I didn't know what to expect the first time I walked into UP. I couldn't believe what I accomplished the final time I walked out ten short weeks later.

The program at UP made achieving my goal pretty straightforward: all I had to do was follow my trainer Matt's recommendations. He provided me with all the tools I needed during our time together. Matt encouraged me to push myself, but never too hard. He taught me to value good habits and consistency over cheap tricks and fads. He made sure I understood each part of the program and its purpose so I could keep my momentum going on my own. I could not be more thankful for the foundation Matt gave me. If I hadn't moved out of town, I would still be training with him.

Life changing!
I had been pretty healthy most of my life and felt comfortable in a gym but I had gotten to a place where the weight had crept up and the workouts and diets weren’t helping. After starting UP, I realized I was eating and working out all wrong and really inefficiently. I signed up for a 3 month program with Mohand “Mo” Boudifa and I definitely achieved my goals during that time. UP isn’t a temporary, quick-fix workout and diet program. It’s a way of life. Mo and the whole UP team including Matthew Leeb taught me how to take care of my body, inside and out. I’m stronger and healthier and I’m confident I can maintain this for the rest of my life.

UP is great and my trainer Anna Petrov is amazing. First UP worked with me to come up with a program that would work with my schedule and budget. My trainer Anna is fantastic. I learned more in my first session with her about nutrition and form than I did over 10 years with other trainers. She also knows so much about training because she was in competitive judoka and she is a certified personal trainer as well as a certified nutrition coach.

Anna has helped me do things right, working larger muscle groups to maximize benefits, and adding exercises to include more groups. She does a great job with both strength training and nutrition. Anna also has helped me build confidence through her coaching and holds me accountable as well as checks in to make sure I am hitting goals. They measure you and revise your plan to make sure you are progressing. They want you to succeed.

I think UP treats trainers with respect I have not seen elsewhere. They can focus on their clients’ needs and build on their own skills & development.

I am very happy with the decision to make this investment in myself and get help changing my health and lifestyle.

I had kind of an odd experience - I went through 2 (male) trainers who were both very nice but I didn’t get very far, and both conveniently left.

Then I got Anya (Anna), she’s amazing - very calm, incredibly encouraging, pushes me hard, checks in on off days to be sure things are going well, offers solutions to problems (which is hard to find in a profession filled with single “bros” who have no idea what it’s like to have kids and juggle a career that’s mostly sedentary with the demands of kids, cravings, bloating, etc).

I’ve lost 11% body fat and am no longer overweight. My lean body mass is much higher, and I’m noticeably stronger and fitter. Anya is amazing.

It’s not easy. You have to actually work hard, in and out of the gym. She’ll know if you don’t. And she’ll say something about it.

But even when I feel like crap, I still go to the gym, because it actually does make me feel better.

I honestly never would have thought that could happen to someone like me.

All the trainers and the managers are great - they weed out unpleasant and ineffective people pretty quickly.

I don’t really want a bunch of new people at the gym or filling in Anya’s time slots (lol), but people should know when something actually works.

I came to Ultimate Performance feeling hopeless and out of options. I had had a baby, turned 40, lived through a pandemic, and didn’t recognize myself in the mirror . Tried nutritionist after nutritionist, workout after workout but instead of losing weight, I was adding about 10lbs to my frame every year.

My first session with Ian was sobering but he filled me with so much hope. He’s patient and explains the why to everything food-related question I have. Knows when to push me through when I’m feeling stuck and reassuring when I’m too scared to try increasing weights when we train.

Oct 9th 2024 I walked into @ultimateperformancela anxious, excited, slightly skeptical but mostly hopeful that I’d be able to achieve my dream fitness & nutrition goals. I have been working with Trainer Kyle Roark . I lost about 10 kilos . I am just about to reach my weight loss goals. So I changed 4 trainers, they weren't working out for me.

Kyle is absolutely fantastic to work with. I have a neck and back issue from a car injury few years ago.
He listens and comes up with very creative workouts. I have become stronger, learnt to eat better and healthier and I am going to continue training with him because I enjoy my workout with him and look forward to it every week.

I joked after my first few workouts if someone wants a transformative experience, you don’t need a Peruvian ayahuasca trip: just come here. My trainer Chris was fantastic at making realize so many things – physical and mental – about fitness, my diet, and proper form. I worked muscles I didn’t know I had, or hadn’t used in years. I lost over 20 pounds, chronic back and chest pain went away, and I feel healthier, stronger, and more confident.

I would recommend UP only if you are absolutely committed to the program, and have the next 3-6 months clear and stable. Travel, family obligations, and business distractions had me lose focus at times. But if you can stick to it and appreciate the good kind of pain, you will absolutely see results.

I came to Ultimate Performance with one goal: stop hurting myself in the gym.

I'm in my mid forties and have been working out on and off for years, yet I wasn't seeing significant gains. It was time to invest in my fitness (and stop hurting myself) and I'm so glad that I did.

Tyler, my trainer at Ultimate Performance, not only pushed me to reach my goal of learning proper technique--a foundation of learning I will take with me for the rest of my life--he helped me be consistent with proper diet and nutrition, which turned out to be the key to achieving another goal: getting to 10% body fat.

Before you start training, they ask what your body fat goal is and I chose ten percent sort of at random (I had started at 21%) and did not realize it meant losing 20 pounds. I'm 6' and was 183 pounds when I began, which meant I'd be dropping down to my high school wrestling weight -- "whoops" I thought. But hey, I figured let's go for it.

Tyler was there every step of the way, always bringing valuable knowledge and encouragement. He pushed me hard, but in the sweetest, nicest way possible. His energy is great and always consistent, his work ethic is inspiring, and his way of explaining technique made it so easy to understand. Because of him, I gained a connection to my muscles that I couldn't have forged on my own--all while eating great food, feeling sated, and still hitting my goal of shedding 20 pounds while gaining muscle.

Also, if you're worried this will be torture, I was thinking the same thing before I started. But it's just the opposite. Pushing myself to the limit, and letting Tyler do all the thinking for me, is a near transcendent experience. How often do we get to fully commit to being in the moment, connecting with our bodies and, in the end, seeing the fruits of our labor? I haven't seen my abs in 25 years. Now, I say hello to them every morning. Seriously, the first thing I do when I wake up is rub my abs, still somewhat incredulous at their emergence.

What I came to realize is that my real goal with Ultimate Performance was to make the fitness of my body match the fitness of my mind. The body is a printout of the mind after all. And the current printout reflects how I always wanted to feel.

Oh, and I did it all in three months! And have not hurt myself since!

