About the Club

The Studio (MDR) brings the intensity of fitness guru Sebastien Lagree Method workout. The Lagree Method workout is a total-body program that melds together elements of Pilates, cardio training and weight-bearing activity to create a revolutionary, one-of-a-kind exercise program. The workout is done on state-of-the-art Megaformers, which provide constant resistance and infinitely more exercise options than a traditional reformer, allowing the body to shift quickly and smoothly from one exercise to another while increasing the heart rate and getting the blood pumping. The Megaformer attacks each and every muscle in a concentrated and focused manner to sculpt strong, powerful and lean bodies in a safe and measured way.

Took my first class today and absolutely loved it! The instructors were super helpful and nice and guided me through out the whole class by correcting my form, making sure I was doing ok. I guarantee you that you will feel every part of your muscles working. 10/10 recommend 🫢🏼

I highly recommend Studio MDR! The instructors are truly top-notch, and the staff have made me feel genuinely welcomed. The studios are always clean, beautiful, and such a pleasure to work out in.

With my busy work schedule, I really appreciate the wide selection of classes offered throughout the week and on weekends. I just (attempted) to take a class at MDR East with Charley (an instructor my gf recommended) I got stuck with Yumi, a sub.

This was the worst class I've ever taken. I take Pilates classes very frequently. There was no music. It was very hard to understand the instructor (Yumi). Obviously, these are intricate movements that require quick thorough description to work through each exercise quickly.

It was alllllll talking and very hard to understand . No motivating music. It was actually such a headache. I have the class 15 minutes before I just couldn't take it.

I had booked through class pass, I know their policy is that the studios NEED to inform you of changes to instructors. I spoke to a woman at the front desk named Tracy. Tracy told me they were informed since "Tuesday 3/4, that Charley was out of town for the week." I said, well, if that were the case. You should inform patrons. So they can decide to keep reservation or not. I told her I would be contesting the class on Class pass, since policy wasn't upheld.

I walked out of class and waited for my friend to finish class. Who was inside. I reached out to customer service with class pass, who informed me -- my reservation was changed to "No show." (Which incurs a FEE). I walked in, to Tracy's surprise, I was still at studio.

I asked did you change my reservation from "checked in" to "no show"? Because last I check- I showed. Tried sub. Did not like sub. And left. That is not a no show. She tried to agree with me that IT WAS A NO SHOW. (No show's incur fees, $20+)

I don't know what kind of customer service this is. But I've been a patron of MDR (west) and never had an issue like this. Tracy was very disrespectful. She obviously should not be in a customer service role. Out of principle, she was dishonest- I did SHOW. And took no accountability for not informing of a sub.

Really disappointed with this experience. Yumi as an instructor. Tracy as front desk. All around. Really bad. Won't be returning.

Now due to Tracy's dishonest it's been escalated in ClassPass' customer service team as well.

I’ve been coming here for a couple of months, and I am totally seeing the results of that. I’m seeing definition and toning in my body and every instructor I’ve had has been fantastic. I also really like the pace of the classes. In 45 mins you’ll definitely break a sweat and get the shakes. I’ve replaced going to the gym with these classes and I couldn't be happier!

This is my 11th year taking pilates classes at TheStudioMDR. I typically do four classes a week with fabulous instructors. Those highly trained instructors incrementally build your core strength and endurance as they ensure your form, technique, and posture becomes perfected. Wonderful studio, I would highly recommend it.

This review is based purely on the customer service. I did not bring socks as many other megaformer studios do not require them. They told me I need to have them or can’t take the class so I went to purchase them. Except they were $20. I refused to pay that for a pair of socks I have at home and they did not let me take the class. Ridiculous.

Wow, what a great class. We were in town visiting from the Bay Area and wanted to try The Studio. I’m a serious tennis player and have done a good handful of Pilates and Lagree classes so can confidently say I’m fairly athletic and in decent shape, but Erin’s class was tougher than others I’ve taken and appropriately challenging. Erin is a fantastic instructor - she had great energy, solid playlist, great transitions and clear instructions. She even came around and corrected my form several times throughout. I rarely sweat during Pilates or Lagree, but I was drenched after Erin’s class and my legs were trembling. This was a very satisfying experience and I would 100% come back again. Next time I will also bring friends and family! This was the perfect post-Thanksgiving workout. Thanks Erin!

I love this studio! All the instructors are fantastic. The classes kick butt. The energy of the studio, clear directions, and encouragement of the instructors will push you through, and you will be able to do much more than you think you can. I'm in love! I've been to all their locations, but personally prefer the EAST LOCATION. My favorite instructors are Yumi and Melissa. They are very motivating, extremely personable and always adjust me when my form is bad. Melissa is really funny during class. I appreciate the humor she adds to the class (especially when I feel like I'm dying and she says something funny, then at least I feel like i'm dying with a smile on my face) and I really enjoy Yumi's encouragement. Yumi is such a sweatheart and I can tell she really cares about what she does. My first class was with Judy at the West location in the essentials class and she motivated me to keep at it, even though it was a very difficult workout. Judy is a new instructor and I think she's only teaching the essentials class but I hope she starts teaching the Total Body classes soon so I can have another class with her. Journey is also really great, I appreciate her cute comments in the middle of class when you feel like you're going to die. It puts a smile to my face. I also want to mention how great the receptionists are, especially Olga. They always greet me by name and I really appreciate that, it adds a nice touch to the studio.

I've been coming here for about three months and I can't get enough of this place. I've gotten a lot stronger and i'm getting better (even though I still have to do modifications at times). I try coming 3-4 times a week, and trust me you will need your rest days. I'm always sore and it's kinda weird but I've gotten used to it and I like being sore.

If you're hesitant to join I recommend signing up for one week or two (its only $39/69). And if you go and find the first workout too difficult, give it at least another try or two before deciding if you want to join. I've gone to two other pilates type studios and I have to say this is my favorite, I find other studios instructors aren't as great and don't adjust students form. It is expensive but soooo worth it.
