When I arrived at The Yoga Channel to take Nathan's Sukha Hatha Yoga class I had no idea what to expect and I was very nervous. Immediately I felt at easy as Nathan guides the class with specific detailed instruction and inspirational messages. I felt safe& cozy, as if I was surrounded by family, and it was easy for me to be present in the practice. The studio was clean, temperature appropriate, and only a minute to the beach. Plenty of parking was available. Next time I will bring a friend as this is a special place to practice that I definitely want to share with others. If you like yoga, you are going to love this .... and .... If you have never tried yoga, you are going to love this!

The Yoga Channel has such a chill welcoming vibe! No pressure, just good energy and great people. The classes are easy to follow and always leave me feeling refreshed.
Big shoutout to Nathan and Hannah! They both makes every class fun, grounding, and accessible for everyone. Their knowledge of the body, flow of sessions, and genuine care is unmatched. You can tell they really care about their students!

I've been to many yoga studios over the years, but this one is truly in a league of its own. From the moment you step inside, you feel it—the energy here is pure. There's a calm, welcoming vibe that makes you instantly want to settle in and stay a while.
What really sets this studio apart, though, is the people. You’re not just another mat in the room—they genuinely care. The teachers make an effort to connect, and the sense of community is something rare and beautiful. (especially Nathan who I am very grateful to have met)
The space itself is incredibly cozy and inviting, with thoughtful touches that make every class feel personal. And you look out to a very special marina. Practicing with the sound of marine life or the sun setting nearby is something you have to experience to truly understand. It adds a whole new layer of peace to your practice.
This studio is more than a place to move your body, it's a place to reconnect, restore, and re-center. I can't recommend it enough.

My first yoga session was an incredible experience! Nathan offered a convenient private session on a Saturday afternoon, which was perfect since we both have different routines.
Nathan made us feel welcome and gave us a brief tour of his studio before starting. His calm and patient demeanor allowed me to fully absorb the session.
He began with deep breathing exercises, emphasizing their importance. Then, he led us through a series of yoga poses, each progressively more challenging.
We had some pain in different parts of our bodies, but by the end of the session, it was gone! I’m looking forward to sleeping better tonight and feeling sharper mentally, as I was able to release the stresses of the day.
Nathan specializes in sciatic nerve pain and also teaches techniques that can be done at home or at the office. I highly recommend attending a session with him to relieve pain, sharpen your mindset, and improve your sleep.

I used to go there years the yoga teacher's not there anymore but the location is wonderful. Tons of parking across the street which is Beach parking. Small and intimate studio. In the silences between instructions and poses, you hear the seagulls and the hush of the ocean slip into the shore. I've heard great things about it from friends. What the current instructors and management

Review of Restorative Yoga Class at THE YOGA CHANNEL
I recently attended a restorative yoga class at The Yoga Channel, and it was a wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in, the studio had a calming and welcoming atmosphere. The Silver Strand neighborhood has a real relaxed beach vibe.
The instructor, Nathan, was fantastic. He is warm, approachable, and gave clear, easy-to-follow instructions. What I appreciated most was how Nathan offered variations for each pose, making the class accessible to all levels. There was a strong emphasis on breathwork and mindfulness throughout the session, which helped me stay focused and present.
The pace of the class was just right—challenging, but not overwhelming. I left feeling both stretched and relaxed, with a nice sense of accomplishment. The use of props, like blankets, blocks and straps, also helped me deepen my stretches and maintain good alignment.
The studio itself was clean, well-organized, and had everything I needed, but I like to bring my own mat & blocks. The small class size was also a plus, as it allowed the instructor to provide individual attention to students when needed. Nathan will gently correct or nudge us into a deeper stretch.
Overall, I would highly recommend this class to anyone looking to improve flexibility, strength, and mental clarity. Whether you're a beginner or experienced practitioner, the class accommodates all levels, and I felt like I got both a physical and mental workout.
This was a substitute instructor one class:
So beneficial! I left feeling an inch taller for all the stress relieving stretches we did. I really like the series of spinal stretches. The side bending over the bolster was new to me, but I could feel it opening up spaces and clearing stagnant energy. Thank you Tereza for a wonderful class!

Decided to give this place a visit per the recommendation of a friend. I’ve suffered from chronic low back pain, and while YouTube stretches seemed to help a little, I figured I needed a more hands-on approach. Nathan knew exactly what I needed and exudes a calming energy. The space itself is also charming being right next to the harbor. Definitely looking into group classes in the future to make it a part of my routine.

I’ve visited Yoga Channel six times now and taken 3 different types of yoga. Each time I have found the instructors helpful, courteous and open to questions. The facility is clean and there are mats to borrow if you forget, like I sometimes do. Scheduling is easy online and I plan to continue taking classes.

The Yoga Channel is lovely. I’ve taken classes with both Nathan and Anna. Anna finds ways to challenge with long, static holds, while offering modifications for hyper mobility. Nathan has some great thai massage - assisted stretching workshops. This humble studio tucked away by the beach is perfect… think seniors, comfy clothes, and slow mindful practice. No pretense, no competition.

I began my practice of Yoga 8 years ago at the Yoga Channel and it has made a great difference in my physical and mental wellbeing.
I am 74 years old. My concentration, balance, movement and mindfulness have increased considerably through the years.
I have been guided by incredible teachers who have taught me how to stretch and breathe and hold my poses without doing any physical harm to myself.
Small classes in a welcoming environment make the Yoga Channel the place to practice.

I have practiced yoga for years, but it wasn’t until I met Anna that I really felt I was healing. Anna teaches an early class at the yoga channel on Tuesday and Thursday. As far as I know it will be going on in the new year I love going to the yoga channel studio. It is small but somehow spacious giving you a feeling of comfort and privacy. Here’s to a healthy and happy New Year!! Glad to say I’m a part of the yoga family at the Yoga Channel!!!

That restorative practice was the perfect way to end my day. Driving and sitting for long periods of time my body becomes talkative! Knowing I am supported with the right props I am able to fully commit and focus on stillness. Being still is challenging for me and I honor this time with myself to “polish” those areas with my mind and truly connect. Much love 🫶💝

For those that enjoy Yoga for various reasons, should seriously see what The Yoga Channel has to offer.
I have been with The Yoga Channel program for more than 2 years, while my wife has been with them for over 7 years.
I joined because my primary doctor recommended yoga classes to help strengthen my posture to help prevent dowager’s hump.
Yoga has helped maintain my balance and reminds me of my stretching limitations and not to exceed those limits so that I can continue with classes without hurting my body.
The Yoga Channel has classes for all levels of Yoga. Not only do they have studio classes, but they also provide live classes that can be done at home. If you’re unable to attend their scheduled live classes (in the studio or at home), they also provide recorded sessions that can be selected where you can follow at your leisure time.
There’s times when we’re not able to attend a studio session so we setup at home. We connect our iPad to a tripod, adjust our camera, and wait for the instructor to log-in. To enlarge our view, we mirror the image to our smart TV. How convenient is that.
The Yoga Channel provides individual or group sessions in their studio, as well as live or recorded sessions at home. They have individual or family plans.
Contact Nathan at The Yoga Channel for more information. We’re very pleased with them and hopefully for many more years.
