of, if I wasn’t being encouraged and told what to do and how to do it… including what to eat, which is a hard one.
I could never thank each trainer enough for what they have helped me accomplish! Each one has their own special way of doing things to help you progress day after day. I love them! It’s also very beneficial that I don’t know exactly what we will be doing till I get there, so there’s no time for me to dread it!
Everyone is rooting for you, including the members. The front desk is a hoot, I adore them! Kudos to the dream team of owners for making this place fun and organized. Also enjoying the new addition of Myzone, so I can tell when I need to step it up. I am so thankful for this hard working crew, and wonderful people I’ve met during this change in my life. This was my first challenge at the camp. Id heard about it from some coworkers but i always heard it works and it kicks your butt. I started with low expectations and attended the nutrition class which really helped and motivated me to stick to my diet. Weighing in every week also helped me push myself a little harder. Everyone that works here is very encouraging. I loved all the instructors but tony and jose are my favorite. At the end of the challenge i lost 19.2lbs in 6 weeks and even though i didnt meet 20lb challenge i couldnt be more prouder of myself. I enjoy the workouts so much i have decided to become a member and have already made friends while working out. If this is your sign, do it!!!

I have always fluctuated with my weight after having my children and now more than ever I needed more help than before. I love how much The Camp Transformation Center - Clovis classes are fun and diverse. I can tell that all the trainers love what they do and put effort into all of there classes. Amy TC, Jose TC, Marc TC Rose and Tony L TC always motivated me and pushed my to try my best. Everyone there is always helpful and friendly. I feel like I really needed this push to help me finally go for it. I know that this is a life change and I need to use all the tools they have provided.
I completed my second 6 week challenge, and even though I did not make it to lose all the weight I got pretty close. This time around I might have plateau in weight and even though I was upset about it Amy was very helpful and encouraging. I was able to over come it and kept pushing forward. Over all I still feel accomplished. I have more energy and more confidence and very happy. I encourage everyone to give it a try.

With all the new changes that happened I slowly started a come back I had gain a lot like I mean a lot weight the heaviest I ever been in my life I knew I wanted a change but for some reason it was difficult. So I decided to joined the MOC to give me the push that I needed, honestly best decision ever !! It's not an easy journey but definitely not impossible. Every trainer its unique and every workout can be challenging but Amy, Jose and Marc knows how to killi it 🥵 favorite trainers so far 👏 staff is friendly and always being so welcoming! I just completed my first challenge. I'm not fond of gyms but decided to do the challenge to hold myself accountable in trying to loose weight after my 3rd child. I appreciate seeing people at all levels of their fitness journey and that the coaches had options for modifications for each portion of the workouts. Never felt the need to compare myself to others and that it was okay to go at my pace while making sure it was an efficient workout.

I would consider myself a beginner to all things fitness so I appreciate the patience and support I received from the coaches especially Amy. From showing me proper form to holding my feet as I struggle with sit-ups. Even though I sweated the most in my life during each workout I enjoyed every bit especially the full body workouts with Marcus.

The most difficult part of the challenge for me personally was staying disciplined with the meal plan. Once I got used to it, it wasn't so bad, but it took time to adjust to especially on the weekends when my schedule can be a bit hectic. One thing I would recommend is a little more info on how you can be creative with meals while staying FTDI before starting challenge.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience at the camp. The workouts pushed me and made me feel more energized. The meal planning really helped me be more mindful in my eating habits that I can continue to follow through with now that I'm done. Thanks to everyone!

The Camp Transformation Center of Clovis has been more than just a business, it’s a whole experience. From the moment I submitted my interest form, I have been wowed by their attentiveness to each and everyone of their clients, including myself. They take their slogan awesome fit family to a whole new level and continuously show genuine concern for everyone and their goals. Antonio, Lalo, and Steven are the directors here and treat this business more than just a revenue stream, they treat it like their baby and it shows. Recently, they did many upgrades to the facility including new equipment and a facelift and it makes a world of difference. First challenge with Camp Clovis 3.0 in the books!

