My husband and I started working out at The Vent after our daughters invited to a free class. We joined a group called, “Legends.” It’s a perfect pace for our age group and we feel challenged after each CrossFit class. I am surprised at how much fun we have and the friendships we are making. There is no judging, mirrors, or any other deterrent that would hinder our performance. Best of all, I have gotten much stronger and am proud of how my body looks and feels. I love the Vent so much that I just added a 3 day to my weekly workouts.

did i mention this place is clean, holiday decorations are off the hizzy, the outdoor space is AMAZING (sun AND heavy lifting? I'M IN!) and they even have a fitness and movement education LIBRARY!!! where else can you read Supple Leopard and actually DO the assessments?? NOT at Barnes and Noble. Probably not at the library, either.
also! the Vent has the most awesome collection of equipment. i am literally a kid in a candy store while i'm there. mobility tools, trap bars...bands, peanuts, maces, it's cray. in the best way.

This gym is a game-changer! My boyfriend and I were looking for a place where we could work out together. We found out about the Vent after a friend recommended it to us. It is the perfect mixture of what we were looking for- a hard work out, education and community.
The staff is not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable. They prioritize safety and take the time to teach proper form, which has significantly improved my workout experience. The classes are always different, and each one leaves me feeling energized and accomplished. I’ve seen noticeable improvements in my fitness since joining, and I couldn’t be happier. 10/10!

Update. I'm now turning 63 and amazed at the perfect fit the Vents, Legends class has been for me. I've had multiple physical setbacks in the last 1.5 years, but I haven't had to stop doing CrossFit. The coaches are aware of my limits and show me variations that continue to challenge me.
I highly recommend these well educated coaches & their Legends class for those over 55.
I'm over 55 and can't believe what I have achieved in strength and stamina over last 10 months. I was hesitant to try CrossFit until I learned how dedicated the Vent coaches are to educating every individual on technique & mobility. We just completed a strength/stamina program & I underestimated how much improvement I personally could achieve. THANKS Vent coaches for your dedication to your community

I love this gym! Come for the Crossfit - Stay for the Mobility!!! What's different about this gym is the community and the coaches. They connect with the members and really understand how to coach vs. bark orders. They build in mobility exercises before and after each class. They offer 'wrap around' fitness services like nutritional guidance, body fat % testing (3rd party), running coaching or other specific skill based training 1-on-1. I also have made a bunch of friends here through classes or parties and events that they host. People tend to stay here and I will too.

Back in 2019, I was looking to get back in to fitness and started researching local CrossFit gyms in the area. In a physical and mental rut, I needed to get my life back on track after nursing school. From the second I walked in the door and met Bree, I knew this was a special place. I have been a member at The Vent since November of 2019, and no matter where I've been in my fitness journey, The Vent has always been there for me 100% of the way. Whether I was in my once every other week attendance phase or coming 4-5 times a week, the family at The Vent has always welcomed me. Staffed with kind, creative, and compassionate coaches - they are always willing and prepared to help you find your level of fitness and a scale that will allow you to participate in workouts to the best of your abilities (and give you a little push when they know you've got more in you!). They are true coaches, constantly observing form to make sure you are completing movements correctly to help avoid injury - they truly have both your mental and physical wellness in mind. If they don't see you at your usual workout intervals - they WILL text you to check on you and make sure you're ok! Got an injury? They're ready to help you work through it; whether with active recovery directed by the coaches or with their in house Physical Therapists, they are always ready to get you back to your 100% safely. I had knee pain for weeks that was so bad it impacted my sleep; once I let Coach Tyler know I was having this painful issue, he worked with me on stretches and mobility/active recovery geared towards my specific injury that quickly got me back to 100% and has kept me there for over a year. Not only is the gym staffed with incredible coaches, it is also bursting at the seams with amazing humans ready to cheer you on and be there for you. I've made countless friends here and it truly is a family. With the friends and excellent coaching staff I have grown to know and love at The Vent, I've done things I never thought I would be capable of and I can't wait to see what I accomplish with their help, guidance, and comradery in the future. Great coaches. Great community. Great gym. When I started, I was skeptical that I would ever do many of the movements and activities of the workouts. I figured my body was permanently limited after 25 years of back and leg injuries. But in less than a year, the coaches helped me to build strength and improve mobility, and I can actually do most of the movements I was skeptical of, I have way less everyday pain, and most importantly, I can do activities with family and friends and not worry about hurting myself.

