I used to workout 6-days a week to keep fit and tone until 2020 when the pandemic hit. Gyms closed, trainers were nonexistent, I stopped working out and started gaining weight. I was lost to say the least. Then in April 2023, turning 61-years old, I decided enough is enough and started seeking out another personal trainer. I checked online and this is when I found David Miller. I emailed him to ask about availability and cost. He was so professional and accommodating with my hours and he gave me a great price to start. So, I booked our first session starting on May 1st, 2023.

David is probably the most knowledgeable trainer in all of Irvine. He takes the time to understand your goals, develops a comprehensive plan, to include nutrition, supplements, lifestyle habits, and most importantly, holds you accountable to yourself. His training sessions are intense, fun, and always careful to respect your injuries and stresses. Never pushes you too hard, but just to the brink as he takes the time to understand your capabilities. He also properly evaluates your strengths and weaknesses to make you better and stronger. Additionally, he pushes you beyond your limit to help you achieve your fitness goals.

In just 4-months I lost 30 lbs. and gained good muscle mass. I was so excited to finally be back on track as once before the pandemic messed it all up!

David is the best! You can always tell that David has your best interest in mind. He is incredibly knowledgeable and has a science backed reason for everything he does. He is a “taker of his own medicine”. He doesn’t push you so hard that you want to puke by the end of a workout, but just hard enough that you know you’re making progress and come back for more. David and I started working together sometime in January before the pandemic. He was incredibly nice when I first met him, and he’s been that same guy ever since. We have gone through periods where I needed to take my workout slow, and times when I was ready really take it to the next level. David can do it all, and above all else, he cares very deeply about you as a client and wants nothing more than to see you succeed and be happy and comfortable in your own body. I started my time with him at 270, and I dropped 50 pounds, as well as fixing a shoulder problem that had been bugging me for years. Throughout the entire period he was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and positive. He is always eager to explain any aspect of health and fitness, and genuinely cares about helping his clients achieve their goals. Despite his deep knowledge and impressive physique, he is amazingly humble and very respectful.

When I first started training with David I was anorexic, had horrible posture, and very low strength. By the end of my time with him, I had put on 30 lbs of lean mass, gained almost 3 inches of height through posture improvement, and more then doubled my strength. David allowed me to vastly out perform my own goals, and ignited in me a spark and enthusiasm for health and fitness.

I’ve been working out with David for a couple of months now and I can definitely say he’s the best trainer out there. You can really tell he enjoys what he does. He’s very knowledgeable about everything related to fitness, working out, and about health. Any question I have he always has an answer ready for me. Not to mention you can tell he really cares about his clients and helping them as much as he can in order to succeed in their goals. He’s very flexible and understanding when it comes to scheduling as well. Within these couple of months David has really changed how I view working out. Been working with David for a while. His knowledge of fitness, exercise, and physiology is amazing. He designed a program for me that met my specific needs (I'm on the road a lot, and I play pickleball recreationally) and is regularly checking to make sure that things are working well.

He goes beyond "coaching on the machines and weights" to understanding how my life was integrating the fitness changes - my diet, rest, stretching, and energy level. He made a program that I am living with(though I can still improve) and I enjoy the changes.

I‘ve been working with David for a while now and he’s always given me exactly what I need: The Truth. He’s someone who is dedicated to his craft of being a great Coach and mentor who brings more than just healthy living to his training. He is full of helpful advice and is there to ask the trainee many questions so he can adapt his program and techniques to best fit their life style. We started out with some phone calls that transitioned into an at home workout plan where he can mentor and share with me the best way to stay fit at home; especially with Covid-19. After putting my personal health on the back burner for too long while career chasing, I realized I needed a guiding hand to get back on track. Father Time had caught up to me. But I had no idea where to start, what to do, how to do it or why I should even do it a certain way.

David not only had all the answers but married the science & technique to positive motivation and a genuine care for my success. He was invested in me and would not let me backtrack and give up. As an out-of-shape 55 yr old, David has the patience, wisdom and motivation to help me through my fitness journey. From the first contact, David has given me one-on-one attention, checking in frequently, constant motivation and always willing to schedule time to discuss issues and answer any questions I may have. We are doing this training remotely( I’m in Illinois, David in California), yet I feel like he’s right here with me every step of the way. From text messages, phone calls, to FaceTime, David responds almost immediately, even at 5:00 am central time( which is 3:00 am west coast time)! I found David after coming back from cancer surgery. I was afraid of working out post-surgery but also set a vain goal of getting ready for a beach vacation! David helped me get over my fears, worked with me about figuring out the kind of body I wanted (when even I wasn't sure!), and six weeks later I left for Miami looking and feeling great. Now we're on to the next goals and I'm still looking forward to every workout because he somehow manages to make them super challenging but also super fun. He is a technical expert in the science of exercise and the safety of rehab, but he adds a great deal of creativity into the mix that keeps things moving and interesting. I met Dave the very first month he had moved to New York. He was handing out flyers on Wall Street and despite my initial hesitation as I usually throw all flyers out, I kept his and a few days later I thought what the heck I gave him a call and the rest is history.
