This is a beautiful facility with excellent trainers. Clean, great bathrooms (with showers), and a fancy water bottle filling station.
I met Chip for a trial class and was delighted by the way he addressed different needs and bodies. He is enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
The workout was great! Clear instructions with the workout displayed on a big screen. Started and ended on time. The movements were appropriately challenging and approachable for all levels.

I was looking for some drop in sessions when were staying at Oakland prior to moving in to our permanent home in SF.
Josh the manager was prompt with the communication and very accommodating.
The workout was great, I had a session each with Kristen and Lacey. Thanks guys!

I LOVE Urban Fitness! I walked in and felt immediately at home. Working out can be so intimidating. I was tired of going to my local "traditional" gym and not knowing what to do. I needed a change/push and I'm so glad I found this urban gem in Jack London, Oakland. The coaches are inspiring and become your gym BFF. The workouts are challenging yet fun. The people you work out with become like family. If you need a new gym in Oakland I highly recommend UFO.

Great class based gym that I would recommend to anyone looking to get and stay in shape. They keep the classes fresh which keeps me motivated to get up everyday at 6AM.

Friendly, supportive gym with intense team and semi-private workouts with many time slots. Great results if you come at least a few times a week.

I consider Urban Fitness my second home. I’ve been a part of the gym for 4 years and still to this day I look forward to going and getting my butt kicked. The coach’s rock, the clients are awesome and the facility is top notch. There’s never any judgment, only good vibes and high fives. The coaches have helped me get into the best shape of my life. And every time I leave the gym I feel stronger, fitter and confident. So if you’re looking for a gym that is welcoming, judgment free, passionate and fun, check Urban Fitness out. They have truly changed and impacted my life in many ways.

Urban Fitness is amazing. It's more than just a gym - it's an actual community. The culture Noah and his team have created is unlike any other gym I've been to. Everyone comes from different fitness backgrounds, yet they are all really supportive (unless you're on an opposing team and then you can really see everyone's true competitiveness!). The workout changes daily, which is great for those that get bored easily. They never get easier; there are things I still struggle with 3 years later. However you DO get stronger.

The workouts look incredibly intimidating but they don't take long to master. Once you do, you look super bad ass flipping tires, cleaning kettle bells and pushing prowlers. If you're not convinced yet, try their introductory program. You won't regret it!

This is something other then a gym. Its an proactive community health organization. When you walk into UFO you will only make it a few steps before someone says hello. Could be coach, could be a member, could be the water delivery dude. This place is about bring people in, bring people together. The community that is here make the workouts more like fun trails by fire with you homies. The coaches are experts and detailed, workouts always test your strength, endurance and more importantly your will. This place is Cheers meets Elite Performance Training. My AM workout gets me ready to dominate my day. Don't come here unless you like dominating your days and having massive painful fun doing it.

Urban Fitness isn't just another gym.

The people, the facility, the trainers, the workouts, the equipment - it's absolutely unbelievable. New workouts each time mean your never bored or in a routine. Having trainers give you direction every couple minutes means you don't have to "think" about what thing to do next. It leaves all your energy to focus on doing the one thing in front of you - go hard. I have been going to this gym for more than 18 months ~3 days a week and not ONCE have I experienced the same workout. Nothing is cookie cutter. The owner Noah hires and pays living wages to his employees to get the absolute best trainers who care about every single person in that class. If you have an injury, no problem they will tailor it to you.

One last thing - It's not like cross fit where people just push you harder and harder till you eventually overdo it and injure yourself. There is a wide range of people around you all using different weights.

This place is πŸ’― . See you there
