UPDATE to their response. I paid $336/month for a “premium” membership at The Club at Los Gatos. After repeated surveillance and harassment from a staff member who followed me, gossiped about my dating life, and policed who I worked out with, I filed a formal harassment complaint.

Shortly after, my access was revoked without warning. When I arrived, I was told I could no longer enter. No documentation. No explanation. Just silence. They charged me for the month anyway- until I reached out demanding a refund.

Their response? They claimed I was “receiving free training” and made “false accusations.” That’s not only a lie but it directly contradicts their own emails.

See attached screenshots:

June 30 email: “If you are working with a professional, you are receiving uncompensated services.”
Follow-up email: “Your complimentary workout sessions were not limited to one incident.”

Yet publicly, they now claim:

“There’s no communication where she was accused of receiving free training.”

That’s direct accusation, twice. So which is it? If you’re going to lie publicly, at least make sure it doesn’t contradict your own written words.

They also called my harassment complaint “very disruptive” and blamed that complaint as the reason for my termination. That is retaliation, plain and simple. And it’s illegal.

Full review on Yelp.

I paid $336/month for a “premium” membership at The Club at Los Gatos since last year. After experiencing repeated surveillance and harassment from their brand-new General Manager (who decided stalking me while I workout and gossiping about my personal life was part of his job), I filed a harassment complaint.

Days later? They revoked my membership. Still charged me for the month. When I went in person to ask why, staff refused to even show me any paperwork. They did not offer a refund until I reached out to demand it, otherwise they would have kept my full payment.

For a club that wants to look luxury, they sure move like a shady operation when you dare stand up for yourself. It’s a textbook retaliation move and I’m pursuing this through California Civil Rights and consumer protection channels. No woman, no person deserves to be policed, stalked, and then locked out for using their voice.

After I spoke up, they even tried to twist the situation by claiming I was receiving free training, which is completely false. I never solicited or asked for training at this club, and I have my own trainer elsewhere. It was just another attempt to cover up retaliation.

If you want to pay $336 a month to be policed, stalked, and then banned for speaking up, this is the place. Otherwise protect your peace and wallet and run far, far away.

Usually I don’t leave negative reviews, but I believe the public deserves to know how this business treats members and especially women who stand up for themselves.

The club is ok, but the fact that it closes at 9pm and at 8pm sharp on weekends is not cool and it should be called a club for that reason!

When we first joined The Club Los Gatos, we loved it. The facility felt really nice and intimate, and everything they offered seemed worth it. But as the club got busier and added more members — especially after they raised their prices — the experience started to go downhill. We honestly expected better improvements with the price increase, but instead, we felt like it wasn’t really worth it anymore.

If you’re mainly joining for the classes, it’s still a pretty good spot, just know that the classes can get very crowded. If you care more about the gym floor and machines, you might be disappointed — there isn’t much variety compared to other gyms in the area.

One last thing — cancelling our membership was a hassle. Everything had to go through email support, and even the Membership specialist who signed us up couldn’t help us cancel or even give us information about our questions and kept redirecting us to email support which takes a very long time to get back. Then, when we emailed support, they completely ignored parts of our message, which was frustrating. I had some held backs from leaving TCLG mostly because they were the closest gym with child care. But after the poor communication we decided to cancel instead of freezing our account.

We had some good times there, but overall, we left like the facility does fully focus on their members the best way to word how we felt was that we felt like dollar signs in their eyes. No genuine acts they gave made us feel like it was worth the amount we were paying

I had a very disappointing experience with The Club at Los Gatos. I received an email from the general manager accusing me of breaching their guest policy by bringing my wife without purchasing a guest pass. The problem? I'm not married to a woman.

I immediately responded to clear up the misunderstanding, but despite multiple follow-ups, I never received a reply. It's incredibly frustrating to be wrongly accused and then completely ignored when trying to resolve the issue. I expected better from a club that prides itself on community and service.

If you're considering joining, I'd recommend looking elsewhere unless you're okay with being wrongly accused and left without any support.