I began my fitness journey at UP Fitness in early July 2024, and Mohand has been my trainer ever since. After almost four months with him, I can't even begin to describe the transformation I've gone through, both in how I look and how I feel. When I first started, I was in pretty bad shape and had a hard time even doing simple exercises, but Mohand really pushed me to get past those hurdles. I used to deal with joint pain a lot, but that's not a problem for me anymore. It's amazing to see how far I've come in such a short time. Mohand is an awesome trainer who's totally dedicated to helping his clients reach their goals. From what I've seen, he makes sure I'm doing each exercise right, focusing on the right muscles and keeping me safe from injuries. He also keeps an eye on my progress through an app where I track my food intake, checking in with me every day to keep me on track. I really think I wouldn't have been as disciplined or focused on losing weight without his help. With a few more months to go, I'm looking forward to feeling even better when I hit my goal weight. I’ve been working with Mohand Boudifa since mid June 2024. He is, hands down, the best personal trainer/fitness coach I’ve worked with over the last 20+ years.
I was extremely skeptical that the U.P. price tag could ever be worth it but gave it a try. Desperate times… When I started w/ Mohand, I was at an almost all-time high weight and was coming off an incredibly demanding period in my professional & personal life.
I am a hard sell and even as the weight was coming off during the first several weeks, I still wasn't sure I was getting full value for my money. But now I am a believer—esp. for busy folks who are struggling on the fitness front.
In June, I had set an aggressive goal to drop ~ 20 lbs in 2.5 months in time for a milestone birthday; with an end goal of 30 lbs over the course of my 36-session pack. I actually didn’t really think I would hit those goals, but figured I’d aim high and fall a little short and just make progress.
BUT, I lost all 30 lbs in time for my bday and have just re-uped for a 2nd set of sessions with the goal of getting into The Best Shape of My Life. This has been Mohand’s challenge/promise to me. I didn’t believe him when he said it the first few times, earlier on, but now I do! 😊 I am already at the same weight & lower body fat % than I was > 11 yrs ago—when I was completing full Ironman races and sometimes had 20+ hrs/week training volume. I didn’t think it was possible to get back to that ever again, frankly.
The level of scrutiny and attention—to everything!—is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before: particularly when it comes to my form in every rep of every set of every exercise. I really think this has been key to the change in my body composition. Mohand’s guidance is all encompassing and tailored to me. He challenges how I think about fitness & nutrition and really reviews what I’m eating/drinking and my steps, sleep, work stress, supplements, etc. – all via the U.P. app, which I am a fan of as well. It’s the whole package.
(I also really appreciate that U.P. is a global gym and so was able to keep up with my sessions/strength progression during an extended work trip in Asia.)

I’m Eric Cardenas. My 5 months 36 sessions at Ultimate Performance has been a wonderful and amazing experience. I really enjoyed working out there and seeing amazing results but all that couldn’t be possible if I didn’t have a great, fantastic, experienced, knowledgeable, understanding and caring person like my trainer Tyler. He really motivated me and brought out the best amazing results I see in me. I didn’t think I could accomplish what I came to Ultimate Performance to do but Tyler changed that. He knew what he was doing and was there for me and listened to me and gave me good advice and brought out the best in me when I thought I couldn’t do it. Tyler motivated me and after each session I came home and looked in the mirror and said this damn guy definitely know what he’s doing. I’ve had other trainers in the past at other gyms but I saw nothing and no results in my body and health. When I came to Ultimate Performance I thought it would be hard to find the right good trainer and then I was introduced to Tyler and I was surprised because on the first day of him training me I knew I would see something and with me not giving up and listening to Tyler he had me do things I thought I never could do. I’m still surprised at how good I look especially when he showed me the pictures of me half way through our sessions and the compliments I was getting from people. Tyler listened to me and I had no problem asking him questions because I knew he would tell me the truth and help me to not only work on the physical part but the mental part when I thought I wasn’t seeing any results and he just assured me that I would really see the results as time goes by so he had me be patient and think positive. One thing Tyler did is made sure I didn’t too much where I would hurt myself and to know when to stop so I wouldn’t hurt myself but he also surprised me when I felt like I I could do more and it surprised him too I think. I just had me concentrate and once again he motivated me and assured me I would get to that point of not only my weight but my physical look of my body would look good. Tyler gave me the confidence to not only work out at the gym with him training me but he made me believe that by working out at home with the gym equipment that I had that just sat in my room for 4 years dusty and haven’t been used got me to the point where I had to finally use them and work out and stop being so lazy and making excuses and get my ass up and use the equipment and I really liked that and without Tyler training me I don’t think I would be working out with the exercise equipment I had at home. Tyler also gave me advice on what to eat and I made sure to send him pictures of what I was eating so he would know and he let me know if the food was good and nutritional or not and he would be honest with me too if I had food that wasn’t right like when I ate large portions of food.I liked that because not too many other trainers would tell you something you thought was right like eating the wrong kinds of food but Tyler was honest even if I was a person who didn’t want to hear it like a time when he was honest with me about eating Chinese food especially with all those different high calorie foods mixed in them. I’m just so surprised everyday how much my body has changed and how much working out at home Tyler inspired me to do. When I first started in May at Ultimate Performance my stomach look like I was 9 months pregnant and I had no muscles in my arms and I always had a really flat chest but now I can see and feel muscles there and my biceps in my arms are looking good and hard. He also told me not to over do things too. I’m glad I had the pleasure of Tyler training me and everybody else who he trains are lucky as hell to have him train them. Finally I must say I’m gonna keep my body and health together by continuing to work out and eat the right foods. Once again thank you Tyler and one day I know you will have your own gym. I have been working out with Roxy at Ultimate Performance for almost 4 months, and it's the hardest and best thing I have ever done for my health, both physically and mentally.

In December, I was in the worst shape of my life. Since then, I have lost 21 pounds and dramatically increased my strength and balance. I sleep great, my posture is excellent, and I feel terrific every single day. Recently, a new client at the West Hollywood gym thought I was a UP Trainer. What???? This is all miraculous when you consider I am 5'2" and 62 years old, and am eating about 4 times as much food as I used to.

I am so thankful to my trainer, Roxy, who is the BEST!!!!! She is knowledgeable, motivating, inspiring, fun, and knows how to push me to exceed what I think I am capable of. I have learned so much from her. Her coaching style just makes sense to me. Also, she doesn't "check out" when I leave the gym...she sends me podcasts, notes, and checks in over weekends or when I am traveling to make sure I am on track. I trust her completely, and always feel safe (even when doing deadlifts, which I thought I would never do.) Having an excellent trainer makes all the difference....and the UP Trainers are clearly well-trained and feel accountable for their clients' success. I feel so fortunate that I made the leap to UP and that I was paired with Roxy!!!!!

I joined UP with a series of knee and back issues. Like others, being busy at work and not being motivated or knowledgeable re certain kinds of exercises had led to being frustrated and out of shape which of course made the joint problems worse. I had avoided most trainers because I didn't trust that they would listen or be skilled enough to be able to adjust their training recommendations and avoid causing injury.

I knew starting out with UP that my target was not a 12 week intense transformation that was picture worthy. My goal was to change my habits, start changing my thinking, learn skills and avoid injury.

My trainer Anna Petrov got it and has been great. She tailored her plan to get me training but without injury and to help me stay consistent. Given my schedule and distance from the center, I only go in once a week. She understood my constraints and didn't treat it as a lack of commitment.

She does a great job teaching both the strength training technique but also re nutrition, gut health, managing hormonal changes and other components of changing your health and shape.

The organization also seems to have a real focus in helping trainers have a supportive environment and one where they can continue their own learning and skills development.

Very happy with the decision to make the investment in changing my health and life.

