I've been enjoying this gym since I joined back in March. My main draw was the kids club. The girls are awesome! Cassie and Bella are amazing with my son! The gym is always clean, never too crowded and has everything I need. If it had a pit shark that would be insane but that's OK lol I wish there were more locations.

The gym itself is great, with good equipment and a nice space to work out. Unfortunately, that's where the good part ends.
The management is incredibly disorganized. I received completely different and conflicting information from various staff members about how the membership and cancellation policy works. No one seems to be on the same page, and it's impossible to know what to believe.
The cancellation policy is absolute nonsense and feels predatory. If you cancel less than 21 days before your billing date, they charge you for an entire extra month, on top of the last month you already paid for when you joined. This means you effectively have to know you want to cancel two months in advance to avoid being penalized. Who plans their life like that?
If you sign up, be prepared for a confusing and frustrating experience when you try to leave.

Moderately priced gym with all the essentials you need plus some more niche machine like a chest supported t bar. Bathrooms pretty consistently dirty. Some front desk staff abhorrently unprofessional and dismissive, specifically staff on Wednesday mornings. Customer service shouldn't be giving customers attitude as someone would expect from their 7 year old child.

It's fine. I showed up tonight at 8:00 supposed to be open till 10:00. It's closed. This is the second time in 6 weeks it's happened. It's super frustrating when I'm expecting to work out but find a closed gym. Saturdays are insane and impossible no matter what time of the day you come. All the machines are taken, and regardless of gender, people have no clothes on or the smallest possible clothes they can find. I'm sure that's fine for some people, it's not my preference to have men in speedos and women in shorts with their labia out doing squats beside my face. I don't want to see it... it's a public space. The air conditioning doesn't seem to work, so it's very hot, stinky and uncomfortable when it's hot outside. I've gone into the group fitness room to find people practicing and recording their salsa routine, complete with the outfits and high heels. Again, location is good, it's clean , and the price is fine. You can make it work Sunday through Friday, just don't expect them to be open the hours they say they're open. Today a trainer brought two clients he was training to work out at the squat rack right beside me. He asked me if he could take a weight. He and the others then proceed to take any and all of the weights from the rack i am actively using. I then have to ask the people on the rack beside me to borrow theirs. They were lifting light enough and the gym wasn't very busy... they could have used free weights in a different part of the gym, but instead chose to disrupt my workout. I felt crowded, disregarded and disrespected. I haven't even seen a gym-goer with this much of a lack of etiquette. I keep trying to find a gym where people have etiquette. It seems impossible.

I’ve really enjoyed this gym overall, but the weightlifting area has become a serious issue. There’s no AC, no windows/doors for ventilation, and now this week the ceiling fans have stopped working too. The heat is overwhelming and makes it hard to breathe, let alone train safely.
I know several members who have already left because of this, and more are considering it. For the cost of membership, it’s fair to expect at least a comfortable workout environment. I’d much rather stay here than switch gyms, but unless this is addressed, it’s hard to justify when other gyms in the area are more affordable and provide proper airflow.

27th August 2025, and today marks the fifth straight day with no AC. The gym feels extremely hot and uncomfortable, and management doesn’t seem to care about fixing it.
With so many people working out in a small space and no proper ventilation, it feels unsafe and increases the risk of contamination—especially with illnesses like COVID we experienced!!
A gym should provide a safe and healthy environment for its members, not one that puts us at risk. I really hope management takes this seriously and makes improvements immediately.

Their website says they’re open 24 hours a day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I’ve sat in my car now on four different occasions watching people try to get in and nobody’s there today. I spoke with the employee that showed up at 5 o’clock and he informed me the 24 hours on Monday doesn’t start till 5 PM. Apparently they don’t know how many hours are in a day. The employees that work there very disappointed and when I let him know that Monday starts at 12 AM, he said he pass it on. Maybe you should put it in his back pocket and remember that remember the seven days in a week and 365 days in a year, I don’t think it’s fair that we have to pay for a membership. That says open four days out of the week 24 hours a day when you have to argue with the employee on a Monday morning and he doesn’t know how many hours are in a day it says it starts at 5 AM. That’s all I got nice attitude too. The website says they’re open 24 hours a day. higher than a Georgia pine. Monday through Sunday all day start at 12 AM be advised.

If you're going to advertise that you open at 6am, then open at 6am! You have 10+ people here waiting for someone who can't show up to work on time, this is ridiculous. Nothing annoys me more than people who waste my time. You had 8 people already leave, I'm sure they would've liked to sleep in instead. Also if you're not going to enforce gym rules why don't you have your employees (the same ones who can't show up on time and are always siting around doing nothing) have them re-rack the plates that the lazy people who can't seem to do, do it for them. When you were in Mission Valley you use to have employees go around every hour to re-rack the weights, what happened with that? I'm tired of re-racking other people's weights they leave all over the place. BTW it's now 630am and no one has still shown up. Everyone but me has already left.

