Scott at Unity not only provides high-level training for professional athletes, but can help older, non-athletes like myself to recover from surgeries safely. I've recently had two knee replacement surgeries and as a "senior" woman, it's hard to find a trainer who can safely help me get back into shape. Scott listens well to my concerns and adjusts the training sessions to address my current issues. Some days that involves a lot of "table/mobility" work to stretch out tight muscles. Other days, he pushes me through a tough strength-training session. I especially value his continual analysis of my form to ensure that don't hurt myself while strength-training.

I’ve been practicing at Unity Performance for about two months, and it’s completely changed my golf game. I work with Jack Henneberry and Scott, using the two Trackman bays 4–5 times a week to improve my stance, swing, and ball striking. Scheduling is easy, the facility is spotless, and Jack has given me great focus points that have made a big difference.
My scores are lower, my contact is cleaner, and I feel more confident every time I play. Unity Performance has helped me become a better golfer all around. I highly recommend checking out the facility, meeting Jack and Scott, and taking advantage of their lessons or practice options—it’s hands down the best value for golf training in the South Bay (Hermosa Beach). I’m also planning to start golf-specific training with Scott soon to build flexibility and strength. Couldn’t recommend them more!

Jack did an excellent job of using the software to show me a couple if weaknesses in my swing that were causing me problems then giving me ideas of how to correct them. I will be back for a check up and more suggestions on how to take my game to the next level. You need an instructor who can analyze the data then help you apply it. Jack is that guy.

I have worked with Jack Henneberry for golf instruction over the past couple of years and it has been a fantastic experience. He is truly dedicated to your success and invested in your wins. His communication style makes it easy to understand his teachings and he does a good job of not overwhelming you or providing too much too quick. It is well paced which ultimately helps you grow and develop.

Review of Unity Performance Fitness and Personal Training
After foot surgery, my physical therapist suggested I do some strength training. I came upon Unity Performance through the recommendation of a friend. Scott is very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and patient. Having never done any strength training before, it has been a fairly steep learning curve. My personal program has concentrated on strength, of course, but also flexibility, balance and endurance. I’m a person that needs to know the why of things and Scott is very happy to explain what muscles I’m affecting, why he chose this exercise and why it’s important.
It has been almost 6 months now and I feel stronger and healthier. I believe my balance and flexibility are better and I feel like I walk and sit with better posture. I leave the sessions feeling like I’ve had a great workout and in better spirits than when I walked in.
I highly recommend Scott and Unity Performance.

I have been working with Jack Henneberry for about 1 year now. I have very much enjoyed my time learning with him. He is an outstanding golf instructor with patience, encouragement and knowledge. He has helped me move from a beginner player with only confidence on par 3s (if that) to one with the confidence to conquer the full 18. My handicap is steadily lowering. Scott is AMAZING ! He works with my high school son who is in baseball and basketball and the stretches and training are things that are keeping him out of pain (especially as he grows) and are not things he has done before despite having other trainers. I highly recommend Scott!

After receiving an assessment (humbling) I have been attending the group classes with Scott for several months. I picked up some good swing thoughts/posture adjustments during the assessment that have positively affected my game. The small workout classes have been excellent and very customizable. I am feeling stronger and hitting the ball further. I enjoy the golf specific exercises more so than just lifting weights.

I’ve been client for over a year and Scott is awesome! His background at Athlete’s Performance (EXOS), and with a degree as Doctor of Physical Therapy makes him one of the most technically knowledgeable trainers I’ve ever worked with. His workouts are creative and have a lot of seemingly easy movements that really end up being tough. He’s really helped me with my rotation and movement in my mid-back. Recently I tore my meniscus and he’s getting me in shape and confident about getting back out on the court. Incredible trainer!

Meeting Scott has truly been a game changer. Every session I seem to show up with a new injury to manage, but Scott’s problem solving skills always shine through. He helps me work around challenges while continuing to progress toward higher levels of functional performance. He introduced me to foam rolling and active stretching to kick off each session. From there, his customized program of core strengthening and flexibility exercises have made me stronger than ever.

