At age 66 this is my first time doing any real fitness training. I was always an outside work out person or took yoga classes. But I decided that I needed to round out my fitness routine and was referred to The Nomad Gym by my physical therapist after a minor injury.
I am so glad I found The Nomad Gym-it is perfect and has far exceeded my expectations. Every week my trainer, Allie, comes up with something different. It is never boring, always something I can handle (even if I think I can't) and serious but oh so friendly, welcoming and down to earth. The Nomad Gym is wonderful!!

The NOMAD Gym is the best gym experience I've ever had. The trainers are super knowledgeable and keep workouts fun and new. I love the comraderie and positive vibes that this place has. I love that I am constantly learning about my body here and how to address specific physical needs I have. Weekend hikes and excursions, are real highlights. My strength, flexibility, mobility, and endurance have grown exponentially since joining NOMAD. For the first time in my life, I now look forward to 6am workouts. The Nomad Gym has exceeded all my expectations of what a gym can offer. From my first visit onward everything has been wonderful. From greatly increasing my fitness level to healing past and chronic sports injuries, Hunter and the rest of his team are simply a cut above the rest. Fitness and sports goals are taken seriously, but the focus is always on keeping things fresh, fun and varied. Changed my life! This is a great fitness center. The best trainers. Amazingly positive. If you show up, by the end you will be a healthier and better person, 100% true. Every time.

Hunter is so knowledgeable, you could be in great shape, not so great shape, have an old injury, he will meet you where you are in your health journey and just take you to a new level. You will be able to do things you didn't think you could.

Been training here with Hunter for the past handful of years. It's the best part of my day, hands down. Give yourself the gift of checking them out.

I first started my fitness journey late last year and was overwhelmed and scared about where to start. I still remember the first day I drove up to Nomad — Hunter and Allie were there to greet me and welcome me to the gym. Since then I have been coming to Nomad every Monday - Friday for six months now. The trainers are incredible, warm, and hardworking people - that give you their full attention, and support you through your fitness journey. They are always there to help and encourage you to reach all your goals. Since working with Allie I have seen my body transform - it has been a pretty incredible experience. Long time member. This gym has been the perfect fit for all of the stages in my fitness journey. Private training helped me master the fundamentals, group classes connected me with peers to problem solve fitness games (and learn from each other), and with those friends we've used our skills and dedication to tackle challenges away from the gym. The trainers and programs have guided and inspired me to tackle a powerlifting competition, a Spartan race, a half marathon (and 2023 full marathon), Mt. Baldy, the Manitou Incline, and the open sea on kayaks. I'm not sure at the founding how profound they thought the tagline “No Boundaries” would be, but it's a spirit that continues to thrive in the people who teach and train here.

Coming here for private training and group training was vital for my mental health and physical health. I was so sick of getting injured at other gyms and was glad to have found nomad. I came to Nomad in April of 2021 and I was instantly hooked after my first “trial” class. The group classes are smaller so you get a good dose of group dynamic as well as individual attention. The workouts are challenging yet fun. A lot of down to earth people which creates a supportive and low pressure environment.

I’m always intrigued by the workouts and I commend Hunter and the coaches for masterfully combining strength, mobility, and function into the workouts while still being fun and challenging! No two workouts are ever the same! Previously I had been an avid Orange Theory member but I realize now how limiting that style of workout was. The range of exercises I experience at Nomad feel way more beneficial to improving my overall strength, endurance and mobility.

Nomad is a unique gym experience that’s hard to explain unless you see it yourself, so try it out! Really great energy here, super welcoming and caters to all levels of fitness!

Hunter and his team have made working out fun again. I’ve been attending group classes in the am and have really seen the physical changes. I love how it’s not a typical training facility. If you’re going to try it don’t expect to get your traditional training experience. There is a lot of unorthodox movements that have actually been helpful with other activities that I do outside of a gym. I swear you leave this place feeling like you’ve learned something new about yourself after doing their workout. Thank you!

If you’re just getting into working out, you’re new to Burbank or you’re looking to switch up a routine, Nomad is the place. The trainers make each workout unique, fun and challenging. And just when you think you’re gonna give up, they push you just a little further. The community at this gym is inclusive and it’s a great place to meet locals with small classes and weekend outings. After working at home all day, it’s nice to come here and blow off steam and feel great!