I have been going to the Vent for a few months, as recommended by a good friend. I admit I was nervous about getting involved in weightlifting and this style of training. But now I’m addicted! I am super happy with the strength program and the coaching. I really like that the coaches know how to modify workouts and provide corrective feedback to ensure that I am doing everything the right way. It's helped me feel confident to push myself and push the weight that I’m lifting. I'm also really happy with the additional support from the nutritional coach. As a Chiropractor for almost 20 years, I believe that having a strong healthy body is one of the greatest gifts that you can have in life. The Vent has been an integral part of my personal quest for health and fitness as well as a place that I can confidently refer my patients to. In fact, the owner, Bree Cochran, has been coaching me for over 10 years now! We have grown together as athlete and coach and I continue to admire her relentless pursuit of excellence and knowledge in her field. Truthfully, all of the coaches at the Vent are excellent; not only because of their knowledge and the fact that they hold us to higher standards of proper movement and form, but because they truly care about us members.
Having had the opportunity to travel and visit some other CrossFit gyms, I can say that the facility and equipment at the Vent are top notch. I challenge anyone to find a cleaner gym! The addition of the outdoor area, the Yard, has been a huge asset to an already great facility. The community is supportive and welcoming to athletes of all levels and to people of all walks of life and I am proud and truly grateful to be a part of it.
Functional fitness, mobility, strength, and endurance are lifelong pursuits which allow us to interface with the world that we live in and enjoy this life to its fullest. The Vent: Human Performance Center certainly has raised the standard and I have much love and gratitude for all that they do. Let’s say you’re not a hardcore CrossFit beast. Let’s say you haven’t been a gym member in nearly 2 decades, have a desk job hunched over on a computer all day, stopped your 10,000 steps a day during Covid, and this is all catching up with you with stiffness, back and neck pain, and lower endurance, …then check out the Vent.
The Vent is welcoming. The Vent will work you to safely improve and get healthier. Sure - they have classes for existing CrossFit aficionados. But they also have classes for those that don’t want such a level of high intensity. Either due to, number of days you’ve walked the earth, fitness level, or someone recovering from an injury or previous beast intense work out.
The coaches are professional, knowledgeable, encouraging, and keep a watchful eye for proper motion safety. Exercises can be modified if needed to keep you safe.
Not just the coaches but other members are encouraging to spur each other along to be strong. It’s a positive place.