After baby number 4, I was at my heaviest close to 180lbs. I lost about 20lbs on my own but then reached plateau for a while. I kickstarted my weight loss journey with the help of a health coach and friend Lindsay Notrica and was down 10 more lbs. I was starting to fall off the wagon again and had to do something different, something that i knew worked for me after i had baby #3. When I heard Steven, Antonio and Lalo were taking over Camp Clovis, I knew it was the sign I've been waiting for and signed up for membership right away!

The new and improved gym along with all the amazing trainers Amy, Steven, Michael, Jose and Tony delivered great workouts every single time! The front desk ladies, Jazzy and Jasmine has been so nice and welcoming. This had been the hardest challenge I've done since starting my membership (off and on) way back in 2016 so far with all the back to back parties and gatherings we had.I didn't meet my goal of 15lbs for this round but I'm down almost 9lbs total! But more than the numbers on the scale, I'm happier with the inches lost, old clothes starting to fit better and having more energy to keep up the kids, home and work.

My health journey doesn't end here but this is the home gym where I will continue to write my transformation towards a better version of myself. Come join our AFF and #jointhemovement !

On May 29th I finished my 20lb challenge at The Transformation Center- Camp Clovis. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to make it through with a bad knee but I made it.
If you are looking for a high energy, clean and motivating gym, Camp Clovis is the place for you! The owners Lalo, Antonio and Steven, have done a great job revamping Camp Clovis. Amy, Jose, Tony and Michael are all great trainers with awesome classes. If there was ever a workout that I couldn't do because of my bad knee, they would show a modification so I can still get a good workout.
The diet was easy to follow thanks to AJ's Meal Prep. The honey mustard chicken is amazing!!
Looking forward to the second challenge. Can't wait to see how much I can improve on the workouts.

I must say I am very excited with the new ownership and remodeling they have done with this location. All team members are friendly and helpful with an emphasis on health and safety. I have tried other gyms in the area, including some of those big box gyms that say they want you to lose weight yet give no guidance on property nutrition or workout form. Plus with the High Intensity Impact Training planned out for you each day it takes less off of your shoulders. You show up, complete a workout session and go about your day. First official challenge with Camp Clovis but the 4th challenge I have completed since 2018. This was the most challenging one by far - my goal was to at least make it to the camp 5x a week and continue with my own strength training outside the camp. This was something I really wanted, so I knew I needed to make some sacrifices to achieve this goal. Some of that was going to sleep earlier, so I could be up earlier to start my day. That meant no more staying up late watching tv or scrolling through my social media platforms before bed and no more snoozing my early morning alarm. Another obstacle was cutting out the snacks and drinks that got me through the day, no more chips and soda. Thankfully to the camp’s meal plan and options (& taking a little creativity on my part) I was able to find a healthier alternative that kept me more focused and fueled throughout the day. A huge shout out to AJ Meal Prep for the first week food prep - helping me get the jump start I needed! Thank you, Ana, and Joel!

This new team that Camp Clovis has put together is an All-Star team, (Steven, Tony, Amy, Michael). Every single workout was intense and they always challenged me to push myself. However, it wasn’t just the push in the gym - it’s the Camp Clovis Staff who always went above and beyond with words of affirmation and support. The AFF culture is what continues to bring me back. The camp transformation, there is so many great things to say about this gym I don’t even know where to start. 1st of all thanks too all the staffs for making everyday at the gym fun and enjoyable. I love being there and learning and seeing my muscles grow. Steven is a great director and he will help explain how to have a healthy lifestyle and why it’s important. ALL of the trainers (Amy, Steven, Serigo, and Marc) truly will push you to what they know you can handle and they will help you as much as they can. It’s so easy to talk to them and ask them questions and message them through FB. The girls at the front desk are super helpful and niceee!! They all know their products and will explain everything to you and so that you understand what you are putting into your body. Mayra is one of the frount desk gal, she is super amazing and nice! From the 1st day to the last she was very helpful and encouraging to others and myself. If you are looking for a gym to help you get to the next level or build a life style, the camp transformation is a great place to start! The knowledge that hat I’ve gained from the gym is amazing! There is people there for all different types of reasons and age! I Super duper recommend this gym ;) and if you are unsure, just go for one day to check it out. :) also Bo is an excellent coordinator!! She will definitely bring a smile to your face when you see her!
