This Dojo really incorporates martial arts into there teachings. The instructors are absolutely amazing, fun, knowledgeable, they engage with the students,(like they correct them when needed or even have a Sensai work directly)& they focus on both techniques and life skills(discipline, respect, confidence).
My daughter arrives to a welcoming Dojo that greats her everyone knows her name and cheers her on. The environment is well maintained and the dojo is very clean.
Most importantly about this Dojo not only does it represent Martial Art it incorporates friends and family.
My daughter is incorporating mental and life skills that have engaged in her self-esteem to her focus level has grown. I am thankful for all the Sensai and the leadership that makes this Defense Academy the BEST!

This studio is amazing! Senseis Evan, Archie, and their assistant instructors make lessons so much fun while providing such great lessons in respect, self-discipline, and great self-defense. The kids love their lessons and always look forward to doing the group classes.

I have my almost 7yo go to Foothill Ranch Karate for almost 9 mths now, and she is learning so much!! I always wanted her to know the defense moves but also have fun with it, and this is that place! Highly recommend this place if you are interested in teaching your child karate but also want him/her to have fun while learning since all the sensei are SO PATIENT (I cant emphasize this more from what I have witnessed) and understanding and at the same time can inculcate discipline. Apparently, the moves she is learning are being practiced on me these days and by the looks of it I might need to learn some of them as well 😌😆

I wanted to give 6 stars for this dojo but I am only limited to 5 stars. This is because this dojo was just AMAZING. I have been a part of this dojo for more than 3 years now and I can say that all the Sensei’s were amazing, helpful, and care about you like you are one of them. It was an amazing experience being a part of this dojo and would highly recommend anyone to join this to not only learn karate, but to learn discipline and to be a part of the USSD family that cares about you. Thank you Sensei Archie, Sensei Evan, Sensei Matt, Sensei Noah, and all other Sensei’s that helped me in karate and self-defense.

This dojo is everything you’re looking for and more. From the entertaining senseis to the meaningful instruction, we couldn’t be happier. My son started as a timid 6 year old and he has evolved into a confident, strong ninja.
They offer group and private lessons which are included in the tuition where they focus on martial arts skills, weapons and forms.
But the cherry on top and what sets this dojo apart from others is the senseis. I can’t say enough about the phenomenal senseis, Evan, Archie, Noah, Vincent, Tony, just to name a few. Their level of enthusiasm and commitment to each and every kid is out of this world. They make every class exciting while also fostering discipline, respect and a love of martial arts. Not only do the kids come to this dojo to learn karate, they also come for the fun, friendships and positive experience.
If you’re looking for a dojo where your child will grow in a safe and engaging environment, look no further. Give this place a try, you will not regret it! This is coming from a very satisfied parent of a child who’s been attending this dojo for almost 3 years now.

My daughter had a blast at Foothill Ranch Karate! The small group sessions were her favorite and it was always an energetic, happy experience for her. Sensei Evan couldn't have been a better instructor: very funny and sensitive to the kids' needs while also maintaining a level of discipline and respect for the instructors and the dojo. A really great experience overall!

Instructors are great here. They work with all families and their hectic schedules. The kids have so much fun. Prices are average, contracts are not set in stone. If you're not happy with it, you can opt out anytime. Two group classes a week and a private one on one session a week. If you're not able to make your scheduled one on one you can reschedule, and you won't lose those. My son loves it here.

We love this dojo, and visit here weekly during the Wednesday group classes. The Senseis are absolutely amazing practitioners, and have incredibe teaching skills, especially when it comes to the young children. We are fortunate to have them as a part of our community.

My 6 yr old is very focused but needs work gaining confidence. Came in for our free trial with Sensei Even and he was so engaging and positive my son had a blast. He worked well following directions and we had to sign him up. He has wanted to come back to class every other day since and absolutely loves it!

My son is very hyperactive and has issues focusing. He was temporary paralyzed and spent a good amount of time in the hospital recovering. His goal at the end of recovery was to do Karate. We were recommended to try this one in FootHill Ranch. Since the very first day my kids has loved going here and looks forward to going here 3 times a week. All of the instructors are very knowledgeable, welcoming, and kind to my kids and family. They have learned so much and have become very motivated to continue to build their skills. Since starting my son has started to build strength back in his legs, gain confident after dealing with serious medical emergency and he gets to expel all that energy while practicing his listening/focusing skills.
Thank you for teaching my kids and providing great customer service. It really does make the experience better and it makes the kids who are doing it much happier. To parents trying to figure out if Karate is good for their kids, go down there with your kids and talk to the instructors. I guarantee you will sign your kids up that day. The money and time will be worth it.

We were in town visiting some family and our children were invited to a class with our families son. The kids had a blast and sensei was fantastic with them. If we lived here we would definitely sign up.