I started at The Vent over 5 years ago; it was supposed to be a short-term situation until my running injury healed… 😂. However, I have learned and grown so much since joining “temporarily” that I consider the Vent a non-negotiable part of my life now. Not your average CrossFit gym: The Vent is much more. The Vent is the type of gym/human performance center that makes you ask yourself, “where have you been all my life?!” Lol. The Vent and it’s staff do a phenomenal job of teaching you CF fundamentals and skills w/o any negativity or judgment, regardless of your fitness level. The staff give’s you the tools to be successful in the gym, feel great, and increase confidence. I was not a CF athlete before I joined the Vent and wasn’t sure what to think at first. I was referred by a colleague, was open to it and gave it a try. Boy am I glad I did bc I haven’t looked back. I struggled at first but quickly adapted and felt good while doing so. Not only have I improved in strength and gains, but I have learned and improved on specific Olympic lifts, gymnastics movements, mobility & recovery techniques, etc. that make me feel great and wanting more! Additionally, I have gained confidence that has carried over to my lifts and makes me feel better about lifts I had no idea how to do before. The coaches and other staff are great teachers, friendly, supportive, and just great human beings. Coach Bree and the Vent staff truly push you to be your best, regardless of fitness level or strength. They allow you to perform the appropriate workout needed (Rx, scaled, injured) but always try to challenge you to get better. The gym offers fundamental & specific skills classes, nutrition consultations (as needed), have physical therapists available for consultation, movement medicine classes for student-athletes, Open Gym, and more! Additionally the Vent has great equipment, lot’s of space, and a great community. The Vent gym members are friendly, super supportive, and make you want to push and be better everyday. The VENT is a phenomenal gym and community. I wasn’t able to make classes based on my work schedule but that never stopped them from creating a great opportunity for me to be a part of the gym. The open gym was always available and never felt like I was being pushed out for the sake of classes going on at the same time. The trainers there are a great group of people who are focused on improving everyone’s fitness and well being. I started out at the gym setting up programming with Tyler and he helped me identify where I needed to improve and take care of my body and I couldn’t be happier! If I could give them 10 stars, I would! The Vent has become a home away from home. The coaching staff are experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated to their profession. They are equally as dedicated to their clients. The coaches focus on the whole human and all of the aspects that create strong and unceasing athletes of all levels. I don’t just show up to work out, I show up to be educated and trained in proper movement mechanics so I can move well through every day life. Their staff include physical therapists who helped me work through a major injury. Not only did I receive physical therapy at my gym, but the PT’s consulted and collaborated with my coaches so I could safely and effectively continue to train in general classes. The community and coaches at The Vent saved many sanity during the pandemic! The owner, Bree, pivoted into Zoom classes immediately and we never missed a day of sweating and struggling together. I highly recommend joining The Vent CrossFit gym. The staff and instructors do a good evaluation of your present mobility and abilities as well as your goals before you begin your fitness journey. The classes can be intense, but the instructors know to scale the workouts to your current ability levels. During workouts we're all encouraging of each other's efforts.
After the first three months, I've made positive improvements to my strength and conditioning because of going to The Vent group classes. I've had some previous injuries before joining, and the instructors have been helping me work through them. I know I still have a ways to go to reach my goals, but I'm pleased with the progress I've made so far. I'm looking forward to workouts and the fun challenges they bring.
Now after six months of training, my previous injuries are virtually non-existent (I don't want to jinx myself by writing they're completely gone). The strength and mobility in those joints are back to normal and getting better. My strength, conditioning, and athleticism haven't been this good in several years. I enjoy the workout variety and camaraderie the group classes bring. Again, I highly recommend 'The Vent' as a CrossFit gym to improve and maintain your health and fitness.

I have found my happy place. I've always been someone who enjoys getting up in the morning and working out, but The Vent gives me so much more than just a workout. I have found a new perspective on how to use my body more efficiently in all aspects of my life. The coaches there understand my goal of keeping my body healthy and strong so I cannot only really play with my young kids today but look forward to all the physical activities I will do with my future grandkids. And as a naturally competitive person, I was worried about the competition aspect of CrossFit, but I quickly discovered Vent members are about supporting each other and lifting each other up, and who can't use that at 5:00 in the morning? I love My Vent family and I'm so thankful to have found The Vent.

This community is something else! Having spent many years at a Globo-gym without results I decided to try functional fitness. The Vent has taught me so much. From nutrition to skill work, I decreased my body fat from 17.8% to 15.1% and gained 8.5 lbs of lean muscle mass. The coaches are seriously knowledgeable and want to make everyone the best version of themselves. The members are also so great! I believe I will only get better/stronger with their guidance.

Recently just joined the team, so far it’s been amazing! The coach’s are awesome!
The coach’s actually coach, pushing everyone pass their comfort zone, making sure your doing the workouts properly, and most importantly being supportive!
When it comes to the new covid mandates with mask, they are doing great. They are enforcing mask indoors but out doors no ( we are social distancing ) anyone of course has to choice to still wear one and some do :). They also do have us clean the equipment when we are done using them .
The Vent is phenomenal, so glad I joined ! Wish I would of joined sooner !!
One more thing on my first day (first group class), the other members who didn’t know who I was well they knew my name because when your new the coach’s introduce you to everyone. My first day though I was a bit shy, and while I was working out finishing up my last rep the other members cheering me on and being very supportive so not only are the coach’s great but also the members there as well!

