If you’re looking to change your lifestyle and want to achieve your goals, whether it is to lose weight or build muscle look no further. This is the place to be!
The one thing that stands out to me is how much my trainer Stefon pays attention to detail and is able to customize my workout and meal plans accordingly to my goals. Another aspect that I appreciate about Stefon is his flexibility with scheduling and accommodations.
The community in this location is amazing. It truly feels like a little family. The other trainers at this location are also very helpful and will also take the time to get to know you.

I joined Train with Dave in the first week of April, and with Braeden as my trainer, I’ve already lost 33 pounds as of September 24, 2025. My ultimate goal is to lose 70 pounds, and with Braeden’s help, that goal feels completely achievable.

I just hit my 3 month mark and I am so excited about my results so far! I've been training with Dominic and I can't say enough about how easy it has been to work with him. Not only does he guide me through my workouts and form, he's also kept me on track with my goals. My initial goal was to tone up and lose 10lbs of fat, and we accomplished that quickly. I'm continuing to lose weight and gain muscle; at this point I'm addicted and even more motivated to keep going.

I have been going to Train With Dave for the last nine months, and everyone here is great. (Although there is someone who keeps bragging about being able to do a backflip, and I have yet to see it, so the jury is still out on that.)
I first joined after coming back from a business trip and noticing that some of my lifts at my home gym were falling off. I’ve been on a pretty intense weight-loss journey for over a year now, so losing some strength was to be expected.
Braiden, my trainer, has not only been a bastion of knowledge but also a phenomenal person to work with. He’s been incredibly supportive with any physical or nutritional limitations or requirements I’ve had.
One of the best things about TWD is their app. Having a central place where you and your trainer can track nutrition, exercises, goals, and progress over time is fantastic.
If you are in the market for personal training, you should definitely check out this gym.

I started training here with the intention of only staying for a few months. I had a Tough Mudder coming up and I figured that whatever I learned in those few months, I could replicate on my own in the gym. Well...the race came and went and I'm still here.
So what's kept me here?
1. They keep me focused.
First it was the race, then it was for confidence, now its to supplement my lion dance training; it's been really awesome getting guidance with goal setting. If left to my own devices, my go-to response is "I just like feeling strong." Which is fine, but lacks specificity, and that translates to difficulty deciding a training regime. Which leads to my second point.
2. They come up with a program for you.
Idk about you, but I have hundreds of exercise videos. I spent more time searching and saving them than actually doing any of them. Now I don't have to worry about that.
3.Consistent Gym Buddy
If you're the kind of person that needs a friend to keep you accountable, a personal trainer is a good idea. I like the fact that you've always got a spotter.
4. They work with your schedule.
While it is helpful to stick to a consistent schedule, life happens. I've lost track of how many times I've had to reschedule because of work, but a quick text to my trainer and I've got a different session set. (Common courtesy still applies, however! Gotta give a heads up with sufficient time!)
5. Clean, safe environment
I've been to gyms before, and I've had my share of both wholesome as well as distasteful encounters. Training here is refreshingly...safe? Idk if that's the word for it, but its welcoming and everyone is supportive. You've got people of all ages and from all walks of life with ultimately training to become stronger, healthier versions of ourselves, and its fantastic.
6. Experienced trainers
The trainers here have different areas of focus and expertise, so you're bound to find one that's a good match for you. With backgrounds ranging from martial arts, breakdancing, gymnastics, and Olympic style weightlifting, they all have a solid athletic foundation. Paired with their knowledge as trainers (e.g. biomechanics of different exercises + ability to teach), you can feel confident that they're training you well.
7. The results are real
Did I make it through the whole race? Heck yes. And with more energy left than my friends. Did I wear a crop top for the first time ever this summer? Yup. Can I play the role of dragon head for an entire practice because of my stronger than ever shoulders? You bet.
I'm stronger and healthier than I've ever been, and that alone makes training here worth it.

