I just wanted to take a momet to thank Torrance Training Lab for their help! I signed up my fiancé for a trial and Lexie was super helpful in getting her to feel comfortable at the gym. My fiancé was a bit nervous at first but ultimately the team/family atmosphere had her sold and she has been loving the gym! Everyday she comes from her boot camp class she beams with energy even though she is dead tired 😂

I have nothing but great things to say about TTL.

The workout programming is challenging, and the coaches are knowledgeable, ensuring that each workout is scaled to match your ability and experience.

The community, and owners feel like family. Jamie and Lexie (owners) have really created something special here. All ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels feel genuinely welcomed.

The space is unmatched (probably the largest space in all of the South Bay) with enough space to allow for classes, warming up, or even just doing accessories on the side. Lots of equipment, and clean.

10/10 high key recommend.

Fit Over Fifty class is great! I've started coming to the class early last month and it's been my 4th class now. The exercises are all wonderful from stretches, cardio, strength training and more! Cheryl, our instructor has been working and showing us how to move our whole body from the tip of your fingers all the way to your toes. A one hour class seems to go by quick for me with the variety of exercises during each session.
I usually don't give any reviews but I think these exercises will keep us strong, active, & healthy.
I highly recommend it for us seniors!

This gym is just awesome. A good friend of mine joined so I dropped in with him a few times. After coming a few times, I decided this place was more my vibe so decided to change gyms. I live in DTLA and come here so that should speak volumes in itself. The owners, members, coaches are amazing. Just don't come on Fridays. If you know, you know. Jk. Sorta.

One of the best CrossFit boxes I've had the pleasure of dropping into in my fitness journey!

Located in an industrial side of Torrance, TTL was a great spot with modern facilities, a large training space, and fantastic community. Coach Ashley in the morning was fun and led us in a good warmup before proceeding with the WOD which was clearly written on one of the TV monitors.

I loved being able to get a good (and challenging) workout and also engaging with a lot of the local athletes. Everyone was welcoming and it was fun to crush a pretty advanced WOD. Although I would argue that the 400m run around the gym is a bit longer than 400, I can't be too upset at working my body up just a bit more.

Thanks TTL for the great drop-in experience. I will definitely be back if the opportunity presents itself.

Class was great! It was a long workout with a big group in before, but Coach Ashley did a perfect job of setting expectations around a quick warmup before hand, checking in individually with everyone, and introducing me and someone else doing their first class to the rest of the members. I cannot say enough positive about Torrance Training Lab. I am in Los Angeles temporarily for work and a referral led me to check out this facility which is not too far from my hotel. It was flexible and easy enough to get a monthly pass, which is important to me since I'm only here temporarily. I joined the Bootcamp classes which are a functional fitness/conditioning mix workout. They also offer traditional crossfit. Marivic/Coach M is an amazing human. Her programming for Bootcamp is extremely challenging and the classes are a full hour. She is also engaged with the students and provides feedback and correction throughout the classes. She brought my attention to issues that I didn't even know I had. The other clients were very welcoming and there is a range of fitness levels within the class.

My assignment here is cutting cut early and I'm so sad to leave Torrance Training Lab. Hopefully one day I will be back. Also, Coach M owns the meal prep service Ready Fit Go. This is actually where I heard about Torrance Training Lab. I always look for meal prep places when I travel so I cut back on eating out. That service is also great and warrants a separate review. Overall, I'm so impressed. Go check it out and see for yourself.

As someone with a conflicting job and school schedule, it’s hard to stay consistent to a certain class. However, whichever class I go to I know I’ll be well mentored and motivated by the instructor for the day's workout! All coaches are so kind, helpful, and set a great tone for the workout which always creates a phenomenal environment.
Whether I hop on a CrossFit class, strength class, Saturday buddy workout class, bootcamp class, or go in during the open hours, I know I’ll get a killer workout at TTL!

Coach Ashley’s classes are always fun! She always explain into detail what the workouts are, as well as going over movements. The prescribed warm up movements are always a plus!! It’s not listed on the programming so ensuring warm ups are conducted prior to the strength portion of the workout is outstanding! She always makes the class fun by allowing members to share something personal about themselves. It really brings the class together and allow members to get to know each other. Coach Cristian is always prepared for 5AM class by having the equipment we'll be using ready, ie. rowers, asbikes, ropes...He makes us his priority during that hour. His warmups are well thought of, thorough and fun. He walks around checking and when necessary, correcting our form. He is our cheerleader when we're dying during a wod. Jen was great today! The warm up “pizza” game was really fun; she explained the workout in full detail so we could set up our equipment. Then she warmed us up and went through a nice mobility flow to get us ready for the workout. Jen helped out a lot of members, especially newer ones; making sure their form was safe and they are moving properly. Jen was also super encouraging and positive! We all had a great class! Dropped into TTL for a crossfit session, I had booked for a 4am strength class, with no coach listed, on their app, however they don't open till 5? As indicated on Google, and the fact Noone was there at 4am for said class. So ended up cancelling that and trying to rebook, but it had taken my class credit already for said 4 am class, so was unable to rebook. I waited till 5am which was a CF class which actually had a coach listed on the app and sure enough at 04h50 things started happening. I explained the sitch to Sofia, who totally understood and allowed me to join the CF class in lieu.

