I found Fit Clinic based on a random Reddit post and decided to try them out, since I really needed to lose some weight and get in better shape. I was apprehensive at first, because I hadn't been very active in a long time, and I thought dieting and exercise would be really unpleasant. I was pleasantly surprised. I go in three times a week to work out. The trainers are really pleasant, and I feel great. The dietary advice has all been very helpful, and I haven't needed to give up my favorite foods. In fact, I'm enjoying food more now. So I say give it a try.

Yesterday I totally rocked my ride at Cyclebar. Overall, I came in 4th out of a class of over 30 participants. What does that have to do with The Fit Clinic, you may ask? Everything!
The Fit Clinic has changed my life- and no, I’m not being dramatic. I am so much stronger, healthier, have more energy, and am more confident than I was before. I have been training here for a little over a year and a half now and have lost over 20 pounds of fat and have gained 7 pounds of muscle. Mike, the owner, does my nutrition and workout plan. He is incredibly knowledgeable. I have some special dietary needs and he knew all about them and how to navigate them. If you do what he says, you will see results!
For training, I train with Kathy and Kenny. Kathy is an amazing yoga instructor as well as strength trainer. I’m not very flexible and I’ve learned so much through training core and mobility with her. She’s also the cofounder and is responsible for a lot of the ambience and character of the place. She makes it feel like a family! I do strength training with Kenny. He knows his stuff and is great at knowing how hard to push you. He is equal parts challenging and encouraging. He's really wise and helps me to find balance. All the trainers there are part coach and part therapist. They challenge, motivate you, help you with set backs, and encourage you to keep going!
My experience has been with Kathy, Kenny, and Mike, but every trainer there that I have had conversations with (I'm looking at you, Chris and Andy) are amazing! They are all dedicated and it feels like a family.
So back to Cyclebar. During the race portions of the class, I kept going neck and neck with another rider and he would beat me every time. I would come in 3rd or 4th and he would always beat me by one. However, at the end of class, I was overall 4th place on the leaderboard and was surprised to find he was 13th. Why? Because thanks to the Fit Clinic I have strength, endurance, and stamina! Instead of needing a lot of recovery time between races, I just kept going. Once upon a time it was difficult to do a 45 minute class. I couldn't wait until it was over. Now- resistance? Turn it up!, I kept going like it was nothing because I have the strength, stamina, and endurance, all thanks to The Fit Clinic.
If you are on the fence—don’t hesitate. Give it a try! You won’t regret it.

When I inquired I was met with The Fit Clinic which I now understand is Mike’s business. The Fit Clinic caters to more aspects of fitness than I originally planned for. However I was able to talk to Mike and figure out what was appropriate for me and the program has been working great for me.
Although I didn’t utilize the mobility or nutrition coaching, it’s convenient and notable that they were available as options.
My goals have evolved since beginning here. Thank you Mike!

The Fitclinic is just what I need. I just took a gently flow yoga class with Laura Q and it was great. Its a small group setting and so there was plenty of individual attention. She had a nice way of explaining the nuances of the different positions. It was a gentle flow class that challenged me and stretched me and I left feeling like a new person. If you need an attitude adjustment, Laura's class was a beautiful mix of restorative and flow yoga.

A little over 6 months ago (02/2023) I met with Mike. He gave me a reality check of my body fat percentage and weight ratio. Since that day, every week, once a week I have met with Mike for my hour-long training sessions. While working with Mike on my fitness goals he pushes me beyond what I believed were my limits. I am also learning what foods to cut out of my diet and how to properly exercise. Not only has he helped change my lifestyle to a healthier one, but he has become a mentor, a true friend and helped me boost my self-confidence. Amazing experience and results achieved. I highly recommended working out with Mike. He makes you feel like a celebrity with a personal coach. 😎

I started training with the FitClinic 1 year ago, and it has truly been one of the best decisions of my life! The FitClinic takes a wholistic approach to fitness, offering services that include wellness for the mind, body, and soul. I've joined other gyms before, and I've had other personal training sessions before - but the difference with the FitClinic is that it is 100% personalized! I have a personalized meal plan, a personalized workout plan, 1:1 mindfulness coaching (1x a week), and a doctor that tracks my bloodwork/body functions. Honestly - EVERYTHING I need for total mind/body health is packaged for me at the FitClinic. All the trainers are professional, knowledgeable, relatable, and FUN! I love going to workout (which is something I'd never thought I'd say LOL). Overall, I give the FitClinic 10/10, and I highly recommend them if you want to truly have a life changing experience.

I worked with Mike over the course of a year and a half, and I cannot recommend him enough. I signed up for the remote personal training/nutrition counseling package. Thanks to Mike, although I was on the road for over 8 months of the past year and a half, I still managed to lose 10 pounds and completely change my body composition. I am more body confident now than I've ever been. I also learned invaluable training and nutrition skills. Highly recommended!