Training with Dave has completely changed my approach to fitness. I work with Dom, and his coaching has been exceptional. The program combines early-morning in-person sessions, food and workout tracking in the app, and regular check-ins that keep me accountable — Dom even messages me on days off to remind me to stay consistent.
The results speak for themselves: I’ve lost 20 lbs in about 5 months and rebuilt muscle I had lost over the years. As I approach 40, getting my strength back was a huge priority for me, and this program has helped me do it in a sustainable way.
The 6 AM workouts fit perfectly into my schedule, and the energy of training with others pushes me to keep showing up. Highly recommend this gym if you want a structured, supportive program that gets real results.

Never really trained in my life. Went intermittently to the gym before I found Train with Dave. My cousin introduced me to this place and I'm so glad he did, this place is outstanding. I highly recommend Dominic as a trainer, he has a background in gymnastics and makes it easier to learn the technicalities of each workout. If anyone wants a cool place to workout and learn the ropes then this is the place!

Been training here with Dominic twice a week for a few months and am definitely feel stronger and better! Everyone here is super welcoming. The gym is a good size and never too crowded. Dominic is a great trainer - always on top of things and is attentive even when there are other clients at the same hour. He does a great job pushing you to improve each week which is where the value of a personal trainer comes in. Highly recommend!

I’ve been training at Train with Dave since late April, and in just three months, I’ve lost nearly 20 pounds and gained 5 pounds of muscle! This is my first time working with a personal trainer, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My trainer, John V., is incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and patient. He meets me exactly where I’m at while still pushing me to lift heavier and challenge myself in ways I never would have on my own.
The accountability and motivation I’ve received from John have been key to my progress. He’s always encouraging, and I truly feel supported every step of the way.
The gym itself is small and intimate, which I love. No waiting for machines or feeling lost in a crowd like you do at big commercial gyms. Everyone here (members and trainers) is welcoming and friendly. I’ve never once felt out of place; I’ve always felt seen, supported, and motivated.
Another huge plus is their flexibility with scheduling, which makes it so much easier to stay consistent. In addition to the in-person sessions, I also have access to personalized at-home workouts and nutritional guidance, which helps me stay on track even on busy days.
If you're looking to build strength, lose weight, or just feel better in your body with expert support, I can’t recommend Train with Dave (and especially John) enough!

The best of the best! No matter where you are in your fitness journey, whether you're a novice in the gym or a trained athlete, the folks at TWD will meet you where you are and take you even further. It's more than just personal training, they're there with you each step of the way to make sure your nutrition is right, you're forming good habits in your day to day life, and you're informed with all the knowledge you need to stay consistent. They'll even answer any questions you have outside of the gym via personal text. No matter what your goals are, they will tailor the program to ensure you hit those goals and even go a step further to tailor it to enhance your current lifestyle. For example, I'm a drummer and my trainer Stefan put exercises in my regimen that have enhanced my drumming by building those specific muscles without me even asking! Thanks Stefan! To top it all off, if that isn't enough, the community at the gym is so welcoming. Everyone there is so kind and are genuinely happy to see you progress in your journey. Coming here is one of my favorite parts of the week and I'm so glad I found them. If you're ready to take your fitness seriously, don't go anywhere else.

If you are looking for a place to train and want to see real results go to Train with Dave in Orange. The staff is incredible and the facility is always clean. You get to meet your fitness goals and meet new friends. And the trainers are awesome. Stefan is my trainer and he is always making sure that I am getting the most out of my workout. He even lets me whine during my training and tries not to laugh too hard. LOL.
If getting fit is your goal and you are anything like me (Having no idea what exercises to do or the correct form to do them) get over to Train with Dave OC. You won't be disappointed.

