I have a wonderful experience at this yoga studio. The owner (Kevala) and the teachers there are incredibly kind and attentive, creating a safe environment for everyone. I especially want to thank Larissa, with her kind heart & care, for staying after class to help me with a challenging pose! THAT level of patience and dedication means so much and is something you may not find anywhere else!
My favorite classes are Yoga Trapeze and Aerial Yoga (shout out to young talented teacher Maddy). They’re a great way to build strength while feeling light and free. Every visit leaves me more confident, relaxed, and I’m truly grateful to be part of this community.

I’m so glad I found the Mind Body Connection in Upland. I wanted to get back into yoga and doing yoga at home was not working for me. I love the space and people. The sessions I attend are focused on breath work. These sessions are not the kind of fast paced athletic yoga I encountered at other studios. That’s not for me. I appreciate the connection between breath, mind, and movement. Although I haven’t been able to attend as regularly as I would like, I have noticed improvements in back and knee pain, general mobility, and energy. Kevala, Larissa, & the other instructors are patient and seem actually interested in the lesson. I look forward to attending more regularly as my schedule clears up.

I'm so glad I found The Mind-Body Connection. The classes are different from any other yoga I've tried. They really focus on healing and function, not just flexibility. The therapeutic classes have helped me so much with my anxiety and back pain, and Pilates and Aerial yoga are fun and help me build strength. The teachers are so knowledgeable and caring. The space itself feels calm and welcoming. I always leave feeling centered and lighter when I leave. I'm so glad they are so close to Claremont. This is without a doubt the best yoga and pilates studio in the area!

Incredible environment and classes!
I took the 6 week prenatal yoga class from the second half of my second trimester to the beginning of my third trimester. Along with the Birthing Yoga Class, with my partner. Both classes instructed by Avalon. She is a phenomenal teacher and is so good at what she does. I could not recommend her enough. She created a positive and safe environment for me and baby, mentally and physically. I genuinely believe the exercises she included helped with baby's growth, development, and positioning all in a positive way. I feel much more prepared going through the rest of my pregnancy and birth because of Avalon. Each week I was excited to come to class and felt at home there. If you're looking for prenatal yoga this is definitely the place to go for it.

Loving the prenatal classes! I’ve been going since around 22 weeks and will be going until about 38 weeks. Avalon’s the best, she’s a great instructor and very knowledgeable. It’s nice to just take some time with yourself, your baby and some really good and helpful yoga.

10/10 for prenatal yoga with Avalon. I joined late (37 weeks) but I found the breath work and stretches to be very helpful. She also described how contractions feel when they come up and go down. I hadn’t thought about looking that up yet either so that was helpful.

I cannot recommend the prenatal yoga classes more! Avalon has been my teacher for two six week sessions through this summer, and I’ve learned so much from her. Not just regarding safe & helpful movements during pregnancy, but also about my pelvic floor, vocalizations for birthing day, and a sense of community with the other women in the class. It’s a very supportive, positive environment. The studio has been lovely to go to as well, with calming spaces and high quality props like blocks, bolsters, and blankets. Thank you Avalon for your guidance & support! And other mamas out there, check out this studio’s offerings!

I have been going to this studio for a few months now with my mom and I have loved every single class I’ve taken with Kevala and Larissa, particularly yoga trapeze. The instructors are incredibly welcoming and receptive to people of all levels and they take special care to make sure that modifications are made. The classes are also dynamic so even if you take the same class type, it’s different week to week. The trapeze yoga classes are especially fun and low impact. I would highly recommend trying the different classes they offer at this studio.

I love the Mind-Body Connection so much. I started coming here with a $30 for 30 days deal to try out all the classes. Now I am just finishing up the teacher training 225 hr program here! The program is highly educational, spiritually filling, and I look forward to learning and growing in my personal practice as well as teaching! Kevala is dedicated to providing the best teaching to her students and meets all their needs as they walk in the studio. Avalon also has an amazing energy for vinyasa and prenatal classes! I highly recommend trying out this studio for all sorts of different yoga!

