Do not waste your time signing up at this gym. They'll lie to you when they're trying to get you to sign up, and tell you you're getting one plan and sign you up for a different one. Then, when you try to talk to their sales staff about the mistake the staff made, they'll look at you and talk AT you like you're stupid. They'll say they will "look into it" but that they doubt that the sales staff that signed you up said what you're saying they said. So basically, they'll gaslight you. Then they'll try to tell you that if you want what was supposed to be included in the plan that you were originally supposed to be signed up for, you can pay additional fees. Yeah, no thanks. By the way, they'll never actually get back to you in regards to the mistake their salesperson made. When you try to cancel you'll be told you can't because you paid the membership in full. Seems to me that this place loves to lie, deceive, and gaslight their customers.

Bait-and-Switch Scam - Do NOT Trust Their Sales Promises!

I am writing this review to warn others about the deceptive sales practices at this UFC Gym location. Save your money and your sanity—look elsewhere.

My friend and I were existing members and had previously bought a package of training sessions to use together, which we did with a trainer named Frida. When a sales rep approached us about a new deal, he explicitly promised the exact same thing: 20 sessions for $1,000 that we could share. This was the only reason we agreed to such a large purchase.

After we signed and the sales rep left the gym (they have a very high turnover), the new staff refused to honor the promise. They claimed the sessions were for one person only.

When I brought this to the manager, Anthony, he was completely unhelpful. He would not listen and refused to admit his employee made a false promise to make a sale. He just kept repeating "gym policy" and asked us to deal with the consequences of their lie.

We spent $1,000 on a service they are refusing to provide. Do not make the same mistake we did. Get every single promise in writing on the contract itself, because their word is worthless.

I signed up for a membership on April 12 and paid $38. I was told this covered both my first and last month ($19 each). I submitted my cancellation on May 8, and they told me about their 21-day notice policy, which I completely understand. So I was okay being charged for one more month (5/12–6/12).

But here’s the problem: I had already paid for that final month as part of the $38 on April 12, which covered both 4/12–5/12 and 5/12–6/12. So they should not have charged me again for 5/12–6/12. Now I’ve been charged $38 + $19.

I reached out multiple times, but they just kept saying “no problem” and still refused to refund me. So I’m posting here hoping someone can help me with this simple math:

April 12–May 12 = $19
May 8: I asked to cancel
May 12–June 12 = $19
Already paid $38 on April 12
Why am I being charged $38 + $19?

It’s not about the money—it’s the attitude that’s disappointing.

I remember Coach G when she started her boxing journey. She was 100% all in. She always learned from the best coaches and applied what she learned then transitioned it to being a coach herself. I've taken boxing conditioning and boxing skills and technique classes with COACH GEE and she is an amazing Coach. I've also had her as my personal trainer in boxing. I've been to many gyms all around the area and this for me has been one of the best experiences I've had. I've had the pleasure of working with some trainers and Coach Gee is an amazing Coach and I have to say that she is extremely knowledgeable in her craft. Her classes are fun, challenging and sweaty. Coach Gee is friendly, informative, fun and have an extensive background not limited to boxing and the workouts she offer are amazing.

I like the equipment and facilities here but the restroom tends to run out of supplies, equipment and racks break down, and the parking lot reaches capacity pretty quickly. The staff is alright, they could be better with reception and building a community feeling. Coach Gee and Tyrese are the two coaches who really make this place enjoyable!