I have been training here for over 4 months now. I am very happy with the trainers and staff here. My personal trainer Dom is very knowledgeable when it comes to nutrition and he’s a great motivator when it comes to the workouts. After some health issues over the last two years, I wanted to find a place where I could safely and effectively strength train. After just 10 weeks at Train with Dave (going twice a week), I'm down 9 pounds and feeling stronger and more confident than ever. My journey to be in the best shape has been a rollercoaster after marriage and kids. I've tried Noom, virtual trainers, intermittent fasting - and I've always yo-yoed. I've gone through ACL and Meniscus surgery and COVID like everyone else and now being 41 - I realized I needed in person accountability that communicates with me in real time and not from another country and time zone.
I started my journey with Braedon at 201 lbs and 22.1% body fat in January 2025. The heaviest I have ever been. Decided to go all out 4x a week and really stick with the transformation even as a busy executive with 2 kids and constant traveling. 2 months in - I'm down 10 lbs and at 16.5% body fat and with my horrible luck, I tore my Achilles tendon.
I conveyed I didn't want to stop and Braedon was great enough to adjust my workout to continue my journey in my cast. He adjusted my calories (even harder on a vegetarian diet) and one month later, I'm down to 180 lbs and abs are finally starting to show up. Braedon has been absolutely critical with my journey so far with the right motivation and push, but most importantly he took the thinking away from me and is always communicating with me in real time. He sets me up for success when I travel and tells me what I should eat when I'm out at restaurants or meetings. He does everything to make sure I don't regress.
Even Dave himself has showed up at my house to make sure I'm eating right. They are completely invested in my journey and this beats anything virtual or app related so far.

This small gym provides personalized instruction , workouts designed to achieve goals, and attention to form and injury prevention. I particularly like their app which provides recordkeeping and progress measuring function along with a huge library of exercises with instructional videos. My trainer is Adrian who is the absolute best.
Despite my super busy schedule and life, we have made great progress in my fitness goals. I've lost at least 5lbs (despite holidays), and I am already significantly stronger. Best part is, I already see a difference in how clothes fit. To get to these goals, Adrian has gone above and beyond in keeping me accountable to keeping track of calories and steps. He has also been the best at accommodating my busy schedule and tailoring workouts to my current needs/health. I was hesitant to sign up for workout classes or focus on fitness in the past due to my crazy work hours and feeling like I could not juggle another thing in my plate, but Adrian makes it easy. Thanks so much, Adrian! He is also super nice, friendly, and funny which makes training sessions a nice break.
The facilities are clean and well-maintained. Overhead music is perfect for workouts. And the other staff I've met are just as lovely.

Adrian 100% puts up with me
Workouts- I have the WEIRDEST physical limitations that he works around. In the past with other trainers their only solutions were to help me stretch my shoulder/neck or to work through the pain which has sent me to urgent care more than once. In addition to making it difficult for me to work (I travel a lot and the luggage is no joke). When my shoulder starts flaring up he knows to ask me "is it tiring or in pain" because we both know there's a difference. We work around the issues to modify workouts, or try new ones. But he doesn't let me whimp out of workouts. He knows I hate weighted step ups with a passion and adds it every time, then laughs at me when he asks what's next on the list .
Nutrition- I have a very busy lifestyle, and he texts me to remind me to get my protein in and such which is nice because sometimes life gets in the way and I go for whatever is convenient lol. He understands my lifestyle doesn't always have the most options for healthy meals (I'm in 2 hotels a month due to work and survive thanks to DoorDash). But I know (and have) can text Adrian and ask what is the best option from a specific place to try and make a smarter decision.
Environment- we have fun! We change up the music once in a while, sometimes it's the big booty playlist, and recently a little disney and some warrior type music idk.
Ive also become friends with one of the other girls he trains because we all workout together. Because of my travel schedule (along with one of the girls he trains with me) we sometimes have to adjust the schedule which is never a hassle. Also we roast each other. That is honestly one of the most important factors is that he roasts us, but can handle getting it back

Overall as a plus size woman who has trained with multiple trainers within the past 5 years, adrian is my fav. I have had trainers assume I wasn't taking things seriously, told me to work thru the pain (injuring myself more), companies that kept switching trainers every 2 weeks and more. So far with Adrian (who's trained me since October
2023) | have lost around 75 pounds, gained new gym buddies, and am getting ready for my next pageant (which includes a swimsuit competition) and know I'll be just fine with Adrian as my trainer.

Started training with this gym in September this year (Sept. 2024) & so far it’s been a fantastic experience. The staff & trainers are welcoming & warm and have been flexible and accommodating of my schedule especially if I needed any last minute changes. I am so glad to have discovered Train with Dave. I had never heard of them until I saw the sign next to my PT office. I gave up training after 10 years when the pandemic hit. After 5 years I signed up with TWD and it’s the best decision I’ve made in ages. In my first 3 months I have become stronger than I was when I quit 5 years ago. Dominic is totally knowledgeable about helping me at the age of 73 make the most of every workout. I look forward to a long history with TWD and a more fit “me” into the 8th decade.

