Me and the boys have been going to UFC gym for some months now and it’s an awesome gym be at, my membership only costs about a dollar a day and when I signed up I got a free month, also incredibly friendly staff members. On top of that it’s in a great spot nearby Max Muscle and it’s open 24 hours so there’s good times of day you can find so that it’s not crowded when you go!

It’s roomy and has a nice vibe to the place. The weight room and cardio section are separate which helps with the diversity with the gym. I thinks it’s a solid choice for a 24 hour gym.

I recommend this gym for such a small town. The equipment is great. The music is horrid to be blasting the way it is. It’s on a loop and they won’t change the genre. Make sure you bring EarPods.

I've been coming to this gym since the powerhouse days. When it became UFC, I saw a massive improvement in almost everything. I left the gym for a year due to some personal circumstances, and when I came back, things had gotten even better! UFC still provides the hometown gym feel without compromising on the quality/quantity of equipment, has a friendly staff that recognizes you, and has much to offer anyone who walks through the door. Whether it's classes, weightlifting, personal training, or learning kickboxing, UFC can provide! My boyfriend and I got to know Jake, Tanta, and Patrick, and we just LOVE them. ❤️

My mother and I were members of this gym for over a year and cancelled our memberships due to a very inappropriate and uncomfortable incident that surfaced/occurred with one of the trainers. We no longer felt safe attending this gym. I had prepaid for multiple training sessions with the trainer who I no longer felt comfortable training with and the process for obtaining a credit/refund for the prepaid, unused training sessions has been extremely difficult. I contacted the owner, Ben Ragsac Jr, to no avail to attempt to discuss my concerns. After waiting many weeks, I then had to take up the issues with UFC Corporate and my bank. I am extremely disappointed to say the least - a place that I once viewed as a sanctuary became a place of discomfort and false pretenses. Do yourself a favor and sign up with another local gym! The only good thing I will say about this gym are Coaches Patrick & Angela who I learned a lot from and miss seeing and training with!

A terrible experience after being a member for over a year!!!!!!!
I was forced to leave due to Coach Jake Wrobel’s gross misconduct during a training session at the gym. I was very offended & deeply concerned so I reported it to owner Ben Ragsac Jr. who failed to follow up with me so I ended up filing an official complaint as well as a police report. I was shocked & very disappointed that a zero tolerance policy is not in place for this kind of behavior?? Coach Jake Wrobel’s brazen attitude is unacceptable and he should not be coaching.
I feel like I bought a membership under false pretense after finding out this has happened before. Not good practice!!! UFC Gym Placerville does not value their members knowing this is going on!

Been a client with UFC Placerville for over a year now. The kids and I love coming here. The kickboxing trainer, Patrick has done very well with thr kids and keeps them wanting to learn more. Mixing learning with fun games and building confidence all at the same time.

This gym has everything you need for fitness and health. 24 hour access to a full gym along with MMA classes including BJJ Gi and No Gi and Kickboxing. Also has a full group fitness studio with HIIT, Zumba, Pilates, Yoga and a bunch of other classes with great instructors. Amazing personal trainers as well!

You really can't beat this gym for the money. They have Jiu-Jitsu classes for adults and kids. The coaches rock, they really do a great job with the kids. The kids absolutely love it. They have multiple classes for the kids a beginners class and and advanced class. I highly recommend that if you're on the fence to swing by and give it a shot, I think they will let your kids try a class for free to see if they like it. The adult classes are as good as any other Jiu-Jitsu gym I have been to, it's legit. The coaches are legit. There is both Gi and No-gi, multiple classes per week. We are so lucky to have such a kick-*ss jiu jitsu gym right here in Placerville, thank you UFC Gym!

Good luck canceling your membership here if you have to. I was told I needed to talk with a manager before I could cancel. The manager used high pressure sales tactics to convince me to just put my account on hold and told me he would call in two months to see if I wanted to come back since. He told me I would not be charged and since I was considering coming back I agreed. I didn’t get a call in two months as the manager said but They did charge my card for the monthly membership. I didn’t authorize this so I called and was told by an employee that the manager would not refund the charge. He also refused to answer or return my calls to discuss. I am now using other avenues to try and get my money back. BEWARE!!

