We really enjoy this course. It’s pretty relaxed with a friendly staff. Usually able to get a tee-time on pretty short notice. Very reasonably priced. It’s definitely walkable.

The pace is play here is very slow. In all honesty, I like the layout of the course and it's a nice way to work on your short shots and get better with your irons. But the condition of the greens is horrible. Ball marks everywhere and very bumpy on every single green. They need to roll these greens, fix the ball marks and cut them short. It's not fun to hit the green on the first shot and then 3 putt because of the conditions of the greens. They really need to step it up here with creating better policies around pace of play and taking care of the greens.

This review is only about the restaurant. Really subpar. No pun intended. The worst was a turkey taco that had a couple of slices of deli sliced turkey in a taco shell. Since when is that a turkey taco. The fries were cold and tasteless. If this place is connected to Amalfi - as they say - they need to up their game. Truly mediocre food.

Apparently this course will be charging LSM golf cart owners a $400 annual fee to use their personal carts on the Executive and The Links golf courses. Ridiculous! Why are they penalizing residents. If they must charge, charge the same golf cart rental fee they charge the public. Owners of the course should value the residents living there!

I’ve been playing this course for years and the course itself is in good shape and the new clubhouse/restaurant is really nice. The problem I have is the outrageous price they are now charging to play and ride a cart. I played here yesterday and the greens fees were $25 which isn’t bad but the cart was $24!!! I was a single and most courses will charge you half for the cart, but not here. $24 is ridiculous for a short course like this where the average hole is 115 yards. The Crossings and Encinitas Ranch charge a flat $15 cart fee in comparison and those are both par 71/72 courses.

Overall a great course for those starting or just trying to get some golf in on a time crunch only downsides about the course would be drivers aren’t used frequently and houses can cause a pretty major hazard. Grounds are well kept with the exception of when it rains grounds tend to mud up and you might get a bit dirty. Upsides would be it’s a simple course to work your irons/wedges and hybrids at the right moments service was great price is also very fair for what the course offers.

This is hands down the best executive course in north county! Ive played the other ones in Oceanside and even the welk, reidy creek, and the oaks north. Come by and see these guys the greens are always pure and the bunkers are usually great! The pricing is great 20-30 for a round. I will make a ace here just need to keep practicing!

Course has come a long way since the days it was known as Lake San Marcos South Course. As St. Mark, they added a small practice putting green, trimmed a couple of the tree canopies that were borderline unfair, and have a well-maintained course. You won't find fluffy sand in the bunkers and there are a few muddy spots from over-watering, but these usually don't even come into play. Greens are medium speed with manageable slope and putt pretty true. Expect to play 2 shots to the green on the sole par 4 on the front nine, because a straight line from tee to green goes over OB and trees. On the other hand, all 3 par fours on the back nine are within range for "bombers". The 11th and 16th require a gentle draw to get on or near the green, but the fun 18th is approximately 270 and all downhill, so it is less than driver for most and approachable with a baby cut or straight high trajectory tee shot. If you are like me and often race to finish before dusk, this course is ideal, since there is no fencing and there is no danger of getting your car trapped by a locked gate. Depending on tee box locations, the uphill 7th hole may be the only one among the par 3 holes that requires more than a wedge for the tee shot.

Electric car chargers are either broken or disconnected. You get what you pay for. I suggest people with money stop going there. It is super easy to power on the charger when a customer pays. Seems to be a disconnect between staff and consumers. When you make the reservation,, you still need to call and ask any questions, make no assumptions here.. Don't bring your Tesla thinking you can use the destination charger, as a customer. They have disabled the destination charger, for customers, because local people have been using the charger and leaving cars too long. Think twice before going. You get what you pay for, remember that.

Drove down from Orange County to play a round with friends today. There was no one in front of us and a group of 7 followed by a group of 5 four holes behind us. There were 6 of us and we weren’t holding anyone up, following proper golf etiquette, and keeping really good pace so we decided to play together.

On hole 9 by the clubhouse, the manager comes out on the patio and yells at us to split apart, so we did, into a foursome and a double. A group of six white men drive by and nothing is said to them…

As we continue to play, a man comes by in a golf cart and talks to both of our groups separately, saying they take golf “seriously” around here. He continues to go past us to the next hole and hides behind a tree and watches our group. Keep in mind, there’s a group of 7 and a group of 5 being extremely rowdy and holding people up four holes behind us.