I’ve been training at Train With Dave – Orange three days a week for the past three months and I’ve had a great experience with great results! I have already lost 2 inches off my waist while having much more strength and muscle definition. I’m already having to buy new clothes in smaller sizes! Dominic is incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. He consistently provides valuable guidance on proper form, which has made a big difference in maximizing my workouts to make them effective and safe. He also adjusts workouts, weights and reps as needed based on my performance and ability to keep them challenging and productive which keeps me progressing. Because of this, I really like that I never have to worry about doing too much or not enough which ensures my time and effort working out is efficient for best results.
The convenience of their app is also a huge plus. It shows and tracks your exercise plan, weight and body measurements among other helpful info. It is also used to track my food intake with custom calories, protein, and macros targets. This has been very helpful to know what and how much to eat. Dominic also gives advice on adjusting meals to meet the macros targets he has set for me.
If you’re looking for personalized training, expert guidance, and noticeable results, I highly recommend Train With Dave - Orange! It’s been a game-changer for me, and I just wish I had started sooner.

I train with Adrian 1-2 times a week , but I have work out plans 3 times a week. My initial goal was to get stronger because I wanted to prevent back problems in the future and prevent osteoporosis via lifting. This is the place to go to if you want to reach your fitness goals. There are multiple facets of the training here that sets this program apart from other trainers I have worked with in the past. First, the time flexibility available with Jake, the trainer here at Laguna Hills, is unreal. Because of the demands of my profession, I often offer Jake odd times and differing schedules every week but he has given that time for me which I feel goes above and beyond what I would anticipate a trainer would do. Second, Jake not only focuses on the workouts themselves, but also listens and addresses any odd idiosyncrasies and habits I have. Other trainers often just goes "my way or the highway" but not Jake. Third was his suggestions on nutrition, which is actually more important than the workout. His tips on nutrition helped me with achieving my macro goals much more readily. He takes the time to take a look at any cookbooks I buy plus gives me invaluable tips on items I can buy easily that can increase protein intake. Fourth, Jake answers in a very thorough and detailed manner, the reasons behind why I should eat certain foods, why I perform certain exercises, why such exercises should be performed a particular way, and implementation of science and physiology behind the exercise program. Empowered by his education, everything I do makes sense and this motivates me through my entire training program. Finally, Jake takes feedback very well and any issues I present to the program are addressed very professionally and instead of just shooting down my comments, the upper management actively utilizes my comments to continually improve the program. Because of these intangibles and the guidance of Jake, I achieved goals I never thought possible. I didn't think I can go from 18% to 10% body fat in only 6 months! I have abs now that show even at rest! New body led to new confidence and a more positive outlook in life. The changes here are unreal. I thought I needed a year, especially with the tough professional life I have. I am very satisfied to have found Train with Dave for my fitness goals!

My experience has been amazing with Train with Dave. Due to the pandemic, I had been on an almost 4-year hiatus from exercise and knew I had to get back into the habit of moving again to maintain my health and overall well-being. Though my new apartment has a gym, I had been unable to will myself to go and exercise. So I decided to get a trainer. Since starting in November of 2023, my trainer Stefan has helped me to lose 10 lbs, gain almost 8% in muscle mass, and lose almost 10% of my body fat. this review is beyond overdue, given that my LAST session was over a year ago. even so, despite pregnancy brain and new mom brain, i could never forget the incredible experience that i had at train with dave, specifically because of Coach Mike. i am a hard person to get in the gym. i don’t want to go, i don’t enjoy it, and i’m really stubborn about it. but it never failed that as soon as i walked in, Mike would greet me, we’d start chatting, and i was happy to be there. he accommodated any and all modifications, and he knew when i was just being lazy and it was time to challenge myself. and as difficult as it is to get me in the gym, it is even harder to get me out of the kitchen (or in my case, the takeout). Mike walked me through what i needed to do to address both my daily calorie goal and my love for food. and when i inevitably walked in on Monday morning with a myFitnessPal full of mistakes, he never put me down but rather encouraged me to start over and try again. now, i will say from when i began to when i left, i definitely didn’t lose weight (but that was more likely due to the growing child in my belly as opposed to Mike’s training abilities). i don’t think Mike trains clients regularly anymore, but i know he plays a key role in ensuring the coaches who do train are up to par. and if they’re even half as good as he is, you’re in for a great training experience.