Got a $19 a month membership for my son. Have yet to pay only $19. When I asked about canceling the membership, they make zero attempts at customer retention. Not that it would have worked. Maintenence fee... annual fee... what fee is next month. Oh wait, I hopefully won't have to find out. Let's see if it is truly as easy to cancel as they claimed when I signed on the dotted line!

I need to post praises for Jason Pena! An amazing young man. He completely concentrates on his clients. As they are completing their exercises, he will do a 360° around to make sure they are doing the exercises properly and safely. He listens to any concerns about soreness, etc., & adjusts the exercise to fit your needs. In this day and age, that is very rare. I highly recommend new clients, or regulars considering a trainer or more training, to Jason.

I was a member of the Bxng Club for 10 years, and after their sudden closure of all locations last month, it was easy finding a new gym to call home. I looked at many different gym options before deciding on joining UFC Fit. They're the most comparable to Bxng Club that I have come across in San Diego so far and have everything I'm looking for in a gym. I will update this review in the future if needed, but so far, I'm satisfied with my experience there. It's a great facility with friendly and helpful staff and a good variety of coaches and classes to choose from.

The gym has good equipment but this place lacks hygiene. It’s very smelly downstairs and not to mention they have only 1 door where you can access the entire gym… odd. In addition they blast the absolute most horrific music. I feel like I’m at a highschool party half the time I’m here - make sure to bring some headphones and you’ll have a good workout.

I have been a member since Spring of 2022, and I use the gym primarily for their jiu jitsu program. Here is my honest review.
As for the actual quality of classes and professors, I can't complain. The three professors are all black belts with excellent lineages, and phenomenal teachers.
HOWEVER, the gym management leaves much to be desired. The mat room where we have our classes has a split in the mats that someone just put some duct tape over. I've cut my foot on it while training before. They purchased mats for the walls, which have gone uncovered for over a year. However, when they finally installed the mats, they installed them incorrectly. Further, the mats cover about less than half of the wall space.
The management also treats the jiu jitsu program like the gym's red headed step child, despite the fact that jiu jitsu classes cost extra. Outside of class hours, anyone has access to the mat room -- we have caught people in there with shoes on, and if we don't clean the mats ourselves before class, they would never get cleaned which is a hygiene nightmare.
People from other gyms come and train in our mat room -- which is fine and all except that they threatened one of our professors while he was teaching a private. Some of them clean the mats after training, some don't.
We have multiple people in the last year who competed and medaled at IBJJF and Jiu Jitsu World League tournamounts. You'd think the gym would promote that heavily, right? Nope, crickets. But a themed zumba class? Prime time on social media.
If you're looking for a place to lift, do cardio, and be a meathead, I'm sure it's fine. If you're looking to train actual martial arts, don't let the name fool you. There are better places.

Every health club I have ever gone into is the same. I go in and ask how much it costs. Then they give me a clipboard and ask me to give them my personal information. Then they tell me to wait and someone will help me. Then I am directed to sit down next to some jerky salesperson while he tries to give me a big jerky sales pitch and get me to sign up for a bunch of stuff I do not want. And part of the whole idea is that after he is my friend and offers me a water and discusses my fitness goals, I will feel like I am being rude if I do not sign a long contract with a lot of classes. It will be like I am hurting his feelings after he was so friendly to me. And no one wants to be rude, right? I mean he was so nice to me and we are friends now. They like to make me feel trapped. They hope I will not want to be rude and just walk out while they sit there and try to work on me. They basically treat me like I am stupid. Health clubs make millions treating people this way and they are even trained to do this. And they sit there practicing all day and get better at it all the time. That is exactly what happened to me in this place. I recommend that you just stay away from this place. You can go into any health club and you can just watch people getting sold on things they never would have wanted all day long. That is why there is a special law in California allowing people so many days to cancel a health club contract. The word got back to the California State legislature. It was so obvious they even passed a law to help the victims of these predators. To me it is nothing short of offensive. These individuals are hunting for big game. They want to turn a free pass or a short trial into a contract for thousands of dollars. That is what they get commission for doing. Stay away from this place!

Pros: This gym is super well equipped and has multiple squat racks and benches. Love coming here for my heavy lifts. Staff is super friendly and the vibe is good, music is good when you forget your headphones. I’ve been a member for 3 years and they seem to put our dues to good use to expand and improve the gym.
Cons: there is shocking amount of members with terrible gym etiquette and I wish the gym would do something more about it like put up signs. Specifically stuff like people leaving their backpacks on squat racks and walking away for 20 minutes to use other machines. Bathrooms could be cleaner.

