I visited this studio while on vacation in LA and was searching for a space that felt like the gentle, mindful studios I’m used to back home. A lot of places I researched were very fitness-focused, so finding this studio was such a breath of fresh air.
It was a little challenging to locate at first, but once I stepped inside, everything felt worth it. The staff at the front desk were so warm and welcoming. They chatted with me while I waited for class to start and even gave me great local recommendations to explore during my trip. The vibe of the space is grounded, soft, and genuinely inviting. The natural light that pours into the studio is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in a yoga space.
My instructor was friendly and intentional, encouraging connection with the breath and with myself rather than rushing through poses. It was exactly the kind of mindfulness and movement I had been craving. If I lived nearby, I would absolutely come back regularly and get more involved. Such a beautiful, calming studio. I’m so glad I found it.

Each session feels like a special treat. Tree Yoga offers a practical space with variety in offerings to drop-in for ~ generative ~ sessions for mind/body connection.
The atmosphere is ~ generative ~ for tuning into a fun creative exploration for individual and collective mind/body connection while also offering the opportunity to retreat for focus and cultivation.
The venues facility is incredible, parking is good, and the amenities are great.

🌳 The Tree is the place to Be. I showed up for a book launch and embarked on their 200hr Yoga Teacher Training the next month. pure alchemy ✨
teachers are highly talented, interesting, and inclusive people. there’s an abundance of classes and unique workshops, incluso hay clases en español.
studio feels like home with exposed brick and history. open, airy, and cared for — plus the amenities and set ups (mats, props, etc.) are top tier. plenty of outdoor space to chill as well.
I could say much more but you’ll have to discover for yourself. tap in with this gem 💎

It had been years since I’d been to a formal yoga session and I’m so happy to have returned. Just the type of movement and meditation I needed for my body that’s been mostly sedentary for so long now.

I did my first ever yoga class with Joey Espinoza-Hernandez at the Tree Yoga Cooperative and it was amazing! Joey curated a space that was both challenging and inviting; and it helped that their playlist was fire! The space is also easy to access in terms of public transit -- it was just a short walk from the 108 bus line stop :-) Strongly recommend to anyone and everyone!

Just completed my 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training here. Had the best time connecting with other like minded beings working on themselves and being open & courageous to learn and try something new. The material and the way it was presented made the process of learning so much more practical and joyful. Not to say you won't be challenged and feel uncomfortable, but that's precisely the point where growth happens. And for me the growth was exponential and life changing.
Also, the yoga classes and workshops they offer consistently throughout the year make this place a wonderful source holistic wellness and connection with community. I truly love this space with all my heart!
Thank you The Tree Yoga Coop!

I am so glad I found tree yoga!! I found them through ClassPass. When I got to the studio, I knew immediately I would be joining as a member. I can honestly say this it’s one of the best yoga experiences I’ve ever had. The studio itself is clean, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed—just walking in makes you feel more relaxed. There’s plants everywhere!!
The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned yogi, they do a great job of offering modifications and pushing you just enough without making anything feel overwhelming. I highly recommend coming to a class & joining the tree yoga studio

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT HERE. Black and Brown women owned studio. The community here is amazing. Everyone is friendly, nice, and welcoming. If you live in LA especially SOUTH LA, I wanna see yall here! Even if you’re just passing thru slide thru. Affordable class options and if you’re running late it’s all good you can still come thru and all the props and mats are FREE to use.

Came in from ClassPass for the slow burn session. Trey the yoga instructor is awesome!! Well-paced, clear instructions, and a great energy. The session practiced positions with longer holds, so muscles would start to shake in some parts of the session. Overall, it was a nice session that didn't overextend my body and left me feeling energetic.
The whole studio feels like a tight-knit community and is super warm and welcoming. Parking is right outside the warehouse, and you head to the door with security pad, press the call button, and they'll let you in. Yoga mats, blocks, support cushions, blankets, and straps are all supplied (free!) for every session. Plus a cute kitchen area with coffee and tea for everyone. Single bathroom and an additional changing pop up room makes for little hygiene routine convenience, so come prepared to hop into the sessions. Open-faced cubbies are visible to the class the whole time for storage of belongings.
I had a great experience, and would definitely return when I'm in the area.

I felt right at home in the Magic on the Mat session. At certain points, I did feel like I was moving with magic, almost like I was floating. The instructor was incredible and helped me to listen to my body first and the yoga second. I had so much fun even through the stumbling and wobbling.

Kemetic Yoga with Anuwolley and Jaleel✨ My spirit is lighter after exchanging high vibe energies, it’s the tone. In this particular space, I never feel drained due to the frequency set by our facilitators during curation. The power and intention of Anuwolley and Jaleel along with their cosmic wisdom are extraordinarily effective in healing. Asè, give thanks!

This place is so beautiful and needed. Yoga is one of the most colonized practices on earth, and to have it find a home here is beautifully appropriate. I hope this place never gets gentrified and that it stays Black centered… wellness through this lens is something so deeply important. Jana and all the teachers have been incredible. Couldn’t recommend this place for BIPOC any higher!

Always a great class with Noemi. She gives options to make the poses more challenging and it feels amazing. The class is a great beginners class and a great way to get back into yoga for me. I practiced regularly for years but stopped for some years. Now I am greatful to be back. This is the perfect space for me, exactly what I was looking for. Namaste!

Our retreat experience was amazing and more than anything expected! The Tree Yoga Cooperative space is breathtaking. The planning and communication with the team leading up to the event was consistent and thoughtful - thank you Jenni and Jana! Every detail of the retreat was aligned with our intentions for the day and integrated with our mission. The yoga and journaling session with Jana was so easeful and serene. The sound bath with Derek was vibrational and soul-stirring. Shanice's warm welcome and beautiful attention to making sure everything ran smooth for the day was unmatched.
Thank you for putting your heart into setting the atmosphere! On behalf of Maternal Mental Health NOW and the LA County Black Birth Workers Community, we send PEACE and gratitude.

So grateful to be a part of this loving, caring community. All the teachers and staff at The Tree practice what it means to be a yogi on and off the mat with a commitment to social justice and healing. The space is a welcoming and beautiful (plus pristinely clean!) studio and I am so proud of the hard work and effort to bring this to life. Highly recommend any class and the workshops offered — special shout-out to J’s (Jonié) Soul Flow class, which I go to regularly! Can’t wait to see this space continue to blossom and grow it’s roots! 🌳🙏❤️

Love this place! Only one of its kind in the area...no ridiculous monthly fees, just pay what you can. Suggested donation is $5 to $10, and it's been well worth my $10 every time. All the instructors have that super-chill-yogi vibe - happy, vibrant. Great atmosphere all around.
Oh, also, the owner is a hottie with a dog that does yoga. What more do you need?