David Lee is the best trainer! I have gone to so many gyms and tried so many different workouts and diets for years, and this is the only one that has been able to stick and actually work for me. I would always get bored or not enjoy the workout, but the workouts are customized and change every few weeks. I never really enjoyed the gym before, but I love it now! I also didn't know my small self would ever be able to lift as much as I am able to. :) David is so knowledgeable, helpful, and motivating. I joined this gym to lose weight for my wedding. I was able to lose the 15lbs I needed and even enjoyed the process along the way! I felt so good and confident on my wedding day in my dress! This is something I hadn't felt in years.
When I initially joined, I only planned on doing this until my wedding, but I enjoyed it so much I continued and will continue to go. I realized I wasn't disciplined enough to do this on my own. & here I am 2.5 years later and counting and love it! This is something I will do to sustain a healthy lifestyle for me. Now that I have longer term goals vs. short term goals, David altered my plan to fit my new goals! David knows I love food, especially carbs, and his approach is something that is so ideal for me!!! For the past three months, I have been working with Stefan, and I have had an incredible experience! When it comes to my food difficulties, Stefan is sympathetic and patient. To help me reach my goals, he provides me with healthier food options. He gently reminds me of my goals and helps me get back on track after a cheat day or two, without making me feel bad about it . I've been going to Train With Dave since April 2022, and it's a fantastic gym! Dave did my girlfriend and I's initial consultation and was extremely friendly and informative, and didn't do any hard sell at all. After we signed up we met our trainer Gio, who is an incredibly personable and knowledgeable trainer. Whenever we walk in he makes us feel welcome and asks about our day.
The location in Orange is smallish, but it doesn't feel like it. There are two levels, the lower level is squat racks, leg press, and hip thrust stations with a lot of open space for ground work and bodyweight stuff. The upper level, just four steps up, is flat and incline bench, Smith machine, dumb bells, and cables. The whole place is laid out quite well and unless it's very busy you're never interfering with other lifters.
Gio does excellent work out programming, and if you have issues like impingement or poor mobility he will work around it. He provides great feedback on form and gives tips for lifts. All the other trainers are friendly too. I can hear them getting to know their clients personally in between sets.
All the clients are given a meal plan that's custom fit to their particular goals, so if you want basic weight loss you get one plan, if you want to pack on slabs of muscle you get a different plan. All tailored to your needs. Your trainer will adjust it throughout the program so you never plateau much at all.
I've made a ton of progress in my fitness and strength journey at Train With Dave, and I know it's only the beginning. No matter if you're a complete newbie or know a little bit about lifting already Train With Dave can get you to where you want to be.

My trainer Lauren has been super supportive and understanding of my limitations (I have long haul covid) but also knows how to push me forward. If you have a previous injury work with David from South Africa! I walked into the gym limping and stiff ankle and he showed me how to properly use my whole body not just my ankle. He helped me walk properly again and use my whole body so I wasn’t in so much pain anymore. I learned from David way more than my physical therapist. I’m walking properly without a limp or pain. I can squat and and lift 100lbs. I never imagine I can do that.

Lauren is lovely. The schedule is flexible enough to accommodate when I need to adjust or skip and there's the option to have another trainer if I need a time she's booked. The program isn't novel but the accountability on nutrition/ water and help with the workouts from form to set up has been a great fit for me. I was surprised with how professional everyone is at TWD. When I first came in I had no idea about anything related to fitness and healthy habits and this place has changed that for me. I train with Adrian twice a week and he continuously encourages me to improve. Where should I start? I came across Train with Dave on Yelp some time ago but never gave it a try. I'm delighted I've finally started training here. I used to go to the gym, but I never felt like I was making progress or that I was doing it right. I needed to make significant progress, and Train with Dave gave me that. In January 2023, I began working out with Chandler, a fantastic dude. Although the workouts were challenging, I was happy to be in a welcoming and inspiring environment. I live a very big geek, video games, comic books, cosplay, anime. Working out is pretty far from the thing id like to do, might even say i dread it. But i also realized im getting to the point that i was getting sick so decided to take a chance since i didnt know what i was doing. Ive been with train with dave for a month now and they partnered me with Stefan. ive lost a good amount and have been able to fit into my old shirts. I also get less tired doing day to day activities.
Its not easy, but they have my back in working towards my goals and have helped me and answered any question i have or stuff im unsure of.

