There are not enough positive words I can give to Tiger and the experience I had with him for nearly a year. His focus on mobility, balance, and core strength tailored to my needs was unlike any other personal training experience I’ve had. Tiger is motivating and always encouraging with his workouts. The workouts never felt repetitive, and he was always adding in new wrinkles. Our sessions flew by and I always felt amazing at the end. Thank you, Tiger!!

I went to Fix for about a year and I have to say that it was the best gym and he was the best trainer that I have worked with. He pushes you to be better every time I attended a session. And it worked because I got stronger which was goal. He would mix up the routine so I never got bored. I actually looked forward to going twice a week because I also felt good when I left, Also his studio is so well organized, attractive and clean. You can tell that Tiger put alot of time idesigning his studio. If you are looking for good trainer, .Tiger is your man.

Absolutely awesome! Tiger and his team have a robust offering of workouts via Zoom. You can choose different live workout times. Which has been a lifesaver since I moved pretty far from the gym. Great if you travel or work crazy hours. Staff is supportive, very positive and attentive. Workouts change a lot too. So you won't get bored. Highly recommend!

I've been working out at this gym for several years now, and it's truly like being part of a big family. The team here is outstanding. When COVID hit, they didn't miss a beat and seamlessly switched to remote sessions, which was a lifesaver. One of the things I love most about this gym is that the routines are always fresh-Tiger constantly mixes things up, so my body never settles into a routine. Now that I work out from home, I can easily squeeze in a session into my busy day. I can't recommend this place highly enough! If you're looking for a gym that truly stands out with unique, personalized attention, and never boring, this is the one!

I wanted to drop a review because I still talk about the Fix Gym even though I moved out of LA. I found Tiger back when I first moved to LA 10 years ago. I showed up the first day very out of shape, but his encouragement and sweet smile made me feel at ease right away, then he laid out the details of my workout and plan. His gym was so clean and it had such a great atmosphere. Honestly, he got me into the best shape of my life. I was 50 years old at the time and I went from 28% body fat down to almost 14% in just about 4 months. His plan included 3 workouts a week with a great diet plan that didn’t feel like a diet. He also became my therapist which he doesn’t advertise haha. My workouts weren’t just physical they were mentally therapeutic (he let me punch the crap out of the punching bag🤪). He was worth every penny and I miss Tiger. Here is a before and after. Highly recommend The Fix ❤️

I first wrote about Tiger’s Fix Gym years ago, when I was in the thick of postpartum recovery. Back then I felt weak, broken, and like my body no longer belonged to me. What stood out about Tiger and the trainers was that they didn’t offer a prefab solution — they listened, they pushed, and they helped me rebuild strength in a way that worked for me.

It wasn’t easy. I still struggled with accountability, food choices, and almost everything outside the gym, but what Tiger gave me was motivation and safe, structured work that made me stronger and more capable than I thought possible. For the first time, I began to believe my body could do more than just hurt.

Before the Fix Gym, I really struggled with maintaining a workout routine that I enjoyed and often would drop off working out after a week or two of anything new I tried. I ended finding The Fix Gym, and it truly changed everything for me.

The small class workouts with Tiger (who is a phenomenal and supportive trainer) made me actually enjoy working out for the first time in my life. The stress and pressure that came with working out for me was removed, leaving only the good things in its wake. I look forward to attending knowing that the workout is already planned and handled by Tiger, that I get to workout in a physically and emotionally safe environment that isn't overcrowded, and that its helping me make real progress towards my fitness goals.

I’ve been training at The Fix Gym off and on since 2013, and every time I come back, I’m reminded why I started. My main goals have always been to get stronger, improve my cardio health, stay on top of my diet, and work on overall toning and flexibility, and The Fix has helped me with all of that.

Tiger and the team create a welcoming, no-judgment space where I feel supported even when I’m struggling with consistency (which has definitely been a challenge for me over the years). I also tend to fall off track in the evenings with snacking, but the accountability and coaching I get here keep me grounded and motivated to do better, not perfect.

What I appreciate most is that The Fix Gym doesn’t just focus on workouts—it’s a holistic approach that keeps my goals in sight while helping me build better habits. I came to The Fix after a year of losing strength from a spinal injury. Hands down The Fix Gym is one of the best personal training gyms on the Westside of LA. Working with Tiger increased my stretch, flexibility and stamina. I also have not injured myself working out at The Fix Gyn. Tiger has vast knowledge of the muscular system, nervous system, human body as a whole and is able to quickly adjust movements working around any aches, pains or previous injuries. At The Fix Gym you will NOT find a trainer on their phone, laptop or distracted. The full session is about you and making sure you are doing movements correctly. The Fix Gym got me excited to work out for the first time. The gym space is great from the grass turf on the floor to the wooden stall bars at each workout station to the water bottle and towel that’s set aside waiting for you when you arrive. The atmosphere is hugely supportive and positive and the trainers are knowledgeable, kind, and skilled. Have been doing their nutrition program as well and have seen incredible results in conjunction with the workouts! One of the things that has been a game changer is being able to do the workouts live and online when I’m traveling and not able to get to the gym. The live online training is amazing and means I never miss a workout when I’m away. Can’t recommend The Fix enough, if you’re just starting out or looking for a fresh new way of approaching your fitness goals.

