About the Club

Transform Fitness offers Small Group Personal Training to Roseville and the surrounding areas. I cap the groups at 6 people per training session. I ensure that the gym stays clean and we are constantly wiping down equipment with antibacterial wipes after each sequence. I believe in filling the environment with good, positive energy each day! I also offer nutritional planning and additional workout planning to all clients. If you have a serious fitness goal, I can help provide you with the proper game plan and accountability to help you get there.

David is awesome! My brother had a great experience with personal training here. So I decided to give Transform Fitness a shot and signed up for personal training sessions with David myself and I am so glad I did. He has small group sessions but each person is always doing their own individual work out plan tailored to their goals, I’ve never seen more than 3 clients training at once. He’s knowledgeable, supportive, encouraging even when you yourself feel like giving up! Money well spent & highly recommend, if you want to get back into exercising and want to do it right!

I’ve truly enjoyed working with David on my fitness journey. I started working with him 5 months ago, starting from scratch after previously leading a sedentary lifestyle. Each session comprises of 8 unique exercises repeated 3 times each, which focus on a different muscle group in the body. David tailors workouts to your strengths and abilities and shows you how to do each exercise. He also brings a positive, upbeat, and encouraging attitude. I also like how he emphasizes cleanliness by having us wipe down the exercise equipment after use. In my time with him, I’ve made remarkable progress. He is also very flexible with scheduling workouts and able to accommodate last minute changes! Finally, he creates a custom meal plan for you based on your dietary preferences. Training with David has been a blessing. His presence brings comfort, brightness and positivity. Such a down to earth individual who has been a significant part of my weight loss journey. David is understanding, encouraging, and patient. I have a back injury, this is a major concern for me when working out and the reason why I sought a personal trainer, as I did not want to make it any worse. I’ve known David since his 24 Hour Fitness days! Life happened and we lost touch for many years. BUT then I found him 😊!
I love the small group environment. The workouts are always a surprise, ALWAYS incorporate multiple body part groupings and are challenging. Keeping it exciting!

This has been by far the best experience I’ve ever had working out. David not only makes it enjoyable, but he pushes me to be the best version of myself every time I train with him. He is extremely knowledgeable and is always answering any questions I have about the workouts that we do, along with ensuring that I’m doing the workouts correctly (most trainers could care less, but not David!). Not only does he know what he’s doing, but he is by far one of the friendliest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I have absolutely loved training with David over the last 3 months. He is very knowledgeable, helpful and patient and tailors my work outs to what I am wanting to achieve as well as taking into consideration any limitations. Highly recommend. I chose his 30 session option, which I completed over 4 months. My goals were to gain weight and build muscle. Unfortunately, I was in a bad motorcycle accident that left me unable to walk for 8 months. During this time, I lost an unhealthy amount of weight. After working with David, eating the right foods and packing on the calories, I gained almost 10 pounds!

Also, my accident left me with some lifetime injuries. Each session was tailored around this injury so I wouldn’t hurt myself. This was another major concern of mine when headed back to the gym by myself.

I’ve started going to TF since last month and training with David has been such an awesome experience for me. He provides individual exercise routines that will help me achieve my dream body and fitness goals. David demonstrates exercises and then keeps watch to help on form and cheers on for all of us. He also does custom meal planning, which is super helpful for a beginner like me.
Being at the TF gym, it is clean and organized. The people who work out the same time are friendly and the small group environment sets a nice and a lil’ competitive atmosphere to motivate me while working out.
I would have been so lost going at this on my own and probably would’ve progressed slower or given up. But I’m glad that I joined TF and met David and other friends.

I highly recommend David with transformation fitness.

I am very quiet and anxious and doing new things is really hard. I really wanted to gain confidence in a gym setting so I reached out to David.

I called and we set up a meeting to discuss goals and expectations at his facility. When I arrived I was so nervous! He was so nice and patient with my axiety and everything went well.

I started the sessions and I quickly gained confidence being in a gym environment. Every person that walks through the doors are so nice, supportive and respectful of each other.

It is a group setting, but everyone has their own goals. He writes personalized exercises on a whiteboard and works with each person individually. No one is doing the same exercises as anyone else nor do you do the same exercise each visit.

David demonstrates the exercise and ensures proper form. He explains what the target areas are and what you should be feeling. He also rotates from person to person to give you time to do your thing but keeps checking on you to make sure everything is going okay.

He does include tension releasing techniques/exercise's which is a huge plus if you have tension or pain in any areas.

Bonus: He provided two meal plans.

I began looking for a personal trainer when I noticed I was gaining weight and not feeling as healthy as I was before. I was nervous about this because I have not really felt comfortable in gym environments, didn’t want to be judged, and was worried about spending too much money and not getting results.

