This review is not written lightly. I believe in wellness work, and I believe trauma healing should be handled with care, professionalism, and confidentiality. The concept of this space could be beautiful, but the execution and leadership do not reflect the values of integrity, safety, or emotional responsibility.

I am sharing this based on my direct experience as both a client and a participant in training programs at this facility.

In the beginning this place seemed magical and I thought I had found a place I could heal and grow, but as I paid attention, I realized this environment was not as it appeared and it did not felt safe, professional, or supportive.

I personally witnessed frequent negative conversations about clients and staff the moment they walked out the door. This included making fun of people’s personal struggles and discussing private information that was shared in sessions. In my opinion, this alone disqualifies the space from being advertised as a place of healing.

The owner advertises talk therapy services and presents herself as a provider of talk therapy. However, after hearing her discuss confidential information I checked the state licensing database, she is not a licensed therapist, nor has she ever been. Anyone considering trauma related services should be aware of this and verify credentials for their own protection. Working with trauma without training or licensure can be emotionally harmful.

I also completed one of the high-cost certification programs offered here. The program price was in the thousands, but the training was disorganized, lacked structure, and did not include several of the subjects promised. I was looking at the certifications she has on her wall, she doesn't have one in the modality she was certifying. I had to seek additional formal education elsewhere because what was provided did not meet a professional standard. In my experience, the program over-promised and under-delivered by a wide margin.

Additionally, I have seen what happens when someone expresses concerns or disagrees with the owner. The response is not discussion or resolution it is blame, gossip, and character attacks. I have seen reputations damaged this way, which is one reason I hesitated to speak up and am using an alias.

The Sweetest Little Life is such a gift to be in the town of Auburn. I happened to stumble upon the wellness center going to Riebes Auto and thought …I need to check this place out. All I can say is how blessed I was ! I was very impressed and so I signed up to participate in my first sound bath. What a beautiful experience. I was going through an incredible emotional time as well as some physical stress. The 1st experience was phenomenal…I had an experience that was super relaxing and left me in awe , clear headed, and deeply refreshed and renewed in my heart ♥️. I felt I could tackle the world again. The energy I gained from the sound bath renewed my energy flow. The studio is clean and has an amazing ambiance.
Courtney was great !She is easy to talk with , informative, attentive ,and compassionate. She adds special touches to the experience with her added “magic” and creative energy…to go the extra mile. Each sound bath is uniquely crafted and meaningful.
There are so many services at the wellness center. I encourage everyone to come check them out. I am very blessed and fortunate to be part of the SLL on my healing journey.
Like the mantra of the studio states,”May this practice heal and strengthen my mind and my body”, it has certainly helped me.
Thank you Courtney and SLL staff for all my healing ❤️‍🩹 while continuing this journey with you.

Sweetest Little Life is a pillar in the Auburn community for healing, community and self care! If you have not stopped in to be transformed, you are seriously missing out! If you are in need of a quiet moment to unwind from a long work week-check out the amazing sound class to do just that! And the little alchemist class for children is amazing! Crafts, yoga, dance and emotional support working through those big feelings that children are trying to navigate as they grow! Courtney and the fantastic team there are truly something special. Go see for your self and I have no doubt you will be glad you did!

The sweetest little life is a magical place! I first started going for the sound baths and yoga classes. I had never done a sound bath before this one. It’s an amazing experience, but hard to describe. All of the teachers are very welcoming and supportive. There are classes for all levels and interests. After I had been going for about 6 months I decided to try the NSRS therapy with Courtney because of severe pain in my hip and tightness in my hamstrings. She has helped me so much! She goes above and beyond to help me feel comfortable and takes her time even if the session runs a little over. I feel like I’m getting a massage, red light therapy, physical therapist and counselor in one. It’s helped me both physically and emotionally. It truly has been a life changing process!

There’s a reason that most of the positive reviews here are from over a year ago. There’s also a reason that most of them haven’t been corrected… people are literally afraid of the owner because she has tried to damage the reputations of several formerly frequent customers and employees.

I used to love this place and benefited from some of the healing services and classes. I forgave the fact that, like another reviewer said, they offer (and sometimes seem to push) kratom and misinform customers about it. I wanted to believe that the owner was misinformed herself, especially when I heard her tell a customer “this form of kava we carry is not bad for your liver”.

But the more time I spent here the more I began to realize that it’s an incredibly toxic environment.

Say anything the owner doesn’t like, and she’ll spread gossip and false jnformation about you. I’ve seen this happen to several former frequent customers and employees. She’ll straight up try to destroy your reputation.

She isn’t a licensed (or even trained) psychologist or acupuncturist, even though she has offered these services.

If you really benefit from her services, keep getting them, but keep your emotional distance.

If you’re looking for a new healer, yoga studio, or sound bath space, there are several other, safer options in the area. Try one of them.

I don’t even have words to describe how much I love and admire Courtney and this entire business she’s created. It’s been amazing watching her grow from the small space to this entire wellness studio. The whole wellness center is my dream and I wish I could live there and do all the services. Courtney has a beautiful heart and it radiates into all of the care she gives you during treatments. Every time I have something done I leave there feeling more calm and peace than when I walked in. It’s a blessing to know her.