I can't say enough good things about my experience. Training three times a week with Tiger has been an absolute game-changer for me.

One of the things that stands out the most about Tiger is his ability to make the training sessions incredibly fun and engaging. I've had personal trainers in the past, but none of them have been as skilled as Tiger in keeping me motivated and excited about each session. Time truly flies when I'm working out with him, and I never find myself watching the clock, counting down the minutes until the session ends.

I feel very lucky to have met and work with Tiger. The workouts are challenging but Tiger makes the session fun and the time move quickly. I began to actually look forward to coming in and doing my workout. Tiger does a great job of mixing all kinds of workouts to keep it interesting. He is also very careful to make sure you work out in a way that is safe and does not cause injury.  Not only did he grasp the difficulty of my initiating training after an orthopedic surgery, the exercises he selected were ideal for me.  I made significant progress and he was instrumental in my being highly motivated.

He keeps me focused, keeps me from getting bored, and has helped me with my nutrition. Not only is he a true professional, he is a cool, fun, and kind person.

Now my own goal was specifically strength training; others may want to lose weight, build some muscle, or improve cardiovascular fitness. Whatever it may be, I can unhesitatingly recommend training with Tiger. He will work with you to figure out your goals, and then he will be with you every step of the way, with good humor, constant support, and an encyclopedic knowledge of exercises suited to your needs.  He is always encouraging (pushing?!) me to try my hardest.

Congrats! If you’re reading this, you can rest assured that your search is over. Your life is about to be changed. I’m not exaggerating when I say that The Fix Gym has changed my life. I came across the website in the middle of the night when I was feeling down from not doing anything to take care of myself and received a call from Tiger first thing the next morning. I talked with him about my goals, fears (yes, I used to feel awkward going to a gym and not knowing what to do!), and need for accountability. Tiger took care of ALL of those.

Working out at The Fix Gym was incredible. The workouts are always different and feel like they fly by – even on those days when you don’t want to be there. Tiger’s approach to diet is a “seek to understand” mentality as opposed to making drastic changes, and he really helps you to examine your relationship with food without any hint of judgement. He helps you to make lasting changes.

Reading this before I submit it I keep thinking this sounds like a sales pitch. Honestly, this place is that good. If you want to make small tweaks or drastic changes, this is the only place to go. They’ve got their stuff in order.

The Fix Gym changed my body and changed my life. I had been talking about joining a gym for about two years. Y'know, just talking about it...but doing nothing. I hadn't spent much time working out since High School, and I honestly didn't know where to start, what to do, or even how to eat to get myself in shape. Bottom line: I needed some coaching.

I couldn't be more grateful to have discovered The Fix Gym. Tiger Ford is an amazing personal trainer. He tailor-made a program for my specific needs and goals, plus coached me on food, how to workout without injuring myself, and provided me with a safe space to genuinely fall in love with working out.

With so many unproven methods out there, Tiger is a true expert in the field of fitness. The workouts are always changing to keep you from getting bored. He instinctively knows when you need a push and when you need some recovery. His workouts are tough, but not so tough you're throwing up, and most important, you'll be really happy with your results and seeing your body transform.

Everyone wants a quick fix for their body and weight issues, but at The Fix Gym, I was able to create a life-long habit of taking better care of myself. Working out with Tiger has been amazing - the best trainer experience I have ever had. My challenge with personal trainers is that often the routines get boring and repetitive. At The Fix Gym Tiger is always mixing things up with different intervals and devices (Free Weights, Boxing, Kickboxing) so that the sessions never get boring. He also uses a device kind of like an ultrasound to measure your body fat at different points. I have found this to be super helpful for motivation. Overall I would 100% recommend The Fix Gym!

The Fix Gym review

I’ll admit it; even though I’ve claimed otherwise, my goal has always been to look better. I had toyed ineffectually with other goals, like losing weight or getting stronger, and while I stuck with getting stronger for a while, once I fell off of a program it was tough to get back on.

I found traditional trainers in big-box gyms to be ignorant of me and my needs, and unlikely to adjust to what was and wasn’t working for me. Neither did they have the time or attention to be comprehensive in their approach. Their diet advice was mostly useless and came without coaching or analysis. I was also promoted a few times in the past several years, and each promotion disrupted training as I adapted to new responsibilities and schedules. I also tried Cross Fit, which was for me a big mistake: the workouts were so emotionally draining that I started to look for excuses not to do them.