I have been at Unity Performance since my Junior year at High School(4 years). From working with Coach Scott, I was able to learn how to get stronger and faster in my golf swing by using golf specific workouts that I have learned and not just using weights like I was shown in High School. These golf workouts have helped me to rotate better and bring my swing speed up drastically. Since I have been at Unity Performance, I finished my High School golf career at St. John Bosco and have played Collegiate golf as well. I've been training with Scott for little over a year now and I've noticed a definite difference in my golf game. Longer drives and less soreness after a round. I've also lost about 30 pounds since starting so that helps too! What I've noticed is Scott has a lot of older clientele and he tailors their workout to their abilities, so don't be intimidated if you're a little older! Would highly recommend.

I have been working with Scott and his team now for almost a year and I have seen great improvements with my overall body health, and my mobility. My main focus with him and his team has been Golf fitness, mobility work and golf related strength exercises. I have seen great results and have seen a swing speed increase with my golf swing.
He and his team knowledge is amazing for how to ensure your workout is consistent and seeing results. Occasionally if my body is feeling fatigue or sore- we just focus our sessions to full recovery where he works on Stretching and massage work around the body.
He and his team’s attention to detail even with breathing techniques during workouts as well.
Overall, happy to have found a good space for golf workouts and strength training. His facility is great too.

I am thrilled to be working with Scott at Unity Performance. He's not only a stellar human being, but he's a great trainer...calm, nice, extremely knowledge and very effective. I started working with him to recover from some back issues (I'm 63) and (with those now behind me) have progressed to more mobility, flexibility and strength work. My wife and I usually work out together, and Scott is superb at doing what is right for each of us, each time (my wife is in better shape)...Scott (nicely) pushes each of us enough to be effective but not so much as to be too much. All lin all, I could not recommend Unity Performance more highly...it's just a first-class operation with first-class people.

I was looking for a personal trainer as a way to prioritize fitness amongst the demands of husband, father, and career. Unity was a perfect fit to also focus the effort around golf fitness. Scott and his team are so great and have helped me gain mobility, strength, and stability, which have translated to better scores and more fun on the golf course. We regularly work in manual stretch therapy when the muscles are feeling tight from too much travel or time behind the desk. My wife began joining me and now we have a scheduled time every week to work out and grab dinner together, which has been a game changer for both body and soul. Prior to knowing Scott, I would be at the chiropractor once a month, since working with Scott, it is maybe once a year. This review is long overdue! I’ve been working out at Unity with Scott for over 2 years now and I am still impressed by Scott’s knowledge and the attention he gives to us. My main goal was to increase strength while concentrating on full body workouts. There have been weeks where I’ve trained 3 consecutive days with him, & he always has a new routine/circuit for me. He doesn’t repeat anything we did in the previous day/week and he doesn’t even look at his notes. He automatically knows off the top of his head what weight I should be lifting/pulling/ etc. He’s a stickler for form, always making sure I’m in good posture with each move.
Every session he asks how my body is feeling before we start. If I have any soreness/muscle aches, he will offer manual stretch therapy to make sure I don’t get injured and this has helped me increase my range of motion/flexibility. He has also taught me how important breath work can be for my overall cardio and I’ve incorporated new breathing techniques into my daily routine.
Me and my hubby do a semi-private lesson (hubby concentrates more on golf fitness). We also jump in to his group sessions every week. We both agree that Scott is THE BEST personal trainer. If you’re looking for candlelight and aromatherapy, this is not your place. This is just a legit gym with a legit trainer who will focus on you and only you for a full hour! Highly recommend!

Unity Performance is a great gym run by Scott Rogowski, who's really friendly and knows his stuff. Scott is certified in Muscular Stretching Therapy (MST), which has helped us get stronger and improve our form. The gym has a good mix of weights, cardio machines, and specialized equipment. My wife and I have been training with Scott for 7 years, and he’s always been attentive to our individual needs. There’s also a full golf fitness training system in the back that I’ve seen help many with their golf swings!
