About the Club

The Studio (MDR) brings the intensity of the Lagree Fitness workout to Manhattan Beach, Marina Del Rey, Culver City, and Playa Vista. This is a total-body program that melds together elements of Pilates, cardio training, and weight-bearing activity to create a revolutionary, one-of-a-kind exercise program. The workout, which is class-based is done on state-of-the-art Megaformers that provide constant resistance, allowing the body to shift quickly and smoothly from one exercise to another which increases the heart rate to get the blood pumping. The Megaformer works each and every muscle in a focused manner to sculpt strong, powerful, and lean bodies in a safe and measured way with little to no impact on the joints.

Victoria was AWESOME! She was very personable, great energy for a 5am class. She took her time demonstrating the movements, making it very beginner friendly. She also instructed ways to modify the exercise, if you would like to make it more challenging or to ease up. Loved the jokes and light-hearted spirit, while also getting a great workout. Kudos to Victoria :)

This is a great studio for Lagree! The instructors are phenomenal! They are very attentive and never hesitate to fix my form whenever I am doing something incorrectly. I never feel like I am lost or ignored. I always feel like I am in good hands. Also, the exercises always feel fun and challenging. I highly recommend coming here.

The Studio (MDR) has transformed my relationship with physical activity, and my body overall. Consistently taking these classes in this supportive community has made me both physically and mentally stronger. I’ve been coming here regularly since March 2023 and by far this is the most consistent and excited I’ve been in prioritizing physical exercise. The Studio (MDR) is my favorite place to work out, and the Manhattan Beach location is fantastic (parking is the easiest here among all the studios). The routines are truly total body, varied, efficient, challenging and fun. The instructors are excellent across the board, as are all the support staff. I also love how this organization gives back to the community by organizing donations to those affected by the LA fires, as well as other initiatives. It’s a nurturing place where you feel like family and also get your butt kicked in the best possible way. Each class offers opportunities to push past your limits safely, grow, or rehabilitate, wherever you are in your journey.

I 100% recommend the studio MDR if you’re looking for a fun way to get moving! Everyone at the front desk is super friendly, and the instructors are just as welcoming. Before starting the introductory class, they introduced themselves and asked if anyone had any conditions they should know about to help keep everyone safe from injuries.

The essential classes have a great pace—nothing feels rushed, and I really love how they offer modifications. If you're considering joining the classes, I definitely recommend trying out the essentials with Alexis, Erin, and Dany. They’re all so supportive and always cheering you on while keeping an eye on your form. And now that I’ve started the Total Body classes, Simoane has quickly become my favorite instructor!

The Studio (MDR) workout is unparalleled, and the Manhattan Beach and Playa Vista locations are my most frequented. From the warm, welcoming front desk staff to the amazing instructors (shoutout Alexis, Dana, Stephanie, etc, Jodi, Prima, Charley, the list goes on....) to the attentive management who recently installed fans to this location, the environment and team is supportive and personable. I have noticed significant strength and endurance improvements at MDR, especially in the core and legs, since my first Intro class with Jodi and Prima. Since then I have taken beginner classes, the signature total body class, and specialty and advanced classes like Arms and Abs with Stephanie. While the leveled classes and intensities differ, the same spectacular workout that prioritizes form, safety, and efficiency can be found at all studios. I especially like that you get the same workout each day in the popular Total Body class, no matter which studio or class time you attend.

This was my first Lagree class and I had a great experience! First and foremost GET GRIP SOCKS! They have them for purchase in-studio as well but they are required for class.
Check-In:
The Front Desk staff were very welcoming and pre-filled out my waiver to ensure I'd have enough time to be shown around the studio and introduced to my instructor.
Amenities:
Lockers with codes, water refill stations, 2 single person restrooms, and a vanity area with blow dryers. No showers.
Class:
I took the (MDR) Essentials (Beginner Friendly) class with Dani, which is one above the Intro class. What makes it a beginner friendly (not exclusive) class is a focus on form and cueing. The music is turned down slightly and there is a dedicated assistant that both demonstrates the moves and walks around the class to help with adjustments. Sophia and Dani worked well together to ensure we had our moves down, and were supportive when it was clear we were shaking and working hard.
Parking:
Easy parking shared with surrounding businesses.

Overall, I had a great time and look forward to going again!

Clean studio and the friendliest people. Great classes for beginners and the more advanced. I love their online booking app as well, making it super easy to schedule classes in advance. I couldn’t recommend this studio more. I always look forward to the playlists and workouts, and I especially love the themed classes like John Summit. The instructors are always paying super close attention to everyone to ensure you’re doing the appropriate moves, while not making you feel uncomfortable if you need to adjust. I always feel safe and encouraged—overall a very positive/uplifting environment that everyone can enjoy no matter what your fitness journey is.
