Worst course management second to Valley Oaks. Tee times 4 mins apart and always backed up. Marshalls harass you and follow you all over the course. Just because three guys in the “men’s club” are playing behind us and we have a slow
5some in front of us and a cart that died doesn’t give them the right to harass people and follow them around all day. We kept pace just fine. Next time keep your carts charged!!! We paid for it!

Played Tulare for the first time this morning, course is well kept, greens are nice, lounge and food is great as well. However….. tee time was 10 minutes late, which is no biggie, but when the marshal comes over on hole 3 and tells us to hurry up when we’re waiting on the group in front of us on the green that’s not cool. Apparently the trio behind us were regulars and like to call in and complain if they have to wait for more that 5 seconds at a tee box (They were also terrible golfers, definitely 30-40 handicaps). I understand keeping the pace of play up to speed and always allow groups that are moving way faster to play through, but when we’re moving with traffic there is no need to say anything. The game is 90% mental and for the next few holes it messed with my groups game. So the marshal followed us for the rest of the 18 while the group behind never made it to a tee box before we were done with our hole. Side note we played 18 holes in 3 hours 52 minutes. I will never play here again and will make sure to spread the word about your marshals terrible attitudes and incompetences.

The subpar conditions of the greens is not the only part to dislike about this course. Tulare Golf course is notorious for failing to uphold your reservation. If you plan to golf here be prepared to make it an all day event as Tulare Golf course fails to enforce their own guidelines of 4 to a group making the pace of play a pure stop and go experience. Marshalls here are non existent and often seen blatantly ignoring groups of 5 to 6 taking 20 minutes per hole.

Never had an issue until this past weekend. Booked 2 tee times back to back with 6 golfers. Marshals made us separate as we did but then continued to follow us every other hole harassing us. Was threatened 3 occasions that if we did not hurry up we’d be kicked out. Never returning here which is unfortunate, because I am a first responder along with the group I was with. Go to lemoore golf course. Much friendlier staff and Marshall and just as good conditions .

Probably one of the worst ran courses in the valley. Management doesn’t listen. Tee times are over booked. Marshalls just ride around and talk to locals even the bar is just out of control.

Pros: great greens and tee boxes.
Cons: they have no problem sending groups of 5 out on a busy weekend with 7 minute tee times. 4.5 hours to get to 15 while the 5 group in front got further behind. Paid full price but had to give up at that point.

We had the worst experience ever at this golf course. We booked TWO tee times back to back as 2 groups of 4. We were not playing our own ball, as we were playing 4 different teams of best ball (so basically 4 golfers). Let me remind you… TWO back to back tee times. We were not acting obnoxious or disrespectful in any way. We were all respectable golfers using proper golf etiquette. And they kicked us out. They did ask us to separate one time in the front 9 and we did, but because the course was so busy we ended up meeting up with our group at the tee box on a couple different holes because we were playing fast (due to us playing best ball). We were being followed around at every hole by the staff! We payed to be there, every single one of us. There were other people being very obnoxious and messing around with their golf carts, and nothing was said to them. But because there were 8 of us, they kicked US out without even reimbursing us. Nobody behind us was complaining, as we were even talking with them and sharing drinks with them as we ALL waited. There were multiple groups ahead of us whom we were waiting on, so that fact that we grouped up on a couple holes and were playing best ball kept the game moving much faster. We even had golf carts, and bought food and drinks multiple times. I would 100% understand if we were acting foolish or playing our own individual balls/holding up the line, but we weren’t. I’m really disappointed with the lack of professionalism the golf course displayed and we will happily be taking our business elsewhere as well as our friends and family.

I've played this course for 43 years. It is in the best shape ever. The greens roll well even after being sanded. Pace of play is usually very good. Today's round was 3 hours and 10 minures. Love it!

Golf: course is in fairly nice shape, tough greens that may or may not be legal pin placement. (I am not good enough to know) Quite a hefty marshall presence for a muni, even followed my group for almost entire first 3 holes which felt a little unnecessary. (No loud music or misbehaving was taking place). Got skipped by cart girl as she was focusing on what looked to be locals/friends.

Food:Renovations to the bar/restaurant are nice, staff seemed less than interested to help anyone that wasn't a regular. Didn't get a full meal just a hot dog at the turn. Food looks good though.

Overall decent experience but only because I had the golf moose coupon, would not pay more than 50 bucks to play at this location.

This course has sure changed now that money has been poured into it. Came out for a fun time with my son and was told at tee time we would have to play with people we don't know. My son wanted to play golf with his dad not strangers. If you don't allow 2 people to golf by themselves there should be something that states you might have to play with others but we didn't find out until we were teeing off. Again put something somewhere that states this. Only thing I was told was well its a holiday so I don't know what to tell you it's a busy day. Something could have and should have been said while checking in. I'm sure the workers at the counter can see there are multiple people with same tee time. If not again put something on the website that states this instead of ruining a son and dads day. Thanks Tulare golf course

Soooooo much potential! The course is older, but has its teeth. The Proshop and Cafe have been nicely updated. There is a professional horseshoe competition area too. (I've never seen something like that before.)
The driving range has also been worked on. Reseeded with a large number of yardage markers. The greens are small and demand a trained eye for reading the breaks. The course is not too long right now, but tees are being rebuilt and lengthened.
The only drawbacks I experienced were the fairways. Minimal grass in the center of the fairways, probably dormancy issues. There was better grass on the fairway edges and in the rough. It's too bad.
Hopefully, the course will pursue bettering its fairways. As they say, time heals all wounds. In this case, grows fairways! 😉

-0 stars..... been here a couple time but today was the first ima being offended like this. Started out good. Until on the 17th hole where the groundsmen came up to our group stating that we are making HIS job harder because our group is sharing clubs. Brought this up to the main office up front and they stated that they "have it posted" to where sharing clubs is against rules. Where then she was UNABLE to show us where it's stated as well as the fact that we were in the wrong because "we could afford the right equipment". They only told 2 out of 4 people this because the 2 were Mexican and the other 2 were white. They claimed this is a racist white sport to where being dehumanized is looked upon. We paid just like everyone else, that should make us any less equal. On top of that, the lady threatened to call the cops on us because of our issue. This is a racist place to where no is valued as what unless you are WHITE. STAY AWAY!!!!!

In Visalia for son's soccer match, decided to try out Tulare based on other reviews., it was a short 20 minute drive. Got there at 7AM hoping to just play the back 9, but was met with a 8 AM shotgun start due to a 12pm tournament. Brittany was very friendly and super helpful in setting me up to start on 11!! Even comped a small bucket of balls for the wait.

Driving range was great, hitting off the grass is alway better than a mat. Little hard at times to see the ball as you're hitting straight into the sun, but he mountains in the background were amazing. Putting greens were plentiful, little crowded, but not a big deal.

Course was surprisingly picturesque with the Sierra mountains in the background for numerous holes. Tee boxes were in great shape, fairways were pretty good, spotty in some areas, and greens were awesome.

Overall experience was great! Would definitely play it again the next time I'm in the area, highly recommend it.

Good food, friendly people; you always find someone you know at the Tulare Golf Course. It's a favorite spot for my coworkers and I; we're often there for mid-day lunch. So far everything I've had there is a good meal (and a good price). I was just in today for lunch (half chef salad) and the view from The Pitching Wedge is spectacular (with plenty of shade to beat the valley heat on the course itself)!
