Do not join the swim team there. The head coach does not respond and will remove you from having access to your child's account. I have since missed 3 of my son's swim meets. Since my son's dad is heavily involved with the team, Christian Watts, chooses who gets access. This is in violation of my parental rights.

Pretty good. It’s hard to write the “cons” because I don’t know their overhead costs and what is possible, or not, for them to do. But in the interest of helping someone who has a similar schedule to mine, here goes:
1) Membership Costs are getting high.
2) The Olympic pool needs a solar cover for all these long, cold, gray winters we’ve been having (I have only been swimming 4 times in the past 5 months. After work hours it’s already so cold, and weekend weather has been awful.)
3) Classes from 4pm-close aren’t as good, or frequent, as day time classes. I think they are catering more to the many, many, many older folks who populate most of Claremont.
4) The Olympic pool is always FULL with swim team kids and they, and their coaches, are LOUD. Unfortunately they are in the pool at the same time as I am (4pm-6) Also, someone please tell the parents not to unload an entire can of sunscreen on their kids seconds before they enter the pool. It hasn’t even absorbed into their skin yet, but leaves a sheen across the water’s surface.
5) Though there is a family pool, and a kiddie pool, and splash pad, kids and babies in diapers frequent the Olympic pool once the weather warms up. Last summer I saw a poopy coming out of a baby’s diaper as I was getting into the pool. With so many other pools, I don’t know why the club allows babies not potty trained to be in the Olympic pool. It’s gross.
6) I’ve asked many times, but the hot tub in the women’s locker room is only lukewarm and the water is disconcertingly cloudy.
7) Water pressure in showers isn’t good. With our thick, curly hair, 2 of the 3 of us can’t shower at the club after swimming.
Pros:
1) Great for large families. Though this membership is high now ($313 per month) it includes 2 adults and any number of your children until age 26! My family is too small (only 3 of us) to really make it worth it, but if you have several kids, I highly recommend.
2) Responsive to some requests. Several of us asked to improve the surrounding area of the outdoor hot tubs and they put up decorative metal screens to hide some of the uglier things around the hot tubs.
3) The cafe. We use it a lot as we often are at the pool for hours and it’s nice not to have to pack lunch. The paninis are great.
The new wine bar is a great addition. Love the Super Bowl party idea.
4) Though we can’t afford the extra events, friends of ours have gone to a few and had a great time. Especially the Chicago Blues Night last year. A nice way for people to socialize and potentially make new friends.
5) The manager who walks around the pool checking on everything is so nice and keeps the area in tip top shape.
6) Piggyback that, the club is very clean. Partly due to the clientele. I’ve never seen anyone leave trash on the tables or lying around. There is rarely a piece of gum, band aid, or hairband, in the pool. That’s really nice.
The new owners seem to be trying really hard to turn the club more into a “club” rather than just a gym or a place to play tennis. It feels more upscale and more enjoyable than before Covid.
Sadly, we have decided to relinquish our membership starting in December because we mainly just swim and are almost never at the club Dec-April. This year even May weather hasn’t been swim friendly.
#GlobalWeirdness #ClimateChange
I remember that we used to be able to swim year round until about 3 years ago when winter weather became awful.
All in all, if you can afford it I recommend the club. Especially for families and the fun extra events.

This is a great place with great people working in all the various capacities. I go here primarily to work out. It's got kind of a laid back, old-school feel. For me, it's perfect -- instead of one of the other big chain brand name gyms. The weight room and cardio room are well equipped. There are numerous tennis courts, pickle-ball courts, and swimming pools. They host a variety of events, speakers, classes etc. There is salon and barber on site- prices are reasonable. There's a smaller cafe dining area for snacks, coffee, drinks, burritos, sandwiches, etc. There's also a proper restaurant. Great service. Highly recommend.

They raise your rates first year you are locked in so you have no way to get out. They tell you it's in your contract that they can raise rates whenever they please and by how much they want! What a scam and so unethical!
They always have the heater on blast at the cardio room and do nothing about it.
Weight room is always packed especially because they do these large group classes and they take up all the equipment.

My experience with the massage at the Clarmont Club was outstanding. The price was reasonable and Claudia, the employee, provided a fantastic massage. I felt revitalized afterwards. This is a highly recommended location. It is meticulously clean and the employees are extremely polite. I had a wonderful experience and am loving my membership.