Went here for the first time last night and it was lovely. The instructor was very welcoming, paced the class well and gave lots of good cues. I went to more of a therapeutic class for back pain and it was great. Very relaxing but also intentional. I am picky about the studios I go to, but I liked this one so much I am going back tonight. Check them out if you are in the area!

I'd like to make a recommendation for "The Mind Body Connection" in Upland, CA. I recently joined their Yoga studio and have loved meeting the teachers and other yogis there. Kevala redesigned the studio and it is so beautiful! It's a wonderful space to create your flow in. I've been trying new classes like "Therapeutic Yoga", "Yoga Trapeze", "Yoga to Alleviate Depression" & "Yoga for a Healthy Back". I went in lacking strength in certain areas, and the classes have helped me correct my posture, and elongate my body. I feel so much better after attending a class. I really like how many classes they offer each week, the times offered, and the diversity of the classes. Each one I learn something new. I really appreciate my teacher's coaching for meditation. I feel a lot happier after I can meditate for even a few minutes. I firmly believe in yoga's benefits for the body and the mind and highly recommend this particular studio! They also give so much to their community and have amazing prices for their classes. Please check them out! Thank you Ladies Kevala, Dawn, & Avalon, I have enjoyed your classes so much 😊.

In the past, I had a negative experience with yoga - it was tedious, lengthy, painful, and left me feeling inadequate and sore. However, after taking a class with Christina at the The Mind-Body Connection, my perspective completely changed. Her patience and encouragement made time fly by, and I felt empowered and accomplished. Although there was still some discomfort, the soreness I had experienced before was gone, and I felt fantastic after her class. As a Christian, I appreciated that she respected my beliefs and didn't try to push any Eastern philosophy on me. Christina is a true leader who practices what she preaches, inspiring us to achieve a higher level of skill and wisdom in various forms of yoga.
Trapeze yoga was an incredible experience that not only provided a great workout, but also boosted my confidence by allowing me to accomplish things I never thought possible. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and challenging experience. Additionally, the basic yoga class was equally impressive, with high-quality teaching and noticeable results. The studio itself is clean and calming, creating a comfortable environment for practice. I can't wait to return and continue my journey towards self-improvement.

Truly grateful to have found this yoga studio. I have been taking classes with Dawn and she is phenomenal. I am a beginner and struggling with stiffness and pain related to 9-5 desk job. She is warm, knowledgeable, graceful, and so helpful with her instructions and feedback. I feel accomplished to be getting more technical with my practice through her classes and it's diminishing the pain in my shoulders, back, and hips. She's thoughtful and provides soft focus-inspiring music and essential oils before class.
The studio is lovely and provides quality yoga props like blankets, mats, bolsters, and blocks. It's a smaller space but that is favorable to me because it's more intimate and less intimidating. I like when they burn incense and have the lights down, it comforts and relaxes me quite a bit. The owner designed the studio and it's shows how much thought and care was put into it.
There is also a Y12SR (Yoga and 12 Step Recovery) which is free and open to members of *all* 12 step programs. It's every Sunday at 6pm-8pm and this has been another amazing addition to my well being. The instructor Yochai is also phenomenal. He provides a welcoming space, humor, and is great at accommodating the yoga practice for everyone who comes regardless of experience and physical limitations. If you are struggling with substance use or process addictions and need a safe space, please please please attend. It's been a great way to get in touch and present with my body and participate in fellowship.

This yoga studio offers therapeutic yoga, along with general styles of yoga such as vinyasa, ashtanga, hatha, meditation, and specialty yoga such as yoga to alleviate depression, Y12SR (Yoga for 12-step recovery), AERIAL TRAPEZE YOGA!!!!!, gentle yoga, yin, children's yoga, prenatal yoga, you want it, they probably have it. I have attended different classes which were all wonderful. This review is about aerial/trapeze yoga which is so, so, so much fun!! I LOVE IT!!! Kevala teaches the aerial/trapeze yoga and she clearly explains how to get into the pose and is very helpful. To me, this is a fun and great way to get into being upside down without having to have the strength or know-how of doing say, headstand on the ground. The studio is brand new and very intimate. You will definitely get one-on-one attention from the instructors who are super knowledgeable and wonderful.
