For the past five years, I have set a weight loss goal but failed to achieve it, prioritizing other things instead. This time, I joined a six-week challenge, which also involved Diane and Cole. We joined a Saturday morning Zoom workout group, and I started with the intention of making lifestyle changes and spending time with my family. I made small changes like not eating after 8 pm, getting eight hours of sleep, and planning my meals. An app with daily checkmarks helped me form healthy habits. A big shoutout to Tony Arreola, aka 'Game Time,' for organizing this fantastic challenge with positive reinforcement, personalized attention, and a great community!

I love being a dad, but somewhere between work deadlines and endless school runs, I lost sight of myself. The ‘dad bod’ was real, my energy was gone, and I felt like I was missing out on being truly present with my girls. But I wasn’t going to let that be my story! Tony’s expert guidance and support help me achieve a goal that had been beyond my reach. Yes, he was the accountability partner I wanted, but he provided so much more! I've participated in 2 challenges with Total Body Project led by Tony: Feel Fitter in 5 Days and Get Me Skinny Summer Challenge. Fitter in 5 days focused on building a habit of working out, walking, moving your body. The Get Me Skinny Challenge was to lose 10 lbs. in 6 weeks. I lost 11 lbs. and I'm on the right track for exercise and better eating habits to be consistent in my life. Definitely, feeling better about my body and health and my clothes are fitting better! Tony is the real deal.
His wholistic approach is totally unique and unlike anything else I've ever seen.
I came in stressed out and exhausted and could barely commit to drinking more water in a day, as of this morning I'm down 37 lbs and within striking range of my goal weight. I haven't been this skinny in 15 years, and I've never been this strong or energetic.
In addition to diet and exercise Tony patiently worked with myself and my wife to look at the whole picture as a team, including all of the mindsets needed and traps to avoid to make sure you are successful not just in the short term, but for life.
A lot of gyms and trainers promise quick results but Tony makes it doable and sustainable, that is the difference between him and the rest of the industry.

Tony taught me more about fitness than any other trainer and we never even met in real life! Though I intend to meet him someday, we did all our workouts over his app and met weekly for short inspirational and educational training seminars. He set me up on a workout routine that is sustainable and I learned about how sleep and stress really affect my overall health. When I first met with Tony, I wanted to jump in and start working out right away. Tony gets down to the basics and lays the foundation, focusing on daily actions to build momentum and then building on that. I had labs done last Saturday and I'm very happy with my results. Last year my cholesterol was high 207, and now I'm at 171. My non HDL was 126 last year and now I'm at 107. Glucose, thyroid and blood cell count all are within range. I'm grateful to have Tony on this journey with me. He is an awesome coach!

If you’re looking for someone to help you achieve your dream, Tony Areola is the man for the job. He has coached me up to riding a 130-mile bike ride to completing my first Ironman. No matter what your goals are he will help you get there. His weekly mindset and encouragement always seem to come in at a perfect time. He understands your struggles and will call you out but he does it in a friendly manner. He is empathic when he is supporting you.
Not only does he talk the talk but he also walks the walk. As long as his schedule was open, he wouldn’t mind joining me on an open water swim. This helped me tremendously through overcoming my fear of swimming long distances. He would swim right next to you, then right past you, and wait with a big smile on his face. That’s the trainer you need. One who will get down and dirty with you.

Where do I start?! I joined Tony about 4 months before Covid, then joined him again in May 2021. His advice and motivation, especially the weekly group talks, have been more effective to me than any other diet fab!! Believe me, I've tried many. Not only have I lost weight with his guidance, but I've challenged myself trying new hobbies that I never would have considered before. Let me start by saying Total Body Project is the BEST program out there! I have tried a few other personal trainers and nobody compares. I have been training with Tony for more than 12 years and wouldn’t recommend anyone else.
It’s not just about exercising and getting into shape, he takes the time to educate his clients about how the muscles work and connect. Further, he coaches to the “calories in versus calories out” model which is especially helpful as it relates to nutrition.
Tony will surpass expectations and is committed to your success. He will adjust to your own personal goals and fitness aspirations. Do yourself a favor and use TBP, it’s money well spent!

