We have participated in classes at The Rise Gym for 3 years now, taking various classes with various coaches.

While my kids will not be joining the Olympics anytime soon (not the goal to begin with), they have grown in way beyond strength. My youngest have gone from not being able to hang to completing monkey bars and winning the long hang competition. My middle has gained skills in listening and pushing himself outside of his comfort zone to master new skills. My oldest found a coach who has the same personality as her and gave her someone to relate and look up to.

Coach Bex was the best coach a mom could ask for their kids to learn from. Coach Jason had a way of explaining a new skill that made it not seem intimidating. Coach Johnny, Coach Alvin, Coach Mia-- they were all great with a huge focus on safety.

Yes the price is high, but for our family it was very worth it.

Great facility for letting your kids burn off energy, become a future US gymnast, or anything in between.

A very nice facility with mostly caring coaches and employees. We really like coaches Bex since she is very engaging and makes the whole hour very enjoyable but definitely structured. The price is a little expensive, but what is not these days

Both of my autistic kids five and four absolutely love this place. It’s hard to get them to go home. The coaches are amazing. The staff is friendly.

Rise Gym is clean and large facility with state of the art equipment. They offer a wide range of different classes such as gymnastics, ninja and cheer. The front desk staff is helpful, friendly and always available to answer questions when we need assistance.

The coaching staff is caring and patient with the kids paired with a positive attitude at all times. My kids really enjoy working with their coaches to learn new skills. Highly recommend this gym!

This gym is NOT worthy of the high cost they charge you! I took my daughter from other well reputed gymnastics in culver city to the Rise gym because our home address changed. My daughter was in a very good skills and motivation level for team level and she got accepted to Rising star level here.
We drove twice a week here for entire year and paying nearly $470 / month for a terrible experience! Her first coach for the first 6 months was not giving any feedback to us… then coach changed and there were on-off situation. The second coach was better but looks like gym leadership team treated her poorly as well. At the end of the year looks like they had their assessment and chose selected students for teams without β€˜0’ feedback to others!!!! My daughter didn’t learn 1 single skill in the whole year, no one was watching her progress and complete waste of her time and motivation 😒 and of course our monthly $470 for the entire year.
This is a BAD gym. At the end when I decided to move my child from here, gym owner didn’t care and my child left crying telling me: Mom, Rise was a terrible experience as they Did NOT help me Rise.

This was unbelievable to say the least. I never imagined anything like this and I certainly never had access to opportunities like this when I was coming up. I am so excited about all of the advancements available to kids today. Everyone seems to be on board with helping kids overcome obstacles, become sociable, productive American citizens. I'm greatful to The Rise Gym for taking part in this effort

Consistently weird about who can attend open gym, which they publicly advertised. Turned experienced people away because it's for "employees and their friends only". Management texted and emailed serious concerns and then never returned my response. Wildly unprofessional. Don't go here.

I have been taking my kids to the Rise Gym for the past year and think its about time I posted a review. First off, the facility is top notch with nice equipment all around and is well maintained / cleaned by the staff. Airflow is good through It was a little warm at the beginning of summer. However, they installed giant evaporator fans that have cooled things down significantly.

My kids are enrolled in Ninja and they consistently have a great time every week. The coaches are great, especially Johnny and Jason, who have done a great job motivating the kids and keeping things fun and lively. Classes are organized and I have noticed that my kid's hand/eye coordination and strength have improved.

The front desk ladies, including Cindy and Debbie, are professional and have always answered all my inquiries and requests promptly to my satisfaction.

All in all, I would highly recommend this business to any parents that would like their kids to participate in organized physical activities.

Don’t waste your time here. As a young black professional, this place did not meet my standards as far as customer service and professionalism goes. Commuting all the way from Downtown Long Beach to come to this place just seemed like a nightmare at times. For one, my daughters coach started off being kind, however, as classes went on she barely even spoke or paid any attention to my daughter while doing the gymnastics routines. She literally looked as if she was not in the mood on several occasions and as mentioned paid my daughter no mind to where my daughter would be standing there waiting for confirmation. Younger children need positive reinforcement, it’s psychology, and with the former coach, my daughter was not getting that. Other experienced instructors are more hands on and a bit more enthusiastic to coach the Shining Stars class. Professionalism at the front desk could be better as well, as my first time coming for class here, I was looked and stared at like I was someone coming from off the street and barely receive a smile or hello. I can definitely pick up bad vibes and tried to ignore it so many times but I just can’t be fake like the staff here. My daughter will be attending a gym that is closer to home and is way more professional as we received a referral to this gym originally. There are a lot of parents who come to the Rise gym and look like their kids enjoy it. It’s a great gym and organized classes but just not for us.

The Goods: Speaking as a former business owner, this place as a BUSINESS checks all boxes. I LOVE the speedy response when I contacted them thru email. I also liked the fact that the person whom I spoke to not only was knowledgeable and eell versed in the programs they offered but also volunteered to give us (me and my family) a tour of one of the classes for the evening. Alot of people are on the fence about committing so their confidence and appeal to their marker was a great driving factor. They have a well lit gym, that's very spacious and has different areas for the different programs they offer and skills sets of each child. They service children of all different ages, shapes, genders sizes and skill level. They are fully staffed and the class sizes ate pretty small (6-8 particularly) . They have a viewing area above and below (on a mega projector downstairs) for parents that don't want to miss a beat. There snacks, beverages, gym equipment, souvenirs and a decent size play area for the kiddies too young to enroll. They have spaces for the kids to place their items. Even if your still on the fence they offer 2 classes as a trial period for you to find out if it's for you.

The Ugly: The part that they automatically bill you is abrasive. And the parking lot being in the back is cool but there's no back entrance so you have to walk back up to the front. Street parking is usually crowded. The parking next door is another option but it's usually crowded too. So it's best to try to find street parking or arrive early enough to get decent parking

Another gym exploiting their staff and students in order to make a quick buck. For the price, it may be wiser to take biweekly privates.

The staff has been kind and helpful since day one. I love that there are so many classes to choose from and that the facility is clean. The coaches keep my 4 year old entertained while simultaneously teaching her the fundamentals. She looks forward to her sessions each week. I'm extremely happy that I chose to bring her here.
