Train With Sturm - Personal Training is located in Pacific Beach, San Diego. Helping men and women improve their core and posture through strength training as well as losing weight and relieving pain. Jeremy Sturm has helped many clients achieve their goals and is an energetic and fun personal trainer to work with. Train With Sturm offers a free Personal training assessment so you can make an informed choice if this is where you want to be.
Training out of a private gym, MB PERFORMANCE is not open for public membership and is reserved for Personal Trainers and Clients only. The Pacific Beach gym is equipped with Rogue fitness products, the industry standard and the private gym maintains the highest level of cleanliness.

Jeremy has been my trainer for a couple years now. I first started going to him because I was having trouble with arthritis in my knee and started falling regularly. Jeremy has been great at identifying problems and developing solutions.
Jeremy spends a lot of time getting to know his clients' issues and creating innovative ways to build up strength and balance. He moves at a consistent pace.

Jeremy, Train with Sturm, is a 5-star personal strength and performance trainer. During the complimentary intake, Jeremy correctly assessed I needed to focus on my posterior chain to achieve my goal of performing an L-sit. Over the weeks of coaching, I've never been bored with the exercises - Jeremy incorporates so much variety! He was also able to help when I was sore (with extra stretching) or needed modification. Jeremy was my first personal training experience and he made the process super comfortable and approachable. I’d been working out for years but never in this setting and he was able to tailor the workouts to my skill level and push me further without ever feeling overwhelming. While I was visiting from New Zealand, I wanted to make sure I kept my strength up on vacation.
I reached out to a few personal trainers in the Pacific Beach area before I arrived in San Diego but Jeremy got in contact with me first.
As a 25-year-old with Rheumatoid Arthritis, I appreciated the time he took to assess my athletic ability and learn about my goals.
Even after just one session, Jeremy gave me tips on how I could improve my technique to minimise any potential injury and protect my joints.
This made me feel comfortable to push myself in the gym which can sometimes be difficult for me with my health condition.
If you are looking for a trainer who will listen to your specific needs and provide a safe environment for you to push yourself - I would highly recommend Jeremy.
I will definitely be returning to his training sessions when I return to San Diego.

Making the decision to train with Jeremy has been nothing short of remarkable for me. I suffer from chronic pain in my back and hips and most days had acute pain and trouble walking. In less than 4 months Jeremey has transformed my health and mobility. Twice a week we methodically work on strengthening, balance and he has even transformed my nutrition. I can’t recommend Jeremy enough… my only regret is that I didn’t find him earlier!

Jeremy gave me what I needed vs what I wanted. I walked in with pretty typical goals of weight loss and wanting to gain more strength, but after telling him my plans to do more hiking over the next year, he gave me what I actually needed to get ready for the trails.
He put together a solid plan to tackle my mobility, which I did not realize I desperately needed. We also worked on weight training and conditioning. Since I was only in town for three months, we chose a 3 times per week training schedule. On top of that I walked and/or biked 1.7 miles to studio from my location in Mission Bay.
I saw improvements rather quickly and having hit a few trails every weekend since working with Jeremy, I can see a huge difference in my knees and ankles during and after hiking. My footing is a lot more solid, getting winded on trails has gone down significantly, and energy while hiking has gone up.
Since most of my time is spent on the road, I cannot get to a gym at all so Jeremy worked with me to create an at home routine with resistance bands and plenty of mobility exercises which I now do a on a regular basis.
Overall, the experience of working with Jeremy was fun, professional, and he is very knowledgeable in his craft while being quite personable with some fun storytelling in between sets.

Training with Jeremy has truly been a life changing experience for me. I’ve never been able to work out consistently, I always viewed it as a chore and would give up after a few weeks. Starting something like this can be intimidating but Jeremy made it fun for me and it’s the first time I’ve looked forward to working out and have seen real progress. He really focuses on your personal needs and makes sure you’re training safely and effectively. I would highly recommend Jeremy to anyone looking to get in better shape and change the way they view going to the gym!