I've been going to the Nomad gym with my wife for almost three years now. Six months ago we moved to Granada Hills but we still make the trip to Nomad b/c once a Nomad always a Nomad. We even kept our membership during covid b/c Hunter provided live YouTube classes and eventually reopened the gym outside in the parking lot. Never a dull moment at the Nomad gym! The small group classes are tough, but engaging and fun. We love all of the instructors at the Nomad gym.

Hunter and Allie have completely changed my whole workout experience! I exercise frequently in London, I have a PT and eat healthily, however my body shape never really changes and in turn this means my mood often doesn't change that much either. I started working out with Allie and within two weeks my body started to slim down and tone (in the areas I wanted most, those 'tough ones to tackle') Naturally I then instantly felt on top of the world! In all the years I have been working hard with weights and in gyms I have never noticed not only such a quick change in my physique, but I have never worked with such nice and educated trainers! Both Allie and Hunter made sure my experience was tailored to my needs. With such a passion for what they do it's no wonder that I'll be coming straight back as soon as I return to Los Angeles.

The nomad gym is the best kept secret!! Hunter and his Nomad coaching staff are incredible. After Years of CrossFit, I was skeptical of joining Nomad. Two days in I was hooked!! The workouts are fun, and very effective. You’ll walk away knowing you’re had an incredible workout.

Hunter is a fitness guru whose insightful, and knowledgeable. Classes are fun, never the same and definitely not your typical workouts.

I started going to Nomad about 4 months ago after realizing that my almost daily trips to the big-box gym were feeling stale and uninspiring. I had been doing more or less the same exercises for years and I was looking for a place where I could really be challenged and motivated and frankly where I could meet people.

From the first class I could tell Nomad was more than just a gym. It's more like a family. The environment is genuinely friendly, welcoming, and team-oriented.

Hunter, whose classes I mostly attend, is a gem of a trainer. Incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and always has the best attitude. Never a class with him where I'm not laughing at some point!

I'm always looking forward to the classes at Nomad. I highly recommend this place!

I hated working out until Nomad! I never knew how to workout with the correct form, or in a way that helps me reach my goals but thats all different now that I workout here. Everyone here is family and very friendly to newcomers. I also felt a lot of the time too sluggish and self-conscious to go to the gym but this really is such a positive place that that thought has NEVER crossed my mind since working out.

It's not just the exercise and the people that I love here, it's the positivity and understanding. This is NOT a gym where the trainers yell at you to 'push it harder.' The trainers encourage you get rid of the "I can't" mentality while also knowing your limitations. With me, I have a shoulder injury so I know to stop when it hurts, but I also know I'm stronger than what I thought.

The trainers also make the workouts a ton of fun! Sometimes there will be workout games or obstacle courses. That always makes it a little bit easier for me because you don't realize you're actually working out. Seriously, this gym has changed my life. Not just physically but also mentally. I'm a stronger person in every way. It's so strange to say that about a gym, but...this place is no ordinary gym!

Nomad's classes are taught by only a few trainers who also train professional athletes, movie stars, and UFC fighters, a far cry from the cold and apathetic corporate gyms, where the personal trainers there look like they could use personal trainers, repeating basics that can be found with a Youtube search. You get to work with the same faces, so not having a gym buddy to align with your schedule is perfectly fine. Their programs are custom built, and no day is the same (or even close really) to one before. It doesn't get boring, and your muscle memory will always be shocked into doing something new (and growing from it).

The reason I signed up here is because my gainz have slowed for a pretty long time and all I wanted was results. Working with the team here, I've been able to identify where form can be improved, and also taken on another perspective towards growth. Some days you don't use a weight over 20 lbs, but are sweating more than days when you're lifting twice your body weight, and sore in places you didn't know could be sore. Most importantly, I can feel results.

Whether you are new or experienced, there's something to learn here. The programs are custom tailored to the momentum of the class, and since they're small, you get the benefits of a one-on-one class with the fun of a bigger one. Everyone comes in with an extremely positive attitude, and the teachers make you feel like you're training for life instead of dreadfully fulfilling a New Year's resolution. Coming here, your arsenal will be professionals that understand the necessary diet and exercises you need to meet your goals, who are able to prove it by lifting 600 lbs instead of a piece of paper framed on the wall (although they have that too).

If you're looking for a change, you need to give The Nomad Gym a try.