The Club at Los Gatos (TCLG) breached our contract by failing to provide adequate facilities and classes. The exercise classes were frequently all booked, and several times when I came in for registered classes, they were far above capacity. These overfilled classes, often in the Heated Studio, were a fire hazard and unhygienic, with yoga mats bumper to bumper. Additionally, we often ran out of resistance bands and blocks due to overfilled classes.
The exercise floor was commonly so packed that there were no available machines or treadmills. The treadmills were reserved every day at peak times for an exercise class, and the facility had inadequate air conditioning. I was not informed that many classes required bringing my own yoga mats, towels, and boxing gloves, which was inconvenient on busy days. The TCLG parking lot was always full. There were far more Pilates classes available than the free classes included with my $325 membership fee, and the Pilates classes were priced separately.
I have been a member at many fitness clubs, including Equinox, the Sportscenter at Chelsea Piers in New York City, and Crunch Fitness, and I have never experienced these issues at any other gym. TCLG is also more expensive than all those gyms.
Despite complaining several times about the overfilled classes, no one offered to help. Upon leaving early after finding my classes overfilled, the front desk staff made excuses like, "Oh yeah, she let a lot of people in off the waitlist this morning." But there was no apology or offer to make it up to me. I complained to Liz several times via text, and she simply said that she didn't see any full classes on her end, suggesting it was an issue with my app. Regardless of whether it was an app issue or overbooked classes, I did not receive the services or access I paid for. The Club at Los Gatos has done nothing to address my complaints, only denying and making excuses.
Fitness Floor Critique:
The facilities are very small with limited cardiovascular machines and fewer workout machines than any gym I have ever been a member of.
There is only one machine for each muscle group, as opposed to 2, 3, or even 4 at most other gyms.
The single-joint exercise machines are poorly designed, overly large, and unintuitive. They take up much more space than weight lifting equipment at most other gyms, offering only about 60% of the equipment that other gyms provide in the same space.
There is no dedicated stretching area, only functional fitness areas that are used for classes during peak times and are unavailable to clients.
Of the 25 cardio machines on the fitness floor, only 10 are electric treadmills, which are reserved during peak times for WOD classes. The additional 7 curved manual treadmills feel unsafe to run on because the speed increases as you run.
There are only a handful of stairmasters, which are always full during peak times.
The functional training room is mostly empty except during fitness classes. The club could invest in providing guidance to members on how to workout in that area to relieve congestion on the main fitness floor. There are notes on the dry erase board from previous fitness classes but no guidance on how a member can independently do the workout. There are no trainers or staff members in the functional training room to explain how to use the equipment.

In my opinion, there is so much wasted space at TCLG. It is touted as a sprawling 24,000 square foot facility, but in the two months I was there, the only three spaces I used for my workouts were the main fitness floor, the heated fitness studio, and the main fitness studio. At the prices the club charges, they should be investing in expanding the overflowing spaces and classes, and removing or reducing some of the low-demand equipment and training areas.

Joining The Club at Los Gatos has been great for my fitness goals. I love the hot yoga with heated floors! Their facility has a variety of classes and is a great value for the level of instructors. My fiancé and I first spoke to Coral and she generously helped us learn about the programming here. Their pilates classes will not fill up for members most times. I highly recommend Chelsea and Stacey for the pilates reformer classes. It has been nice to belong to a place so friendly after just moving to NorCal.

I contacted the front desk in Dec 29 to inquire about the facility, and unfortunately, my interaction with the representative, Reen (or a similarly named staff member), was disappointing. Despite my polite tone and courteous demeanor, she came across as impolite and unprofessional.

After I finished asking my questions, I respectfully brought to her attention a misleading piece of information on the facility's Google Review page. Instead of acknowledging my concern or apologizing for the mistake, she abruptly ended the call without even a courteous "goodbye" or "thank you." Her unprofessional behavior left a negative impression, and doesn’t give me the desire to register to their club.

Am I the only person who finds it ABSURD that they allow people to pay $25 a month to reserve lockers in the locker room? Half the lockers are now reserved for private use, leaving only the bottom row available. Inconsiderate to elderly members, people with mobility issues, and just general members who do not want to bend down to get their things. Sorry, but the locker room is not meant to be a storage container for people who have an extra $25 to spend on a locker. Additionally, any available locker is usually out of battery, meaning it doesn’t even lock. Just kind of weird and tone deaf to charge members egregious costs only for them to not even have anywhere to put their things while working out.

Little bit about me. I am a calisthenics & jump rope athlete. I had been always working out in the public parks & beaches across the globe. Among the States, South America & Europe . With the bad weather hit California this year, I found that I its time to look for a Gym. I found on my IG an amazing drone view of a gym next to me. Showing a spot dedicated for bodyweight and bars Ground Trainings - that's what I need.
I singed up for a 1 week trial then a month. From day 1 I shared with the sales and the management there the type of workout I will be doing - intense jump rope and explosive body weight workout.

OK I have to be honest here, being in business I know people sometimes get sensitive and using the race or gender card to accuse each other.
Been yelled at and called " LEAVE THE GYM AND GO WORKOUT SOMEWHERE ELSE" because i was working out in a spot provided to me by one of the personal trainers.