I just passed the 8 week mark on my 12 week program at Ultimate Performance(UP). UP and especially Anna Petrov, my personal trainer, have been instrumental in helping me get back to the best version of myself. I thought this was the body I was stuck with after having 3 children, type 2 diabetes, dealing with years of autoimmune issues, and turning 50. Nope! Very Well Pleased! It’s been an amazing journey, and transformation! Ultimate Performance has been a life changing experience. I’ve struggled with building muscle, and poor posture, for as long as I can remember. I have achieved significant muscle gains, in a short period, whilst losing weight, and cutting body fat percentage. Most notably, my anatomically posture has significantly improved. Before beginning my UP Transformation, I had (7) surgeries within two-year period from 2019-2020; including cervical laminectomy with fusion to C3-4-5, and other surgeries, including left-shoulder rotator cuff, a torn bicep; and finger/hand surgery. My coach/trainer Mohand Boudifa is exceptional, and the equipment is unparalleled. I am very well pleased with the results, thus far, and grateful to have found a place that caters, to my specific injuries. Before beginning, I was afraid I would flare-up, and pushed off training. The process is so dialed-in, I am fortunate to have found both UP and my coach/trainer. I found UP on social media in a posting of a fellow parishioner from church, whom I recognized. What struct me most, was the post/article shared his journey, how UP worked with him, and his injuries, to help him reach his personal and athletic goals. Training with Mo Boudifa at Ultimate Performance has been one of the best, most important decisions of my adult life. I have always been health conscious and fairly fit, lifting weights several times per week, but my work and family took over and I found myself in the worst shape of my life. I realized that I needed expert help and support so I was just as focused, dedicated and disciplined about my health as I was about the rest of my life.

I'm 5'8" and went from 144 lbs to 125 lbs while adding a few pounds of muscle in a little more than 2 months because Mo was fully invested in my physical and mental health. Since the Ultimate Performance app can track my food/nutrition, sleep, steps, water consumption, energy level, stress level, cycle, and digestion, Mo was constantly sharing advice, information, and feedback. His support outside of our training sessions kept me accountable for all the choices I was making as well as helped me become fully aware of the impact it had on my mental and physical health.

During this journey, I've learned some surprising things. First, I was not eating nearly enough protein. I'm Korean American, so I love my meat, but I still wasn't getting enough, which is critical for building muscle, staying full, and maintaining my focus and stamina throughout the day.

I also learned that when I was lifting weights on my own, my form and technique were completely wrong so I wasn't getting half the benefit I could be. After several months of searching for the right private gym and personal trainer, I made an appointment w/ Tracy at U.P. West Hollywood.
I spoke with Tracy, and I told her my concerns. My Marine Corps days and life career have been hard on my body. I've had (6) knee surgeries (2) being full knee replacements (2) rt should surgeries, one being a slap repair and (1) lower back surgery. I had major concerns about getting re-injured from training and needed the right trainer & the right gym. Tracy listened to my concerns and ensured me that she would pair me up w the right trainer.
Tracy set me up w/ Taylour. I started training w/ Taylour who was well briefed by Tracy re: my concerns and injuries. Taylour & I went over my injuries to make sure we were on the same page. The last thing I want to do is get reinjured at 61.
I've been w Taylour several weeks now and started w/ him 7 months out of my full knee replacement. I have lost 26lbs with No Injuries!!! Taylour constantly asks me after every repetition if I hurt and how does that feel in the areas where I've had surgeries. I've had absolutely no issues or injuries at all! I could not have asked for a better gym or trainer. Despite the almost 36 yr gap in age, we get along great, and he is like family to me. Taylour motivates me every time he trains me and or emails me my progress. Taylour constantly keeps me informed and keeps me focused, pushes me, and the results show.
I cannot thank Tracy enough for listening to my concerns and matching me up with Taylour. I am forever grateful. I look at like this...., if I can do this at 61 w/ multible previous injuries and surgeries, you can too. Ultimate Performance is the only way to go for me! Mind over matter.

Been working with Christian for about 9 weeks now, and the results have been very good so far. The most important part of joining UP was to understand and develop the skills to sustain a healthy lifestyle, in terms of diet and training. Christian has been extremely helpful by working with my schedule and has placed a big focus on good form and technique. I would say that so far the biggest improvement has been in the mindset around diet as I now am more mindful of what I consume and how much of it I consume.

The weight training aspect has been good as I am finally able to do pull ups, deadlift, and split squats. While I have always been active from a cardio perspective, the benefits of improving my strength is for sure evident as I don't get the constant injuries or soreness from basketball or even long walks. Besides the visual difference, understanding the mind-muscle connection and how to change body positioning to target muscles has been the biggest area of improvement for me, and I am looking forward to my progress weeks from now.

I've been training at U.P. for about 10 weeks currently. I was matched with the perfect trainer for me, Taylour who really keeps me motivated & understands how I process information to learn and make progress. He's really more like a coach.
My fitness had really suffered after delivering a baby & having a few years of insane work; Taylour has given me a progressive training & nutrition plan that is very evident. He's careful & detail oriented & always plugged into what I'm doing & feeling.
I'm fitting into clothes I haven't worn in 5+ years, sleeping way better, and even my skin is benefiting from the clean eating.

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience at Ultimate Performance with Chris as my personal trainer. Chris has been instrumental in transforming not just my body, but my approach to health and wellness.
When I first started training with Chris, I was struggling with confidence in my body and had a very poor diet. My trainer Ray was with me every step of the way, and not just standing there counting reps! He made sure my form was perfect, that I wasn't over doing anything but still pushing me in the right way. He was incredibly patient with me when working through the psychological game of working out and transforming. And he did this all with a healthy sense of humor and a friendly smile.
The UP facilities will spoil you! The machines are in tip-top condition and everything is always clean. Plus, the gym may only have a couple/few other trainers and clients there, so that means never having to wait for equipment. In fact, your trainer sets the equipment up while you recover so the whole workout is effective and efficient. Again, you'll get spoiled with this.
My transformation is pretty much what I was looking for and expected. I didn't turn into an underwear model but I'm healthy and fit and can see abs for the first time in my life. Plus, with all this new knowledge I gained, I'm prepared to keep my fitness journey moving!! Thanks UP!!!!!!

The entire experience at UP has been fantastic. My trainer is Mohand Boudifa and he is a great match. He explained the training and nutrition routines perfectly and gave great tips to help me achieve the results I'm looking for. Also, he pushes me hard during the workouts, but also makes it a lot of fun.

During the sessions, Mohand makes sure you understand the correct lifting form and the overall nutrition plan - which are lifelong lessons much more valuable than just the transformation. Through the UP phone App, Mohand even checked in on me every single morning to make sure I was doing okay and if I had any questions.

The UP facilities are also very clean and organized. The staff - from other trainers to the front desk to online support - are all very kind and helpful.

I started 12 weeks ago at 21.1% body fat and so far I'm down all the way to 13%. I should be below 10% in the coming weeks just by following the plan. Of course, it takes hard work and dedication, but UP gives you all the guidance to make the whole process as easy and seamless as possible.