It's been a while since I've done one, and thoroughly enjoyed it when we got stuck into the meat of things. Nothing like humble pie to put you in your place I guess.

I travel for work and I'm a foreigner, the class attendees were fun and friendly. Coaches were professional and drove you hard, corrected you when they needed to and all round helpful. Facitilies are standard warehouse box, with the essentials. Some equipment like plates and 1 Assualt bike were worse for ware but in working condition.

Will defo be in when I'm in Torrance again.

We found this gym before we moved to the South Bay about a year ago. My wife and I came in as drop ins and knew right away this place was special. When we finally made the move we tried all the other local gyms before going back to TTL; and they were fine; but this place is outstanding! Needless to say we came back to TTL, joined and it's been a great year both in our training progress and with the friends we've made. The owners and coaches are excellent, the programming is challenging but fair for all levels of fitness, and the members are an eclectic group of amazing people. I have been going to Torrance Training Lab for 5 years and have watched the gym grow and get better every year! TTL has changed my health and fitness life! I am the fittest I have ever been. I crossed off one of my biggest before turning 40 bucket list items last year and it was running the LA Marathon. I know I couldn’t have done it without all the cross training I did at TTL. The owners, Lexie and Jamie Hagiya, and all the coaches are super friendly and motivating. The 4:30 Lites class with Cheryl is my go to. Cheryl is awesome and will teach you correct form which is very important to prevent injuries. Her class is always challenging (don’t let the Lites name fool you!) Torrance Training Lab has a great facility, accessible parking, well organized and clean equipment, great programming, and knowledgeable coaches. Especially Coach Cheryl, who is so positive, supportive and genuinely cares about everyone in her class. My mom started crossfit when she turned 70, and is the most “fit” she’s ever been. I’m so thankful to Coach Cheryl for taking my mom under her wing. Talk about functional fitness – my mom marveled how she can now lift up the giant Costco sized toilet paper and paper towels onto the top shelf to store! So, regardless of what age or fitness level you are, Torrance Training Lab is a great place to go.

Most of our group from the now closed Torrance CSFB location ended up at TTL. It was a little tough getting used to a new location at first, but the owners and coaches won us over. They know everyone’s names and try to make everyone feel welcomed. The regulars there are great too. The Friday Night Lights and other gatherings that they host help to create a strong sense of community. Whether you want to just go to the Lites classes or just go to Crossfit classes, there’s a spot for you here.

This gym makes you feel like family. When my workout group suddenly learned that our box was closing, we felt lost and alone and without direction. Once we found TTL and met the members there, we were welcomed and became fast friends with everyone around us. The coaches are super helpful and friendly, the equipment is clean, the box itself is spacious yet warm. I am very happy here and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Due to a change in job, I can only visit on occasion but when I come in, I feel like Norm from Cheers which is just like TTL.... where everyone knows your name (ok boomer).

When you find a gym or a box, you know it right from the start. I have been here since June or 2019 and can't tell you how glad I am that I joined. I was already at a different gym, and wanted something to do with CrossFit as I didn't know how to do the gymnastics or the Oly lifts efficiently. I found this gym at the recommendation of a friend, did a trial, and jumped all in. The coaches are great, the community is upbeat and positive, and most importantly the class offering is great - they have classes started at 5am M-F and have open gym available all day, which is great because some boxes close unless there is a class going on. What's even better is the TTL keeps getting better by recently adding a boot camp class so that it's not all about CrossFit. It's about being healthy and active. Drop in, you won't be disappointed.

Before I moved back to the South Bay I tried out different CrossFit gyms, but when I came into TTL I stopped looking. The coaches the members and simply the atmosphere is amazing. The coaches monitored my progress and knew exactly when I could push my body or when I needed to modify and still get a good workout. I've been a member since 2014 and I have learned so much (and I am still learning)!

