As someone who played organized sports for most of my life, I really struggled with the lack of structure once college sports ended. Without a coach, my workouts felt directionless for years—and I was always worried about doing things incorrectly and ending up injured.
Tom solved all of that for me. He’s taught me entirely new movements, checks in throughout the week to keep me on track, and makes sure my technique is solid every step of the way. One of the best parts is that he tailors my workouts to whatever equipment I have available when I’m not training with him.
I also love that mobility and body awareness are major pillars of Tom’s program—something I wasn’t expecting when I first reached out almost a year ago. My body feels better throughout the day, and those dumb little injuries I used to get regularly just… stopped happening.
And honestly, I didn’t anticipate having this much fun training. Tom is such a genuine, kind human, and is truly a joy to be around. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a personal trainer in the South Bay and beyond—you won’t regret it!

I’ve always struggled to maintain commitment to any type of fitness since COVID canceled most of the organized sports I participated in. Trying training on my own was just inconsistency after inconsistency. But after meeting Tom and working with him, I actively want to come to sessions with him to work on my strength, balance, and overall health. Since starting training with him less than a year ago, I’ve not only gotten so much stronger, but I’ve gained better control over my body, growing up very lean and lanky. I’ve gotten numerous compliments from others on how they can see the effects of my training. And this is just going twice a week with limited training on my own outside of our sessions! On top of the results I’m getting, Tom, with his years of expertise, pushes me to push myself in a healthy way. He doesn’t fuss over the aesthetics of fitness (though the effects of his training is visible), but rather really goes for strength, even if it is “invisible.” It’s given me back a lot of self-esteem that COVID took from me due to my body insecurity. But more than just a trainer, Tom is a great friend. If you’re looking for a personal trainer, Tom is the trainer for you. Cannot recommend him more.

Working with Tom has truly been life changing! I have struggled with back pain for years despite trying physical therapy and every workout regimen under the sun.
I have only been working with Tom for a couple of months and I already feel exponentially better. His carefully curated workouts incorporate strength, mobility, breathing and body awareness. He watches all your movements and analyzes exactly what is happening with every part of your body in order to provide continuous feedback throughout the session. He is a wealth of knowledge and his priority is your well being both in his sessions and in everyday life.
I can't wait to continue on this journey with Tom. My only regret is not starting to work with him sooner. I highly recommend him to anyone in the South Bay or in LA in general.

Tom is the best trainer I know. I met Tom first time in 2013 and trained with him until he decided to move to LA. I had tried multiple trainers before Tom but no one was as effective as him. He changed my body by custom creating exercises that fit by body type, strength and, posture . He fixed my posture, help me build strength and then continued to challenge me. I started seeing Tom three years ago with MAJOR back and shoulder pain, and I was being encouraged by two orthopedic surgeons to get surgery. I declined the surgery and thanks to Tom I’m pain-free for the last year!! Also during this time, Tom has been helping me gain strength - I’m so happy with the results! Tom is the first and only personal trainer I've ever had. I used to play sports a lot, still play sports a little, and still really enjoy being active. However, like most people no longer in high school, I am now 37 married with a child and a job. So that's where Tom comes in. Always went to Equinox until COVID but then I had to figure out a new routine. Since I "kind of" new about fitness I never really considered a personal trainer because I didn't think I really needed one (wrong).
Three years later, not only do I still go to Tom, but also my wife also now goes to Tom as well. I cannot overstate how little I want to go back to the gym. What's really incredible is the EFFICIENCY of workouts with Tom. I get BETTER results working out 2-3 times per week for one hour now then I did going to the gym twice as much.
When you start going to Tom you immediately realize why. It isn't just this many sets of this many reps and then he just sits there and counts. He's explaining to you why this exercise stretches this muscle, while strengthening that muscle, while improving balance because of this and that. The point is that Tom is working with you and your body individually on a level that you probably will not even appreciate until the results speak for themselves. At least that was my experience (and that of my wife, who also now trains with Tom!)
Finally, Tom is my friend, my good friend. After three years of hanging out for 3 hours a week, Tom still doesn't annoy me at all. Imagine that. Three years of paying someone to tell you to workout...and not only do you LIKE them, you become their friend! Can't think of any higher way to recommend him. 5 Stars
