A little effort goes a long way! Yes, you can get in shape by doing this intensive personal strength training workout 20 minutes, twice a week. I needed a regimen to get tightened and toned for my daughter's wedding last year. It had to be convenient to get to and be a flexible schedule. I started about 8 weeks before and saw results within 3 weeks. The trainers design the program to your needs. They have great enthusiasm. They know how much to push you to get to the next level and when to stop.They're sensitive to aches and pains. My body is in better shape now than when I was much younger. I'm stronger. Clothes fit better. The results last between the workout days. That's why over a year later, I'm still coming back. It works! Come on, you must have 20 minutes to spare. My husband referred me and he's still doing it too.
Still coming many years later and it’s still PERFECT!!

Perfect workout has been a great benefit to me as I focus on strength training. It has allowed me to strengthen my body and continues to help me be active in the things I enjoy. Over the past 6 years, I have gotten stronger and recovered quickly from surgery, knee pain and broken bones. While surgery was recommended, developing strength in my legs has pretty much eliminated my knee pain. I have also been able to slowly loose weight as I gain muscle. The twice a week short sessions are easy to maintain and all the personal trainers have been great. Encouraging and pushing me to stay fit and active.

In beginning this review of Perfect Workout, I was reminded of my first review posted after about six months at the studio. Strange to think it’s been six years now and I’m enjoying both my time in training and its subsequent positive impact on my fitness as much as, or even more, than ever. I’ve missed blocks of time due to travel or an occasional (unrelated) injury but Perfect Workout has been a constant in the building - and rebuilding - of my fitness. The trainers are an indispensable part of this process. I’ve come to understand a little bit of how the machines and routines work over the years and could do a self-guided tour of the equipment, but I’ve also come to clearly understand how valuable trainer instruction and motivation is for me. I’ve had a number of trainers over the years but for over a year now I’ve worked with Diana out of Del Mar (and occasionally through LaJolla studio). She’s been terrific! She is not shy about letting me know when I’m cheating on form and not getting the most out of the routine. I just want to get a weight up. She wants the lift to properly work the muscle. Hmmm. No more arched back, hunched shoulders, elbows and legs flying out all over. She’s also, though, very encouraging and patient and seems to know better than me when I can do one (or two) more lift(s). I wouldn’t be getting nearly the value from my time and effort without her help.
Hopefully, I can leave another review six years from now as encouraged as I am today!

The Perfect Workout in Del Mar is amazing! The workouts are quick but really effective, which makes them super easy to fit into a busy schedule. My trainer, Emily, is the best. She’s always so positive and encouraging. She makes sure I’m doing everything with the right form and pushes me just enough to keep me challenged. I actually look forward to every session and already feel so much stronger! The staff here is also super helpful and friendly, which makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend Emily and this TPW location!

I’ve been going to the Perfect Workout since 2012. I like the high intensity muscle workout and it has kept me strong. The trainers matter, and Eli Albertson at the Del Mar Studio is excellent, he is effective at personalizing the workout based on my needs and goals. Highly recommend him.

My wife and I have been going to Perfect Workout for about five years. We love the environment (not a gymnasium atmosphere), the short workout time required, and all the individual coaches, particularly Emily and Debra, who are our coaches. Both are professional, but also have great personalities. Some days we just don’t feel like doing it, but we always feel better after a workout!

Before I came to the Perfect Workout, I had lifted weights most of my teen and adult life.
I was skeptical at first , but at the time and being a busy mother with a young children, I needed something more time efficient .
Now, I can happily report that I have done this workout for 18 years - no joke! It has been a game changer for hip and knee issues.
Skiing was a surprise - how wonderful not to have to stop midday because of sore knees! That’s when I knew that this was the best workout I had ever done.
Nothing gets results and strengthens your muscles like the Perfect Workout!