I love this gym. The classes and coaches are great with many time slots to choose from. I also really like that there is plenty of space to do my own thing if there is something I want to work on not being programmed. There are plenty of hours of the day where open gym is an option for this sort of thing. Most of the time I do the classes though since the programming and coaches are so good. The atmosphere is very friendly and Lexie does a good job of arranging various fun activities throughout the year (CF Open potlucks, Christmas parties, karaoke nights, etc). Would highly recommend for anybody looking for friendly members, challenging programming, great coaching, and open gym flexibility.

I really like the atmosphere and vibe of this box, especially the large space and turf. When you're done with the WOD, the turf is a great spot to roll out and cool down, provided there isn't another class going on. The coaches are very helpful, insightful, and always looking out for your best interest on how to scale workouts or improve your results. The community is great and can be just as helpful as the coaches, which is great because you never feel alone in your fitness journey.

This has been my first month as a member and I am very glad to join the TLL team! The dues are naturally higher than what I've been paying for decades as a longtime member at 24H, but it is well worth it. TLL has early AM classes that work for my wife, and evening ones that work for night owls like me. Each coach manages to provide one-on-one attention in a group setting, and keeps the multiple elements of the day's workout moving in order to keep it within one-hour. This past Labor Day weekend we participated in a highly intense workout in honor of a fallen veteran, which I found very special, worthwhile and fitting. Supervised pets (furry and young human ones ;-)) are permitted, and owners/parents are respectful in cleaning up and maintaining safety.

My only regrets are that CF wasn't around 30-years ago when I was in high school, and that I had waited this long to join and learn from the great TLL coaches. Fellow members have been fantastic - we support each other, especially when the going gets tough!

I have found it true for me, what they say about the body starting to crumble once one hits their 40's. I am dedicating to looking after my health, and this is one of the most powerful ways in which I am doing so.

In all the years that I had a globo gym membership I had never gone as consistently or as much as I do now. I’m lazy, shy, and I love to eat.

Depending on your membership, you may be put off by the price at first, but trust me. It’s worth it. Make it work. You’re gonna save money by meal prepping (you’re going to want to once you start).

The reason why there are no machines is because they have programming included in your membership. Mostly everything else (except the drinks!) is free. The owners and coaches are attentive and informative. The members are friendly and trust me — you’ll bond quickly with other people. (This is coming from the most introverted person you’ll ever meet.) It’s always clean, things are run extremely organized, and if you don’t want to do the workout, you can do your own thing.

You’re going to feel better about yourself and be well on your way to reach your goals. Coming here will make the journey more enjoyable.

I haven't actually had a class there yet, but I went by today and got a really good first impression of the place. Friendly people and good atmosphere. They are going to let me have a test class tomorrow, so we'll see how it goes.....will report back....OK, it's the following week and I'm reporting back. Seems like the love affair has ended. I'm so sad, but it ended up not being quite what I was lead to believe. I have to take personal training classes first with them and then, even thought I live out of town, I'm not allowed to do the drop-by with them, so I'm really quite disappointed. For someone else though, it might be great.

This place is awesome for crossfit, the trainers here are very attentive and always watching you to make sure you have the correct form so you don't injure your self. the classes typically have 8-15 people.

I really enjoy working out at Torrance CrossFit here in the South Bay. I started with the Fundamentals Course...very out of shape with old injuries. Now I'm doing things I didn't think I could do again - lift my own body weight, do pull-ups, handstand walks... My friends and family have noticed the physical change and my energy level increasing. The WOD’s are always challenging yet scalable. The owners and coaches truly care about everyone who walks through the door. The community here is amazing. The energy is always great. Fun get-togethers after hours and weekends. There’s plenty of parking. It’s spacious and clean. The box and equipment are new. Children are welcome. Need I say more?!

CrossFit is an extremely effective fitness program due to the high intensity of the workouts. But the intensity as well as the complexity of the movements can also make it quite intimidating. At Torrance CrossFit, the coaching staff and all its members eliminate the intimidation factor immediately after you walk through the door. You will likely walk into the gym with the clang of barbells being dropped onto the floor; but to counter that initially threatening sound you will also be welcomed with a friendly greeting from one of the gym’s members, coaches, or owners. Then as you look around, you will notice that the population within Torrance CrossFit is as diverse as the surrounding community. All ages and fitness levels of the South Bay are represented here, and you will discover that you fit in perfectly. And soon enough, you will begin to crave the addicting sound of a clanging barbell.

If you are looking for a second home, this is it! Seriously, I come here to see my friends and while I'm here I work out. The owners, coaches, and members will inspire and motivate you in ways you can't imagine and you will want to work out as often as possible just to be around these people.
