Smart Fit has completely changed my life. That’s not hyperbole; I truly mean it. Before I started Smart Fit 18 months ago, I had resigned myself to a sedentary lifestyle. I turned down invitations from friends for any physical activity so I wouldn’t embarrass myself. My love of travel was curtailed because I couldn’t keep up with my companions. I was pre diabetic, on high blood pressure medication, and extremely uncomfortable in my body. Now, I visit Smart Fit- Cardiff four times a week. I rarely miss my sessions because it’s only 20 to 30 minutes a workout. I love how knowledgeable and personable the trainers are and it’s a wonderfully supportive community they’ve built there. My results have been astounding: my BMI has gone from 29 to 22, my biological age is four years younger than my actual age, and most importantly, I feel fantastic! I’m back to activities that I gave up years ago, like skiing. I say “YES” to any opportunity without hesitation; I don’t have to even think about whether I can physically handle it because of course I can! I have a new lease on life and I give all my thanks to Smart Fit for it.

I have had limited success with normal gyms. I’ve doubled my strength and improved my cardio across all areas in the 18 months since I’ve joined Smart Fit. The concentric / eccentric motions (meaning you push and resist with every exercise) are very demanding and effective so you can go as hard or easy as you’re up for. The AI based technology lets you track your progress and compare against previous workouts. Shorter workouts, awesome trainers and flexible scheduling and cancellations through the app are perfect for busy schedules. Highly recommend!

I have been consistently training at the Smart Fit Method in Cardiff for the past six months. My routine is to go three times a week for a hour, during which I do two 20-30 min workouts. I ride the bike with periods of sprints at reduced oxygen percentage, combined with either a strength workout with adaptive resistance or the cold high intensity interval training. I feel the strongest I’ve ever been. I have muscles I have never seen on myself before! I get a body composition scan and VO2 max testing every few months, so I can see my progress. In the past three months, I was able to increase my VO2 max by 19 points and take 10 years off of my biological age. I feel more fit now training 3 hours a week than when I was training for a Half Ironman race a decade ago, which required two separate training sessions with different sports each day for six months. Incredible! The staff at The SmartFit Cardiff is very knowledgeable and will adjust the training protocol to each individual’s goals. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to train here!

I've tried everything. F45, Orange Theory, Cross Fit, and the good old gym. I made no real measurable progress with any of these so I tried out SmartFit to break through plateau's. The results have been incredible and measurable. The machines keep track of all your data so that it can be used to make adjustments to constantly improve your health and strength. Plus it's a fast and efficient work out so it frees up time to enjoy outdoor activities and quality time with the family. Not to mention the movements minimize risk of injury which is a huge problem when I was doing cross fit. Highly recommend giving it a try to see the results for yourself.

This is not your everyday typical gym. There's no waiting for machines that are drenched in sweat or dirty.

They also have machines I've never seen at any other place. All of the machines adapt to me.

Personally, I don't exercise in order to be entertained. Exercise is a means to an end. I want to be strong and healthy so I can do the things that are important to bme and be available to the people that are important to me. This is why I love the quick, efficient, and measurable workouts.

I had a great experience with The Smart Fit method in Cardiff. The facilities are pleasant and have a wonderful ocean view, the trainers are professional, super helpful and very nice people. The gym was instrumental in my recovery from a rotator cuff tear, as the equipment is safe and makes it easy to gradually strengthen your muscles. I particular enjoy the biocharger and the pulse bed and I believe they helped with my recovery as well.

This is a gym without the grunting and noise. There are basically three different pieces of equipment and after using each for 20 minutes once a week you are done for the week. There is lots of science behind the equipment but I don’t understand it, so I’ll leave that to smarter people than me. I am dealing with injuries and you cannot hurt yourself using this equipment. The staff is friendly and readily available to answer questions and correct your form. The equipment is cleaned immediately after use. I love it!!

I have been going to the Smart Fit Method since 8/28/21. I have acheived more at the Smart Fit Method than I could possibly do on my own. I started out at 217.8 lbs and I am currently at 194 lbs.

I do not like big gyms, and I like that I can use the Smart Fit Method App to schedule gym time with a Personal Trainer to use the 3 machines provided each week: Cold HIIT, Smart Ride, Smart Big 5.

The staff is super knowledgeble and friendly and really push to help you get through each workout. Its different than an average 24 hour fitness, they have machines that are built for athletes and make you feel like you are in the mind set of conquering your goals because they have computer screens infront of each machine that monitor your progress so you can compare your results each time.

I have been going to Smart Fit for 4 weeks. I actually cannot wait to go to each of my 3 weekly work outs!! In just the 1st use of the Vasper Cold HIIT I experienced miraculous pain relief in my torn meniscus after living with 2+ years of pain. I have done this particular machine 4 times now and after the last workout I am walking up the stairs with no pain in my knee after so much daily suffering….and that’s actually just the side benefit. As I am turning 55 this year I am doing this for me and loving every single session. The trainers are beyond amazing and are always super helpful and happy to see you and cheer you on in your successes. The owners truly care about their clients and bringing only the latest and greatest in scientifically proven equipment & methods to only offer the most efficient and productive workouts available. I’ve been working out with them for 3 weeks. The staff is always upbeat and very supportive. This is important as the machines I’m using are new to me. I don’t want to injure myself! It’s wonderful to just work out 3 times a week. Yes it’s intense and hard work. But anyone can hang in there for 30 minutes! I’m pleased because it includes upper body work. I already walk 3 times per week, and do Pilates. I’ve done this for years. But the Smart Fit Method is covering muscles that I wasn’t covering! I (reluctantly) started The Smart Fit Method about 4 weeks ago. I was looking for a structured program instead of the usual go to the gym routine. I felt some anxiety because the concept & equipment were not familiar. I almost chickened out. I'm so happy I didn't!!
The two instructors I've had, Mina and Connor, are just wonderful. They are so knowledgeable, and so easy to work with. The atmosphere they've created completely took away my nervousness. No matter what stage of life you're in, what size you are, you feel like you belong. They are respectful, helpful and so much fun. Mina also adds so much happy energy to the facility. They are there for you 100% with encouragement & explaining everything.
The machines track your progress week to week & its so rewarding to see your progress!
I've gone from reluctance, to looking forward to my next appt. For me, the "making an appt" as well as paying in advance keeps me on track. I feel so much better already! It's motivated me to add in other activities in my life.
I would encourage anyone to go in, find out about the program, have a demo of the machines & hear the science and philosophy behind it.....then give it 6 weeks to try out ! You'll be hooked !