We found this wonderful place and it's amazing staff while celebrating our anniversary.
We did a couples package of NSRS. I am unable to explain briefly, but it was so bonding and helpful to each of us as individuals at the same time. We have never had any of these types of therapies in our lives. Some I have heard of and others not. We were so tired and relaxed like jello after our session, we decided to come back the next day for the rest of of Wellness package we purchased. We were give tea & a drink both days. Plus some delicious snacks during our Detox foot bath. We actually started our day by attending Yoga Church on Sunday morning. Wow, taking care of your body & spirt is a new church concept to me!
After the class, we began by braving our 1st cold plunge & then 30 minutes in the infrared sauna. Then the foot detox, and last we chilled out on the salt cave. I was so surprised by how this was set up. There are couches & swings. But, the floor is like a sandbox filled with pink salt. I got down & played like I was at a beach, after a short nap. I could feel something while inside, but after was surprisingly helpful. I was breathing so clear that night and didn't get stuffed up, like I normally do.
Last, Cortney did some work on my intestines. And without being too descriptive, I am still feeling the effects days later!
The staff warned us that we may feel tired and possibly flu like because of all the detoxification we did. But, for 2 days other than being really tired at the end of the day. I did not experience my chronic pain, which was almost unbelievable, but true. I have been home and back to some stress, so just today I feel a little fatigued & some minor pains. But, overall I have to thank each and everyone of them for the beautiful physical & emotional healing.
I am in Elk Grove area, but will be making the drive up for more treatment. The package we did was an experience we will never forget & will always be grateful for.
But, opening my eyes and heart this muti- modality bodywork is priceless. I admit I wouldn't have been ready or accepting of trying this in my past. But, I am anxious to return to have them guide me to better health. I have been ill with Autoimmune disorders for over 20 years that western medicine has done almost nothing that has helped me.
I will update my review after I can start going back.
Thanks again to everyone who made our time there so special❣️

I had high hopes for The Sweetest Little Life Wellness Center, but I’m deeply concerned about the Elixir Bar and its lack of transparency regarding ingredients. Many of the drinks contain “Golden Glow,” which contains kratom, a substance that is highly addictive and notoriously difficult to detox from.

When I brought my concerns to the owner, she dismissed them, asking me to stop “spreading fear” on her page. This response is not only dismissive but shows a troubling lack of accountability for the potential dangers of kratom.

The owner claims the kratom she uses is different from what is sold in smoke shops, but this is simply not true. The kratom used here is the same brand found at local smoke shops. Kratom is commonly referred to as “gas station heroin,” and is known for its dangerous side effects, including dependency, withdrawal symptoms, and other adverse health risks.

To make matters worse, there’s no mention on the menu that kratom is an ingredient in the drinks. This is deceptive marketing and could put unsuspecting customers at serious risk, especially those who are unaware of the substance’s potential dangers.

Kratom’s risks are well-documented, and the lack of transparency combined with the owner’s unwillingness to engage in a responsible conversation about its dangers is unacceptable. Wellness should prioritize safety and informed choices—this establishment fails on both fronts.

I cannot recommend The Sweetest Little Life Wellness Center until transparency and responsibility are taken seriously.

I am so grateful to Courtney for creating this beautiful healing center. I have been coming here for a few months now about two times per week to help heal my health issues. I highly recommend her NSRS sessions which I get done once per week. I also do the infrared sauna, foot detox and salt cave. I also see a Regenerative Practitioner here, Justin, who is helping me tremendously. Courtney and her staff are kind and loving and want to see clients get back to normal! This place is also very family-friendly. I want to try their Friday night sound baths and yoga. Namaste Courtney for all your love and support.

I found Courtney at The Sweetest Little Life almost a year and a half ago and my experience has been nothing short of life changing. From the customized therapy and dedicated support, to the life style changes, supplements, and body reconditioning, I feel that I have found a place that truly feels like a safe and welcoming space to heal both mind and body. I have referred several friends that have been just as pleased. I can not speak more highly of a person or place.

I love this place. Courtney is so awesome and magical. I started off with some reiki work with her, Which led to me wanting to learn more about myself and getting off the hamster wheel that I have been living on. I have been to therapist in the past and AA as well. But that wasn’t my thing. I feel like I have gotten more from her than any of that other stuff. She helped me to become teachable and she is totally helping me to change my life. I’m doing things that I never thought I was capable of. I’m so grateful that i have found her and the sweetest little life crew. Thanks you Chad

I'm so happy I found the Sweetest Little Life studio. I was away from yoga and pilates for a couple of years due to a broken bone and closures caused by the pandemic. Finding a new studio with a schedule to accommodate my needs felt like a daunting task. Courtney is a skilled and knowledgeable instructor. She is kind and in tune with the needs of her students. She mixes up the poses so no class is exactly the same, but there is always a new challenge. There are many classes to choose from, plus Courtney offers many other services at her studio. There is something for everyone and every need. I leave class feeling energized yet relaxed. I am feeling stronger and more flexible once again. Courtney Hanson has been giving me private yoga instruction for a year now. I have had 27 orthopedic surgeries, including a partial fusion of my left hand and 8 surgeries on my right knee.. I had limited range of motion in that hand and knee along with arthritis pain in my right wrist. Courtney has done amazing work with me. I can do poses such as downward facing dog, I'm able to stay in a pushup position. My range of motion in my wrist and knee have improved significantly. My whole body is more flexible. I highly recommend her.

All my life, I’ve struggled to find a therapist I actually connected with and could commit to for the long term. I never felt like I could be honest or that they were truly there for me, so eventually I would just stop going. Then I met Courtney. She creates such a safe and inclusive environment with absolutely no judgement whatsoever. With her help, I am now able to really uncover my feelings and deal with them in the most supportive and healthy way. Courtney is one of those people who just lights up the room and you automatically feel safe. She has truly helped to change my life for the better, and I could not begin to express my level of gratitude towards her. I’ve never recommended therapists or healers to anyone, but I full heartedly recommend Courtney to anyone who needs a hand untangling their thoughts or has any healing needs whatsoever. Thank you, Courtney, for all that you do for the people who are lucky enough to cross your path.