Joining the VENT from my old gym there is a huge difference. Fundamentals!! Technique!! I didnt want to lose just weight and gain muscle but wanted to learn the proper ways and techniques for doing so. Loved my old gym!! But I felt I couldn't grow any further. I wanted to evolve and go to the next level. The VENT is the place where I can do that. The staff/coaches were very welcoming and knowledgeable from the go. Made the transition very easy. GYM is very CLEAN and has all the equipment needed. Work out times /classes will fit anyone's schedule.

I joined The Vent 3 weeks ago after working out at another local gym for 3 years. I was nervous about the transition to a new gym. What I found was a community of trainers and members that were friendly and supportive. What impressed me the most was the attention to proper form, safety, and overall mobility. Yesterday I stopped by The Vent and I was so impressed. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that the gym was immaculate. Everything was perfectly organized and sparkling clean. I have been to a lot of gyms in my life, and this was the cleanest. Then I was immediatly greeted by Bree and she was so friendly and supportive, she made me feel like part of the family. I love the Vent for many reasons. Fitness has been a huge part of my life, I was a soccer player from the years 5 to 25 and was always in shape. That being said, I didn’t realize my blind spots in my body and where I was lacking major strength. When I met Bree and the team, I had my reservations about Crossfit, but soon realized this was much bigger than being able to say you could lift heavy weight over your head or deadlift like the pros. The sheer fact that they focus in on, not only your athleticism, but mobility, and mindset/belief was/is such an eye opener for me, as most gyms just show you how to do something and then tell you to go do it without any foundational training. I have heard a lot of injuries due to Crossfit, but at the Vent, they work through truly building skill, muscle, and proper movement so that injuries are not a norm.
If you are thinking of a place that will not only help you up your fitness level, but your mental toughness and your ability to do hard things with others in the community, this is your place, hands down. Like I said above, I thought I was fit playing soccer all my life until I realized how much I needed Crossfit to be full body fit.

I joined The Vent about a year ago and this is been one of the most renewal experience in my life. I have been transformed not only physically but internally by believing in myself that I can do it. I have been a member at The Vent for a little over a year now. Since then, the coaches have put myself and other members through numerous programs. These programs include gymnastics, metabolic conditioning, strength training and just recently strength endurance. I cannot stress enough how much effort these coaches put into everyone that walks in. They make sure everyone is safe and has fun regardless if your someone looking to compete or if your just someone trying it out for the first time. It is because of these different programs I feel fitter and stronger now than I was in high school. Plus the way they coach everyone to move with safety in mind crosses over to how I perform at work. I am 49 years old and just started working out again after a five-year down period. I've never really been the "gym type." I tried The Vent as part of a Whole Life Challenge for eight weeks. I am never leaving! I was nervous about working out in a gym with bad technique and injuring myself. There is no chance of that here. These coaches know their stuff and make "doing it right" a priority. Even though it is a group class, you get the individual attention you need for a safe and effective workout. I gained four pounds of muscle in eight weeks and feel stronger than ever--without even so much as a muscle strain. I completely trust the coaches understand my abilities and push me to really challenge myself. The whole community is supportive and motivating. There are members from all age groups and athletic abilities. I actually look forward to the classes and feel "off" when I miss a day. I plan on rocking 50 with The Vent's help! Far and away the best place I have ever trained. Hands down. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable. They focus on your overall health and movement, painstakingly perfecting and correcting you every single time. For years, I thought I knew what I was doing. Wrong! I now run faster, lift heavier, and endure longer than I ever have - with correct movements that protect my body. At The Vent, everyone is welcome, from seasoned athletes to first-timers. This place is special. Period. The owners are professional, health minded and 100% willing to put in the extra time for there clients -- assuming you are willing too. "Raising the standard" isnt simply a figure of speech or plain rhetoric... it's a way of life at The Vent. I've used the mechanics I've been taught at this Human Performance Center, harnessing the metabolic conditioning, mobility training and easy access to solid and credible training suppprt to help me complete my first disntace/endurance race training and look forward to further strength building sessions in the months and years ahead! Bree is a savvy, no nonsense pro who will work your core into the ground -- if you let her -- and you'll thank her for it when you are done with a "Vent" workout.