The lessons learned on the journey are invaluable and I highly recommend UP and Mohand!

Ultimate Performance and Tyler, my trainer, have made an enormous impact on my life, health, and overall well-being. It’s definitely an investment, in terms of time and money, but it is worth it. Tyler is extremely knowledgeable and supportive. I have learned so much from him about exercise, fitness, nutrition, and sleep hygiene. He is a really great person too. I’m two months into a 12 week program and I have already lost 23 pounds and have seen a transformation in my strength, sleep, digestion, and stress-levels. Goodbye Dad Bod- You will not be missed! My journey through life took me through the doors of Ultimate Performance (UP) and into the hands of the amazing trainer Anna. As I approached 50 years on this amazing planet, I wanted to kick the doors down and return to my young athletic self. I told all of my friends that I was going to have a 6-pack before my birthday. That was easier said than done as I had become beset with aches, pains, and injuries. I suffered from low energy and lethargy. Most importantly, I had gained over 30LBS since the birth of my two amazing kids and had been put on the life-long pill wagon to fix ailments. At my last appointment, my doctor told me that I needed to exercise and lose weight if I wanted a good quality of life going forward. So, I took his advice and followed the suggestion of a friend who had signed up for UP. My first impression was a general Wow at the results of their clients and their transformation from ordinary humans to beach bod models. I wanted in and signed up. As with most things worth achieving, saying that you want it and getting there requires dedication, determination, will power, and a single-minded focus on a desired goal or target. Personally, I will say that my start and program were on not easy. I went into the program with a bad knee, calf, quad and shoulder. I had previously seen a doctor to clear me for the workouts. Funny enough the doctors recommended PT and weight training. I knocked out PT and UP provided the training. Anna was very diligent in setting up my personal program which included tracking proteins, carbs, fats and calories. Moreover, we targeted a minimum of steps that I should/ must achieve each day. On gym days she modified or identified workouts that would not further harm my existing injuries and would not prevent me from accomplishing my 6-pack goals within 12 weeks. Each session was well thought out and worked the entire body. At the start of the program, I would lay on the floor in pile of sweat convince that she was trying to hurt me. As the weeks went by, I had less floor visits and often left with a smile knowing that Anna was taking me one more day closer to our goals. In Anna, I found both a cheerleader and coach. she motivated and cared about my well-being throughout the program. It is now 15 weeks later, and I have completed the program. I am proud to say that I have accomplished all of my goals. I am little bummed that I didn't make it 12 weeks but too much air travel does have a slowing effect on the program. While the cost of the program isn't cheap, the results of the program are priceless. I am more fit today than I was before I had kids. I feel great and am no longer lethargic. The aches and pains went away, and the core is strong. Next step, I'm off to see the doctor to see if I can get off the pharma drugs. In addition, I learned to eat better and how to appreciate the finer distinctions of water (regular, spring, mineral, & flavored). I no longer have late night cravings or the need for sugar and processed carbs. In closing, if you are looking for a program to experience a transformation, I cannot say enough about the folks at UP and my training guru Anna. When I began training with Jonny at Ultimate Performance mid-December, I was really starting the program to support my wife, who was fully motivated and all-in. I was interested, but only to a point.

I want to give a huge shout out to my trainer, Ray S. His training and guidance has helped put me on track to be fit, healthy, and somehow have abs!

UP and Ray helped me:
1. Redefine my eating habits. I cooked all my meals, now with a focus on Macros; it has helped me better understand lean protein, carbs, what has fats/ composition of fats, and portion sizes. All that, plus with the repetition of cooking over 3 months has me setup to eat sensibly. Being more mindful.
2. Know the gym. I’d honestly never done weight training, nor felt comfortable in a gym. Ray has been super focused on form; and with what we’ve been doing in the gym—I feel confident and comfortable when I visit any gym now.
3. Change the physical structure of my body. While showing up and mindlessly following the routine; I didn’t even notice how surgically/ strategically Ray was reshaping my body. Building muscles I’d never had before and making my physique look great.
4. Improvements in form. Ray’s attention to detail in how my body moves, he always ensures we can doing things correctly first, and working on fixing issues before the next step. Never pushing beyond one’s means or range. As a result I’ve seen improvements in kinks in my body.
5. Overall they cut my body fat percentage in half, lost the weight I didn’t need, made me leaner, and built a toned healthy body.

I’m healthier. (My blood work returned to normal; blood pressure is no longer elevated) I also feel great about myself.

I’m closing out an intense 3 month, 3x a week commitment- and I plan to stay with UP for at least 4 more months to focus on my health gains.

If you are considering making improvements to your health, blood work, diet, and maybe also just having a pretty incredible looking body - this is your spot. UP is results driven and it shows.

The name Ultimate Performance is not an exaggeration. The performance of the UP system, staff, facility, and my trainer Matt Ross has been world-class. I searched and searched for somewhere that I could find real results. Living in Los Angeles means lots of trainers, fancy gyms, and fitness fads catering to what anyone could want. However, the first question I was asked at UP on day one wasn't what I wanted, but “WHY?” It was that focus on my own personal “why” that drove the support and accountability that made my transformation not only possible but astounding. We shocked my friends, family, and colleagues. Truthfully, it surprised me, too.

I love that they use the word transformation because it implies a beginning and end. Not the endless spinning of wheels. I am not big boned?!? I feel like my whole life I’ve been told a lie. I have been wrestling with my weight since I was in college. My mom was a food pusher and was happily obese for the majority of my childhood. I developed gout in my 20s. And realized I needed to get into shape and lose weight. So I tried EVERYTHING. Tried every diet fad, workout video, crunch machine, the abs pad that tenses your stomach with 1000 volts. I had a trainer. Tried CrossFit. Sure I’d lose a little weight here and there. I was working so hard. Only to find out recently that I was doing it all wrong. Ultimate performance has changed my life. I’ve told people that what they teach here should be implemented in every school. Every human being should go here and learn how to train, monitor healthy food habits, and most importantly learn how to be an absolute beast. When I walked in, my trainer Kyle told me the goal was to lose 50 lbs in 6 months. I thought, yeah right. Do I even have 50 lbs to lose?! With his guidance, I was able to reach this goal with losing MINIMAL muscle. How? It’s because they monitored my nutrition. They keep you accountable. They measured my body fat and lean body mass regularly. This was also incentive for me because I wanted to see how much fat I could lose between each measuring session. I can’t say enough about Kyle and what an amazing guy/trainer he is. He was so supportive. Always came into each session with the best attitude. Always available for me if I had a question or needed to support. But what’s interesting about this place is I always see the other trainers chiming in and I see Kyle chiming in with the other trainers. They are one unit. So really you are being trained by all the trainers. Because they are all watching and observing each others clients. Strength in numbers. It is such a phenomenal business model. He was very helpful in explaining the nutrition/supplement plans as well as the types of workouts that were right for me. He was always there to motivate me when I wanted to give up. His encouragement was just what I needed. Aside from types of workouts and nutrition plans my favorite things I learned from Sam were how to correct my posture, and how to workout with my shoulder injury and neck spasms (all of which I was unaware I struggled with before). Ultimate Performance has completely changed my life for the better. Not only have I reaped all the superficial benefits of weight loss and increased tone and definition, but what surprised and impressed me the most were all the other side effects of finally focusing on my health and fitness with a dedicated, compassionate, knowledgeable, and effective training professional in a supportive environment.

