Friday Flow is a necessity in my week!

Go to Amanda’s Friday Flow class!! So fun! She’s so chill and gives out free drinks and white claws. Perfect for the end of the week. Most affordable in town and in my opinion you get more than what you pay for with Amanda’s class specifically.

Very welcoming place. I love the staff!! My only complaint is not against the business but some of the members are getting out of control from talking loudly, cell phones going off, people walking in late whilr class has already been going. Please be mindful of others.

I’ve done about 10 yoga classes so far at UrbanCore Studios. I have really enjoyed it. I wanted to try something new this year so decided to do yoga. The price is very reasonable. I believe it may be the lowest in town from what I’ve seen at other studios. I’ve had three different instructors. All three are great. When you walk in they are very welcoming and make you feel comfortable. Some classes are more challenging than others but you are also encouraged to go at your own pace. I would highly recommend this studio.

**Updated Review:**

I’d like to clarify something in response to your reply: I completely understand that scheduling can be difficult, and I have no issue with you deciding not to move forward with my proposal for a class. That’s absolutely fine. What’s disappointing, though, is the way this was handled.

You completely missed the point of my feedback. My main issue isn’t that the class wasn’t accepted—it's that the communication felt impersonal and disconnected. After such an exciting week at your studio, where I was fully engaged with the classes and instructors, I was hoping for a response that matched that energy. Instead, your reply was dry and generic, without any personal touch, not even a name attached to the response. I actually had to follow up multiple times just to get a response, which left me feeling like I was wasting my time.

On top of that, I had previously spoken to two of your instructors, and both gave me the impression that this was something you’d be open to. It seems like there’s a disconnect between your internal communication, which might be worth addressing. Your community is something you talk about with pride, but actions speak louder than words. A truly supportive community values real connection and open communication, and unfortunately, that’s where this interaction fell short.

I’m sharing this to help highlight how important it is for a studio—especially one that values community and inclusiveness—to take extra care in how they communicate with members and prospective collaborators. Hopefully, this feedback helps you improve your practices moving forward.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

I recently attended this yoga studio for a week using an Unlimited Week Pass, participating in nearly all of the classes offered. Throughout my week at the studio, I had a few questions about registration and payment, which I addressed via email. The studio responded within five minutes to each inquiry, and I have screenshots of these email exchanges if anyone needs confirmation.

During my time there, I had some professional questions intended for the studio owner, which I initially asked two of the instructors. Both recommended that I reach out to the studio owner directly. One instructor even mentioned that they had been discussing what I was going to propose with the studio owner. I followed their advice and emailed the owner. Unfortunately, their responses were quite slow. Initially, I received a reply after a few weeks asking for more information, which I promptly provided in detail. Despite multiple follow-ups, I did not receive a response until I was ultimately declined. The communication was impersonal and did not include any encouragement or hope to see me again.

In my view, this situation reflects very poor business practices. The handling of my queries and professional questions was inadequate and failed to foster a welcoming environment. The yoga community is supposed to be about building and supporting a positive and inclusive community, and the management fell short of this ideal. Their approach not only undermines client relations but also misses the opportunity to create a supportive and engaging environment that benefits everyone involved.

My connection to this space began with EvolveCore and, after their departure, continues with UrbanCore. I'm grateful many of the previous instructors continue to teach here and have enjoyed getting to know the instructors that have come from other corners of Bakersfield. It's quite the melting pot! Namaste, loves.

Urban Core Yoga is a go-to studio for unwinding and centering myself in the heart of the city. From the moment you walk in, the warm atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel welcome. It's clean, spacious, and has a calming ambiance that perfectly complements the practice. Projection lighting zen.

What truly elevates Urban Core Yoga is their incredible instructors. I recently took a class with Natalie, and let me tell you, she's an absolute gem! Her instructions are clear and concise, making it easy for yogis of all levels to follow along. What I particularly appreciate is Natalie's understanding and helpful nature. She creates a space where you feel comfortable asking questions and modifying poses to suit your own body. No matter your experience level; she ensures you get the most out of your practice.

Another big plus for Urban Core Yoga is the convenience of booking classes online. Their website is user-friendly and allows you to easily browse the schedule, find a class that works for you, and secure your spot in advance. This is a lifesaver for tight schedules like mine!

Overall, Urban Core Yoga is a fantastic studio that offers a truly enriching yoga experience. If you're looking for a supportive and welcoming environment to improve your flexibility, reduce stress, and connect with yourself. Look no further than Urban Core Yoga. Awesome spot!