I would not label them all as racists because this is a big word. But I would definitely say I got racially profiled there & I have to report this business to BBB to protect others.

Surprisingly, when I told my story to my network, 2 who are ex members of The Club Los Gatos, don't even jump rope - told me they cancelled their membership for similar reasons. They told me this place is popular with nickname "The Club Los Blancos"
My recommendation to the gym:
- The sales representative explained to me at the time i sign up, this gym is more exclusive and they are like a family. My suggestion tho if you want to keep it exclusive to certain people there are smarter ways to do so
* New members have to get invitation from existed members before signing up
* or keep it only for Los Gatos residences
That way you ensure target the crowd you are looking for. Some country clubs do that. Its much smarter and safer than open it to everyone then target the members you don't want by keep starring at them like creeps while they're working out
- I suggest the management do some Unconscious Bias Training to the staff
- The parking lot is small, sometimes its difficult to park
- The GM there is very dumb. Beside her low EQ and me being disappointed of her handling my situation, I find myself had to explain to her very basic concepts in accounting and contract management that I wont even explain to undergrad students. Not even sure how she got her job. My best guess either because she's cute or a friend of someone in the management
My recommendation to anyone who is considering this place:
- Even though I am a disappointed customer, but I have to say I'd been to hot yoga studios across the globe, they have one of the best.
* Brandie and Tori are better than any instructor in Bay Club, Hot8 and Core Yoga studios
* Angela: She is simply the best yoga instructor I'd ever seen. Period.
- If you want to join group classes, Hot Yoga and you are white, this is the place for you
- If you are into gymnastic, calisthenics and minority, I would not recommend you to go there

For me personally I would never go there again.

I have never liked working out and I've always hated gyms and group classes. My friend got me to take a tour of the Club against my will. Tori gave me a tour of the place and I immediately fell in love with everything about it. The people are very friendly and the whole energy of the place is nurturing, inclusive, and healing. I joined on April 21, 2023 and I can honestly say that the Club has changed my life and healed my soul. The facilities are immaculate! Their infrared heated studio is a dream come true. I take the Sweat, Toned, and Hot26 yoga classes every day and can't get enough. Every instructor is incredible! And, I've been to many yoga studios in the past, including multiple heated studios. They give you a cold eucalyptus towel at the end of each class! Heaven! I hang by the pool on the weekends and they have nice towels. I swear their showers are nicer than my shower at home! The owners and staff are so welcoming and they actually encourage you to spend lots of time here. I literally am at the Club more than I'm at home and it's replaced bad habits like eating out, online shopping, binge watching TV, and negative thinking. I've also got a great trainer, Sam Saidian, who I can't say enough good things about. And, I'm working with Tobe Hanson, their in house sports injury specialist, who literally works with the 49ers and the Sharks. Not only has he healed an injury I've had for 20 years, but he has also helped to heal lifelong emotional trauma. If you have any fear of trying out the Club, don't let it stop you because this will be the best investment you'll ever make in your own physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health. The price point is lower than places that offer way less. For the cost of one hotel night stay or a dinner out, you can have access to this beautiful space and tons of classes. I take two or even three classes a day sometimes. You can always try a day or multi day pass, but I would recommend just diving in with the full membership. I used to hate working out and now I love it! The positive vibe here is palpable! I have saved thousands of dollars by joining the Club and being part of their community and lifestyle. I don't have kids, but this place is family friendly and the kid presence is lovely and not disruptive. The owners, Meaghan and Alex, are the kindest, most generous people to have created this incredible place! I am grateful to them as the Club has healed my soul in just a couple months. Who knows what the future holds for me now? You deserve this too! Make this your year of self care and your best year yet! Join the Club! You'll never look back. 😀

I’m a new member of the club. My experience has been positive beginning with the enrollment process to signing up for classes.
The club and the pilates studio are simply beautiful. They have an array of pilates classes for a beginner, intermediate, and advanced. All the classes are on the reformer.
My posture and strength have significantly improved since I started two months ago. The prices are reasonable and affordable. The staff are so friendly and personable.
I wouldn’t consider this a typical gym but instead a wellness club. They have so many class offerings including, heated yoga, pilates, and strength training (in a room that looks outside!). Some very special offerings are the pool, sauna, steam room, infrared light, and the cold plunge. This club is fantastic. My health has improved in such a short period of time. I love checking in so I can see the friendly staff. Many go to Los Gatos high and they make me giggle every time I check in. If I had to describe the club in one word, it would be “delightful”.