I began training in January 2019. I am a mother of 3 young children in my early 40s with zero prior experience in weight training. In fact, I’ve never had a trainer before. Prior to UP, I had not exercised in about 3 years. When I used to exercise pre-kids, it was never that intense. In short, I was someone with limited experience and knowledge of fitness and exercise. In 12 weeks, I lost all of my remaining baby weight and then some. I lost over 10% of my starting weight and 7.5% in body fat. I surpassed all my general weight loss goals and am currently at a size I haven’t been at in the past 18 years. However, while I’ve reached my 18 year old weight, I’m far stronger and healthier than I ever was at that age.

As someone with limited fitness experience, I was worried about being yelled at by a trainer, put on a really limiting (starvation) diet, and forced beyond my physical limit. None of that happened. For me, I’ve been and continue to be challenged and pushed in all the right ways to obtain results I didn’t think were possible. My trainer, Emily, not only is an expert in her field, but is extremely attuned to my personal needs, motivations, and limits. Together with her guidance, I am able to make progress, feel challenged, yet also motivated and excited about my training. In just 5 years, I’ve now become someone addicted to weight training and eating healthy and have truly embraced an active lifestyle.

Other than the physical benefits of improved fitness, I’ve experienced so many additional positives in my life as a result of UP. As a busy mom of 3 young kids, I often woke up for the day already tired, engaged in emotional eating (e.g., cake as a reward for a hard day), and ended the day feeling completely depleted. While UP obviously cannot eliminate life’s daily stresses, it has given me a better perspective and helped me cope with my busy days. For instance, being in overall better health has given me so much more energy. With more energy I’ve been in a better mood and thus better mindset to focus on healthy eating. Eating healthier in turn provides me with more energy and motivation to maintain this healthy lifestyle. As a result, I’m a better mother to my kids and am able to go through the day with more positive energy.

I could not recommend UP more. I truly believe anyone can find success with UP. In my time as a client, I’ve seen other clients similar to myself and many other clients older and younger, and in different stages of fitness. The trainers are all friendly, positive, and very knowledgeable. The gym is clean and orderly. The community as a whole is supportive and welcoming. I started my fitness journey as I was about to turn 48. Finally, I was where I wanted to be professionally—a good career, solid finances, comfortable house, etc.—all the things that come with putting in long hours at work. But physically (and perhaps even mentally), I was far from where I needed to be—diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and weight that seemed to just keep going up, not to mention the endless prescription pills to keep all these conditions in check—sooner or later, I knew there would be a reckoning that I would have to face. Trust me, I certainly didn’t want to wait until things got really bad, but after years of promising that I’d take better care of myself, countless false starts and momentum that would fade just as fast as they’d come, I really didn’t know how to go about making the lifestyle changes that I knew I needed.

One day, I came across an article about UP that featured someone who, just like me, wanted to get in shape and got phenomenal results. But I was skeptical as my many prior gym memberships can attest. The first thing I noticed about the UP program is that it isn’t just about “working out.” I knew enough to know that working out alone will not get me to where I needed to be. The UP program involves a regular regimen of exercise and nutrition. But I was still skeptical because even if I “successfully” completed the program, how would I sustain it? Keep in mind that my idea of eating “well” meant eliminating virtually all of the foods that I love to eat. Sooner or later, I would go back to eating all the things I shouldn’t.

Despite still feeling skeptical, my hunch was telling me to give it try. After all, if it didn’t work it’d just be an expensive lesson. But, but, but…if it worked, even if I didn’t get the kind of results that I saw in the testimonials, even if I achieved just half of what I set out to do, which was to get my diabetes under control and shed a few pounds, it would be worth it.

I was paired with Bethany Hood and she has been amazing from the start! We started off slowly beginning with the machines and gradually working to free weights. She intuitively knows when to push me to get in that one extra rep. But it was what she taught me about nutrition that made the biggest impact. I began to realize that I didn’t have to eliminate the foods I loved, at least not entirely. She was great about suggesting different foods and snacks to try, and even giving me a nudge here and there when she saw that I was slacking with tracking my food or activity.

UP has exceeded my expectations in every way. Halfway through the program, my doctor even took me off insulin. I feel healthier, happier and relieved knowing that I made the right changes to get my health back on track. I am forever grateful to Bethany and UP for being with me on my fitness journey.

I decided to do something about my weight-gain and body composition at the beginning of 2023. A sedentary work-life and COVID-19 lockdown made what was already not ideal into something I was embarrassed by. I wanted to get stronger, lean and restart what once was an active lifestyle of training, running, tennis, etc. I tried doing it on my own, only to stop because of lack of motivation, unseen results, etc. Because of the tons of testimonials and photographic proof of transformation, I decided to give Ultimate Performance a shot. After being set up with Kevin, I'm extremely pleased with the results. In the last 6 months, I've lost over 30lbs, transformed my body through losing body fat and gaining lean muscle -- I'm on my way to the body I have never had. I'm running and playing tennis every week and have extra energy to do more. My sleep and focus have also improved. Kevin has been integral to the managing of my success. He's extremely knowledgeable and does an amazing job of explaining the hows and whys of what we're doing week to week. But best of all he's the one who keeps me accountable -- even to the point where I've internalized his voice knowing what I should and shouldn't be doing outside the gym with my diet and additional activities. He's been supportive in helping me redevelop my running, encouraging me to enter raises and track and beat my times. All of this in pursuit of a healthier, happier, better me. The self-motivation I was lacking is stronger than it's ever been - but I appreciate having the added support from the personal trainer. My trainer, Cristian, has been great working with me with all my limitations with back injury, which essentially landed me where I was before joining UP. Cristian modifies the sessions based on what my limited amount of exercises I can do. I have seen significant results, and I am gaining muscle strength. I have struggled for most of my life to control my weight, and control my body. Lots of ups and downs, fad diets, and near-injuries lifting having no idea what I was doing. I only joined UP in February (2023), and have already seen changes in my body I didn't think were possible (are those actual ABS I see? Yes they are.). UP really does feel like a 360 experience. Lifting with proper form for maximum benefit and a structured diet are of course one part of it, but what I was not expecting was the degree of support I get from the whole crew (it really feels like all of the trainers know you and are rooting for you), but specifically from my trainer, Bethany. She's a great teacher and a great coach, but has also been awesome at helping me navigate times when I might've slipped up in my diet or workout routine, without any judgement, and has helped strategize around those times, as they are part of life. This aspect of the UP model I think is absolutely critical, as it's helped me build habits that I think both give quick results, but are still healthy and sustainable in the long run. Cari was my trainer and not only was she funny, caring, and overall a really nice person, she motivated me and pushed me passed my limits. I went from weighing 168 and leaving weighing 143/144! I've been working with Matt at Ultimate Performance for 8 weeks and I'm so happy with the results. I've lost 22 pounds, improved my posture, and gained muscle tone.

