Wini is simply the best! I have been taking her classes for the past year and have gotten stronger, my range of motion has increased, and my lower back and hip pain has greatly decreased!
She brings something special to each and every one of her classes.
She is very thorough, knowledgeable and consistent as a teacher and guide.
Her enthusiasm for helping and educating her students, plus the pure joy and love she has for teaching, is a beautiful combination of mentor and fellow yoga partner.
Her classes are organized around a central body part and movement for each month, so you have time to witness yourself getting stronger and more confident with each class.
Personally, what I have found to be one of the most appealing parts of the class is that it is broken down into very specific exercises, similar to physical therapy, so it feels very manageable as a starting point for recovery post-surgery or simply to slowly build an attunement of the mind and body.
Absolutely beyond grateful to have found this class for my healing journey!

I highly recommend Wini’s Elevate Practice class! I’ve been going for over 10 years and she definitely has a loyal following. I always feel amazing afterward and well into the next week. It’s a full-body workout that hits every muscle which is exactly what I need after sitting at a desk for 40 hours a week. The class is welcoming and great for all levels.

My longtime Iyengar Yoga study and practice has recently been replaced with Wini's extraordinary Elevate Practice. Her approach, method and skills are keeping me on the trails, in my kayak, up and down the stairs and generally in better condition for my 80 years than I thought possible. DO IT!

I can't recommend Wini's classes highly enough, every time I leave one of her classes I feel better. All the movements in class has been thoughtfully planned and considered with all of the students in mind. She explains and demonstrates everything and always offers modifications. I have been taking yoga classes for over 30 years and I learn something new every class, a new stretch, new information about strengthening important muscles, and I’m able to access something I hadn’t thought possible in a stretch taught a different way.

Wini’s is a gem! A lifelong exerciser, I found Wini’s online practice after multiple failed attempts to find a wise yoga instructor with true physiology knowledge. She knows what she is doing and how to train you to get results without injury. I’m continually amazed by how my body feels longer, stronger, taller and more full of space after my practices with her, even after four years, so it doesn’t seem to matter at what level you are to reap the benefits of her classes. Wini’s visuals and commentary make it easy to see how to do a pose. The guidance in her calm voice constantly reminds of how to check yourself for where your body parts and breathing should be to keep your practice safe and effective. She seamlessly blends in instructions on how to make a pose more challenging or more accommodating depending on what you feel in the moment. With her breadth of experience and education, she knows how to guide if a particular body part is troubling you and how to adjust accordingly. Her positive spirit channels nothing intimidating and all affirming.
I love being able to search her online library classes by body part, length of class or practice goal to find a class to work with wherever my body is that day.
Oh, and dare I forget that my young adult old former college athlete sons now join me in online classes when they are with me - they love Wini too, and they’ve seen quite a few trainers in their day!

Wini is amazing! I have been taking classes with her in person and online for many years now, and I still feel like I get to learn something new every time. I often find myself using something I have learned in her classes throughout my day. I think this is because she is very good at connecting what we do in class to how it should feel in the moment, as well as the benefits it will have in the long run. She does so very clearly and with great expertise and precision, and I am still amazed at how spot on she is every time. I would really recommend for everyone to get to have that experience. Her classes are great for all, may you be a beginner or advanced yogi. I love that I have been learning new ways to feel better and stronger every day and look forward to continue doing so for many more years to come. I also want to add that English is not my first language, and I have found this to be tricky at times when taking yoga classes, but never in her class!

I thought in order to get strong I had to join a loud gym class, torture myself and get yelled out to go faster. And I never considered myself a yoga type of person. And then I discovered Wini. She meets you where you are, calmly gives instruction with humor, teaches techniques that really work and make you feel present in your body. I have been going to her Sunday classes for almost a year and feel stronger than I ever have. Hiking, cycling, sitting at my desk no longer leave me feeling with an achy back. What keeps me coming back ,though, is her philosophy that every little bit counts when you are consistent. So I am not doing 3 sets of crunches stressed out and hating it. I am doing slow, thoughtful work getting my core (and other muscles!) strong to do the things I enjoy without pain.

