I attended Marguerite Imbert’s prenatal yoga classes throughout my second and third trimesters, and they were truly a gift during pregnancy. Each session felt calming and grounding, with sequences that were consistently creative, varied, and thoughtfully designed. As someone who loves yoga, I found her classes to be a welcome relief from the physical discomforts of pregnancy. They helped me stay connected to my yoga practice in a way that felt both safe and nourishing.

I love my prenatal classes with Marguerite on Mondays and Wednesdays ❀️. It feels like Marguerite was born to be a prenatal yoga teacher - soo good. She listens to her students' needs, explains every move in detail, highly knowledgeable in prenatal modifications and explains the reason behind each of them. I'm obsessed with The Pad Studio (Union St) and will keep going here till my birth (and after). Thank you!!! I highly recommend this place to other moms-to-be!

The Pad is one of the most welcoming and open studios I’ve ever been to. There is a diverse option of classes - from slow flow to power flow - at accessible times of the day depending on what you prefer (early AM, mid-day pick me up, or an evening yin yoga class). But honestly what I love most about practicing at the pad is that I feel like I’m part of a community and I’ve made some meaningful connections through the Pad.

SUCH a nice place to take a fun, approachable class. I have been going for about a month, but I have never felt like a new person sneaking in. It was never cliquey or annoying, and the yoga is good. Also, the teachers each bring a unique thing to their classes, so its nice to both have access to variety and pick some favorites.

The Pad is a great studio! I like it because it is close to my house, parking is relatively easy and they offer many different classes everyday. I feel like post-covid, many yoga studios only offer a couple of classes a day and I appreciate having more options. It is a very calm and relaxing environment and folks of all levels are welcomed and challenged. The teachers range from very good to really freakin' awesome - there are a couple who clearly know their stuff and have a lot of experience to share.

yoga has been a consistent weekly workout for me. all the teachers have been skilled and welcoming. it's an authentic yoga studio that gets steamy with the body heat, usually a great playlist is in the background. I love the vinyasa flow for the energy and stress relief. I would like to try yin or slow flow, but have not been yet because it is too late at night. due to my schedule, I am available to go to class weekday evenings right after work or weekend mornings. recent yoga teacher trainees have been humble but great. community classes are more inclusive for both students and teachers.

I spent a week in San Francisco in Dec of 2023 and I took a few classes at The Pad Studio and absolutely loved the energy there.
I took classes led by Lauren Choen, Marguerite Imbert, Sarah Shahfi, Amanda Malone, and Emma Peck and they were all very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I highly recommend anyone with any degree of yoga experience to give them a try.

Thank you all for the amazing experience!

I joined the Pad Studio recently, during the shelter in place in the Bay Area. I feel deeply grateful that I found the Pad Studios online as they offer an awesome content of yoga and pilates classes. Each and every class I took was amazing. Thanks to the Pad Studio and their teachers I feel good, staying strong and healthy, feeling connected and practicing yoga and/or pilates every day. Their classes are suited for every level.
Thank you.

I am relatively new to the Pad tribe, and have had nothing but wonderful experiences so far. The instructors and staff are extremely professional, the studios are immaculate, and overall I know I'm in good hands. I've particularly appreciated the online classes during the lockdown (they have been a true lifeline), and I'm looking forward to being back in the studio when all this is over. Thank you, Pad Studios!

The Pad has been my home away from home for the last 10 years. It has always been well kept, well ventilated, and well attended. The atmosphere manages to be zen and cheerful at the same time and class playlists are always on point--somehow both chill and trendy, not too woo-woo, and never overbearing.

All of that aside, it's the quality of the teaching and the warmth of the teachers--every single one fo them--that has kept me coming back to The Pad for a decade. They each bring a special quality to their particular class, whether it's a good sweat, focus on the breath, proper alignment, or a deep sense of empathy and self-acceptance that draws us all to the principles of yoga.

As we all try to stay sane during this difficult time of social distancing, I encourage everyone to support this very worthy small business and sign up for virtual live classes. And when it's all over, go down to the corner of Gough/Union and take a class in person. Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk.

The Pad was my very first time trying yoga, but probably the best welcome i could possibly get. I usually like to work out solo β€” I like finding motivation within myself β€” so typically group classes aren't for me. Had a terrible experience trying prenatal Pilates. I explained to the instructor I was new to using the reformer and I felt the whole class moved very fast with very little personal attention. We were only a class of 4 students! I contacted the studio to inform them I was not comfortable taking this course and had a bad experience. I was told by the receptionist that I could absolutely be offered a refund (paid 85$ for 3 classes) and she seemed very empathetic but that I should speak to the Pilates manager. I took the time to email the Pilates manager and was told "no refunds" just either I can take an additional private class or signup with another instructor. Shocking stance for a neighborhood studio I was planning to do prenatal yoga at. Such a disappointment. Whatever happened to kind understanding managers that want you to feel safe and enjoy your experience? Yuck!

My new go to for yoga in SF. Beautiful studio space (has no mirrors which I think allows students to focus much more on the feeling od the shape as opposed to the look of it). Every teacher I’ve taken here has been leaps and bounds beyond what you get at core power or other chains and are true professionals dedicated to their crafts.More of a slower spiritual focus than nearby yoga flow sf (another fave)- although there is some overlap in teaching staff. Always leave class feeling relaxed and challenged.

This studio is pretty with a lot of natural light in the yoga and front Pilates reformer room. Great instructors and classes with a nice variety to pick from at any time during the day. Classes are moderately challenging and the teachers give great tips for proper alignment to avoid injury while working out to their latest playlist. The package options are competitive prices for the area and you can drive the cost down to ~$17 per yoga class. Still think the prices are obnoxious so took off a star.

I never thought yoga was for me until I came here. I'm absolutely addicted and love all your classes and teachers. The fact that I actually look forward to coming and get both the benefit of a full body work out while actually feeling BETTER after I leave and also get a chance to relax my mind for 75 minutes is just wonderful!

I love the Pad! The classes are full but never overwhelming, and the studio itself is beautiful and clean. The classes are great for people of all levels too which is nice.

We did a class using the reformer and it was a great workout. The instructor was precise about the movements and it really helped me get the most out of my workout. I will definitely be returning here!

My friend brought me here for power yoga recently and I honestly loved it. I don't generally like yoga, either.

Pros:
- Beautiful space, well lit, kept at a decently warm temperature but with plenty of movement so it's not stuffy
- The power yoga class involves movement, strength, and flexibility in almost equal portions. It has a simultaneously calming and energizing effect. I haven't experienced that before but it was great.
- The teacher is very gentle about corrections in form, which lets you enjoy the class even if you're a beginner (she will correct you, but not loudly or anything)

Cons:
- The mats are sweaty and gross - spraying them with water at the end does not constitute cleaning in my view

I used the new student discount to try out the yoga classes and instantly fell in love. The studio has a posh vibe from the look of the storefront but is much more inviting once you step inside. The teachers are wonderful there with a great energy for group classes that are powerful and fun. The $18 drop in rate is a bit cheaper versus $20 for nearby studios as well.

Great teachers, great space, lots of classes and reasonably priced. Courtney and Caitlin are favorites. With hour & 15 minute classes, you know you're going to get a good workout.