This is an addition to my previous review. I had taken a break from Perfect Workout, but recently returned and was reminded of what I had missed: I like the regularity and brevity of the workout, but especially appreciate the personal attention. My current trainer, Debra, is friendly and knowledgeable, and always attentive to my workout goals, effortlessly adapting or suggesting new exercises to accommodate my age (mid-70's) and physical status. Perfect Workout has really helped me a lot!
My wife has been working out at the Solana Beach Perfect Workout for over five years, with great results: more energy and muscle tone, and improved bone density. She finally persuaded me to give it a try. I'm really pleased with the program! After six months, I feel stronger and have lost some weight. It's hard work for the 30 minutes I work out, but I feel great when I leave. My regular trainer, Ehsan, is excellent, but I've worked with just about everyone, and they're all knowledgeable, patient, and fun, and provide terrific motivation. My wife and I recently returned from days of gorilla trekking in Uganda's Impenetrable Forest, and we easily kept up with hikers half our age. Thank you Perfect Workout!

I've been going to Perfect Workout twice a week for 6 years, and it has changed my life. I'm 69 now, and really have no fear of aging, because I know if I keep it up, I'll continue to have the good results of increased strength and energy. I've seen the same trainer all this time, and she's wonderful, as are all the trainers--smart, dedicated, and committed. The atmosphere is comfortable, and while the workout is very hard, the focus is so intense that the time passes quickly.

I am writing a new review as an update. I'm now 75, and still going to Perfect Workout twice weekly with Debra, who is my excellent, kind, skillful, committed trainer (now manager). I am strong and healthy and I know my years of training at this great place have contributed to my good health and my peace of mind. It's so easy to show up for my 20 minute sessions, and I always feel great (and grateful) afterwards.

I've been training at the Perfect Workout for 2.5 years and cannot recommend it more. I wouldn't push myself the way I do without these trainers. I love that I'm in and out in 30 mins. The staff is friendly and professional; I actually look forward to lifting weights (never thought I'd say that!). And, I definitely see the results of my workouts in terms of improved shape and strength. My Dr suggested I slow train to maintain bone density. I'm glad I did!

My wife and I have been going to The Perfect Workout for about 6 months and have seen excellent results. We were both in decent shape when we started, but the twice a week 20 minute workouts have helped us both greatly improve our strength and muscle tone and reduce fat. The reserved times ensure that we workout consistently, and the minimal time commitment of 20 minutes once or twice a week makes it very doable. I would recommend The Perfect Workout to anyone wishing to get and stay in shape with minimal time commitment.

I give The Perfect Workout a perfect 10! Why? After 6 months, my OLDER (77).. please...NOT" ELDERLY"!!...body has become so much stronger!
AND, because my legs and gluts are stronger, my balance has greatly improved!...which decreases my chances of falling!!!!
Each and every one of the trainers couldn't be NICER, and are very accommodating with changes in workout times.
Every time I finish working out, I feel so much better, and my spirits are greatly improved!
It is, to say the least, a VERY "uplifting" experience!!

The workout center in Solana Beach has certainly lived up to its name for me the past two years. It has been "perfect" in keeping m on target with my strength training regimen and goals while I spend the winter months away from my Midwest hometown. My personal trainer, Debra Bern,has made sure to devise a complementary routine so that I do not lose strength or flexibility while I'm in California. Debra is very professional, extremely knowledgeable about physiology, and a pleasure to work with. She is also very attentive to my weak spots, my neck and knees, during our workouts. The Perfect Workout is the best 20 minutes that I spend on myself! I have workout for many years doing different activities and this is the easiest and most efficient use of my time. I saw and felt results in about a month. My energy level is higher and my I am so much stronger. I am toned and look forward to my sessions. My clothes fit better, and although I was not really trying to lose weight I have lost 6 pounds. I would recommend The Perfect Workout for anyone who wants to feel their BEST, but not spend a lot of time doing it. The trainers are tops in their field and extremely positive. After doing The Perfect Workout I've noticed that I have a lot more energy and a more positive outlook. I've been losing weight and gaining muscle tone. I feel great! Best part is that it's only 20 minutes so I feel like I can definitely fit it into my schedule. I can eat what I like without such drastic consequences. Even better, my appetite has decreased. Normal size portions are always enough to make me feel full. Walking and talking doesn't leave me out of breath. I feel so energetic the days after my workout as well. I saw and felt results quickly which keeps me motivated.

I hate gym work in general, so the Perfect Workout is perfect for me. It takes only 20-30 minutes twice a week and you don't sweat so you can work out in street clothes. Best of all, you get results. You can also chat away with the personable instructors to help the time fly.