I’ve been working with Tony and Total Body Project for years now and have continued through the Pandemic via Zoom workouts. He keeps me engaged on working on my overall health and well-being through “goal oriented” workouts which consider rest/recovery, sleep, hydration, nutrition and mental state. For me, he brings a purpose to each workout which is motivating and helps me step up my efforts.
There isn’t anything Tony will ask you to do that he hasn’t already done whether it be exercise routines, sleep plans, nutrition, etc...I respect that and find that to be rare in the world of personal training.
He has trained me through two Xterra Triathlons and an endurance mountain bike race...all were stretch goals for me...I’m not an endurance athlete by way of my background, but I am proud to say I finished all of them with a sense of pride much to the credit of Tony and Total Body Project.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that Total Body Project has changed my life. I initially started with personal training sessions with Tony nearly 10 years ago when I first decided to prioritize my health and fitness. My training sessions with Tony were nothing like what I thought they would be. I’d had trainers before that had made me feel bad about my level of fitness or had me perform exercises that hurt or pushed too hard. Tony was completely different. The workouts were methodical and focused and, while he pushed me, he always explained the reasoning behind what we were doing and all in an incredibly positive and upbeat manner.
If Disneyland is the happiest place on earth, Tony is the happiest person on earth. He truly makes you believe you can achieve your goals because he believes you can. He knows you can. Over the course of my years training with Tony he led me to sign up for and complete my first half marathon then full marathon. We even met up for weekend track running a few times. When I got engaged, he asked me what I needed from him and, together, I reached my fitness goals for my wedding. Tony also trained me through two pregnancies where I remained fit and active throughout.
I’ve since moved away from Orange County and am now in the Total Body Project online training program. I wasn’t sure I would find the same level of accountability or motivation in an online program but it is actually outstanding and the best of both worlds really. I get workouts specifically created for me as well as coaching sessions with Tony via Zoom. During the coaching sessions, Tony helps to identify any barriers to success and we talk through them, creating small goals to accomplish, small steps in the direction of the life I want to live.
The app-based program delivers my goals to me daily via notification and checking them off is just so satisfying. Whether it is a daily step count goal, drinking more water, or time management skills, Total Body Project is using the app to help build small habits that can change your life. Tony has a really cool graph that he shared with me about this.
Did I mention he is also a scholar of habit change and formation? He spends his every waking moment working to be the best trainer in the world. Literally. He has goals too. And I have no doubt he will do it. (Although, I already think he is the best trainer in the world, he is still going to keep working at it.)
That is the true magic of Total Body Project, and Tony Arreola. They help to clarify what it is you truly want out of life. And, while Tony himself can’t do it for you (I honestly believe he would if he could; he’s THAT nice of a guy.), he will devote his time and energy to guide and coach you toward that vision of the ideal lifestyle.
He has high expectations for his clients but he also gives you the tools and guidance you need to meet them. I can’t say enough about Total Body Project but I will cut myself off here. I am so grateful, every day, for having TBP and Tony helping me and believing in me. I want the life of my dreams and, with the help of Tony and TBP, I know I can create it.

Tony Arreola, owner of Total Body Project, has been my trainer for many years. He is highly qualified, skilled and is an excellent motivator. His knowledge about human anatomy and physiology allows him to create personalized workouts based on a client's unique needs. He continuously enhances his industry knowledge with higher education and conducting research. He brings new exercises and techniques to our workouts and ensures proper form. I am consistently motivated and engaged during our sessions.
A few years ago, I injured my rotator cuff during a kick boxing class. I went through physical therapy which helped but I still did not have full movement of my shoulder after the therapy was complete. Tony helped me regain full use of that shoulder and it's been fine ever since.
Tony is passionate about fitness and helping people reach their goals. He has written several books and has developed an on line fitness program in support of helping people.

I've been working out with Tony off and on for almost 10 years now and I can't tell you what a difference he was made in my life! If you told me I would be running triathlons and doing bicycle races when I first started, I would tell you you were crazy.
Total Body Project takes personal training to a whole new level. Unlike other fitness trainers I have trained with, where you have a session every week or so and they will just gives your a set of workouts an then sends you on your way, the guys at Total Body Project tend to cater to your individual needs and goals.
Tony and his team view them self as more of a fitness coaches rather than a simple "trainer" because they knows that one hour a week or even twice a week is only scratching the surface of keeping you in shape and fit.
Instead he will help you make small life choices and changes and he will cheer you on and keep you motivated on your fitness journey. He doesn't judge you for taking a few days easy, unless you have a rigid goal and timeline you need to meet.
Generally his sessions can be fun and leave you feeling better when you leave then when you get there. He has a FANTASTIC attitude that makes you feel good about yourself even when you might be beating yourself up for improvement. He understands that one of the most challenging things with personal fitness can be exhaustion and self defeating attitudes and there is literally no one better at keeping you from these pitfalls.
But don't let that sell you short, if you have a goal you need to meet, he will do everything possible to get you there. He isn't afraid to kick it into high gear when that's what you want. I have definitely had those sessions with him where I can barely move after. He just tends to use them sparingly, at your pace preferring that you are able to keep consistent workouts both in and outside of his training sessions. Because that's what gives you REAL RESULTS!
In short, you get out of it what you put in, but he makes it easy to put in, and he will make sure you get the maximum benefit for your effort.