Matt is an amazing trainer. He's knowledgeable, patient, and motivating. He's helped me perfect my form and posture, and he's created a macro plan (which I can remain in the constraints of) to make sure I’m getting the right nutrients. He does give me grief about my Yasso bars and other nutrition faux pas but that accountability has kept me (mostly) on track.

The workouts are challenging but not overbearing. I always feel like I'm getting a great workout, but I'm never too sore to function the next day. He gently corrects my (frequent) poor form and I feel like I’m doing these workouts for the first time correctly.

As for the amenenties, the gym, locker rooms are well-equipped and have similar products to Equinox (mostly Kiehls products) or the equivalent if you have to shower/change. The training and front desk staff are always very friendly and courteous.

I'm so glad that I decided to work with Matt and with Ultimate Performance. If you're looking for a personal trainer who will help you reach your fitness goals, I highly recommend him.

My fitness journey with my trainer Cristian at Ultimate Performance has exceeded my expectations. I hadn’t worked out properly for a couple of years due to recurring back pain issues, so I was hesitant to dive into an intense training programme - but with Cristian, not only have I not had any flare ups, my back is now so much stronger, and I feel and look so much better. After 20 years of exercise i fell off hard when i got covid and then quit smoking. I gained 60 pound in a year and was super discouraged to fight my way back. I saw the before and after pictures they advertised so checked this out. I have tons of trainers but never had anyone so involved in my progress.
Its about training but much more about accountability and encouragement. I needed some one to stay on me for the first 60 days until i got back in the swing of things and christian (my coach) sends me sms at least daily to keep me on my steps and diet. He Asks me to send him menu of restaurant im eating at so he can help me pick so i stay on point
Im down 30 pounds in 3 months and will not stop training here even when i hit my goals. Im learning to be healthy not just look good

I started my year wanting to be healthier, but was unsure how. I’m not very confident and gyms tend to make me feel overwhelmed. I was drawn to UP based on how regimented their approach was and how supportive their communication seemed. Being paired with Anna made the experience. During my time at UP I went through a lot of personal matters that left me shaken, Anna was incredibly passionate and kind while also keeping me on track. She helped me learn how to eat healthier, she turned me into some who binge ate maybe one meal a day to someone who consistently makes breakfast. Because of her training I’ve felt more confident and strong. I have more faith in my abilities. Because of Anna’s hard work and dedication not only have I lost 20 pounds and gained a healthier mindset, I’ve also found my life becoming easier. As someone who works with horses, I have my fair share of falls but since my training my core, balance and legs have all kept me safe in situations I otherwise would not have been. Furthermore, UP has been dedicated to maintaining my physical health, I have elongated knee tendons and am prone to dislocations with incidents happening once or twice a month. Starting UP has helped strengthened my legs enough that the number has dropped to zero. After putting on many pounds due to COVID, bad lifestyle habits and age and finding it difficult to get off, I decided to give UP Fitness a try. I’m so happy to report that I’ve lost 15lbs so far - which for my body is nothing short of a miracle. For years, regardless of what I’ve done, I hadn’t seen the needle on the scale move and had become more and more frustrated. Historically, I’ve been an avid runner and done every type of workout including HIIT, CrossFit, indoor cycling and the toughest bootcamps and I can honestly say that I’m finally getting in my best shape.

I can’t recommend my trainer, Kyle Roark, enough. He has diligently monitored my workouts and my diet, making adjustments when needed to help me keep on track. I’ve learned so much from him about nutrition, digestion and hormones even though I would say I didn’t consider myself to be ignorant on any of those topics previously. He’s been patient with my ever changing schedule, motivating, supportive, encouraging and always positive. He’s pushed me to do more than I previously thought I could. I really don’t think I could have made the changes I’ve made to my stubborn body without his guidance. He’s also a nice guy who I enjoy going to see and workout with.

I’d also add that I’ve talked with several other clients walking in our out of the gym and everyone praises UPF and the results they’re seeing. That’s encouraging as well and helps keep me going. I highly recommend giving UP Fitness and Kyle a try if you’re looking for real results.

I love this place. I started working out with Kyle R in early September after a year of no physical activity and coming off an intense back injury. Kyle came up with a workout plan that avoids certain movements to prevent another injury. With that and my constant business travel, we have still managed to lose nearly 20 LBS in that time. I have learned a lot about making healthy food choices and finding ways to get my steps in/workouts in while traveling for work.

Been training with Cristian at UP for about 3 weeks now. Before joining I was hesitant mainly because of the price. I actually inquired twice before I decided to have an assessment with Tracey. She took time and sat down with me about what worked or didn’t work before, what my goals are and preferences. I was then paired up with Cristian who was gracious enough to take my 5am session requests.

Training with Cristian was something I have never had. I had several trainers before. The 3 words I can describe him are detailed, direct and dedicated. He focused on correct form in order to work on the muscles we are working on and to avoid injury. That, I truly appreciate because it made me realize what I was doing wrong and that I know I am safe from injury. He pushes me beyond the self limits I put on myself. He will encourages me to do 1-2 more reps when in my head, my hands are dead already but he makes sure you know he’s there to complete those last reps!

6 years ago, I was diagnosed with cystic renal carcinoma that sent my health spiraling out of control. I had gained 30 pounds during my recovery. A promotion had me focus my energy on my career and I gained another 20 pounds. I turned 50 with an extra 50 pounds. I had a friend use Ultimate Performance several years ago. I saw his before and after photos on Instagram and was immediately dumbfounded and contacted him to ask what he had done. I learned about Ultimate Performance from my friend who told me how much she liked it and how much she's learned from her trainer, Roxy. I had gained some weight over the Covid lockdown and from a recent thyroid issue and didn't feel good (joint pain, less energy, etc). I'd tried to lose weight on my own but it was difficult. I decided to sign up and train with Roxy.

From Day 1, I felt like I was in good hands with her. I learned a lot about nutrition and macros and did intense workouts 3x a week. Roxy was very motivating during our training sessions and made sure I was using the correct form to ensure I wouldn't get injured. She encouraged me and offered lots of advice outside of the gym. I'm 4 weeks into a 12-week program and I'm loving it so far! It took me a while to decide, as it is an expensive investment and I was worried about it being just a marketing stunt, but I'm so glad I did it. I've tried online programs before and training on my own, and never saw the results I'm seeing in less than a month. The difference is not only in the training itself (which is top-notch), but the learning that comes with it, the habits it's helping me form, and the accountability.

My trainer Lorson is just amazing! The partnership with your trainer is the best part of UP, as your goals are truly their goals. He's helped me learn how to listen to my body, and how to pay attention to all the details that make a world of a difference (breathing, posture, form...). I developed really bad headaches a couple of days into the program -which was a big bummer- and he was awesome in helping me get back on track (I had to take a few days off which he was very supportive of) and once I was ready to go back he adapted the workout program in a way I was able to learn, prevent it from happening again and get back on track with confidence. Lorson is always there if I have any questions about my progress, nutrition, and exercises and this is truly a luxury.

No wonder I wasn't seeing results in the programs I've done before this, I realized how little I knew! With everything I'm learning with Lorson, I'm confident that I'll see a great transformation through the program and that I will be able to carry these habits and learnings beyond the program, which was my main motivator.