What a hidden gem! We joined the club over a year ago when our kids made the TCC swim team. Having a family membership allows us to access the facility 7 days a week which is a huge benefit as the kids can swim outside of practice. The pool is gorgeous and towel service is a huge plus for a family whose kids swim almost everyday.
TCC has childcare, a salon, food options (along with a bar), pickleball and tennis courts along with a gym and sauna. There may be areas that are dated but since we’ve been members we have seen management actively updating the club. We can’t wait to see how the facility and team continue to grow.

I recently attended the swim meet at The Claremont Club, and it was an incredible event from start to finish. The facilities are top-notch, and the pool area was pristine—perfect for both competition and spectator enjoyment. The staff and volunteers were extremely organized, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. The atmosphere was exciting yet welcoming, with athletes of all ages giving it their all. It’s clear that The Claremont Club goes above and beyond to create a professional yet fun environment for everyone involved. I can't wait for the next swim meet and highly recommend this venue for both casual swimmers and competitive events!

They need significant improvement and commitment to a higher quality standard. I've been a member before and after new management and you can tell it's bottom line driven w new management. 1. Bathrooms are in horrible conditions - especially the only kid friendly bathroom near heated pool. The showers are rusty, old, and in need of repairs. The high schools nearby have better showers. Took them months to fix broken spa 2. The shampoos, body wash etc - not sure what brand they use but it's just low quality. I think they even started watering down the body wash now as it used to be a thick gel and now it's some watery mess. 3. Towels - I've never seen towels of this low quality. Some are so worn it feels like sandpaper - if you can get one at all. Half the times they are out. I get they are the only club in the area - tennis and swim focused but for $350 month family their standards needs to be higher. If an equinox would open nearby, I would switch in a heartbeat.

Have never been more embarrassed in my life. My family an I have been going here for years. Yesterday I went in no problem and I noticed this lady was looking at me by the weight room. As I was in the process of working out she calls me out and then tells me my membership has expired as of 4/11 which I don’t understand why they didn’t tell me that in the front when I us scanned my card. she tells me there’s nothing I can do right now that I have to call tomorrow. Ronnie which is the MOD at the time that is doing all this tells me I can’t stay even tho there’s only 20 mins left. She then stays around me as I go look for my sister to tell her we have to”leave”. We own a corporate ourselves and we have never kicked anyone out like that. We even tried paying to renew it but yet we were just told to leave. Very unprofessional and embarrassing.

Completely incompetent staff. Especially the staff in charge of phone calls. Hypocrite people. When you call them to get info, they say one thing on the phone. But, when you come to the place they do completely the opposite. Do not waste your time guys. They give you a tour for an hour to let you use their gym and swimming pool for 1 day, but then they end up offering you the whole membership. If you don’t buy it, they will not let you use their gym and swimming pool. Dillon and Ronnie are not even aware of their duties and facility.

Reading some of the negative reviews , I wanted to write a review about our experience.
Is the Club more expensive ? Yes, but the quality of services, variety of classes and programs make it so worthwhile.
Our family have been members at the Claremont Club since 1987. Our sons were 1 and 2 years old at the time . We were looking for quality child care so we could enjoy the club and know our kids were safe and having fun. They loved to go to play with friends they met over the years, they took swim classes and camps in in the summer .
My husband plays Squash and now he and our son have become regular pickleball players finding it to be a friendly and welcoming group.
I have been a regular during all this time enjoying indoor cycling, weights, yoga , and group Pilates. I find the instructors to be very knowledgeable, motivating and encouraging for every level of member.
The Claremont Club has always had high standards for cleanliness especially in the showers sauna, pool, and hot tubs which is important to me.
We were VERY happy to see the Club reopen after the Covid shutdown . The new owners have continued to provide all the previous classes and excellent services . They send out a weekly newsletter to keep members up to date with new fun activities for kids and adults alike. The members well being is their priority
Over the years, the Claremont Club has become an extension of our home. We have developed friendships here and by staying active , have significantly improved our quality of life over the years. This is a wonderful club and I highly recommend it .