This gym is awesome! The machines are great, during rush hours its not too packed like other gyms in the Point Loma area, and the staff is welcoming. I want to write about Kirido as he has only been at the location for about a month now. He always has positive energy when he converses with me, he has poured out his knowledge when it comes to the lifting category that I specialize in, and overall has made a positive impact on the gym from my point of view. I look forward to going to this gym every evening for these reasons above and would recommend this gym to anyone that is in the area.

I’ve been a member since they first opened, and I have never had an interaction like I did with Kirido & Nas. I’m usually the type to go to the gym, do my work out, and leave without any interactions. Last week I accidentally spilled my entire water bottle on the ground and Kirido was the first to jump up to help me mop up my mess (this wasn’t his job, but he was happy to step up and help.) In order to repay him for his kindness, I agreed to take a personal training session with him (& Nas who was off the clock but still offered his services, so thank you for that!), in which he encouraged me to try boxing.
Kirido is a very well experienced and intelligent man that emphasized the importance of listening to the mind, spirit, and body while educating about martial arts. He is very professional and really helped me with the basics when it came to trying out this new sport. He encouraged the importance of being able to defending myself, being a college student surrounded by creeps all the time. It’s crazy to think he started working there within the month and is already elevating the gym experience for their members.
Also quick shoutout to Nas for also offering a training session and being very informative and well educated when it came to muscle groups, form, and proper movement of the workouts. If you need any strength training 1 on 1 help, he’s definitely the guy for you. His expertise is beginner to intermediate friendly as he shows effective movements for all muscle groups. Overall, I’m really starting to look forward to taking more classes and exploring this newfound interest. Thank you Kirido and Nas again!

I also knew I might be moving in a year to idk where in San diego so I specifically asked what happens if I move in a years, would I get a refund for anything not used? he assured me I would. he failed to mention only the first year could be refunded!!! even though I said I’d be moving in a year!! I ended up moving to Imperial Beach which is way too far to use the membership and just had to waste the second year or my membership. no refund like promised. I should have gotten that in writing, that’s on me. however they should have stuck to what they verbally promised me and refunded my $300. they were rude about it too.

My card was no longer in use there and a few months later I start receiving calls from debt collectors saying I owe over $300. Each time I’ve reached out to UFC I have received no response. This gym is a scam and very sketchy. I went in for a trial and they tried to get me to sign up for a "free 7 day trial" which I cancelled and declined but they ended up charging my card on a recurring basis for the last few months on an unauthorized transaction. I call them every time I get a charge to have them delete my account and remove my credit card from their system and they claim that they cannot do that. I have had to block them as a vendor from my credit card company because they keep charging me and have not refunded me. It is unacceptable for a gym to take advantage of people like this and I imagine they do this to everyone. If you go in for a trial, do NOT give them your credit card information. I would warn anyone against going to this gym as they are not a trustworthy business.

After, one month they started charging my account again, and then when I called they said they would not reverse the transaction. Very unethical to do, and I went ahead and cancelled my account completely now.
Another side note, is the personal trainers are high pressure salesmen. Real bad vibes with this place.

If you are looking for a place that has martial art classes and access to weights this is the spot! The pricing for having both of those components is very reasonable. I have to give recognition to two people who work there. First, Noel the GM for being super flexible and working with me to get a membership since I am a college student. The second person is the trainer Mykael. Mykael is very knowledgeable about martial arts specifically boxing and I was able to learn alot. I do like how he always has sessions prepared and I like that he doesn't pressure clients to resign up with him. There are many trainers out there that don't really want what's best for their clients and just want people to pay for extra sessions. Also, the variety of classes they teach from MA to HIIT and Yoga makes this place very desirable.

This UFC Fit location has been very good to me. They have an extensive weight room with 4 squat/deadlift spaces, approx. 8 benches for chest press, a large selection of dumbbells, and what must be 50 treadmills and ellipticals, among other machines. It only gets busy when you would expect it to (7-9am and 4:30-6:30pm), so you will likely have to wait for the machine you want should you come in for a workout at this time.
The coaches are all friendly and non bjj fitness classes are held regularly in the medium sized turf area where there are heavy bags for striking practice.
The recovery area is something I have used a handful of times. The Cryotherapy chamber is awesome, as are the full body massage beds.
All in all, the only aspect of this gym that has disappointed me is the fine print in the membership agreement. Upon lowering my plan to only have access to weightlifting equipment (no group fitness classes), I was charged the difference between memberships in addition to my new lowered fee at the beginning of next month. And upon cancelling my membership given I am moving, I was informed you need to do so 21 days in advance or be charged for the next month. It’s for you to decide whether this is a fair practice or a money grab.
I’ve been most pleased with my fitness journey since joining this gym, and if you are serious about making a change then this is the spot for you.