In regards to UP's program itself, I only wish there had been some onboarding time before the first session to get ready for the rigor the program requires and that the food tracking app was a bit more seamless, it's way more basic and buggy than other food trackers in the market (most products I scan show wrong serving sizes/metrics, so you have to be extra careful with it to avoid mistracking). Other than that, the program is great and the fact that you can see and track your results in one place is amazing. The numbers speak for themselves!

My experience overall with Ultimate Performance has been great, though the initial onboarding experience was a little bumpy. I had contacted the gym after first seeing the ads on social media about 2 months ahead of actually being matched with a Trainer and starting my program. In this waiting period of being matched with a Trainer, there was little communication about the progress being made to match me based on my preferred schedule. Once matched with my Trainer, Bethany Hood, there were several items to get a routine going whether they be activity, nutrition, etc. which could have been covered or addressed during the waiting period before training begun. This included getting a Fitbit watch, food scale, getting my rough meal plan (though the exact Macro count came after the initial assessment) started and understanding how meal services could work for me. These items were addressed only after the initial meeting with the Trainer and initial assessment which took several weeks to get ironed out, when I think they could have been addressed while I was waiting to be matched.

I have been a part of the program at the West Hollywood location for about 2 months now and have enjoyed the structure of the program, which addresses nutrition, exercise inside and outside of the gym and I like that there is a holistic approach to this process. This will set me up better for the future when I’m done with my program. The app which is used to track all of the daily food, exercise, etc. is daunting at first, but then becomes second nature as you go along the program. The app however can be buggy at times which can be frustrating, but I have seen fairly quick turnaround if you send in a ticket to the support team. The gym itself is convenient for me to get to, there is ample street parking, but it would be nice to have parking available in the structure to clients especially during peak hours around the gym, the gym is well maintained, clean and there is a locker room and bathroom on site. The other Trainers who I’ve come across during my training schedule are extremely friendly and it feels like a “Cheers” moment because everyone knows your name.

Bethany is knowledgeable in her training, but also is open to feedback and suggestions throughout the process. She motivates, encourages, and strives to do all she can for a client. She has an upbeat personality and that is helpful to get you going through a workout. She communicates often through the gym’s app which is key to getting feedback on demand and if there is anything that needs to be addressed quickly. I’ve seen great improvement from all fronts since I’ve started my training with Bethany and look forward to achieving more of my goals together! She truly is a partner in this journey and wants what I want to achieve. If anyone is willing to put in the commitment financially, physically, and nutritionally, then I would highly recommend the gym and the Trainers who work there.

If you are wanting incredible results in a short period of time, and relatively simple to do by just following the program, then LOOK NO FURTHER. Don't waste your money and time.

I was DESPERATE. My health was declining, and My muscles were weak, I had low energy and I couldn't fit in my clothes at all. The past couple of years, I had hired different trainers, and supposedly good ones, PLUS I was working out 6 days a week!! This went on for years with very minimal results. I even saw a doctor, did a full blood panel to see what was wrong. Nothing was wrong. I was beyond frustrated.

One day I saw in the news about Ultimate Performance. I was skeptical, thought this must be BS, and with good reason as nothing had worked. I researched endless hours on them and decided to give them a try after I read everyone else's reviews, worldwide - everywhere - testifying how great it worked for them.

After a short waitlist, I managed to get in, and train with Eddie B. First off, they do an entire body check measurement, a comprehensive questionnaire to understand your situation. They take progress photos, and they give you an entire work up of your macros (Calories, Protein, Carbs, Fats etc) to follow. This is completely tailored around you. Who does that? I knew they were serious. And so was I.

They only require 10k steps a day, and your weight training with them. They have an app, which really helps the process. You log in your activity, or the app pulls it from your fitness watch (I ended up buying one). You communicate with your trainer via the app, and they check in with you daily.
You input your food consumption in the app, which helps them understand your eating habits and make sure you're following the macros. It is also good for accountability. It makes you think twice before having that chocolate cake. Do you really want them to see that? Noooo. Accountability!

After starting with Eddie B, I realized no other trainers trained me the way he did. These trainers at UP, understand the body, understand the physical limitations that people have and know how to work with it, or around it, whatever it takes. And the Gym! It is so squeaky clean, so nice with new equipment.

Guess what? In only 90 days, going only 3 times a week, I lost 25 pounds, I am physically strong, I feel fantastic, my skin looks incredible (that’s what my friends keep telling me along with how great I look). I was sorely mistaken!

My trainer, Steven T., has consistently pushed me to my limits every session and I am absolutely certain my body would never have regained its current shape if I worked out on my own for six weeks. Steven has corrected many bad habits that I’ve developed from lifting weights and his minor adjustments have increased the efficiency of my workouts; I believe he’s saved me from future injuries. Not only is Steven knowledgeable in fitness, but he also provides invaluable insight into my diet and nutrition so that my body recovers properly and is ready for our next grueling workout session. Steven quite literally always has my back and I trust him in guiding my body to the next level. As a man who loves outdoor activities, somehow Ultimate Performance has made working out in the gym fun!

Due to scheduling changes toward the tail end of my sessions, I had to start training with Bethany H. The transition between trainers was seamless and because Bethany always has my back I’ve been reaching new PRs! Not only is Bethany extremely detailed with her corrections, but she also has a predilection toward suggesting creative meals that fits my macros. After I told her about my chicken breast/turkey bacon diet, she immediately shared some food items and food recipe tips that added much needed variety to my daily meals—Woot! Most importantly, the experience and knowledge Bethany has with regards to developing all aspects of the human body is impressive and inspiring. I can say without hesitation that in a short span of time, the trainers at UP have transformed my mind, body, and health!

Hands down one of the best investments I made this year. Cristian was my trainer and working with him I achieved some pretty incredible results. My body fat dropped from ~30 to 17%, my weight from 172 to 148, and my jeans went from a 32W to a 28W. Like so many, my husband and I came through two years of COVID with significant weight gain. Our activity levels had dropped meaningfully and we were tired of feeling lethargic all the time. In our mid/late 50s, we knew we needed to make meaningful changes to our lifestyle in order to get back in shape. We found UP after an extensive search online and a number of conversations with various personal trainers. None of the programs we looked at integrated workouts, nutrition and personal accountability except for UP. Still, somewhat skeptical, we scheduled an introductory meeting to learn more. I am a 57 year old woman with Hashimoto’s. As a result, my metabolism was shot. I had let my weight go and convinced myself that it wasn’t that bad. It takes absolute and full commitment if you want results. I have never worked harder but at the same time, I have never accomplished so much. He ensures that you have perfect form on each rep so that you get the maximum benefit from your effort. This is not a chit chat, do a set, chit chat some more kind of place. This is a place to dig deep, find out what you’re made of and transform yourself. You leave every workout completely exhausted but energized at the same time. And as I said earlier, every trainer in the gym is rooting you on, as are the other clients in the gym.