I had less than 5 training sessions, and 2 of the times, the trainer did not even show up. when I tried to ask for my money back, the manager at the gym. gave me the run around. The gym is typically very clean you don’t see weights and trash everywhere like other gyms (even in peak hours). The staff is all very friendly and approachable. I’ve never felt unwelcome or that ego vibe from anyone here. Everyone I’ve worked with is extremely humble and real (family vibes). I’ve been working with Coach Gee for boxing and Coach Fernando for kickboxing, they are both incredible coaches. I was a noob/beginner when I started working with them and they never made me feel less than. They took me on and taught me so much, not just about the sport but how to live an overall healthy life. They emphasize a lot on your overall wellbeing and mental health. I struggle a lot with anxiety and struggle to show up for myself because of it but working with them has helped me overcome that. The UFC Gym in the City of Industry exhibits a shocking disregard for customer service and transparency. As a current member paying monthly for limited access, my attempt to negotiate an all-access membership, available to others, specifically my friends and colleges, at the same rate, was met with deceit and hostility. Staff members, including one falsely posing as the manager, repeatedly lied about their pricing policies. When confronted, they chose to dismiss and disrespect me rather than address the issue. This gym prioritizes ego over customer satisfaction and integrity, demonstrating a profound failure in management and a total lack of regard for member retention and reputation. Went to the gym this afternoon. Finished with my workout like normal tried to use the restroom before i left, sign outside, stating there was a woman janitor cleaning the restroom so that we (as men) couldn’t use because there was a woman inside cleaning the restroom .. sign stated that we were to stay out until she was done cleaning. It took more than 25 minutes, so I left and went to the restroom in the parking lot… Absolutely terrible business practice to practice in the middle of the day while the gym is somewhat crowded… Get a male janitor for this stop inconveniencing gym goers! Came in yesterday, was in the neighborhood so I finally decided to stop by and trying to activate the free pass ufc gym offered me on their website, connected me to this location, walked in was greeted by Alberto, straight face at first, told him about my business, he typed my info into his computer, found out who and when I did my inquiries, took him a quick minute to warmed up to me, he showed me the gym, like a solid tour, showed me the nitrogen tank, and a unique way to recover (in a chamber fill with nitrogen, kind like a human drink cooler at first), alone with some hydro massage bed and some sleeves for your whole arms and legs, so a 3xl blood pressure measuring device but for your arms and legs, so they can squeeze your muscles to relax and relieve the pain. I got to say those devices are pretty unique! Then I saw the rest of the gym, over all pretty new, a lot of outdoor openings into the indoor gym, perhaps a invitation to the mosquitoes to come in, since the front door and side door is always open! I also seen the cleaning crew constantly at work, which is a pretty good sign, keeping up the maintenance, or just keep it clean. But things took a turn when we got back to the desk, where Alberto trying to sell me the membership without offering me the free pass first, he stated I can first join the gym then I will have 5 days to cancel, for any reasons, he also showed me the prices, but what I noticed was they jacked up the price, then they cut it back basically matched price on the ufc website, which is misleading, he also didn’t want to screw up the sells pitch, so he have to talk to his Asian manager for a while, then introduce him to me, so they can make their sells pitch 2 to 1. The last time I was in that situation was when I was in a pyramid scheme, 2 to 1 sales pitch! Or when I was in a car dealership, the sales man have to bring the sales manager in for the kill, 2 works on 1 sales pitch! Eventually Alberto have to hide behind the computer monitor, and watch the sales manager works his magic or eat up his own words! Anyhow the sales manager did offered me some more discounts, but only gives me like 1-2 free classes to see how I would take it, they even waved the initiation fees(no gym in 2023 charge that anymore, a annual fee for sure$69) I couldn’t join at the end if they can’t honor the free pass ufc offered on their website, Alberto was telling me I either pay $20 to work out or join them then cancel, I couldn’t do it because I can’t get sucker in first before I experience the gym for free first(advertised by ufc website), you have to give me the benefit of doubt before I buy the products! So make sure you get that clear up before you make a trip here, otherwise it will just be a waste of time!

Do not get tricked into joining the Recovery Membership at this gym… IT IS A SCAM. I made the unfortunate mistake of falling for this trickery and was paying $71 monthly for what turned out to be mediocre services. I would make appointments and on multiple occasions I would be denied the services due to lack of resources. When I was able to have an appointment, I would show up and would not even be greeted. I would stand at the desk sometimes up to 20 min until someone would finally acknowledge me. I ended up canceling the service, received my cancellation document with the date of last payment. Once the last payment had been made I thought I was finally done but to my surprise I was also charged the following month as if I had never cancelled. I was told I would receive a refund and I’m still waiting on that. Save yourself this inconvenience and just don’t do it. The staff at this gym is in some serious need of revamping their customer service skills.