I’ve been training here for a month and it has changed the way I view exercise! My trainer, Adrian, is extremely knowledgeable and diligent in getting me to my fitness goals. Lifting weights at the gym used to be a daunting task for a girl like me, without any knowledge of proper form or the number of reps I should be doing.
Having Adrian next to me to guide me along the way is super helpful! He not only corrects my form, but also teach me the science behind the techniques and how to avoid injury (very important!). This gym has a comprehensive program that also integrates nutrition and proper sleep.

I've started a training program with Train with Dave under Shane for about two months now and would highly recommend it. I work from home and have been unmotivated and not accountable for my health. Shane is great at coaching me on how to do each exercise correctly, sharing nutrition tips, and knowing when to push me to try more than what I thought I'm capable of. I found this gym and joined in January of 2023 and it has been the best decision I could have made for my health. I have already lost 20 lbs and continue to drop weekly. My trainer is Stefan and he has been incredibly helpful throughout the process. I am lifting more that I ever thought possible and my nutrition has improved immensely. Stefan has really worked with me to get my nutrition on track while still enjoying the foods I love most and allowing me to have the occasional drink. As a full time student and single mom, he has worked around my schedule and always fits me in wherever her can. I found TWD through their amazing Google and Yelp reviews back in the beginning of this year and decided to give them a try even though I’d been out of the gym for almost 2 years! I was very hesitant to start since I had never done weight training before only cardio, but I was paired with Brandon initially and I couldn’t have been happier and motivated. Due to unforeseen circumstances I was paired with another trainer, Gio, and the transition was very smooth! Right away Gio made sure he was up to date on my plan, was and is very attentive, checks in on weekends, is very knowledgeable, flexible, always available for questions especially when I am looking for alternative healthier fast food options! I honestly couldn’t be happier with him as my new trainer!
Another trainer I am paired with when I want to switch to morning sessions if I have the day off is Shane and he is another great trainer! You can’t go wrong with anyone but those are the three that I have had personal experience with and cannot recommend enough! I’ve been Training with Dave for the past 2 months. Gio was assigned as my trainer and it couldn't get any better :). He's cared about the balance issues I face due to a chronic illness and has customized my training program to such needs. He’s checking constantly to guide me on better food choices.
During training, Gio always makes sure I use proper form, he always cheers me up and pushes me harder. TWD has been a great investment so far; in only 2 months I’ve lost 2.3% of body fat and have increased my lean body mass by 4.8% :)

I have been at Train with Dave’s for over a year. Every week I go in and leave feeling ready to tackle the week. I have a neuromuscular disease, called Friedreich’s Ataxia, and in a wheelchair. For the past three months, I have been a client. Even though it's a small, exclusive gym for personal training, it works perfectly for what it's intended to achieve. There are never more than two clients under a trainer's care at once. But typically, it's more of a one-on-one situation. Your goals are discussed at your appointment, and if you decide to enroll, you are weighed and measured so that your development may be monitored. They assist with nutrition as well. I noticed an improvement in my first month, and by month two, I could both see and feel major changes. Everyone there is welcoming and accommodating. Normally, I dread exercising, but my trainer Brandon makes going in fun.

I couldn't walk a week before I started working at TWD. I suffered a lower back injury at a CrossFit competition in 2017 that has flared up multiple times. I had a previous eating disorder that had taken five years for me to recover from (it was brought on by a previous trainer from another club who put me on a 1200 calorie diet for three years). I came to the conclusion that something needed to change. Dave matched me up with Dixie when we first met. I exceeded my initial weight loss goal within the first six months.
I've trained in a variety of ways and visited a lot of gyms, but Dixie is by far the best. She is cautious around my lower back and finds ways for me to exercise even when my lower back isn't feeling well. She has been very encouraging and patient with me. She is attentive to my concerns and attempts to advance my objectives. Most importantly, even when I was at my worst, I never felt judged.

