I have been on this journey with Perfect Workout for over three years and I cannot say enough about how this Workout has literally changed my life. I have tried dozens of workouts over the years. Some I have liked some I have not. And I have had mixed results. I have seen the Perfect Workout being promoted for quite a while and I've always been curious. I finally took the leap and went in for a trial workout. While it was definitely challenging, the fact that a full body workout could be done in 20 minutes was amazing. The facility is friendly, and the trainers are wonderful. The Perfect Workout lives up to its name, it’s perfect! After never being able to really change my body with any other type of exercise, this method really works. I’ve put on a ton of muscle, which has allowed me to start losing weight finally! The staff is knowledgeable, supportive and caring. 20 minutes is also such an easy commitment, so it’s not hard to find the motivation to show up on days that I am low energy. I'm in my third year of training with The Perfect Workout and I have found that the method of resistance training they use is exceptionally efficient. The time goes very quickly with around seven exercises performed to muscle failure in only 20 minutes. It is just a good workout for the time invested. I love this program & Tracy is an exceptional trainer. I’ve worked with others in the past, & they worked but they were not sustainable for me, as my body would break down, I’d get injured & have to stop training, & the whole cycle would start again. Not the case here. This program & Tracy guiding me thru it, keeps my progress going steady without aggravating old injuries or causing new ones. That said the guarantee is a little bit misleading I feel, and the graphs can be discouraging in the beginning because I just saw my performance going downhill on them, however that was because I was adding more exercises, & doing them in a different order, so then I understood how to read them. I didn’t see progress on the graphs in the timeframe of the guarantee, & I think we were still trying to find a baseline for me in that period, BUT I was reaping benefits like being able to bound out of bed when the dogs came to wake me for potty walks, & my aches & pains diminishing (now they are gone except day after soreness), so I could tell I was reaping benefits even if I didn’t see it on the graphs. This seems to be the best exercise program I have ever tried, so I plan to stick with it as long as I am able to. 20/10 would absolutely recommend!!!!

I’ve been working out here for about 10 months. I’ve been with a few trainers, and they are all kind, and push you but don’t yell. They make sure you’re doing the motions properly, and getting the most out of your workout. Within the first four months, of course with diet changes as well, I lost 38 pounds and had increased my muscle. I’d never had such results with traditional trainers. I have been working out at the Mission Valley Perfect Workout for 4 years and am getting ready to start the 5th year. Although I also work with other trainers, Gary has been with me the entire time. He and the other trainers are knowledgeable, supportive and inspiring. I have never had one I didn't like and being able to work with multiple trainers allows you to switch workout times to meet your schedule needs.
While I enjoy their company, I continue to do the workout because I know it works. I will be 69 later this month and while most people lose muscle mass as they age, mine has continued to increase. Body scans in January and May of 2018 demonstrated a muscle mass increase of .7% in that 5 month period!
Is it fun? Not the word I would use to describe the workout, but I really do get in and out in 20 minutes. And it works. I am in the best shape of my life thanks to the Perfect workout.

Ten years ago I read an article in the UT paper about a new exercise
program starting in Mission Valley. It was weight lifting with a personal trainer. It offered exactly what I had been looking for. Bone loss as we age is what shortens our lives and ability to enjoy our retirement.The

I started doing slow motion, high intensity training at the Perfect Workout almost 7 years ago. And I never plan to stop! All of the trainers are amazing and they do become like family. They are as invested in your health and wellness as you are.
My personal trainer, Gary, pushes me beyond what I'd do on my own. He, and the other trainers, make sure your form is correct so no injuries occur. They rotate exercises and equipment to keep it interesting and focus on different muscle groups as well as your basic core exercises.
I'm almost 65 and I'm stronger now than I was in my teens and twenties. I not only want to live longer but have a better quality of life. And the Perfect Workout is the way to do it. Everyone should try it!

I joined TPW when a big milestone bday was looming – time to do some research, get to work and make a change for the better. I’ve belonged to gyms in the past and each time burned out on the experience and/or rationalized myself out of going at all (too hot, too busy, too boring, too crowded, bad music, icky vibe…) This place is a whole different attitude – no crowds, personalized, no music, no mirrors, no posers! Over a year later I’m still committed and going strong (actually A LOT stronger) with TPW. At 20 minutes you’d think this would be a breeze – but, nope, it kicks your backside - it’s hard work, you feel it and the trainers know how to push you - though to success. Each trainer has their way of mixing up the routine to constantly challenge you all while making sure your pace & form are correct. My trainer recently set the leg press to where I was when I first began the program and I was astounded at how far I had progressed in my strength. There’s science behind this program and I’ve seen great changes in my physique, strength, endurance and my overall energy level. A plus is that the trainers are smart and witty and it’s a lot of fun going to work out now.

The perfect workout is not like any other gym. It’s not just that the workout is different, the whole environment is different. No fighting over machines or feeling irritated by people around you being obnoxious. It’s pretty much just you and your dedicated trainer. Great way to pack 8 hours of gym time into two, 30 minute sessions. I am gaining muscle and strength unlike my old gym workouts. This is helping my joints and muscle problems unlike other workouts. You get great energy and no more sluggishness! Overall it forces you to 100% every workout! I wish I tried this sooner!

Great staff that can really motivate but some machines are simply not good and outdated. Lower back and hamstring machines are useless. Fortunately, i can do those exercises in my apartment gym.

As a senior, I am very aware that strength training is a must for the long life I plan to live. I have always been very active and am a dedicated hill walker, but knew I was not exercising all muscle groups. After reading an ad noting the research behind The Perfect Workout, I decided to give it a try. That was six months ago and I am thrilled with the strength progress I have made. Total body workout in 20 minutes....and yes, after two or three minutes per exercise, your body CANNOT move that weight at all!
