Rock climbing gymAbout the Club
You're not joining a climbing gym. You're joining a community. You donβt have to be in amazing shape. You donβt have to have any experience. Welcome to a safe, no-pressure, friendly community of people who love to climb and love to help others do it, too.

Was visiting from out of town for business. Have been to many gyms across the country; this is definitely one of the better ones out there. They have everything you could ask for - just wish we had one like this close to me!

I would put 0 stars if I could. Prohibitively expensive, who has 130 a month to spare?!?

Finally a full featured climbing gym in SB! Huge gym with two massive bouldering areas, dozens of top rope setups, tons of lead climbing including a fully horizontal arch, auto belays, cracks, regulation speed wall, dedicated kids area, awesome staff, great location, plenty of parking. So happy to finally have a good gym nearby!

I was really looking forward to checking this place out, but unfortunately I had an experience with the staff that soured my visit. My partner and I waited over an hour to take the top rope test and were met with defensiveness and aggression when we tried to leave feedback with the staff.

Huge gym with an abundance of routes (ropes & bouldering), friendly staff, and great atmosphere! That being said, the benefits are reflected in the membership price which is almost double that of the other gym in Santa Barbara.
As of the first week, suffering from some new-business-bad-luck; toilets out of commission, reduced hours, wrong address on google maps, and sound system inconsistencies...but on the way to be a pretty good spot with 24-hr access. Ropes are also pretty stiff which makes breaking easy but the rest of belaying strenuous so hoping that clears up as the weeks go on.

The Pad is the newest climbing gym in town! It has two floors of boulder problems, and a ton of top rope and lead routes. I had ton of fun checking it out!
Spent about 1.5 hours bouldering. There were problems with difficulty levels ranging from V0 - V10 that I saw. Mainly did V3 - V5 problems during my sesh and they felt on par difficulty-wise with other gyms in the area. They have a wide selection of holds that they incorporated into the routes. There is both slab and overhanging routes.
Everything is super clean and fresh right now. Overall, I had a great time and will definitely be coming back! If you are a seasoned climber or just dipping your toes in for the first time, you can't go wrong coming to The Pad π§

Awesome new gym. Good routes, good vibes, just about everything was done well. They gave autobelays, top ropes, lots of leading, lots of bouldering. Separate training room if that's your thing. Everything is clean and new. Staff is great

Beautiful facility! No expenses spared. The Manager is professional and really helpful. Cool environment to bring your kids! More than enough equipment to build your body if youβre self motivated, disciplined, and open to the high learning curve that comes with bouldering. I Am really looking forward to their full fledged gym opening up to increase my skill set and for my kids to become climbers.

The Boardroom is a great training facility for those looking to get serious and motivated in their climbing performance. There's a spray wall, moon board, woods board, hangboard, campus boards, full weight equipment, and more for all your training needs. The people are friendly and a membership gives 24 hour access to the space.
FYI the more conventional style climbing gym is planning on open late summer 2024 so I'm excited to see that come to SB!