This gym is so chill. It's the perfect balance where fighters of any disciple can come get a workout and any non fighting person can workout without feeling intimidated. I like the housewife workout of just hitting the bag to get a workout in but they have classes if you want to learn more boxing, kickboxing or jujitsu or just get a workout in, if you already practice those. There's also a lot of ppl that either box or kickbox and come just to get a workout in. It's the best blend of two different types of ppl working out. Check out Coach Diaz's class. He knows how to work with all types of people. I've moved a lot and have been to many gyms. But this gym is just a vibe. Every single person that works here just gives you positive energy and that translates to the gym's energy/ vibes whatever you want to call it and makes working out fun. Lots of 24rs or La fitness have ppl that always trying to have a p*ssing contest. Vibes matter at a gym that you spend a lot of time at. Erika and Greg run a great team, they're super chill and that energy spreads throughout the entire staff. Worth every penny if this membership. The recovery section is a must if you train a lot. 🙌

My coach Araceli has been extremely helpful. I cannot do without her guidance and support along the way. Absolutely recommend! But the sales people esp. Henry has been lying nonstop after selling me a massage gun. He wouldn’t help exchange or return it even though the massager never worked. Also, he was providing wrong warranty and contact information to get off the hook. Won’t recommend anything that’s relevant to sales.

After elevating the issue to company CEO, we were finally able to get the exchange from Operations Manager Erika, who didn’t honor the receipt or exchange policy in the first place. Way better than the local gyms. I've been to the local LA Fitness, 24 hours fitness, and even the new Planet fitness. Those gyms are always too packed, have broken/old equipment or close early. The gym itself is nice. The equipment is new and cleaning crew is great because the gym is always very clean. But the other employees and “trainers” are pretty much all useless. None of them ever know how to help you, you have to talk to 3 people before getting the right help. I signed up when the gym first opened with a guy named Mario. He’s no longer here and they’ve since hired a bunch of kids who spend all day talking to their friends who go to the gym and posting stuff on the gym instagram. It takes them forever to service and repair equipment. The cable machines have slowly been needing maintenance and have stopped working properly one by one. I put in a service request and I’m guessing no one ever sent in the scribbles the girl at the front wrote a ripped piece of paper because it’s been 2 weeks and they still haven’t greased the slides on the handful of machines that just need basic maintenance to work again.

I bought 26 training class from Felix and Mario, of which 6 were free lessons . I only used 8 lessons , and there were 18 left. However, no one told me that Felix left. Later, I moved in May and drove too far. I cancelled my membership in June. No one told me to cancel the training at the same time, At the beginning, no one told this question. After training with Tatiana, she and Mario told me that they would be responsible for adding six free lessons to the system, but now a month has passed, no one has dealt with it, Mario has left now, and no one has replied to me. I'll start by saying this UFC gym isn't horrible. However, their communication is poor, and here's why. Before I signed up, I was reluctant to sign up because of how small the gym is, and they lacked a lot of the amenities their competitors have. Sauna, steam room, pool, jacuzzi, basketball court, kids club, multiple facilities, etc., so you get the idea. Before they officially opened, they bragged about why they're better, Boxing, BJJ, and recovery center. BUT that was not entirely true; the recovery center isn't for their members. That is a separate membership. I have the ultimate membership, so it was infuriating to find out none of that was true. Yes, I get BJJ and boxing, but to be honest, the classes are more fitness focus rather than technique. Boxing classes do not apply for my child either that's another membership. As I said earlier, this gym isn't lousy. It's an overpriced planet fitness, so keep that in mind.

I was told by the manager (Erika) that UFC sent emails/letters saying the reopening was happening and I was to be charge. I never received one piece of communication, which Erika said she would follow up on as I was likely eligible for a refund of the March dues. Erika was helpful and processed my cancelation the week of March 20th, but I never heard back.

April 2021 - During this month I called multiple times to check the status of my refund request only to be told that 'Erika will get back to you once she is back in.' April 15th I realized I was charged once again. I requested an electronic copy of my membership cancelation from my sales rep and it was recorded into the system as April 20th, 2021. This is false. Becuase I am not in the area, I have called and left messages 10+ times and had to get my Credit Card company involved to dispute the charges. I keep getting the runaround from he front desk because Erika has refused to call/email in response to the situation. I am very disappointed at how the situation is being handled and the lack of communication/resolution.
