I came to an excellent movement workshop about using foam rollers and toys for myofascial release. It was hosted by the owner and a couple of her delightful friends from the osteo and dance worlds. Of course, I bought their excellent intro deal as I am a curious soul who knows a lot about movement, and these women had a special something. I was taken by the gentleness in Bex’s class. I had never actually seen someone use a bolster in bow pose. I went to Mandy's Restorative class and was struck by how pure and focused it was, backed by serious anatomical knowledge. The puddle of drool on my mat in a prone position reminded me how deep the rest is. I do a ton of yoga and dance. I am federally disabled with a unicorn brain disease (now stable, yay ;)),and in the years that remain, I will be moving lots to manage Parkinsonism. I am very happy and adjusted. I have so much love and love my disabled life. I seek places that keep the joy going. I got a good (gym culture can be ableist as hell)feeling about this dive. Will be purchasing a class pack as I love my home studio, which has a hard-driving, warm vibe and the protection from ableism this soul needed. I also know the dive is safe, so I'll be napping here a couple of times a week;)

I've recently started attending classes at the Yoga Dive studio, and I can't say enough good things about my experience so far. Coming off a year of limited mobility due to surgery, and having a desk job that keeps me mostly stationary, this place has been a sanctuary for both my body and soul. The few classes I have attended so far have all left me feeling invigorated and centered. My mind and body are already thanking me for taking this step toward holistic wellness.

So grateful for this space. It’s an incredibly homey studio with yogis who are truly engaged with the practice. I always leave more peaceful, connected and grounded. As someone who has been practicing for many years, I highly recommend for anyone at any level.

I really can’t even express in words or sentences how grateful I am to have found a place to call my saving grace, sanctuary while living in Nevada City. The Yoga Dive reminds me of a sweet little yoga studio that I fell in love with when I lived on Maui. It’s cute, quaint and full of love. I feel fortunate enough to be able to do yoga there. The teachers all have their own unique & artistic way of guiding you on your mat with a smile.

I originally thought, when signing up for the introductory 30 days, that I was going to practice yoga focusing on my mind, my body and to strengthen the not so strong parts of my inner self. Although, Yoga Dive has fully provided a safe haven for me to go in and do exactly that, Emily, Laura and all the lovely people who share the space make it unique and incredibly inviting. Having just moved here from Sacramento, there's an undeniable strong sense of community here and for many of the classes I've taken, have left feeling nothing but love for myself and the ladies that frequent the spot...and one or two fellas. It has lifted me up in so many way. Thank you ladies.

What an amazing place created by thoughtful, community oriented and dedicated women! Taking a yoga class with Emily is like simultaneously seeing your therapist, becoming clairvoyant, developing a sense of self worth and empowerment and having brunch with your best girlfriend. Nevada City is so lucky to be able to claim home to The Yoga Dive. If you haven't checked it out, you must!