If you commit, you cannot help but be successful in your journey. I mentioned accountability earlier. This program is built on accountability. Your daily steps, the tracking of your food consumption and finally, your bi-weekly weigh-in, skin flap measurements, photos and blood pressure assessment ensure complete and total transparency. Remember, this program is about changing your life, not just losing weight and toning up.

Although UP is the most professional gym available with a great management, I
believe my outstanding trainer Kyle is the reason for my goal achievements.
Having ballet background makes me idealist person who is paying lots of attention to details,so finding a personal trainer with understanding of what kind of lean and long body I am looking for was always a challenge for me.
I have been working with Kyle for 12 weeks so far and realized his superb knowledge since the first day .He has challenged me in ways that I've never imagined. He’s always
available to answer all my questions about exercises and nutrition, even the mindset I should have in details.

It's really simple: if you want to get results, go to UP, and ask for Cristian.

This is my second time using UP for results (the first was about 6 years ago in London, which was brutal but great) - I was nervous about using them again because, whilst the results were undeniable, it felt so restrictive. In retrospect, I just lacked the maturity to adjust my mindset and really communicate with my trainer. But not this time.

This time I was paired up with Cristian - the first thing I noticed was how serious he was about reaching the goals I set out. At first this seemed intimidating (especially as I said my goal was to look like a ripped Matthew McConaughey in 6 weeks lol), but it's actually the most reassuring thing to have in a trainer: someone who takes your goals as seriously as you (maybe even more-so).

Training sessions are hard - very hard. But, on the other hand, they're easy, because all you have to do is show up and do what you're told - all the guesswork about the right weights/reps/sets/form/training routine is all on Cristian. This was crucial for me because in the years between UP trainers I went "rogue" and caused myself a serious long-term back injury from improper training. In trining with Cristian, I always feel safe, and I haven't had a single back issue (and I'm using HEAVY weights).

In-between sessions, Cristian makes it clear from the outset that he is available for any questions and will keep you accountable by calling out any red flags (diet, steps, etc.) he sees via the UP app. A perfect example is when I used a meal prep service that I thought was within my calorie range, but my weight stopped dropping and Christian advised to pause the service, once I did I started loosing again. That's the kind of attention you can expect from him.

As a result of all of the above, I have lost over 25lb in just 5 weeks...insane (especially as I have 7 weeks left)! Clothes that I was close to throwing out fit like they once did, I'm sleeping better, and my approach to food is filled with far less anxiety. Wins across the board!

Cristian recognises the financial investment you're making in yourself by choosing UP, and equally invests his energy and time to get you the best return possible. I'm so glad I chose to do this again with UP.

Joining the UP 6-week training program has been one of the best choices of my life. I started the program at UP in July 2021. I’m a native New Yorker in my late 20s and for the past 3 years I have not felt in control of my diet and weight. I was in grad school for the first 2 years and then COVID occured. I knew I wanted to make drastic lifestyle changes but I didn’t know how. I would walk into a gym and workout but not really know what I was doing. I tried so many fad diets that never worked. Since I work remotely, I decided to spend a couple months in LA and what better way to get the LA experience with a complete body transformation.

I was paired with Cristian as my trainer. Since day 1, Cristian has been an amazing trainer to me. Cristian has challenged me in ways that I didn't know existed. Cristian is always adding extra weight to my reps and displays confidence that I can do it. I’m not always confident I can do the reps but Cristian is always there rooting me on and empowering me to push through. I have never felt alone throughout my program because Cristian answers all my questions (and I ask alot of questions!) via text, in person or on the phone, no matter what time of the day it is. Not to mention, Cristian always spends extra time making sure I know the technique and form properly.

Throughout my time at UP, I faced many mental challenges but every single time I wanted a venting session or just someone to talk to, Cristian has always been there for me. Cristian went through this program so he understands the day to day struggles that occur. It has been super helpful how empathetic he has been throughout this process.

My main goal when joining UP was to get more educated on how to eat, workout and live a healthy lifestyle. I am 10/14 weeks through the program, and I can confidently say I’ve already crushed my main goal. I am more confident about what to eat, I walk into the gym so confident in my form and I make healthier lifestyle choices. I am ecstatic to begin this brand new chapter in my life and I could not have done it without Cristian & UP giving me the tools to succeed.

I'm an Ultimate Performance fan for life. They made me achieve things I never thought possible and now they have a 2nd location in WeHo, which is super clean and spacious. They also disinfect everything you use after each circuit, which is comforting after this past year. My trainer Eddie is a Jedi. He's super knowledgeable about all things training and diet. I'm someone that is injury prone and have never ever gotten hurt like I have at other gyms. So much so, that I've come in with neck & back issues from sleeping funny and Eddie has fixed it, a Jedi. It just feels nice knowing that you can fully trust the staff to get you the results you want or anything beyond what you might've dreamed for yourself. They're the experts.

If you are looking for real results, UP is the right place if you are committed. It is impossible to follow their program and not get results. I honestly did not realize what I was getting myself into when I signed up. I have gone to other personal trainers before and they take it to the next level.

I was paired up with Cristian and he is the absolute best. He listens to your training goals and does a great job at working with you to achieve your goals. I signed up for a 12 week program and in the middle of it I was getting married and Cristian made sure I was able to not only enjoy my wedding but to get back on track and reach my goals.

He focuses and makes sure you are working out the proper way and after each session I am totally destroyed. We use an app (Body Prophet) to help me follow my steps, home workouts, and diets. If I am not able to meet my requirements due to my busy schedule he would come up with different ideas with diet and workout so I can still get what I want out of my training.

I've seen amazing results in a short amount of time which is probably why everyone signs up for this. Every session with Cristian is a mix of toughness, proper coaching, and fun! You won't regret giving this gym a chance.

First let me advise anyone who is considering training here ... you NEED to come in with the mindset of commitment, a commitment to your health and to want to change yourself for yourself. It requires a serious mindset, one that will require you to follow their guide lines for food (which is more lenient than you would think, I haven’t been hungry once since I started this program) and daily activity. It’s a lifestyle adjustment to better yourself because ... you owe it to yourself.

I was a bit hesitant to go back indoors because of covid, but their safety protocols and bookings of clients assured me. The level of cleanliness (I have gotten the clean freak status from many friends) here is top notch, ever been to equinox? Even cleaner than them.

After an interview of what I’m looking to gain from this experience (it truly is) and many other questions, I was assigned to Cristian ... perfect match. The guy doesn’t only push me the way I need to ... but he gets me. I don’t think they just hire anyone here with the proper accolades ... however please note, this guy tries to kill me physically every session I’m there and I’m grateful for it ... because I owe it to myself to get better each time.

My mindset coming into this was a demanding one ... demanding of myself to be better for my family, my future and most importantly myself. EVERYTIME I am on way to train I adjust my attitude, knowing that I’m going into battle, going in to carve out a better version of me through sweat and pain, going in and giving it everything I got and leaving it all on the floor.

Most people equate getting in shape with pain and discomfort but with the right coaching you aren’t focused on the negatives because you’re too busy seeing the results. Outside of the gym, Cristian curtailed my diet plan according to my preferences. Whenever I had any hangups or questions, he was able to quickly guide me to healthier choices and substitutions that met my cooking abiities and restrictions.