This is the first review I have ever posted, but I have been inspired to share how incredible Wini and her Elevate Practice are. Wini has helped my body feel better and get stronger. As a former division one athlete,
no one knows the body better than her. Her sequencing of movements allows every body to maximize their time on the mat. Wini cares about you and will help you achieve your goals.

Gamechanger for every body at every stage. There are few people as incredible and wise as Wini. I have been practicing with her for over a decade and she has guided me through 2 pregnancies, an insane global travel schedule and injuries. No matter what your skill level Wini finds a way to bring you into your best self. So appreciate the portability of her lessons and take her guidance with me everywhere, capitalising on found Wini moments whenever and wherever I can. She constantly inspires, encourages and challenges all of us. She sees each of our potential and expertly helps us navigate pur perceived limitations so we can become strongerand more flexible. She always gives me golden advice, and is my mentor—Wini! My body that I live in is my house and it needs work and maintenance. This has been imprinted in my heart since I met Wini 10+ years ago. I’ve been practicing since. Wini always makes space for everyone with the warmest welcome, acknowledging all of us by name. So personal. I always walk out from her studio two inches taller and longer after each practice. Otherwise, I would be spending time in physical therapy or other pain management. We all go through varied stages and experiences as we go through becoming better versions of ourselves. I know I received grace on the first day I laid down my yoga mat for the yoga class. During snd after the class I knew this was something i will continue to do for as long as possible. Wini’s class is known as a yoga class. Wini refers to her class as the “Elevate Practice”. How appropriate. I have been in Wini’s classes for over 10 years, without need to try others. I have attended many other classes and under different teachers prior. The Elevate Practice is mind and body, without having to convince anyone’s self. Like a great teacher with a workable lesson plan to make the student successful, the hour of practice flows like a beautiful melody, one note naturally following another. Wini has extensive knowledge of how the body works, the associated risks or benefits when a body part is used or moved. It is a thinking practice, it enables me to understand why I do what I do during class. The best part is I carry it with me even outside of class, like proper posture that keeps me from losing my balance and keeping my heart beating in rhythm outside of class There has never been any pressure to do anything except my own desire to learn the moves properly for my own benefit. Wini’s teaching is in my head. The practice has become one with my daily moves. Wini teaches a kind of yoga that is both old and modern because it is based on the science of our human bodies. As scientific as it is, it is full of caring and nurturing. I owe my good health to Wini and the teaching that she has honed through decades of constant study and consistent teaching. Wini’s Elevate Practice is not a stage for me. It is a life platform that keeps me afloat and going. Wini is just the GOAT. I was always intimidated by yoga classes before, but this class is SO accessible, SO useful, and very much accepting of all levels, body types, ages, and personality types. It's mixes traditional yoga with isometric exercises, stretching, and strength training. Wini's energy is such a pleasure to be around. She clearly is passionate about helping people feel good in their bodies, and I find myself snort-laughing at least once in any class of hers I attend. The classes and space are a nice size--it feels like a community, but not so crowded that it distracts you from what you're doing.
While I started taking her classes while in my 30's, it's become even more important to me as I'm hitting my late 40's. At some point, I realized that it wasn't so much that my body served me as it was me serving my body, so it could keep me active, engaged, and feeling good physically, mentally, and emotionally. Wini's classes have been instrumental in making sure this continues to happen. I highly recommend you check it out.

From the moment that I met Wini when she subbed for a teacher on one of the yoga classes that I attended, I was hooked. I was impressed that she took the time to remember my name on our next class. She adapts her class based on the skill level of the attendees. She makes you feel welcome and doesn't force you to do a pose that your body is not used to. I subscribe to her channel and it makes a lot of difference when I do my yoga in the morning. Lucky to have known her for almost 10 years now!