Honestly, by far the best place to get into shape. Can't think of a better place to do so! The trainers at this gym -which is very nice- are unlike any others I've had before; they really work hard to make sure you get the body you want! Chandler, in specific, has a method that guarantees results. No cap. Not once during my time with other trainers (outside of this gym) did I see a physique I liked until now. David Lee is the best trainer I’ve had. His practical, fundamental approach combined with his knowledge and experience translate to maximum value out of my sessions. The ROI and personalization is as good as you’re going to get, in my opinion. I’ve been to so many other gyms where the business model of profits over people results in the trainers being stretched way too thin to truly be invested in your success. It just ends up feeling like being on an assembly line with barbells.

I have been carrying a significant amount of weight since I broke my foot 10 years ago and while I have lost some of the weight on a few occasions (and then gained some of it back) I was giving up hope that I would get back to a healthy place. Thanks to Dixie and Train with Dave I am well on my way to achieving my goal. I will be 49 in less than a month and at this age aches and pains are as much as a concern with the added weight as the aesthetics. Michael and I have been working out together, and his approach to training has always been based on knowing what the customer needs. Adjusting the regimens after suffering an injury has always been quite beneficial. Nutrition plays a significant role in training, therefore I found it challenging to keep track of my macros, but he simplifies it for me. I have been training with TWD for almost 8 months now and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. David Lee is my trainer and the amount of fitness and nutritional knowledge he has shared and helped me with has made this whole experience alone worth it. I came into this never having been to the gym before and was really just hoping for some guidance on getting started on working out. But my experience so far has completely exceeded my expectations and totally changed my outlook on fitness and health in general.
My initial consultation with Dave was very quick and easy to follow and I immediately got on a personalized nutrition plan and 4-time/week program that accommodated my schedule. David was super patient and really took his time showing me stretches and exercises to make sure I was doing it right which I greatly appreciated. I think the most daunting thing about starting to go to the gym is not knowing what you’re doing so having someone to guide me through it was exactly what I needed. Eventually, I got all the exercises down and my fitness goals started to feel so much more attainable. I’ve lost over 20 lbs of fat and gained about 10 lbs of muscle during my training so far and don’t plan on stopping that progress any time soon! I feel like every session, I learn something new from David and I’ve gained so much more confidence than I’ve ever had. David has answered any questions I had (which was a lot) and really catered the program to fit my needs, whether that’s helping me get my diet on track or updating exercise routines to get the most out of each session. I started at Train With Dave back in June and I was in "the worst" shape of my life. Day 1 was just a warm up but for my body it was brutal but once you get past that 1st week, your mind just pushes you to keep going. My trainer Shane has been so great with planning out my workouts at my pace, even if I think I can go more on weights, he will gradually up the weights so I don't tire myself out too quickly and very insistent on taking those breaks in-between reps. So in the last 5 months I have noticed great changes in my mobility and endurance. I am physically able to do more outdoor activities without getting fatigued quickly and mentally I feel like on top of the world after each and every workout. I am still not at the goal that I want to be at but one thing you will learn if you don't know already that this all takes time, no overnight changes. If you keep pushing yourself and being consistent in these workouts then I promise you will start to notice the changes you want to see. 5 stars for this gym and 5 stars to my trainer Shane.

I got referred to Train With Dave by my best friend and she told me to go to Anthony. Best. Decision. Ever. Anthony is straight king in fitness. My goal wasn't to lose weight - it was just to be consistent with working out and get stronger. Anthony listened to my goals and empowered me. 8 months later, and I've never felt and looked better!
For real though, Anthony is the best trainer. He tailors the workouts for your goals and body. He adjusts where necessary, constantly ensures proper form, and really gives you a personal experience. The past months before I signed up here I stopped working out for a while and gained some pounds. Ive been in sports and weight lifted before so I was hesitant in signing up for personal training because I didn’t feel like I needed it. Words cannot adequately express how enjoyable my experience has been working out at Train With Dave. I’ve been training with Anthony (and Chandler) for about 3 months. I started joining Train With Dave (TWD) back in July 2021. Working out is just hard when you are running a business because finding the motivation is hard when you are juggling different things. After starting, I realized this was a very different protocol or approach to fitness than I had ever tried.