Price is ABSURD. Weight machines low end, low quality, which CAN be OK for men, but AWFUL for slight women. They removed the Hot Tub in the Women's Locker room. Obviously they are MEN CENTRIC. AND GREEDY without providing actual value. At least for women (who "don't matter".) More for looks & social marketing. I'm certain there's money laundering & illegal activity behind the scene. But, you know, toxic masculinity, power, money. Put pig's lipstick on, & it sells. Especially as a front.

This review is for Liliya Goldie at TCLG. I haven’t taken a yoga class for 6 months and I can’t tell you how inflexible I am right now. I walked into the class with stress, two pinched nerves, and a pulled muscle. I walked out of her Yin class feeling like I was walking on a cloud! I couldn’t believe it. I felt very welcomed and embraced by her from the beginning. The other students were friendly too which I appreciated and it wasn’t packed to the gills so we each enjoyed our own space with the peaceful playlist in the background as Liliya walked around assisting us and speaking with guided meditations. I loved the visuals! Felt very encouraging and uplifting. I Can’t WAIT to go back and try another one of her classes. Thank you!

This is a local club (meaning not a chain) with a bounty of great classes, skilled and friendly instructors and staff. Remodeling is in their future however not a deterrant from my view. They constantly strive to offer new classes (water aerobics, boxing, spinning, yoga, circuit, dance, etc) which enables you to change up your routine if you want. Not swarming with people so you can generally get what equipment you want to use. Bonus: not a competitive club so come as you are :)

This place is pretty bad. We where members until abruptly we where told our last day is Aug 31st unless we can prove our contract is longer.
Most people that signup here are only doing it for convenience and that will change as more health clubs come to Los Gatos.

They magically lost all records for our membership and ended it in August 2015. Even though the new owners tool over early August and had opportunity to meet all the members, they waited until Aug 31st, and magically lost all there computers and records. Very convenient way to get rid of a lot of members at no charge (unless you can go prove you have a written contract).

I can say that the club is disgusting regardless. The showers are not sanitary and the pool was never kept up to date. Our last day to visit the place was in Aug 2015 but until then the place was bad.

Highly recommend finding another place for a gym. The gym is mostly patched up to continue operations.

For the size of the gym and the pool, and the behind times shape of the interior, its amazing that customers are not treated better.

So I told them I'm going to JCC, which has a clean world-class facility for less cost. They said that's fine...

This place is silly, with an attitude undeserving of a place with crap facilities

Everything was great....until I had to end my membership.

After being a member for about 8 months, I wanted to end my membership as I got a new job with a gym onsite. I went in and talked to the guys at the front desk and asked about cancellation - where I was told it usually took about 30 days to process. I went home thinking it wasn't really an issue since when I signed up I paid for my first and last months membership fees. When I called the next day on the phone to confirm I wasn't going to be charged anymore, I was that I was incorrect. I was going to be charged in about 15 days and since it took 30 days to process my termination, I was going to be charged even though I was not even using the gym and had paid for my last month.....I couldn't believe it.

I called multiple times next week to try and talk to Jon and see why on Earth I was going to get charged again. Every time I called Jon was busy and I was told he would call me back later that day, which never happened. I eventually went in to the gym and sat and waited for Jon to be available. Once I actually got to talk to him I thought everything was going to be fine...He said that he was really sorry for not getting back to me and that he was going to contact the billing folks the gym used to make a note to not charge me again. Jon also gave me his business card and told him to contact him if I had any other questions / concerns.

Then several days later, there is the charge on my card, despite what Jon said. So again, I stupidly thought it was some mistake and e-mailed Jon. This is how that e-mail thread went:

Me - 8/29 - ask about the charge and if there's something else I need to do

Jon - 8/30 - says he will take care of it today and will e-mail me to confirm

Me - 8/30 - never heard from him all day and asked for an update

Me 9/3 - asked for an update again

Me 9/6 - asked for an update again

Me 9/11 - said I feel like I am getting shafted and was going to try and call my bank (too late on the charge though I found out)

Jon - 9/12 - says he was out of town and will take care of today

Me - 9/12 - say thanks and ask for a confirmation

Me - 9/21 - say never got an update & charge is still there/never got a refund & and tell him I am going to be leaving reviews about my experience

Jon - 9/24 - says he is refunding the charge and asks me to call him (yeah right)

Me - 9.30 - just let him know it's been 6 weeks since I came in and talked to him

And now on 10/5 I am writing this review. Sad stuff. I am sure to a lot of people paying one extra month isn't a big deal, but it is to me. I Even worse that I was told it was going to get taken care of only to be toyed with for 6 weeks.