I am a seasoned yoga practicioner and as I am ageing I knew that I needed something different. Wini is very very passionate and cares about all of her students. I attended her classes pre pandemic and online as well. She teaches to all levels and provides very specific instructions and feedback. Taking a class from Wini at Elevate Practice is a ticket to unlock your body and your mind. She gives us intelligent poses that can unstick a spot that you don't even know is stuck.
She accomplishes reaching every student in the class by showing us good visual cues, she even changes the angle. She explains the poses in a very clear, concise way. She even posts a class outline on the wall for those of us who need to keep track.
I am 71 years young and have gone through some malfunctioning body parts. I know I can add Wini to my list of exercise rehab experts to feel great. Did I mention she seems to know what you need before you tell her.

Wini's Elevate Practice is professionally designed to stimulate and maintain your physical health. Unlike traditional yoga, which is focused on perfecting poses, Wini's program helps anyone irregardless of physical abilities to safely achieve the necessary stretching and strengthing without risk of injury.

I am so grateful that I found Wini's wonderful practice 15 years ago. Her classes have helped me age stronger and become more flexible. Wini's expert teaching has done more for my mind and body than any other program I have tried in my 71 years. I drive from San Francisco to attend every one of her classes that I can. I actually plan my schedule around her schedule. I was delighted when Wini began her online teaching. Now I can have her guidance and wisdom at home as well as take it with me when I travel. But nothing beats her in person teaching. Her knowledge of the human body and each one of her students is incredible. Wini was one of my very first yoga teachers and although I have access to free yoga classes elsewhere, I continue to attend Wini's classes whenever I can. She is such an excellent teacher and different, in a good way, from the other excellent teachers I practice with. Wini can "teach" to a roomful of students ranging from experienced yoga teachers to first-time practitioners, offering something to each one. She doesn't just "lead" the class, she actually helps you learn about the "body you have lived in all your life" (a quote from Wini). Her classes are taught with intelligence, humor and compassion. I have taken classes from Wini for about 15 years and I have to say that she is by far, the most knowledgeable, prepared and skilled yoga teacher I have ever worked with. He classes are fantastic! She takes you on a journey of discovery and healing that is amazing. It is like she can read your body and know what you need help with. It doesn't matter if you are an experienced yogi, or a newcomer, Wini will welcome you and make you feel right at home.
In addition to regular yoga classes, Wini's workshops and online sessions are incredible and you get so much out of them. Whether it is core strength, hip release, flexibility and relaxation, you will never be bored and you will always be learning about how you can make your body feel better.

The name says it all - when you work with Wini, you WILL Elevate your fitness practice!
My body always feels so happy after class!! A Pilates instructor friend of mine that is very intentional about the teachers she works with invited me to Wini's class in Pacifica many years ago. I loved it and have continued to attend to this day. The classes are consistently great. My husband has also attended and really enjoys Wini's classes. Wini is always present and focused. She is professional, incredibly knowledgeable in her field and skilled at educating the class on how to move through each exercise. She gives 100% to every class she teaches. The classes have students at many fitness levels including other Pilates and Yoga instructors, people with desk jobs, standing jobs, athletes, moms, dads, retirees, sometimes teenagers, all kinds of people. She offers alternatives and modifications to assist with the exercises. It's incredible how she's able to cater to so many levels and still make it feel like it's designed just for me. I always feel welcome in her classes.
I'm not very familiar with the different types of yoga practices so I can't say what type of yoga this is. For me, Wini's classes are about teaching me how to move my body thoughtfully and intelligently and teaching me how to stay on top of my fitness so I can continue doing all the things in life I enjoy doing. I always feel stronger and more open after participating in her classes.

Wini is the best, smartest, and most down to earth yoga teacher, maybe on the planet.
Her classes are informative, well paced, challenging and adapted to her students' unique needs...and FUN!
As a person Wini is funny and approachable, her knowledge is born from years on the planet and years teaching.
As a movement professional myself, I appreciate her knowledge and the way that her classes are sequenced; as a student I enjoy that she encourages me to learn something new in each class, and that she listens to and tirelessly answers each question at the end of class.
Her classes are not like any other yoga class you have ever had, there is not rigid structure or "classic" poses, instead you will find a practice that is intelligent and makes you feel better in your body.
I give Wini and her Elevate Practice the highest recommendation and suggest that if you are looking to study/practice yoga with someone that knows what she is doing, cares about teaching and wants the best for you please sign up.
