The Perfect Workout has been a great experience for me. I have been looking for a long time for a workout program that works with my schedule and gets results. This is a program that really works. Slow motion strength training has improved my muscle tone and I have become so much stronger. I look so much better in my clothes and I feel so much better about myself. Twice a week for 20 minutes has changed my life, my bone density has improved and this has made a huge change in my over all physical being.

The previous review I wrote was November 2011 when I first started at the Perfect Workout in Mission Viejo. I have been going to the Perfect Workout at the Mission Viejo location since 2011. It has been a great experience for me and obviously love it! This is a workout that really works. Twice a week for 20 minutes has made a big change in my life. My Bone Density has improved and I do not need to take medication, that is Big for me. I feel good about myself, my body is strong and I have great muscle tone. The trainers are great and they take a personal interest in your goals. I look forward to my workouts! Give the Perfect Workout a try and see what a change it can make in your life. I am Stronger, Happier and Healthier now!!

My first impression was an exceedingly professional environment and the trainer "Sonja Jackson" was remarkably talented. She was very patient answering all of my Micro management questions. I wanted to know everything about this training technique. Sonja's pre-planned workout was phenomenal and I could really feel the difference in my muscle activation. Compared to my regular weight lifting methods. I would recommend anyone to try this. Especially if you have joint problems. I have a bad knee and i usually have a lot of pain after leg day. I had no pain after training in this fashion. Two thumbs up to Sonja for showing me this new exercise technique.

I’ve been working with Vanessa Villalovos at the Mission Viejo studio for quite some time now, and I honestly can’t imagine ever going back to the old standard of training…body splits every day of the week, multiple sets/reps each workout and the time it takes to properly exhaust the muscles.

I was very skeptical in the beginning – who can get a decent workout in 20 minutes twice/week? I took advantage of the free information session and accompanying workout in an effort to re-focus and re-generate my own workouts, workouts I’d been doing the same way for years. Not only was I able to re-focus my gym efforts, but this workout has changed the way I think about exercise. With Vanessa’s guidance, I am able to get the vigorous workout I need in a fraction of the time. My workouts are never dull or boring, my form is closely monitored, there’s no need to wait for equipment to free-up, and the exercise challenges are limitless.

The studio/equipment is very well maintained, and in the event I need to change a scheduled appointment or if my trainer isn’t available, there’s always another certified trainer to accommodate my schedule and needs. I highly recommend not only The Perfect Workout philosophy, but this studio and, in particular, my trainer…she consistently comes through in helping me get the very most out of every session in a safe and challenging manner.

Since retiring and moving to Mission Viejo 18 months ago, I noticed I was not as strong as I used to be when working with horses at our former ranch. I was still swimming at the Y and walking, but I simply felt weaker. Older.
And I've been having problems with a knee joint where very little cartilage was left. "Build up your thigh muscles" the physical therapist said. "They will support your weight instead of your joint." But the wimpy exercises he gave me did little. "There's nothing left but knee replacement if you want to walk without pain," the orthopedist said.
Then I read an ad in the Orange County Register about The Perfect Workout. The testimonials sounded great, but would it help ME become strong again without hurting my knee? I asked my chiropractor and he told me Slo-Motion Strength Training was the best kind for your body. He gave me a thumbs up to go ahead. So, I went for a session, discovered how the program works and signed up for a 12 week course.
After only FIVE SESSIONS, I noticed that I could go up (and more importantly) down stairs without a twinge from my knee! Formerly I needed to grasp and put half of my weight on the railing to keep from pain and weakness in my knee. Amazing! Everywhere I went, I charged up and down stairs, just to see if it was a lasting benefit. It was! The day after Thanksgiving I went on a 4 mile strenuous hike with my son and teen granddaughters, without pain.
And now, after completing all twelve sessions, I feel strong. I can walk straighter, longer, and with more bounce. I can lift grocery bags easily that the box boys say "Be careful, Ma'am, this is heavy!"
My percentage of muscle mass is very good now (they tested me), and although I am 68, the strength testing says I am 54! Hooray!
Will I sign up for another course! YES! I want to keep going. Who knows, in another few months, I may have the body of a 42-year old.

After reading a few articles about The Perfect Workout I finally decided to visit the Mission Viejo location. My initial reason for joining was to change my over all body strength and to control the weight gain that happens with aging. I am very satisfied with my results - my muscle tone has changed and my weight is under control with only working out 20 minutes 2 times a week! Also, I used to have soreness in my lower back and now I don't. Todd is my trainer. He is very knowledgeable, dedicated and encouraging when pushing me to muscle failure. I couldn't be more pleased with my results and experience at The Perfect Workout.