Excellent client care. They genuinely invest time customizing your plans, (both meal, workout and recovery) that fits your needs and specific goals and make adjustments depending on how your body responds to get the best results possible. Definitely appreciate how focused the trainers are on this. They truly want to help each individual. They aren’t lazy about it, which is my favorite part. The return on investment is most definitely worth it. It’s been about 3 years for me with fitclinic, I’ve had the opportunity to try out almost all the trainers, plans, services, group classes, recovery, etc and I enjoyed them all. At one point or another all the services help my progress significantly.

I have been working with Mike for a bit over 2 months now and I have seen amazing results. Prior to working with Mike and The Fit Clinic, I was working out and lifting weights solo, relying on youtube videos and forum posts for tips and knowledge.
I was frustrated with the lack of results so I reached out to Mike for some personal training.
What a GAME CHANGER!
Having someone as knowledgeable as Mike really took me to the next level.
I am now a believer that having an expert on your side is necessary if you want to advance because they're able to point out blind spots you've never noticed, show you new and effective techniques, provide answers to questions you keep hearing conflicting things about, etc etc., on and on- it's just amazing.

I've been into fitness for most of my life, and I've acquired experience by paying trainers, and learning on my own, as well, to the point that I think i know enough to keep my body in shape.
Well, not so fast! You see, I have a totally flat stomach, however, there's been a stubborn extra "padding" on my sides that I could not get rid of. No matter what I did, I could not lose it. I tried different diet programs, different exercise routines, extra cardio, but nope; the lovely "handles" were not giving in. I got to the point of almost giving up, but I just wanted to give it one last chance. So, I talked to Mike. I asked him to make me a workout routine, since I already have a good diet (low calories, low carbs, low fat, and high protein)
Well, I trained and I lost some padding, but I was still not happy. I talked to Mike, again, and he made me a diet program, which I thought the diet didn't make sense, but I still accepted it. I told a friend that if I didn't lose at least a pound in a week, I was going to give up. On Monday, I started my workout and started the diet, as well. At the end of the week I got on the scale, and a big smile showed up on my face. I lost more than I thought I could. It was an unbelievable feeling. But I was still puzzled; I tried so many different ways without getting what I wanted, until now. How was it possible for me to lose weight in such a short time with a diet that didn't make sense. The power of knowledge!
Mike's experience and knowledge go beyond my own. I wouldn't have been able to do it on my own, but I'm glad Mike was there to help me.

Beginning of this year I made a personal goal of mine to gain weight and start going to the gym to look better. I didn’t know what exactly to do and knew I needed proper guidance in order to do things right. Thats when I met Mike and he taught me everything there is to know about building muscle. He taught me everything from proper form, working out certain muscle groups, nutrition, dieting, and much more. I can definitely say my quality of life has improved and have made going to the gym a new hobby of mine. This is my second session with Mike and he has changed the way I look at food and exercise. Though I have been lifting for years Mike took the time to build a program that fit me and my schedule. He taught me about food so that what I ate would benefit my body and was patient with me when I wasn't as faithful to the program as I should have been. It's been a challenge finding a nutrition regiment that would hit my weight loss goals and sustain a healthy lifestyle. After finding Mike as the top fitness and nutrition training in my area, he walked me through a detailed yet straightforward plan.
Given the pandemic, Mike met with me by phone and captured weekly results and data points through Google Docs. We started our journey with a BMI test too. He guided me calmly through every step of the journey and I scheduled catchup calls through his website appointment booking tool. The process was all easy, clear, and friendly.
I was very impressed with Mike's communication. He replied to emails and text messages quickly and if he was busy, he would still get back to me later that evening.

I travel 50% of the time for work - so with the current lockdown, I thought it'd be good to utilize my time being local to work with a trainer. I contacted Mike based on online reviews and mutual connections, and am glad I did.
Mike taught me about portion control and nutrition, and with a disciplined cadence of food intake - especially before working out, I find that the timing and level of my energy is optimized. I was able to lift heavier.
Mike also coached me with new exercises, and helped with achieving efficiency - I was able to lift just 3 days a week and maintain consistent results.
Mike is not just technically knowledgeable in what he does; he is also empathetic, flexible, a great communicator, and is able to establish a mutually respectful, casual relationship which led me to be able to look forward to our sessions, and achieve results.

Mike is awesome!!! Highly highly recommend. I just moved out of the area, but I trained with Mike for the past 5 years and learned so much. Very sad to lose him as a trainer as I can honestly say I looked forward to every session. The biggest aspect that differentiated Mike from other trainers I had previously is how well he really listens to your unique fitness goals from day one, and his wholistic approach to training. Not only does he talk you through techniques to of course the exercise and weight training side of getting in shape, but he is very knowledgeable about nutrition and food as well, and helps you understand how important the combination of these things are in staying healthy.