I was pleasantly surprised when I went to Transform Fitness because it was exactly what I was looking for. I have been going to TF for about 7 months now and am extremely satisfied. David is very professional, flexible, and knowledgeable. Going to TF has helped me hold myself accountable, in addition I am able to experience a variety of workouts that change each time I go, and receive help from David ensuring that my form is correct to prevent injury. As someone who has experienced many injuries, I appreciate how David will listen to me about my pains, adjust my workouts, and help me release tight muscles with the many recovery tools/equipment that he has.

I also appreciate how flexible and understanding he is when it comes to my schedule. There have been times I have had to reschedule because of illness or other events and he has never given me a hard time. He will also help you with meal plans specifically made with your nutritional needs in mind. This is not for an extra cost and I found these plans to be extremely helpful as a vegetarian who struggles with diversifying my meal plans.

There is a breakdown for costs as follows: 10 sessions for $600, 20 for $1,000 and 30 for $1,400. I chose to start with the 10 and see how I liked it before committing to a larger amount. I also researched and found that these prices are pretty typical for personal training. Overall, I believe that the price is completely worth what you get out of working with David.

There are other people that attend TF. Some days I will go and there is just me or myself and 1 other person, and sometimes there are about 6 people there. It ultimately depends on the time and day, as some are busier than others. However, the amount of people doesn’t impact anything surprisingly. You still get the attention you need from David and have equipment ready when you need it. As an introvert who typically does not enjoy talking to people, I still feel extremely comfortable in this environment. Everyone who attends TF is kind and nonjudgmental, all working towards the same goal of being healthy. The set up is that you typically do 4 workouts for a total of 3 times and then another 4 workouts 3 times and are there for around an hour. I thought this was a group or class at first, but it is individual working out.

After seven months of working with David I feel stronger, healthier, and more confident than I have in years. I am thankful for him and the work that he does. I recommend Transform Fitness for anyone looking to become more healthy and improve their life.

I've been working with David for a year or so now. It was hard finding a fitness program that worked for me - I had a history of physical injuries that made it difficult to join group exercise. David really cares about his clients and makes you feel heard. He is super accommodating with his programming and adapts it to your needs. I make sure to tell him if anything is particularly hurting and he makes sure we do what we need to for it to heal.

The environment at his facility is very supportive. I tend to be a bit of a focused, one track kind of person when it comes to exercise. I appreciate that it's easy to feel like there's no pressure to socialize a bunch if I'm just in the zone, but that everyone is so friendly if I ever feel like chatting more.

In the past, I've struggled with feeling motivation to exercise. With Transform Fitness, I never feel bad about having to go. I'm always looking forward to it.

I started at Transform Fitness a little over four months ago. I had been at my highest weight and I was having trouble doing basic things since starting remote work had decreased how much I moved. I don’t like big gyms because I never know what to do besides walk on the treadmill and I don’t want to hurt myself lifting weights because I did not have proper form. Then I found David and decided to see what he had to offer.

First off, he plays different types of music that keep the mood going when you’re working out. It’s not the same ole stuff you hear in one of those corporate gyms. Second, he changes the exercises up so you are not doing the same thing every session. He listens to what you say and will change things up if needed. As someone who sometimes needs accommodations, it can be hard to ask for because you don’t want to seem like a pain. He corrects your form, and advises you on what to do outside of the gym to workout. I have gained strength, endurance and feel better than I have in years. Everyday tasks have become easier. He will also discuss a meal plan with you and you’ll fill out a form to select your preferences regarding food. David is also a great guy overall. He knowledgeable, kind and has a great attitude. If you ask questions, he’s never condescending about what the exercise is for and which muscle group you’re working on. I always leave feeling better than when I arrived even if I’m exhausted from the workout.

David is a professional trainer; not some dumb muscle head who has obtained a “certification” online. I have been training a couple of times per week with David for 15 months so far, and he continues to have me do new exercises every session. I had recently recovered from a broken foot and wrist, but during my recovery i had lost a lot of my strength. Since i worked in a physically demanding field i needed to get my strength back. I had never worked out in my entire life and wasn't in the best shape that I wanted to be. So i took this opportunity i had to work with a professional and sought out David. David not only helped me recover the strength i had lost but also helped me get into the best shape i have ever been in my life. He was very considerate of my past injuries adjusting my routine around them while still trying to get my strength back. Even when i was concerned i was doing an exercise incorrectly he would show me how to adapt to target the muscles more proficiently. I worked with David for around 4 months. It was a great experience from start to finish. The obvious thing you want from a trainer is someone who knows their stuff and pushes you to grow. That's a pretty easy base to cover, anyone being paid to do this should be able to hit that mark. Where David excels is being someone that you enjoy suffering with, and that's what makes TF stand out to me. I'm an anxious introvert, but I always felt completely comfortable during my sessions here. I looked forward to every workout, I had fun. David will chat you up in between sets, keep it light, keep your morale up, all while giving you exercises that make you want to roll over and die. That's quality.

