New to Silks, and wow what an amazing place. Can tell the teachers really care about their students, and safety which is important to me as a newbie. Super professional, clean, and will definitely be back!

Our kids go there regularly. With a family friendly atmosphere and professional staff, the Hive SF is a great place for the whole family to learn and practice.

I found The Hive SF and their aerial silks classes 3 months ago and it has been life changing.

I was going through a very difficult time in my life and was really struggling with my health and was unable to find any physical activities that I actually enjoyed doing. I tried an Intro to Silks class with Mischa and was hooked.

Mischa is incredibly knowledgable, technical, and a master of her craft. Every class I take with her I feel inspired to return and get better and stronger and I have gotten better and stronger without even realizing it! Although I still have a lot of strength to gain, I'm feeling the best I have (physically and mentally) in a very, very long time and I am so grateful to have found a safe and positive space here at The Hive SF.

Great studio to visit on a brief trip to SF. Super down to earth instructors, cool moves, much dizzy making. Highly recommend 😊
Thanks again from Glasgow 🤸‍♀️

I've been coming consistently since April 2023 and I basically live here now. The community is incredibly positive, welcoming and inspiring. I'm doing things I never would have imagined a year ago. I'm better physically, mentally and emotionally thanks to this place and the wonderful instructors I've had the pleasure of working with. If you're at all curious about trying circus, don't wait another day! Try a few different apparatuses and see what you like doing. It's hard (and a little frightening!) in the beginning but the more you condition and practice the easier it gets, and you'll possess the most upper body strength you've ever had in your life! The feeling of training is less like going to the gym to lift weights and run, more like playing on the jungle gym when you were a kid. Come get obsessed!

I've been training here since March and I've tried several other gyms around the country while I've traveled. The Hive not only got me hooked on silks, but the teachers are awesome, we learn SO much, while also getting a great foundation for sequencing.

The staff is incredibly helpful, friendly, and great to interact with. Couldn't recommend this place more.

I hate exercise and haven’t been to a formal gym in years… but here… at the Hive… by hyper focusing on “learning tricks” I have confused my brain into thinking I’m not exercising I’m just having fun!

But wait there’s more! I note have ab lines and am the strongest I’ve ever been!! I even GREW half an inch from all the inversions. True facts from my medical record - age 52 - 61.5” the following year - 62”!!! What?!

The community of teachers and students is warm and welcoming and encouraging every step of the way.

Whether you are in great shape or just starting your fitness journey - if you’re looking for something totally different that’ll look REAL COOL - this is the place!

The Hive is a newer business, and I'm happy to be one of the first few to review on Google.

Service: I've been getting back into aerial + fitness after pandemic (and then, admittedly, finding the motivation), and I first heard of The Hive through Instagram. I knew of many of the owners/instructors through their teaching or performance reputations. I was excited to visit the studio during an Open Studio time to practice silks - the setup process was easy to follow (need to get pre-approved) and it gave me a sense of the type of customer service to be expected here. Spoiler: they're fab here, and the students are too. Hana was very patient and answered my million questions.

Classes: I purchased their intro pass to try out any 3 of their classes (they have classes for adults and kids). I was feeling a little intimidated in my first class (Silks 1 with Thai) since all the other people seemed experienced and already knew each other, but I was quickly at ease. Although this class does have pre-requisites, I never felt pressured to do anything I felt too uncomfortable with or was given options to build up to certain skills and strengths. My second class was handstands with Mega. It was a small class with only two students, which allowed us to ask questions and personalize our learning. The third class was flexibility with Erica. I appreciated her attention to detail (especially for newer students) and offering options for different levels and body types. One thing I have particularly enjoyed in all the classes is that the instructors allowed (to an extent, for safety) for conversation / building community between sets, and that is something I value and appreciate in a studio.

Location/Studio: The studio is walking distance from Columbus (a main street with multiple transit options). It is well-equipped with plenty of mats, props (e.g., yoga blocks, handstand blocks), and apparatuses - it has never felt "too busy" and so there's always been enough equipment IMO.

If I'm being nit-picky, one downside is that there are currently no mirrors, which I'm use to to help figure out alignment and angles. That being said, I love this new small business that seems to fill a gap/need for different types of classes in this North Beach neighbourhood and I'm sure I'll become a regular very soon (once my schedule permits lol).

Beautiful studio and great coaches who are experienced and encouraging. I love being challenged and learning new skills on aerial apparatus. You'll also get an effective workout, especially for the core and upper body.

Love the founding team and just took my first class. So fun!! I don’t know jack about aerial but rolling around in the silks is really fun and it’s a great workout for your core, too.