1600 for the year 160/month but a year contract
Oh and 500$ initiation fee
So that’s 2100$ a year
And no personal training isn’t included
What a rip off. I’d rather go anywhere else and pay only 300 a year for a gym membership
Maybe publish your rates online rather than mislead them into thinking it’s an affordable deal. It’s not. No gym is worth 2k a year
Also the lady who took my call was EXTREMELY RUDE when I told her these prices are ridiculous

We were members of the club before and after Covid. After Covid, hourly tennis lessons skyrocketed to $100/hour for members- they don’t publish rates on their website. I spent 2+ years with a pro there who insisted I was too frail and too old to play at a higher level than 3.0 and refused to teach me modern tennis techniques for fear of “injury”- ie. did not know how to teach modern technique. The pros are listed as USptr or pta certified or whatever but when you go on those respective websites the pros aren’t listed- false advertising!! It was difficult to secure a tennis court to play on despite having 29 COURTS!! There would be tournaments (understandable), then ladders where courts would be reserved but empty because there weren’t enough players signed up- we still couldn’t use them as paying TCC members. And the ball machine is extra for members and there are black out hours every day where you cannot reserve them if you wanted. Do not be fooled by the empty courts when you drive by. We finally gave up on the $200+/month family membership (don’t get me started on the family pool that is often closed for classes) and are happily playing in public courts nearby for free.

For my last visit to Ambiance salon, after their opening post-Covid closure, I noticed a decadence in their service. The receptionist I made the appointment with, an older woman, tried pushing for services I was not requesting. She booked me with a 24-years-old stylist who was terrible: over bleached, black patches of hair. My worse experience in all the years of getting highlights. She washed my hair with purple shampoo and chemicals that burned my scalp. She never acknowledged her mistakes.

I only know this club not thru membership but thru CBS news yesterday. The true integrity of a company or person is revealed not when things are good, but when things are uncertain and difficult. Mr. Alpert's actions during this unprecedented and challenging times are not only commendable on the human side of things but also on the business side of it. Companies who consider people first before profits will come out better from this.
I hope we'll see more Mr. Alpert's out there. And support such companies when this COVID-19 crisis is over.

My 1 star is mainly for the complete fail I witnessed in the infant daycare. Daycare is an additional 70$ a month (which is 4x the amount of your local gym), but I was more than willing to pay the extra cash if the service was worth it. During my first week as a member I noticed a slew of disasters waiting to happen.
1. I witnessed a caregiver prop a bottle in an infant's mouth while the baby was in a swing, and walk off to care for another infant. I followed up with the Childcare Director who said this practice was allowed!! For the "Childcare Director, she had an unusual lack of education regarding the risk asphyxiation/suffocation bottle propping poses. She even asked me If I would give her employees an educational in-service. Last I checked I am not on the payroll and that is what her job as the director is.
2. There were no safety belts on the highchairs. (This is a major lawsuit waiting to happen.)
3. They do not wash the toys daily and are against the use of bleach even after an extremely contagious viral outbreak of Hand Foot Mouth Disease. Also, the changing station cover looked like it hadn't been washed in months.
4. They were out of their 4:1 ratios which was a major selling point during my sign up. At one point I saw 6:1 not including my baby.
What they dont tell you when your signing up is the daycare is unlicensed which explains alot now looking back in retrospect.
During my sign up I made sure to emphasize I would be on a medical leave the following month and was told I could freeze my account with no problem. What she failed to clarify was that the month could not be prorated! So basically I would be billed for the entire month even though I had only used 1 week. I felt this was a very classless move.
The gym is okay for the price. People mind their own business and it is mostly a senior crowd. The cardio room is great, the weight room is mediocre. There are a variety of machines but both rooms are very dark- almost depressing. Also beware, they charge an annual fee for "repairs" to the gym. They never know how much the fee is, and the women who signed me up if course didn't mention that- but you trust you will get a bill for that.
Parking is a nightmare
All in all if I could go back in time I would've never wasted a dime at this place!

Probably great and worth the considerable membership fee when you use their tennis program or have children you can drop off while you exercise. I had mainly joined for the beautiful Olympic size pool but unfortunately this is used for swim meets a lot - especially at weekends when people with a full time job during the week have time to swim. They don't tell you in advance about those events either so it is somewhat of a disappointment to turn up and it is not possible to use the pool yet again. Also liked their yoga for a while but their yoga room is way too small and get's super-crowded which does not facilitate a relaxing yoga practice. Found management to be very unresponsive and defensive. Do not recommend.

I've been a member of the Claremont club for about six years now. It is the absolute best sports and fitness facility in the Inland Empire. There are plenty of group exercise classes with a very good spinning class program and schedule. The locker rooms and amenities are far superior to any of the other gyms in the area and the staff is always friendly. The Olympic sized swimming is spectacular is worth the price of membership alone as I swim there regularly. I highly recommend this fitness facility.

This club is very overrated. It is expensive and does not give value for the dollar. The management is very elitist and not sensitive to the concerns of the membership. Most health clubs have better facilities at better prices with more accommodating staff members. The only reason to belong to this club would be for the tennis programs. Only then is the membership price worth it.
