I have been to many golf lessons in my golf journey and I would say this is one of my favorite spots. Liz is my instructor and she has been so helpful in my golf lessons. She is very attentive and analytical when it comes to my swing. Unlike other instructors who generally try to switch your swing completely, she is able to help accomodate my swing to something that fits and is reliable. The most surprising thing is it actually works. Lastly, she never rushes you in and out of lessons and is very accomodating when it comes to scheduling. I would highly suggest anyone to go to her!

Matt Soza is the world’s greatest golf instructor ever! If I had to compare him to another coach I would say, without hesitation, Ted Lasso or John Wooden. Matt changed my whole swing in one lesson. Not only am I getting more club speed, consistent ball striking, and improved club angle, I added 30 yards to my seven iron. Matt explains things incredibly clearly and knows millions of simple, repeatable practice methods, that I know from taking lessons with him over 10 years ago can dramatically improve your game even when just practicing these moves on the range. I plan on coming back once a month despite the fact that I live in San Francisco.

Matt has been awesome. After getting tired of playing mediocre golf I finally took the leap and decided to take lessons. I’ve been working with Matt for a few months now and my swing is better than it’s ever been. His setup at the Golf Garage is first class. The space is very private and the technology used is as good as it gets. Matt has a great eye for the golf swing and is a really strong communicator. Playing for about a year, very committed (roughly 2 games a week), HItting in the mid 80s but definitely plateaued. I've had quite a number of coaches in the bay area. Matt's school of thought for golf is also very much aligned to the swing I want. Extremely professional and definitely knows his craft.

The Golf Garage & Matt Soza are world class! As a high level competitive golfer, I have been around the block and am pleased to say I've seen some amazing progress since coming to the Golf Garage. I've picked up speed- Driver ball speed averages coming in were ~132, now averaging ~145mph. 7i carry coming in was 145yd, now 160yd. Big gains!

Not only have I picked up speed but also consistency. Taking the flip/ extra movements out of the swing and becoming way more efficient. We are building a repeatable swing- and what makes Matt a great instructor is his ability to explain things clearly, along with his patience and dedication!

Matt has helped me take my golf game to the next level. Golf is a game that takes work. Matts set up is great to not only work on drills for the feel you need but the camera angles to play back what you are doing. This gives very quick feedback on what you are doing in real time. I’ve taken lessons with numerous PGA professionals in my life, and can attest to the fact that Matt is truly one of the best I’ve ever worked with. He knows how to utilize the data from Trackman without getting too technical. He explains his ideas so you feel informed without being overwhelmed, which to me is the true test of a great golf instructor. And to top it all off, he’s just an exceptionally great guy, and fun to be around.

I found out about the Golf Garage almost 2 years ago when I was just starting to take golf more seriously (there wasn’t much else to do during Covid times). I took my girlfriend there as one of our first dates ever for a lesson with Matt. Not only did he completely improve our swing mechanics in just 2 hours, but we walked away with not only a golf coach but a new friend! When I started with Matt I was around a 24 handicap and now just a year and a half later I’m shooting right around a 10/11 handicap! Matt is very patient, understanding, funny, and always helps you understand what you are doing wrong with your swing! Not only that but we have made some of the best friends who we golf with regularly and we also have been able to set up several events at the Golf Garage to help people join and participate in the golf community in the Bay Area! I had a break through moment in my last lesson. It was great and refreshing to make great progress. I increased my yardage on my 8 iron from 130 to 160. Matt Soza does a fantastic job of seeing what needs to be corrected. I will continue to keep coming to the golf garage to get my game ironed out.

I had 2 lessons from Matt and I can see huge improvement from just my 7 irons. I usually hit around 95 yards and never straight. After 2 lessons, I can hit up to 150 yards. Highly recommended and it so easy to book and make payments.

This is an amazing place to go learn golf. If you want to just shoot around play a course or games this is the place to go. The staff are amazing and helpful. I recommend this to anyone that want to go enjoy a day of golfing.

Matt has greatly helped me improve my swing over the past few months and has added significantly more yards to my game. He utilities a variety of drills to adjust different aspects of my form and breaks down the mechanics of everything for a better understanding.
Golf Garage is a comfortable place to hang out in and there are a number of courses available to play on the simulator.
So happy to have found GG and am always excited to go back for more lessons and rounds.