If I had the money to do so I would never stop going here. If it's in your budget I really can't recommend it strongly enough.

Des has been my trainer for a little over a year. She has given me the confidence and knowledge I need to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I feel stronger, from in the gym to simply doing chores around the house . My posture has improved and have noticeably toned and gained muscle . Des knows what’s she’s doing and can tell you what the move is physiologically doing for you. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I have been coming to Transform Fitness for almost 2 years. It has been, by far, the best experience. David and Desiree are GREAT! They work with you, push you when you need that little push and match your energy. If you need to modify for whatever reason, they got you! They believe in form, and listening to our bodies to avoid injury. I don’t feel the pressure that I used to feel at a big box gym and the rest of the people around. David has been one of my biggest supporters and cheerleaders in my weight loss journey and has been one of the most important components. Bottom line... he cares!! Everyone that goes there is great and it’s like we are our own little family. We all encourage each other in so many ways. I recommend Transform Fitness to everyone.

David is an awesome trainer! He's always positive about everything that he does, and motivates everyone to do better. His workouts never caused an injury to happen, and everyday I feel I'm getting better. David is always flexible and understands if you can't make a session, and he has many other slots open if you need different times. Update Review:

I’ve been training at TF with Desiree for a year now and it’s truly been a life changing experience. Desiree is the best at what she does hands down! She now knows my body probably better than I do and continues to challenge me as sessions go by. Even though it’s been a year now, my training plans are different enough to keep them fun, new, and not boring. I love how Desiree always pushes me and motivates me during each session. She is truly passionate with her training and goes above and beyond to make sure you are doing the work out right, as well as understanding what that actual work out does to your body. TF continues in being great with their schedule and flexibility, and all staff, including all clients, is all fun to be around with. I’m so glad I found TF and can count on them to help me achieve my body and health goals; I am a happier person now  Thank you again TF!!!

I had a great experience at Transform Fitness, David and Desiree are awesome trainers and they really know their stuff. Even the other members are fun to work with. As a travel nurse they were very accommodating with my work schedule. So if you are a traveling professional and looking for a personal trainer in the area I highly recommend Transform Fitness.

The best trainers in Sacramento hands down!! David and Des are a wonderful team they are both very knowledgeable from nutrition, to how to target specific muscles, to the proper way to exercise so you don't hurt yourself. Also, it is a very clean and friendly environment but at same time everyone there is serious about working out. I've change a lot since I been with transformer fitness like my weight, eating habits, and just my overall health is better. I had an incident a year ago to where I lost oxygen to my brain for like 20 minutes and I was in a coma for like a week too, after the incident I wasn't strong as I use to be like I couldn't run or nothing. I was training before with David but then I came back after my incident and within a year I felt like I was 90% back, mind you the doctors said it would take 2 years for my body to come back a 100% The physical therapy the hospital had me doing wasn't cutting it but with David I was able to progress pretty fast. So If your looking for a trainer stop looking and try transform fitness I highly recommend them!

I'm so thankful that I found TF...Desiree and David are the best. I had stopped working out for almost a year and was at the heaviest I had ever been. I was so intimidated to start working out again so I kept putting it off, and in turn kept gaining weight. Before I stopped working out I had been doing group workouts but I didn't want to go back. I tried a couple times but only felt discouraged since I could no longer keep up with the others the way I used to, so I just stopped going.

I got to a point where I had to find something that would work, and that something was TF. I have been working out with Desiree for about 6 months and it's the best decision I could have made. Each person has a custom workout so you don't have to worry about not keeping up with others. When I first started I was worried that I wouldn't be able to do everything since I was so out of shape and that I would get discouraged again. Desiree started me off slow and gradually made the workouts more challenging so I never felt discouraged. Desiree and David really care about each person and take a lot of time making sure that you have the correct form during each exercise to get maximum results and avoid injury.

Desiree will also spend a lot of time discussing any concerns or challenges with nutrition you are facing. Her meal plans are so much more realistic than any others that I have tried. She customized my meal plan based on foods I like so I know this is a lifestyle change I can stick with.

While my transformation is still in process, I feel so much stronger now than I have in a few years. I'm even back to skiing which I avoided last season since I was so out of shape and didn't fit into my ski clothes.

In addition to being great trainers, Desiree and David make the environment fun. I know each time I workout with them that not only will I sweat, but I'll laugh along the way. I'm looking forward to continuing my transformation with David and Desiree.

If you want to go to a gym where your trainer will care about your success and be along side of you every step of the way Transform Fitness is it. I started late last June with Desiree - I was nervous and didn't know if I could lose weight but I knew it was time for a change. Let me tell you looking back this was the best decision I have ever made! I'm currently down 60 pounds and way stronger than I have ever been!

