The Studio (MDR) brings the intensity of fitness guru Sebastien Lagree Method workout. The Lagree Method workout is a total-body program that melds together elements of Pilates, cardio training and weight-bearing activity to create a revolutionary, one-of-a-kind exercise program. The workout is done on state-of-the-art Megaformers, which provide constant resistance and infinitely more exercise options than a traditional reformer, allowing the body to shift quickly and smoothly from one exercise to another while increasing the heart rate and getting the blood pumping. The Megaformer attacks each and every muscle in a concentrated and focused manner to sculpt strong, powerful and lean bodies in a safe and measured way.

Such great energy from our instructor Dorothy and was running around providing support and adjustments as needed. Really sweet and provided examples of how to do the moves for the class as many of us were still getting used to the moves/cues.

Today was my very first time taking a Pilates class. Megan was amazing! She was super welcoming and stepped in to assist whenever needed. The receptionists were awesome too and the place was so clean and vibrant. I signed up right after class for more!

Best lagree studio in the country!!!! My fav instructors are prima, Celina, Justin, Jodi, Dana, and fawn. Always feel challenged but ok to also take modifications. Highly recommend and free parking in the garage.

I have taken 150+ classes at MDR and lagree pilates has been amazing for my mental and physical health. Some instructors are better at reminding you which muscles you should be working on during a move but all of them are really well trained! Justin is my favorite all time, I hope he is the one training the instructors now. My favorite location is Culver City, the lay out is conducive to a good workout with lots of lockers and room to talk to the staff before and after. The summer challenges are fun and help you step up and get results.

My best been coming to this studio for over 2 years and all i can say is i look forward to these 45 minutes everyday! Not only is the class always challenging and exciting, but you can tell the instructors are very well educated in lagree and kinesiology. I always feel safe and supported when in class especially with Samarah and Jodi!! Thanks for keeping me strong!

This review is long overdue. I've been coming to studio MDR for the past 3 years in order to stay fit after completing physical therapy for 3 hip surgeries. It was honestly the best decision I've ever made! The instructors at Studio MDR are so kind and knowledgeable about body mechanics. Unlike other studios I've tried, they won't shame nor guilt you for taking a modification. It's probably why I've been able to starve off another surgery for so long!

I was dealing with stiffness and discomfort in my body after many years of bodybuilding-style weight training but Studio MDR has helped me regain joint mobility, stability, and flexibility, all while preserving my physique and even enhancing my strength and muscle development.
Studio MDR is a great place to start or continue your fitness journey! All locations maintain a clean, friendly, and welcoming environment. I personally prefer Studio MDR Culver due to its proximity and the expertise of Celina, an amazing and knowledgeable instructor!
I enjoy the overall atmosphere and the challenging, yet rewarding, approach to training here.

I have been going to The Studio (MDR) for about a year now and cannot say enough good things. Some of the hardest workouts I have ever done, but always in a supportive environment. The instructors are all fantastic - friendly but also motivating. I have also benefitted from the amazing mental benefits of these classes by showing myself that I’m capable of more than I thought I could do. Would recommend everyone check them out, regardless of where you are in your fitness journey.

I was intimidated because I have never taken a Pilates class, but Fawn was very kind and inviting in the intro class. Megan demoed all the moves on the reformer and they both came around with tips and adjustments if you needed them. The front of house was also very sweet and made everything easy!

I started going to Studio MDR earlier this year and have been hooked since! I feel so much stronger than when I started. It can be intimidating at first but the instructors are all so helpful, kind, and welcoming - I was really nervous coming into a new studio with zero experience in Pilates or Lagree, but they made me feel super comfortable and helped me nail down my form and gain confidence with the moves. The essentials class is really helpful, I would highly recommend starting there for any beginner. I also appreciate that there are lots of class times to choose from so I can always find something that fits my schedule (but try to book in advance! Classes fill up especially during high demand hours such as before/after the regular work day).
Overall this is a really great workout with supportive staff and a fun environment!

Clean space, friendly instructors and diverse class times. The only downside is modifications aren’t always offered/explained and bad forms aren’t always corrected which can lead to injury. Because of this, I’ve since switched to 1 on 1 Pilates instead but this is a great studio for lagree.
Highly recommend attending the beginners class to learn at a slower pace or to take a private lesson first. The actual class is fast paced. During peak times, the instructor will not be able to help you with your form all the time (not their fault at all, it’s just how group classes are because they have to teach the class, time all the workouts, then find time to correct some obvious form mistakes they see). Listen to your body and you’ll have lot of fun here!

Haley is the absolute best! She makes amazing playlists and her classes have the best tempo. I’m 4 months pregnant and just getting back into classes. She provided modifications without missing a beat and was super encouraging throughout the whole class. Always love taking her classes!

Truly my favorite Pilates studio, and I've been to many around OC and LA. Every instructor that I've taken is wonderful, they've curated a great atmosphere at all of their studios.
I highly recommend it if you're looking for a new studio or a new workout :) Fawn, Samarah, Prima, Celina, Jodi, Alexis, I'm missing so many great instructors but they're all amazing!

I brought my husband with me and he is SORE today! He's a gym rat and just lifts weights, so he thought he'd have it easy LOL. The way pilates targets the abs is something he really needed.

Super cute, clean studio. Love the pink theme. Free parking in the structure. Prima was the instructor, super helpful, great attitude. Front staff was friendly upon arriving, very helpful. All was great until the end when I felt some attitude because I was using FitReserve. The comment was first made about ClassPass. It’s unfortunate to sour the experience at the end because of a service that is offered by the studio. It still gets 5 stars because the overall experience and workout was excellent.

I’ve taken 250 classes at Studio (MDR) and truly enjoyed and been challenged every single class! I've left feeling physically and mentally stronger and lighter! Their workout melts fat away and sculpts lean muscle throughout your body. I love The Studio MDR, the community they've cultivated, their curriculum and teachers! They have so many class times throughout their 4 studios that it's always easy to find a time that works for your schedule. All studios are very clean and I think they have the best megaformers. It's apparent that everyone who works there truly cares about their clients. I highly recommend!

I don’t typically take the time to write reviews, but my experience at Studio MDR is worth sharing.
I moved here from the Midwest and was looking for a workout where I could feel strong, both mentally and physically. I called and spoke to one of the kindest people who explained everything in great detail.
Based on the reviews and call with her, I signed up for the month unlimited with great excitement. My first class was great but the moves aren’t easy and you have to be patient.
My third class was at one of the outdoor locations and due to personal things going on in my life, I got frustrated and walked out of class. The women working the desk were so kind and concerned. Initially I was ready to give up until the owner, Lisa took time out of her Sunday to contact me personally. She was prepared to give me a full refund but her sincerity along with motivation made me want to keep going.
This place is my favorite part of my day and I highly recommend taking Krystal or Yumi’s class when beginning. Everyone is great once you get the hang of things, but these two really take their time to explain the moves.
If you’re looking for a place to grow both mentally and physically, don’t hesitate to sign up. @StudioMDR, thank you for the light you have brought to my life along with the instructors <3

This facility is so clean staff is friendly. The workouts are definitely a challenge,I found it to be a bit difficult being my first class but the instructor was amazing. She really work with me to teach me how to posture and how to get things done. This work out is definitely a sweat and works all of you muscles . The soreness of your body tell you, you definitely had a great work out. Definitely recommend this place if that’s what your looking for, a challenge and change in your life.
