If you are a contractor, you'll need to go to the SUBASE gym to get a punch card. It's $45 a card for 15 visits (and your first visit is free). This gym has all the necessities including a bench, squat rack, and various machines.

It’s a $3 for contractors but it’s so worth it

My favorite place to workout. The professional fitness trainers put a lot of effort into the classes. This gym is very convenient if you live or work in Point Loma and have access to the base.

It is a nice gym. Everything is laid out pretty well. Even though there is a lot of equipment there is still a lot of space to move around and do workouts. It does open at 6AM and I believe it closes around 2PM. The machines look fairly new and has a good variety. Cardio machines look well taken care of. There is a free weight section as well as a squat rack, bench press and a deadlift area. There is also a separate room that is more open if you need even more space to workout. Overall, for a small gym this has everything you need to get a good workout.

****UPDATE****
Gym is now open at 5AM until 5PM Monday to Thursday and 5AM until 1PM on Friday’s.

The best low key gym ever. Plus, can beat the views.

Could use more squat racks and bench press but they have made the most of the space available.