From the very first meeting with Desiree I knew instantly this is someone who cares about what she does and who she is working with.

I have a physical disability and Desiree did a wonderful job of finding out my limitations and current abilities when we first started and has always pushed me without ever compromising my safety or hurting myself. She has adapted my workout to work for me and her level of knowledge and expertise of the human body and anatomy is outstanding. She truly has an understanding of how each part of the body works!!!

I enjoy the one on one training and also love the social aspect and comradely of group training days where there are a few of us working out at the same time but still doing our own specialized workout.

My meal plan has been made specifically for my vegetarian requirements and picky taste ;) Desiree did a great job giving me variety with getting all the proper nutrition I needed (and I knew NOTHING about this or where to start.) she's always been great at giving me new plans/ideas/tips.

Transform Fitness is awesome!!! I have been training with David and Desiree for 5 months now and I can see a complete difference in my body and what I eat. They write up all your meal plans and your workout is specifically put together for YOU. All you have to do is show up and eat the food they pick out for you. I've been to personal trainers before, and these two are, by far, the best. They are easy to get along with, very encouraging, and always have a smile on their face!! I have been training with David Young for some time now and I never get tired of the routines he plans for me. I am a middle aged woman and my fear with training was that the trainer would not work me as hard as a younger person would be trained. Trust me, David pushes me to the limit! I have always been a pretty active person, but sometimes that’s just not enough. After having had two kids and putting on weight, I was struggling to get to a place where I felt healthy and fit. Knowing my struggle, my husband contacted David and got me sessions for my birthday. To say I was excited would probably be an understatement.
I had known David from 24 hour and couldn’t wait to work with him again. I was anxious to get started, so I contacted him right away and set a time to meet. I loved the fact that David doesn’t just provide a workout, but a whole system for getting healthy and fit. I may only meet with him 2 days a week, but he provides me with meal plans to follow that fit my likes and needs and will switch them up whenever I ask him to, plus he provides me with workouts that I can do at home or on my own at the gym.
I have now been working with David for a year and a half and I am addicted. I look forward to my sessions with him, even though I know I am going to get my butt kicked, and I love the results I am seeing. The variety of workouts that he provides and his ability to push you harder than you ever imagined you could be pushed makes the whole experience so rewarding. His addition of Desi to the team only added to the experience that he was already providing to his clients. Her knowledge and drive to help people get healthy and fit, not just put them through a workout is in line with what David practices and believes. She is a wealth of knowledge that I know I have benefitted from on many occasions.
On top of having the support of both David and Desi, the other people there working out push, support and encourage you. I know from experience that if you aren’t in the right mind set to start something like this, then it’s just a waste of money. But if you are serious about getting healthy and fit, this is the place to come. It’s also nice to know that the person you are entrusting to help you with your fitness goals is also following the same lifestyle that they provide for their clients.
Overall, David and Desi offer a lifestyle change, not just a workout. They are hands down the best you will get for the money that you pay. They are definitely the best investment I have made for myself. Give them a chance and I promise you won’t be sorry!

I came to David Young at Transform Fitness when I was at an all time low. I was the heaviest I had ever been, I was eating a poor diet, drinking far too much, and overall living a very unhealthy lifestyle, and because of that my self confidence was basically nonexistent. I knew I needed to pull myself out of the hole I was in, and though I had never worked with a trainer in the past, I knew I needed someone to help motivate me, and hold me accountable. David lived up to all my expectations and more. He has been there for me every step of the way, whether it's an extra kick in the butt to get going or stay on track, pushing me through my workouts (even though I whine the entire time), and even providing the emotional support we all need at times when we're going through these transitions. David has a lot of clients, but still devotes his time and energy to each of us individually, and is there to listen or answer questions day or night. I started with David in March 2016, and have since then lost 25 lbs., I'm looking much more toned, and have gained not only a ton of knowledge as far as fitness and diet are concerned, but most importantly my confidence is back, and I'm feeling/looking better than ever. I can't thank David enough for what he has done for me. If you're looking for a physical/mental transformation, Transform Fitness is the place for you!

After having a baby and dealing with a stressful illness in the family, I was in the worst shape of my life and needed help. Luckily, I found Transform Fitness. David and his team are invested in you and really want you to succeed. They give you specific meal plans and a plan to achieve your goal. In an hour, you endure a tough full body workout that pushes you beyond what you think your limit is. I leave Transform Fitness sweaty and out of breath and am sore after every workout. The atmosphere is very friendly and fun. David and his team are driven by results and each week you are evaluated through body fat testing and they will give you pointers on how to improve next week's results. I highly recommend Transform Fitness as they have changed my body, my mind, and drastically increased my overall happiness. Life is too short to not be the best you! Call them!

Transform Fitness has helped not only myself, but other family members to look and feel amazing! David and Desirée are fun, knowledgeable, and a very supportive team.