I have been periodically working out at UFC Gym during the last 3 or 4 owners. Although the atmosphere of the gym is slightly different, i still like it. The staff is pleasant and helpful and the personal trainer I work with is knowledgeable and professional. I appreciate that the televisions are NOT tuned to political stations. My only complaint is that the music playing is too loud.

Great gym - Staff are awesome! The BJJ class is the best, the coach Anthony Marzan really knows his stuff and is an awesome instructor - really, top notch! He's great with the kids for the youth BJJ class, and he's equally as good with the adults for the adult BJJ class. Bobby, who works the front desk is hands down the friendliest person I have ever met and always greets me with a smiling face and kind words when I arrive at the gym. I came to this gym specifically because of the personal trainer Tiffany Cooke. She has been amazing in helping me with my weight loss goals. Can’t say too many good things about Tiffany. As a whole the gym is nicely equipped, clean and has a very good vibe. People that go here seem to have fitness as a goal vs social, hangout etc.

Nice gym...I like the VIP option...it gives you a choice in pay structure. The instructors/trainers are very friendly. They did a prize raffle and I won a MyZone...thank you! I put on too much covid weight and now I'm down 10 lbs so far.
My only real regard...simple easy fix is there are no clocks haha...it's nice to have a wall clock to glance at to keep track. Also, the heaters are running.

I'm glad UFC came in after Powerhouse...it's a great location near Walmart.

I only came in 2 times to this gym to sign up and for the free training first session
I called to cancel and am still being charged a year later

They have even brought a debt to collections and refuse ro return my call and now say they will not close my account because of an open balance

Great gym. Beautifully updated and remodeled. Classes are flexible. Equipment clean. Staff is very nice and instructors/trainers professional and well educated.
Billing was/is a little rocky. Overcharged for months and had to go in to try to remedy that monthly. Offered some free months to make it right but wanted to cancel membership. Contacted to cancel multiple times via email with no response. Also told "will leave a note for the manager," but I've heard that so many times....Hopefully I don't pay yet another unused month. Couple thousand in the hole now.

The UFC gym in Placerville is getting better and better each week. Dave, the new owner, is doing an amazing job. He's always around to listen and share about future changes that are taking place. New UFC classes are being added in March to the already great lineup of classes being offered. The manager and staff are friendly, professional, and always eager to resolve any issues you may have. I have belonged to this gym for three years. Since it has become a UFC Gym, it is getting a makeover: new paint, new weights, and new cardio equipment.

The staff is professional and friendly. The gym is impeccably clean. The weight machines are high quality and smooth.

I am an old school weight lifter and former figure competitor. This gym is perfect for my lifting needs.

After going to this gym off and on for several years, I had to quit due to poor management that is not simply unprofessional in dealing with customers, but aggressively hostile. I won't go into details here (like I have on my facebook page) but it was far and away the worst customer service encounter I have ever had. Because the owner seeks no customer feedback when members quit, I wanted to make sure he knew about this. So I met with him. Can't say I was impressed with his commitment to being on top of customer service. As an absentee, out of town owner, he spends no time at his gym and doesn't have a good sense of what is happening there (its one of several he owns). My impression is he is running this place on auto-pilot. Frankly, Placerville deserves better! Wish someone local would buy this gym and run it in a professional manner! The good news is that my husband and I found another gym in Shingle Springs that is much nicer with far more offerings (cycle classes, pools, sauna, steam room, towels, many tv station options in cardio room while Powerhouse often offered only Fox News!), management that is more professional and respectful, and a more comfortable work-out climate. We bump into lots of people here who used to belong Powerhouse. It's a little further drive for us but worth it! We now spend more time at our new gym as it has such a nice atmosphere and so much more to do (we love the stretching machines and massage chairs; they also provide free coffee, cold towels, mouthwash in bathrooms). So... good riddance!

Great traditional gym. Every piece of equipment you can think of AND 24 hours. Hard to find in the foothills. A little over priced for this day and age but worth it for the most part. They could maintain their upholstery a little better but the facilities were always clean.
