My husband Sam and I have been taking lessons with Josh Garber and I can’t tell you how much he’s helped us! We’ve both had lessons before with little to no improvement. Josh has an innate ability to see the smallest things that need correcting and even better he will try to explain things in different ways until it clicks. I am not athletic and a slow learner but he has never been impatient. I’ve gone from being anxious whenever I play to being confident and having fun! I am so grateful for his coaching!

I discovered the palm desert golf academy via Google in July of 2024. I was looking for a facility that would offer top level one on one professional golf lesson instruction with awesome driving range and prestine golf courses, and I found it at the academy. My PGA instructor Jeff Grant is great and very knowledgeable. J Grant is professional, courteous, great listener and provides feedback. For any person that is looking to venture into golf or if you're looking to improve your game, The Palm Desert Golf Academy is the place. The facilities are immaculate and the staff is great.

Never having touched a golf club in my life I decided to try some lessons with Todd Martin on the recommendation of a friend.
Where should I start?
Todd’s teaching style and knowledge of the sport are beyond exemplary.
He has the patience of a saint and was able to work his incredible magic and teach me what I thought was the absolute impossible.

My husband surprised me with golf lessons at Palm Desert Golf Academy, Get Golf Ready program with Todd Martin. It was the best introduction to the game, and I'm now excited to play with my husband, and friends! This was a 6 week program, starting with putting and chipping, all the way to driving. As a newcomer to golf this was absolutely best introduction to golf. As a teacher, Todd is a phenomenal instructor! He is extremely patient and knowledgeable. His approach to teaching, provided an all important foundation that I can now build on. I highly recommend the Get Golf Ready program with Todd. It's a great value, and we had a lot of fun! I can't wait to take more lessons at Palm Desert golf Academy!!

I was surprised on my big birthday with a a great present. A morning of golf instruction with Paul Bucy, lunch with Paul and nine holes of golf. I didn't really know what to expect, but I was pretty excited about getting some proper instruction etc.

I have to tell you I just loved all of it. First of all Paul was fantastic, he is great teacher, he is knowledgeable and really knows how to break things down so that you understand what you need to do. I never Feld like I was having a lesson. It was work and it was fun.

I enjoyed the video breakdown and analysis during the lesson so I could see what I needed to correct and understand it.

Yes, it it work and it does get uncomfortable when you have make adjustments to a golf swing etc. Paul encouraged me gave me feedback and confidence. I saw a difference pretty quick and I was able to translate a good portion of what I learned out on the golf course after the lesson. Paul was right there with me on the course reinforcing the key things we worked on in the lesson.

To top it off I received a nice recap/summary of what we learned and what to focus on going forward as well as videos in App for future reference.

Overall, I thought this experience got me excited about continuing to get better at the game of golf.

I would highly recommend Paul Bucy and The Palm Desert Golf Academy. Five Stars all the way around.

I am an older, stiffer, less than agile golfer Billy Spicknall offered two terrific lessons which took into account my limitations. The thoughts discussed, displayed by him and displayed by me were very helpful Up and downhill lies, side hill lies, and a means to find some extra distance,

I had a great experience at the 2-day school with head instructor Paul Bucy. The facilities are first class, the instruction was insightful and extremely helpful, and Paul is great to work with. We worked on all aspects of my game, and monitored my progress with video analysis and Trackman data. Having Paul play nine holes after the instruction was awesome so that we could work on implementing the swing improvements. The Desert Willow Resort is world class...the courses are among the best I've ever played. We had 38 players from our community golf group participate in two, two hour clinic sessions that rotated between 4 skills, full swing, sand play, chipping, and putting. The four professionals from the Academy were excellent, especially adapting their teaching to a wide range of skills. The facility itself is perfect, with separate areas to practice each skill and the grounds are very well maintained. Here were some of the comments:

Exceptional Golf Instruction at Signature Golf School

My experience at the Signature Golf School with instructor Paul Bucy was truly transformative for my golf game. From the moment the session began, Paul's expertise shone through as he seamlessly incorporated a warmup and stretching routine to get me ready.

Within just a few minutes, Paul was able to diagnose the issues I was having with my iron shots. He then structured the rest of the program around fixing those problems, providing me with practical drills and techniques to improve my swing.

As someone who uses Arccos sensors to track my rounds, I was able to see the impact of Paul's instruction firsthand. After attending the golf school, my approach shot accuracy improved by 6 strokes, and my overall score dropped by 8 strokes. I came in as a high handicapper, but I'm now well on my way to lowering my handicap thanks to the exceptional coaching I received.

I first met Paul Bucy in March 2022 when my sister and I took a two day golf school. What a fantastic experience! The morning sessions started with stretching and then onto specialized instruction based on our goals. A short break for lunch with Paul and then onto the course for play/instruction in the afternoon. During our drills, Paul videotaped us and then uploaded them to an app with commentary. This app has proven to be really valuable to me as I refer back to it just about every time I play. I can also message him through the app with questions. What I really appreciated about the golf school is that Paul doesn't want to change your swing, he wants to make what you are already doing even better. He has a great teaching style. Friendly, knowledgeable, approachable and very encouraging.
Since the golf school, I have been back to Palm Desert several times and I make sure I book a lesson at every visit.
Thanks to Paul, my golf game has improved and I've lowered my handicap.
It is such a fantastic experience that my sister and I have booked another golf school for 2025. You will love the academy and you'll see an improvement in your game. You won't be disappointed!

The Palm Desert Golf Academy is a first class teaching centre. They have a super range, short game facility and putting green. Our instructor Jason Wilkinson has been teaching for 16 years and has many great ways of getting his teaching points across. Use of real time video was so helpful. I have taken lessons from many instructors and the set up at PDGA and Jason as instructor have been the most valuable. Highly recommended.