These past couple of years have been a grind for my wife and I. Between moving to Orange, getting our kids acclimated, staying on top of work, and welcoming our third child in December, we found ourselves neglecting our personal health.
My wife scheduled a consultation, and Mike broke down the program and different options available for our training. We signed up that day and set some goals.
The next day, I was training with Shane on a program he designed specifically for me. This was about 3 months ago. Since then, I've lost ~ 13 lbs, 9% body fat, and increased my muscle mass. On top of that, I've learned so much about fitness and nutrition. I look forward to every day of training. What made be book a consultation was the reviews on Yelp but what made me sign up was the plan.
This quote has always stayed with me “if your trainer doesn’t give you a plan outside of the gym then he/she is just a really good workout partner”
Well this place gives you it all! It’s worth every penny. I have been given a plan for my workouts in the gym (with my trainer), workouts for when I’m home/alone, AND a nutrition plan!
Me and my trainer consistently check in and go over what’s missing and whats working. We’re constantly tweaking the plan to make it work for my preferences and lifestyle.
This is the longest I have ever been so consistent and it’s because I feel challenged, supported AND am seeing real results.

I found TWD last year and apprehensively came in for a consultation with Dave. To be honest, my plan was to sit on whatever information I got for a while before I made a decision but Dave was so informative and had so much confidence that they would be able to help me achieve my goals that I signed up for six months of training. Needless to say, I’ve been quite happy with my experience now that it’s coming up on a year with them.
My trainer is Stefan and he’s been pivotal in my transformation. He’s incredibly passionate about fitness, nutrition, and the science behind it all; and holds a world of knowledge that can only come from years of experience training clients who have found success. I came to TWD with very little experience in the gym and a skewed perception of what a “good diet” consists of, but Stefan has been there every step of the way to guide me. It’s not just the proper forms and the techniques and the tips on nutrition that apply to everyone - together, we’ve been able to find what specifically works for ME and I think that’s what sets Stefan and TWD apart. He’s also enjoyable to work with, challenges you every session, and bonus: will be your personal hype man.
I came here with the goal of losing weight/dropping body fat specifically for my wedding but what I found is an entirely different outlook on what it means to be healthy. My mental health has drastically improved as well, I’m so much stronger, and I actually enjoy being active (this coming from someone who practically failed PE all through high school lol).

I’ve been at TWD since November 2021 and have noticed a big difference in my life. Before I started training here, I was in physical therapy. When I got cleared, I told Mike & Dixie (my trainers) that I really wanted to focus on my form so I didn’t end up back in PT. I decided to get a personal trainer 2 months ago and I found Train with Dave on Yelp. I met with Dave the same day and got paired with Anthony. This was my first time getting a personal trainer and I must say I've been thoroughly satisfied so far with the work that Anthony has done. What sets him apart is his knowledge. i've been coming here for almost a year now, and it started off rocky because i was so overwhelmed, but Stefan and Dave have been my cheerleaders even though I took a three-month break. During the break, I was struggling to stay on top of my workout schedule and diet that I created while with Stefan; however, Stefan would check up with me here and there to make sure I am doing okay and he was always glad to provide me with tips/advice that I can utilize to improve my habits. TWD is different than your typical personal trainer - they help you with nutrition, macro tracking, while supporting you through the process through providing you with helpful information and guidance. They set up a plan for you and make the information digestible and easy to process. They help build and coach you up to compound lifting (so if you're a beginner - don't be scared!).
They also are a group of trainers of which helps build a more community feel to training. I heard that they even do weekly collaborative round table discussions with all of the personal trainers as a group to brainstorm on how to be better for their clients. Now that's dedication.

Stefan, from the very beginning, has been extremely responsive and patient with all my questions throughout my training and even now, months after I stopped formally training with them on a regular basis.