I've been training with Jeremy for about 5 months now. Since working with him I have felt more confident in the gym. I first walked in there not knowing how to do anything. I also told him that I had knee problems and if we could focus on any workouts that would not strain or cause pain in my knees. Throughout all of our workouts, he is constantly making sure I'm doing okay with whatever we're doing.
Since working with him, he has gotten me from using small dumb bells for hip thrusts to now over 200lbs. I love the fact that I see the difference and I am getting STRONGER! He continues to push me every week!
I love the energy he brings to each session. Even when I'm not feeling 100% walking in, I always leave feeling like he motivated me to do 100%.
I love how there is always a check in at the beginning of each session. "How are we feeling? Feeling good, feeling rested?" He always tries to pay attention to how I am and will adjust to make sure I am still listening to my body and doing what is safe for it.
For example, I had a car accident recently and he made sure to do lots of stretching with me and instead of hitting a new PR, he helped me by just doing maintenance for our session.
Not only is he super easy to talk to in between sets, he is very knowledgeable and educated about exercising and the human body. I have the most confidence in him and the way he treats his clients. He is extremely professional and I would recommend him to anyone!

Jeremy is the kind of guy you want to be friends with. He is dedicated to his career and clients, his is incredibly thorough in his approach and tries to understand what his clients want and helps them understand what they need and why they need it. He actually listens to you and doesn’t just give you a cookie cutter workout. He attentive, and even created a personalized nutrition plan to help me reach my goals!
As a former college athlete I was a bit hesitant to see a trainer, but Jeremy’s approach and knowledge were a refreshing change to the grind and monotony of physical fitness.
He is incredibly flexible and works with you to figure out what workouts will help you achieve your goals and your schedule.
I would recommend Train With Sturm to anyone wether you are a freak athlete or a couch potato. Jeremy will find a way to push you into shape and keep you accountable in the best possible way! Jeremy cares and will give you everything you need to achieve your fitness goals.

I’ve trained with Jeremy for ~2 months and had a great experience. He listens to exactly what your goals are and asks good questions so he can create the most tailored and effective program for you.
He is incredibly knowledgeable about his craft and gives you the “why” behind each exercise. He comes fully prepared so you get the most out of your time. I was most impressed by how easily he can pivot your workout and keep it moving smoothly if you are having trouble with a particular exercise.
He also created tailored workout plans for me to follow outside of our sessions. He is easy to reach if you have questions in between sessions or if you need to reschedule.

I've been training with Jeremy for about 10 weeks. No regrets! While he is a true professional, he also brings positivity and humor to all our sessions. He will tailor your training experience to meet your fitness needs and will modify your workout on the spot if you're struggling. The gym is private which I preferred.
My experience has been nothing but positive. I have zero experience with strength training, but saw improvement at week 4 with 3 sessions a week. The mental health and physical changes are a plus. I know I'm not his easiest client since I'm uncoordinated, older, and have too many cheat days! If anything, this shows Jeremy can work with all age ranges and fitness levels.
Hiring Jeremy has been worth it for me.

Honestly, I haven’t gotten into a solid gym nor workout routine until I trained with Jeremy. He’s super friendly, attentive (listened to all my questions), and even created a personalized nutrition plan to help me reach my goals!
He usually plays awesome music if you ask him to and really does want to train you in the best way possible to achieve your goals. I still have a long way to go but he definitely gets me going! The gym is pretty dope too!!

I was recommended by mutual friends to see Jeremy, probably in the worst shape of my life and after a serious car accident. He works around my schedule and is super motivating! As you can imagine after most accidents my body was lacking flexibility and I had some serious mobility issues that were making my work outs tough. I took an active recovery session with him and felt a thousand times better the next day and he continues to work on my mobility and recovery every session

Jeremy is an awesome trainer! I was going to the gym everyday, but needed someone to help me change up my workouts and push me through hard workouts I wouldn't normally do on my own. My past workouts were often muscle-specific so it was welcome that Jeremy put together workouts that got my whole body moving and my heart rate elevated. I plan to incorporate many of the exercises into I learned from Jeremy into my workouts.

I've been working with Jeremy for about a year and a half now and I am so thankful for him. He's been an integral part of my healthy lifestyle. He's patient with me, but doesn't let me get away with not doing my best, and he is always keeping things fun, but focused. I have been working with Jeremy for about 3 months now and he has been amazing! He’s very accommodating to my schedule as well as my workouts. He is constantly changing the pace during the sessions and is very encouraging and enthusiastic even when you want to give up. He’s trustworthy and always striving for you to overcome your boundaries.