This obviously ruins the atmosphere of our round so I drive up to the clubhouse and the guy and the manager are there talking. Turns out the guy who was stalking us DOESN’T EVEN WORK HERE. His name is Martin and he’s a “local” that terrorizes women of color. Martin claims there was a shortage on carts meanwhile he’s on a cart by himself stalking our group when he didn’t even pay for a round.

It’s a reallyyyyy bad look for how this place is run when you’re letting a local terrorist of a man named Martin discriminate against people of color and letting him run amuck on the course stalking groups. Highly would not recommend this place.

What a great way to start your Saturday! Seltzerland was. An amazing, well organized event. There were several tents set up along the 9 hole golf course so you get to taste and get your exercise in at the same time. What we liked most about this event was the tastings. There were brands of seltzers I didn't even know existed and thus gave us an opportunity to not only taste but to learn more about them. A few favorites were Bomani (the alcohol infused cold brew). I opted to taste it plain which I loved but I heard the vanilla with some creamer was even more tasty. I think the most fun and best design went to Jose Cuervo Playa Mar. So much fun with the swings, felt like you were sitting on the beach somewhere. I am not much of a tequila drinker but the seltzers were light and tasty. They also offered a shot of tequila in a cup with a popsicle which was pretty fun. Spa Girls was tasty as well, more than just a seltzer and pretty high in alcohol content (more like a canned cocktail). We also appreciated the Hormel cup pepperoni pizza slices midway through. It gave us the needed fuel to get through the remaining tastings. There were a few lower calorie options which I tended to skip (I am not a fan of the non sugar sugars). Towards the end of the course was the "top off your seltzer" tent. They had hard seltzer options where you could add various shots of hard alcohol (from rum to Fireball). They also had two beautiful parrots. Overall a great event and so much fun. All the vendors we great, friendly and knowledgeable about their products. Seltzerland will be in different cities, not sure if same vendors or different but if in your area make sure to go check it out. Even cost was very reasonable for all that you get. VIP was around $60 but it came with great perks. Keep and eye out for local deals (San Diego had a deal in the Reader) you can sometimes score a good discount.

This is an interesting and challenging executive course. There is a lot of elevation change, tree trouble on offline shots, nicely kept, sometimes difficult to read greens, which are pretty fast. Tees and fairways are well kept and the par4s offer doglegs and a good challenge. The only thing that doesn't work too well are the sand traps. They are hard and lack the soft, deep sand needed to make an explosion shot and are thereby a bit unfair, especially on green-side shots.

I have been playing st marks exec for the past 2 years or so and I can easily say its one of my favorite courses in Southern California it's difficult enough to give you a nice challenge but easy enough to enjoy the round without too much effort. It's also very well kept and the greens always play nicely. Doesn't necessarily require a complete set of clubs so if you want to show up with a Sunday bag its doable. But it does have some room for the driver on a few holes. Highly recommended 👌

Not too busy on a Saturday. Beautiful course for 25$ and a fun play. A couple par fours make it feel more like a traditional round but the 100 yard par threes make the round go way faster and feel a lot more relaxed. Very nice executive course with a great variety of holes. The course is always lush, and very well maintained. Customer service is excellent. Depending on how big of a hitter you are, you can break out your driver on one to three holes. On the downside, there is no driving range or practice area - you need to scoot on over to their Big Boy course around the corner for that. The other negative is "private property don't you dare try to retrieve your ball if its near our property line" types of signs all over the course. I find that annoying. But all in all, a good choice if you don't want to surrender an entire day and still play some quality golf.

I'm still learning the game. But I absolutely love playing here. It's challenging and fun. I've made my first birdies here and came really close to an ace. The greens change depending on the time of day and if they're in the shade. Making this course a valuable place to improve my game. Very reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Nice mini green to warm up before your tee time. I hold no illusions of being a scratch golfer. But I enjoy this game and this is such a perfect place to get a round in in a few hours. If anyone plays here and is disappointed I would just agree to disagree. We're blessed with many magnificent courses in Southern California. I'd say this little executive course is on the list.

For an executive course, its terrific. The holes are all challenging and awesome for developing short game. Greens are very challenging but not outrageous. Overall its a relaxed atmosphere, people are friendly and its definitely fun to play there.