In contrast, Tiger at The Fix Gym started with tough but not impossible workouts full of “how are you doing” “how was that” how are you feeling” check-ins that made it clear he was paying close attention, AND a no-judgement period of simple dietary measurement to understand where I was starting. And over our year and a third together so far he’s walked me gently up a ladder of tougher work, more attention to diet, more measurement, and steady success.

The workouts are tough but Tiger is ready, almost eager, to adapt to make sure that you can complete them safely; at the end of a session I feel like I’ve worked hard and am done, but not worn down to a nub. And each workout is different from the last so there’s little chance to be bored.

When I started I was in the neighborhood of 230lbs and 30% body fat. I didn’t look super tubby, but as a 5’11” 45-year-old it was not a good situation. My most recent weigh-in has me at 204lbs and 14.6% body fat, which mans over this period I’ve left behind 39lbs of flab and put on 13lbs of muscle. I haven’t seen this level of fitness since college, or maybe ever. And my wife has noticed, happily.

If you’ve resolved and given up repeatedly; if you’ve wrestled with diets and hunger; if you’ve been disappointed with the lack of competent help out there, then you’re READY for The Fix Gym.

Though currently on hiatus due to a combination of a broken ankle (from hiking) and a crazy summer schedule, I've been working out with Tiger at The Fix since August of 2014 and lost about 50 lbs in the first 6 months, but that isn't the reason why this program is a success in my life. What I love about The Fix is how personal Tiger keeps the experience. There is support coming from all angles and a lot of care and research in each piece of your plan. Tiger treats each client with individual attention to detail and invests more than just time, but a piece of himself to the journey for each of us. When I first started at The Fix Gym I was a little jiggly and my body needed some attention and lovin. My goal was to firm up and fit into my skinny jeans. I was having a hard time achieving that on my own because I was only doing cardio and no strength training, along with doing all of my eating at night. Therefore I still had the dimples on your booty syndrome…..not happy. That all changed when I began working with The Tiger at The Fix Gym. Making it fun and homey with his amazing gyms vibe that has everything you need including a crackling fire, his coffee with protein, and the bumpin beats that Brian impressively knows every word to, it didn’t even feel like I was exercising!! I was having fun! My body knew I was exercising the following 1-2 days after each work out though….boy did it!! The best sore I could ask for. I would recommend The Fix Gym to ANYONE who wants to get results. Also for anyone who wants to train like a baller….think eucalyptus infused moist clothes to wipe down with after your workout! I’m not a morning person and this man got me moving at the early a.m. hours, and happily!!

I was one of Brian's first clients and I have had plenty of personal trainers. I will say that Brian has been the best and I am so happy that his dream of opening his own gym has come true in The Fix Gym. If I were you I would run there as anything that Brian does is of the highest quality. My main issue with working out is motivation and Brian is very motivating in a positive way. I have never loved to work out but I really have enjoyed my work outs with Brian. He is always very encouraging, positive and very knowledgable about what is best for you. He really tailors work outs for the individual as he knows that not all clients are the same. He really listens to what you want, need and is quick to find answers and solutions to anything that may be holding you back. If I lived closer to MDR (I live in DTLA) I would without a doubt join The Fix Gym immediately. Follow my advice; you won't regret it!

I LOVE The Fix Gym!! Owner, and Trainer-Extraordinaire Brian Woodruff (aka The Tiger), keeps the workouts intense and always changing. I came to The Fix Gym bored with my routine treadmill, weight workouts and needed something new and exciting. I work out 3-4 times a week and noticed that my weight loss had plateaued, I needed something different in my workout regime to continue to lose weight. The Fix Gym had it all! Personal training to make sure I have the correct form and to push me constantly, great music blasting so the time flew by, and then most importantly all kinds of different and fun equipment that worked so many different and new muscles I didn’t even know I had!! I also love that the workouts are constantly changing and evolving as you get stronger. This is really important to me because my body seems to get used to one thing quickly and then I don’t get results from it any more.

The Fix Gym is a real personal workout. The trainers listen to your strengths and your goals and then shape the workouts accordingly. They keep you motivated and intrigued as you don’t know what is next to come! Very clean and modern facilities, I would recommend this to anyone looking to shake up your workout and try something different and new that will definitely kick your butt!! My goal when I came to the Fix Gym was to improve myself. I had previously been challenged with financial and lots of body dismorphic issues and stress along with a need to gain muscle and lose weight so I wanted to finally find a gym. Tiger and his trainers are awesome and I made a lot of friends as well in the time I've known him. I highly recommend checking out the Fix Gym!! It comes with an owner/trainer with a lot of experience and the best sense of humor ever and you actually do laugh while working out harder than you ever would on your own.