Pretty good gym. Not too crowded and all the equipment is plentiful, very new, and well maintained. My only gripe is that group classes are held in the shared turf area so that no one else can use it, even though there’s an open group room upstairs.

It's a great gym - however, one of the issues I spotted right away is the music. Is there any way to turn down the music in the evenings or after all group classes are finished? The gym will blast very loud music late at night, and I notice MOST people who are working out here, have their own headphones/earphones on. If we can please turn it down a few notches, because some of us prefer to listen to the music we have through our earphones, and it's very difficult to do that when the gym is blasting their own music.

I am so happy to be a member here, they are amazing! They do not force us to comply with draconian masks mandates, they are real fitness experts who follow real science they know oxygen is important for our bodies specially during physical activity.
I would never trust a gym that would make me block my o2 consumption during exercise and make me breathe back CO2 that my body is trying to get rid of. Not to mention is sooo nice to see the friendly staff and other members smiles and be able to smile back at them
The gym is SUPER CLEAN! They have disinfectant wipes everywhere and everyone wipes the machines there there were not 1 case of the Rona that I know of since I have been there
Additionally they really listen! The only complaint I had was that they would play hip hop over and over again, i don’t know about you but listening to that rhetoric winning annoying melody with poor lyrics and offensive to women is really not my cup of tea and the beats just doesn’t go well with lifting weights or doing cardio so I asked them to please stop playing that I was getting a headache
And since then they always make the effort to play other genres that are less offensive and better rhythm to workout like dance electronic🕺💃 and rock 🤘
I really love in here 💕

I’ve cancelled my membership twice now and yet I’m still getting charged. Even after the employee (wish I had his name) told me my membership was cancelled. Now I have another $100 charge that shouldn’t be there and won’t be reversed.
On top of that the layout of this gym is far from the best.

Gym is clean and has a decent amount of equipment.
During this Omicron breakout, they have hung signs that masks are required (as they are for all indoor businesses) but the sign is not at all enforced. NO staff wears any masks at all, even after they had a staff breakout of COVID that they posted signs about. Would be great if it would at least be enforced for staff, if not for gym members as well.
The staff are friendly. It would just be nice if they protected others, at least during this surge.

This gym is a scam! Since May they been charging my husband account an additional $340 monthly and they claimed it was for “personal training” which he never did personal training with them at this gym. They withdrew a total amount of $1020 for three months. We contacted the manager and he said he will fix it, but this continue.

Hands down….best gym I’ve been a part of! Extremely friendly staff here! They have pre-workout/energy on site if you need a little boost to start your pump. Tons of equipment here and a great use of the space they have. The equipment is the most updated equipment I’ve seen in a gym for a while. I used to be a member of 24 Hr and it was a decent community for each gym but really outdated equipment. The trainers here are top notch and they are all here to help you meet your fitness goals. You can either get personal training or sign up for one of the many classes they have to offer. If you are looking for a new gym you should really consider stopping by and talking to the team here to see what it’s all about.

Credit card scam. This gym has posted random charges on my credit card that they cannot explain and they claim that they cannot reverse the charges, but instead, the member must wait up to 90 days for a refund check to be mailed. I have received 4 fraudulent charges from them, totaling about $300, that they have not refunded. I have attempted to block their use of my credit card, and to circumvent that, they changed their billing name and committed fraud again. My friend is experiencing the same fraudulent charges.
DO not give this company your credit card number.

Went in today to talk with Jeff about getting a guest pass so i can try out the gym. (It’s way bigger inside then it looks outside.)
Jeff showed me around, and helped me out with a great guest pass for several days!
The gym is really nice, several rooms with a bunch of brand new equipment. The equipment is a step above the standard machines found in LA fitness or most other gyms around. Good row machines, assault bikes, all that.
There was a bunch of equipment, i didn’t have to wait at all for anything i wanted to use, even when i went to do cable flys (that’s rare lol).
It was awesome to see everyone who was doing a class, everybody looked like they really enjoyed themselves.
The place was clean and kept.
Definitely coming back! These guys are doing a good job.

Amazing new gym & equipment 🤩! My personal trainer was Geoff & he was beyond helpful! We were crunched on time since I was leaving to my next command overseas. He’s professional, patient, and informative 😁! I would 100% go back if I had the chance. One thing I wish they had was a sauna 🧖♀️
