Our 2 boys practically grew up here. We began going to Thrive when they were babies where they enjoyed the mim and me classes. Ww progressed up all the way to the 4th grade level. During covid I was unsure about enrolling my daughter into Gymnastics but Thrive Training Center was good about following all of the county guidelines and it made me feel better about taking my child. Thrive has always kept us in the loop on any changes well in advance, even before COVID. They are great communicators whether they teach students or talk with parents on what is expected. My daughter started gymnastics at THRIVE when they opened in Atascadero. When THRIVE opened in Paso we went to that location. Both locations provided quality instruction. The coaches were kind, patient, and encouraging. My daughter flourished physically and emotionally. As a swim instructor I encourage my athlete’s parent’s to enroll their children at THRIVE. Children who develop their core through gymnastics perform better in swimming and all sports.

I started my son out in parkour for balance and coordination, and because he’s more of an individualistic athlete and didn’t fancy team sports. It’s been four years since then and parkour is still his favorite sport! He loves obstacles and challenges and the coach is amazing - engaging and challenging but not overbearing. I was a coach at this gym and I absolutely loved it! The other coaches were super friendly and they all knew what it took to coach gymnastics and parkour. Their girls team is amazing and they are great role models for the younger kids.I really loved how their system worked. All of the coaches made sure each gymnast had an equal amount of time on each event and they made sure that the kids were having fun and at the same time learning what they needed to! All in all I would highly recommend Thrive Training Center to anyone who is looking to put their kid in gymnastics. It is not only a great facility, it is also a fun and safe environment for kids!!

Our children really thrived while attending this very dedicated facility, during 4 years. We had to move out of the county, otherwise they would still be at Thrive training center... The staff is very friendly and available. The coaches are positive, encouraging and help individually every kid to progress and feel more confident. COVID, as evil as ever, stopped regular sports - we needed a physical outlet. Knowing that THRIVE offered Tumbling/Parkour, their monthly tuition avgs to amt seasonal sports & equipment would cost over time, and that makes it of good value to me. My son doesn't love it, however he enjoys the activity and looks forward to going. The staff are nice and the facility is well kempt, they follow PUBLIC HEALTH guidelines that too, is reassuring. We have been going a few months at this point, the one downside is staffing because it seems most coaches are also students. We attend Paso but are told BOTHgyms interchange classes if make-up are desired.

We lived on the central coast from 2014 and our daughter started taking gymnastics at Thrive a year later, though I wish we had found them sooner! She built core strength, awareness of her body and its movement in space, and above all a profound sense of self-confidence through the steady but earned increase in ability level.. Thrive’s facilities are versatile and high quality allowing the youngest students to train along side multiple other classes of increasing ability. I found this to be inspiring and motivating for my daughter. She also had a total of 5 different instructors (several repeated), each of whom was both technically proficient but also deeply aware of age appropriate pedagogy and how to infuse skill building within a fun environment. I am sad that life circumstances caused us to move away from the central coast as I would have continued my daughter’s training and started bringing my son.

Thrive in Paso is wonderful! The coaches are amazing with the kids, and everyone is incredibly personable and responsive with any questions or concerns. My girls have never stuck with any sport so long, and they are even practicing at home and openly anxious and excited to pass new milestones. I have watched my girls' confidence blossom over the past year and a half, and I know it has to do with these amazing coaches that encourage them everyday! My 4 year old daughter has just started here a month ago and we love it! The instructors are wonderful and the class sizes are small, they gets lots of attention! The facility is super clean and they have handled all the COVID-19 rules really well, everyone is temperature checked upon arrival and hands sanitized. They clean all mats, etc as the kids are finished and are able to distance all kids really well at the gym. She is so excited to go each week and is exhausted afterwards, it is great!

Not all gymnastics gyms are created equal. I have a handful of children, and they all have participated at Thrive off and on (some more than others) over the years.

Recreational gymnastics is a wonderful way to teach children body awareness and discipline early on. It provides children with a foundation for future sport and exercise activity. With many of my children we have treated gymnastics classes as an off-season cross training activity to keep them busy and active, but also to teach them those kinds of skills that you don't get from other sports.

Thrive has good coaches who care about the progress of the children. The office staff is usually quite good at communicating and accommodating the crazy schedules that we have.

The kids are in a safe environment and learning important skills.

Open play at Thrive Training Center in Atascadero has played such an important role in my son’s gross motor development. He was about 4-6 months behind in his gross motor development when I began bringing him to Open Play classes. At the time that we began attending, he was only crawling. The friendly, fun environment constantly encouraged him to do more! My son learned to climb and walk at Thrive! I literally cried watching him take off walking for the first time across the large open gym floor, with the encouragement of the staff watching. Prior to having my daughters, I did the adult gymnastics class at Thrive and it was WONDERFUL. Raleigh is an amazing coach and it was always one of the highlights of my week. Now my toddler daughter and I regularly (pre-covid) attend the parent and me class and we both totally love it. It’s open gym but with some teacher-led activities which is perfect for the age group, as it allows the kids to join the group and participate at their own pace (or just do free play the whole time, no pressure either way!)
